Turning Talia (Vampires)
by tara
"You're actually going up to the creepy house on the hill? Sounds like the beginnings of a corny horror flick, girl!" Talia's best friend is grinning from ear to ear, thankful to finally close the mystery on what lies inside that oh so conspicuous manor skirting the edge of town. It's not a particularly wealthy area, so an opulent house like that sprouting up was sure to attract rumours. As it turns out, the building is owned by a pair of women who must come from cash unheard of around here. It bodes the obvious question of what the couple is doing here, a couple indeed according to Talia. In a town as tight knit as this, the young counsellor has the heavy burden of carrying the weighty problems of every struggling couple that calls Carnover Creek their home. This means that Talia has the unfortunate fate of facing all of her clients at any local haunts, from eating out to grocery shopping.
"It's something I've done before, you know. Like, unofficially I think it's okay to accept an invitation to dinner as way of thanks. Maybe if I was doing this job in the city it'd be a bit sketchy, but everyone knows everyone here so it'd just be a pain to play professional now. Besides, they're clearly loaded and I've been on microwave meals for fucking weeks, if you're gonna judge me I hope you're prepared to feed me, hm?" With a groan, the young therapist slaps her cheeks and sits forwards. It's getting late, she considers heading home before this sleepy town goes completely dark.
"Well that's the thing though, ain't it! Everyone knows everyone, 'sides from those loaded lesbos up on the hill. Reckon you can use your hypnosis stuff to make them distribute the wealth? I'd kill for microwave meals, you're practically royalty in my eyes."
"Don't be a bitch, Cassie. They're a little eccentric, but I don't think that has much to do with their orientation. About as old fashioned as that house, ironic given it was only finished last year. That's the sort of eccentricity that feeds well, they certainly tipped me generously during our sessions. Especially the last one, ehehe..." Talia is practically drooling as she reminisces the cash caressing her open palm, not sure whether to accept or not. Then came the invite of dinner, apparently to thank her for resolving all their issues. She took it as a sign that they were probably going to cancel further sessions, which is usually decided in a conversation had with the counsellor present.
If she's being entirely honest, those weekly sessions felt much, much stranger than her usual talks. That couple seemed far too unified to need Talia's services in the first place, but the poor girl needed money and so kept her mouth shut at the cost of her dignity. The two treated it as a game, asking Talia far more questions than she could manage to return in kind, the topic always veering to personal territory that Talia had to swiftly divert from. Despite that, they paid for her new car with those hefty tips so Talia smiled every Monday all the same, ready to fend off more intrusive inquiries.
"So anyway, you're really gonna go? Is it just gonna be you and them? If you don't have a boyfriend right now to take along, bring me! I'll give you all the PDA you need for a taste of the high life, hehe." The two laugh, but Talia refuses to take her best friend of twenty years and decides to brave it alone. Cassie pouts and mockingly kicks her out, sensing that Talia had been looking for an opportunity to leave since the topic arose.
"Ava, dear, could you fetch the wine from the basement? I'm feeling merlot, something that's aged as gracefully as yourself." Catherine calls out to her wife as she finishes arranging the table, lighting a couple more candles in their peculiar house void of the modern convenience that we call electricity. Even the chandelier swinging above them holds gentle flames, giving the room an ambience unlike any others that Talia has entered into. "Oh, our guest? I-I got distracted! Come in, come in!"
Ava stands with her arm around Talia's back, which gave the therapist pause as she was led into the dining room. Perhaps dining hall would be more apt, the sight enough to distract her from all else as she slips on her round glasses and takes in the room from another time.
"Your house is lovely... I'll admit, it's been the talk of the town for the better part of a year already. I'm uhm, honoured to be invited..." Usually she's more confident, but this place is even more bizarre than she had envisioned. Overwhelming opulence, like the set of a movie.
Catherine beams as she rushes over to greet her guest properly, curtseying in her long dress and taking the girl's hands in hers. "Adorable as ever, I hope you like Venison! Ava hunted it this morning and I've prepared a feast in thanks for saving our long troubled marriage." The woman's smile is as sweet as her perfume's cloying scent, Talia used to bearing it from across the room but not in such close proximity.
The woman still holding her side giggles light heartedly. "It was a fast buck, or maybe a doe? I'm not sure, it was in quite a state after I caught it." She flashes her teeth in a smile Talia can only consider menacing despite the friendly demeanour. "And yes, yes... we owe you very much, sweetie. Come and sit, I just need to fetch the wine, Catherine should be plating up in no time."
Taking her seat in the centre of the oversized dining table and running fingertip over the cloth, Talia lets out a heavy sigh before catching her rudeness. Her poor head is spinning, this entire scene surreal in ways that make her appreciate the setting of her office. In there, the two women were strange, but finally seeing them in their element only highlights the different reality they inhabit. For tonight, Talia will become a part of their strange reality as she temporarily kisses goodbye to the normal life outside these walls.
This table is ridiculous, the couple's counsellor thinks with wry amusement that she keeps inside. To say she fixed their marriage seems a little sardonic when the two women are posed to sit at opposite ends of this comically long table. Talia in the middle, feeling like the knot in a tug of war, hopefully they won't rip her in half as they vie for control over the dinner conversation. Talking over each other and wanting Talia's attention for themself was the biggest issue the therapist had actually managed to observe in those strange sessions. They were always far more interested in her than each other, this seating arrangement seems to support that. Talia doesn't see how she's saved anything, truth be told, but she's playing without all the cards after all.
Dinner is served! Despite everything, Talia's mouth still waters when she sees the feast on offer and tucks in the moment the dinner bell is rung and the two women begin to eat either side of her. This food is too rich to eat daily, she wonders if these two eat normal food the rest of the week or if this is a regular luncheon. It's hard to decide which seems more surprising, so she decides to drop the thought and enjoy her dinner. Catherine moves to pour her a goblet of wine, Talia lightly giggling at the fact it's a goblet and not simply a glass. When the woman catches her amusement, Catherine giggles too and pours Talia some more wine. It's clearly an expensive bottle but she did promise Cassie to make the most, wiping her lips after a hearty gulp and gasping as she feels fingers in her hair.
"Are you enjoying it, Talia? It's my personal favourite, though there are certainly greater pleasures than wine. This is one we bottled ourselves, a touch of Eva's blood makes it so rich and moreish." The older woman runs her fingers through Talia's hair, the therapist gulping and placing down the goblet with an alarmed expression. Before she can even begin to form a response, both women fill the room with echoing laughter that has Talia feeling the fool.
"Don't go scaring our esteemed guest, Catherine. Though I thought a smart girl with a doctorate such as yourself wouldn't go falling for such juvenile teasing. You'll have to excuse my wife, as I'm sure you've written in your notes, she's very much a free spirit. Speaking of free spirits, we have those on hand if the merlot isn't to your liking."
Talia feels those fingers leave her hair and forgets the strangeness of their presence due to her own embarrassment at believing such an obvious joke. Her cheeks are bright red, the younger woman eating a few mouthfuls of her meal bashfully before returning to the wine. "You really bottled this yourself? I'd assumed it much older judging by the bottle, though I suppose that goes well with the uhm... charming, vintage aesthetic of your wonderful home."
"Do they teach you flattery at grad school? I thought you had a duty to be honest and unbiased at all times... well, you're not on the clock right now so it's okay." Catherine laughs, tapping the table with those claw-like nails of hers while the woman opposite eyes Talia with dull red stare.
"Oh, we bottled it a long time ago, so you're not wrong. Such a clever young woman, we really liked your sessions. You've just the scent we were looking for, as rich and potent as this steak or the wine you swirl... ahh, it's been really difficult to hold back and pretend to enjoy this tasteless slop. No offense, dear." Ava bites her lip with a pearly fang tugging at the luscious cherry gloss.
Catherine's smile grows dark as she glances in satisfaction towards their guest. "Oh, I don't think the deer will be offended. It's most certainly dead, Ava. Now, show some table manners and stop toying with your food like that. It's bad etiquette to tease the poor thing before the wine has made her weak and malleable. Remember last time? We had to move to this backwater... I swear... this is why the two of us will never see eye to eye."
Ava pouts, moving meat and vegetables around her plate meekly as she refuses to make eye contact with the other. "F-forgive me, mother. It's just, look at those glazed eyes, she's ready. I could easily overpower her anyway, I don't know why you insist on this song and dance."
Talia sits in a slump between the two, eyes bugging out as she attempts to pick up her jaw and chew. This wine has gone straight to her head, it's making her unbearably hot and lethargic and... wait, did the hosts just say some very strange things, or is she simply too tipsy to make sense of their words right now? It's probably fine, she feels a magnetism to Ava in particular that insists on trust, the girl thinking back to that joke about her blood being in the wine and letting out a strange giggle before covering her mouth.
Both women smile as they observe a giggling Talia, forgetting their argument about table manners and the best way to enjoy a feeding. The older woman, Catherine, favours grace while Ava still has unrefined animal instinct that caused the poor deer's messy demise earlier in the day.
While Talia attempts to stop giggling, the two hosts close in around her and before she knows it she finds herself surrounded. A hand moves to press the goblet to her lips and she gracelessly accepts, still in a haze. "There we go, sweetie. Nice and pliant for us. You really were a good therapist, but I think your human ways of thinking were a little lost on us. We're going to give you a little therapy ourselves now, the relaxing kind that would usually take place on nice recliner. You'd like to relax, right? After a big meal and having a little too much to drink, it's understandable to need that. Do you need to relax, Talia?"
Oh, she knows this! Talia finally stops giggling as she swallows more of the intoxicating concoction that has her head becoming lighter than the air around her. So light she would surely float away were it not for these kind ladies holding her arms and cooling her overheating cheeks with their breath. Talia feels so grateful, first they wined and dined her and now they're offering to help her relax.
"Such a pretty little thing, she smells so delicious up close Mother. Can I go first? I really want to... I-I'm desperate, the animal blood from earlier was so disgusting and your lovingly prepared meal was a poor palate cleanser. Again, no offence."
Catherine rolls her eyes and takes hold of a blissed out Talia's chin, tilting the younger woman's face to meet her own. "We've paid for this well in advance, I hear you've a nice new set of wheels. You're very welcome, Talia, I hope it brings you happiness. We're going to drink your blood now, but it won't hurt. Just keep your eyes focused deeply on mine and you won't feel anything but a relaxing heat that smothers your body and soul. Can you do that for me, sweetie?"
It's so hard to think through the cobwebs in her brain, but Talia manages a sluggish nod as she stares up into her former client's pretty eyes. Catherine smiles in satisfaction, her irises glowing a bright, candy red that pulls her in completely. As her thoughts are siphoned out of her nodding head by vampire's charm, Ava licks over the skin on Talia's neck before sinking those sharp fangs into the flesh impatiently. Talia winces, but the pain is forgotten instantly as bright red envelops her mind, keeping her focused and obedient for her new mistress.
Ava feeds hungrily, a trickle of blood rolling down Talia's neck and staining her collar. The sound of her feast is indecent and erotic, the human's heady taste turning her on more than anything else ever could, girls like this are the best. Virgins are a little much but those who are just a little too pent up, who haven't dated in the past year or so, hit the sweet spot for her. She can taste all of Talia's frustrations and desires, she can taste her loneliness, she can taste the fantasies that play in her dreams and they're so pungent she can only beg for seconds.
After a while, Catherine sighs and snaps her fingers at Ava. "You foolish brat, look what you've done. I hate sharing with you, greedy slut... now you've done it."
Whining with puppy eyes, Ava pulls away from those puncture wounds on their docile dinner's neck and stares fearfully at her partner. "I-I'm sorry, I was really hungry and she's... so fucking good. You made me sit through all those mouth-watering sessions, this is your fault! I-I mean, sorry..."
The reason the two are at each other's throats again is simple. Ava, in her bloodlust, drank far too much of Talia's blood. Not just her portion, nor hers and Catherine's, but even more still.
"We'll have to give her some back, you know what that means." Catherine's voice is strict, admonishing her poorly behaved daughter. While a married couple of different bloodlines, in their society to turn somebody is to become their parent, Catherine did not want to watch her love grow old and leave her but knew that claiming her would change the dynamic forever.
"Yeah, she'll turn... like how you did me. I, are you going to do it?" The younger vampire stares at Talia, who is still lost in reverie despite her pale face.
"This is your mistake and besides, she's already primed with your blood. Go ahead, hon, make me a granny in my old age!" Despite her previously disappointed demeanour, Catherine's good humour returns, only clicking her tongue at the sight of a meal robbed from her after slaving away in the kitchen.
Ava nods and bites into her wrist, holding the dripping vampiric blood over Talia as it drips onto her lips. Within seconds the poor thing is hooked, latching around that wrist eagerly to drink the accursed blood that has her body changing. A sensation of burning deep inside, her eyes pooling red while in a blank state of trance.
"Don't give her too much, we'll keep her weak, our thrall. I was thinking that this house needs a live-in maid, this way we won't have to provide regular meals!"
Talia's eyes roll, feeling a fever coming on... was it something she ate?
"Sooooo, how did it go? You have to tell me everything, girl, I insist! Every little detail of that freaky ass house for starters, oh and that fancy food. They didn't serve like, Caviar right? Hate that shit." Cassie drones on as Talia sits on the opposite end of her best friend's couch, staring at the girl's neck in total distraction. A tunnel visioned Talia shakes herself from the light trance and asks her friend to repeat the question sheepishly. "God, you sure you're okay? You look kinda pale, girl. I can drive you back if you like."
"I-I've moved, actually." It takes all of her strength not to lunge at her friend, perhaps coming here was a mistake while her urges are still so volatile.
"Huh? Ooh let me guess, they invited you to become their concubine? Pretty hardcore stuff, Tali." Cassie bursts into laughter and throws a cushion at Talia, the therapist turned maid ducking under it with impressive reflexes.
"Ah... ahahaha! Don't be a bitch!" Talia blushes hard, remembering the nights since that fateful dinner, Mistress Catherine's lips against her back and Mother Avalene's curling fingers. Those exhilarating smacks when she disobeyed, the soothing warmth of reward when she was good. Red glowing eyes, burning submission into her soul as her mind becomes consumed with a deep desire to clean and serve and submit to her new owners. It isn't just a mental battle, her very blood is obedient, like she's been genetically restructured to become Ava's perfect thrall. It excites her when she considered how powerless she is to it all, she never even liked women before.
"Talia? You still there? Christ, if you wanna go home just say so. I've got a date with a dildo thicker than your forearm anyway."
The fresh vampire stares at her best friend and feels that urge grip her, a vice unwilling to let her leave unsated. Fuck, she thinks, wiping the sweat from her brow and resisting no longer. Crawling across the couch with unnatural speed, Talia climbs over her startled friend and indulges in a light snack. Thankfully she knows just how much trouble she'll be in if she drinks too much, so she pins down the struggling fusspot and feeds just long enough to get away with the impulsive act.
Warm red glow pushes into Cassie's mind when she pries away and tries to scream, her facial muscles relaxing as her friend turned monster seduces her with a spell of submission. Vampiric charm paired wonderfully with succulent kiss.
"Mmmhh... gosh, you taste so good... guess Mr. Dildo isn't doing it for you half as much as you say! You know, I always thought our town name sounded a bit like Carnivore Creek... ahaha, lots of predators to watch out for, you... you know? Ah... fuck, what do you say, pretty? Fancy becoming my private little treat the others don't have to know about? Don't answer, it's too late for that anyway... Casssiiiieee~ I never noticed how cute you were before, do you wanna kiss me? I wanna kiss you so so badly, so just say yes!"
"...y...es?" Cassie's expression is almost completely blank, her arms falling limply by her sides as her eyes reflect commanding red. Lips still specked with blood, Talia pushes her friend down on the couch and lunges into a messy kiss, grinding her body against the other's like the needy animal she is. Newborn vampires, while relatively weak, have no trouble overpowering feeble humans. Talia plays with her prey, a slave to her desires, spending the rest of her night charming Cassie over and over again while enjoying every inch of her. Only when she feels mistress's call in her very blood does Talia obediently wrap up and hurry home to attend to her duties, feeling very satiated and ready to work.
"H-how may I serve you, Lady Avalene?"
