“Go on...?” her friend urged, and plonked her butt down on the floor in front of her.

She sighed. “I... I can’t use long words. I can’t say words with more than one... um... beat.”

“You mean, syll-?”

Sab laughed. “Ooh, I love that!”

“Hmph. He teased me for a bit, and made fun of me - and then just left me like this! So rude. Why do I like him...?”

Then, snap - and AJ was back.

“There,” Sab smiled, and gave her a squeeze. “Now you should sound more dumb.”

“Oh, that not good,” the brown haired girl sighed. Then she frowned. “Whuh. Nuh. Me lose more words...? Fuck!”

Sab laughed. “There you go! You’re a real cave girl now!”
