Like a moth being drawn to the flame, I find myself pulled towards the pedestal. Everything else just doesn't seem that important. As the pages come into view and my eyes adjust to the brightness of the white page, I start to read what is written.

Ok ok … Think Anna… This was probably just a quirk he had about his so-called spell. My hand went to the back of my neck in response to my thoughts.
 
'Second rule, Anna cannot disobey a direct command from Gregory Manciny.'
 
I swallowed. What the fuck was this all about?
 
'Third Rule, Anna cannot, under any circumstance, touch or change this book.'
