Managing the Office
Chapter 1
by sammynona
Maggie opened the door to the office and was immediately met with angry shouts coming from the break room. "These people are fucking animals!"
The manager sighed and dropped her bad down on her secretary's desk. At least Gwen had come in early for the big day. Maggie took a moment to adjust the crisp blue pant suit she'd picked out, very professional but with her wide hips felt a little tight in some places. Whatever self-doubt she had over her figured had vanished on the walk to the office, several heads trailing after her to get a good look at the snug material clinging to her ample ass. With her strawberry blonde hair tied back and her best make up on she certainly was dressed to impress. It may have been unprofessional for the self-employed business woman to gauge her wardrobe by how much attention she received from men but being single at 35 Maggie preferred to always be on the lookout for someone special.
A violent smashing sound knocked Maggie away from inspecting her clothes and she hurried to the break room. She caught Gwen as the Indian girl was hefting the coffer maker over her head with what appeared to be every intention of throwing it into the wall.
"Everything alright, Gwen?"
"Oh, hey Maggie. Yeah, it's fine," Gwen answered awkwardly as she put the machine back on the counter. The other girls always were saying that one day the 28 year old would snap from the stress, and Maggie wondered if she really was about to destroy the coffee maker. "It's just those idiot girls broke the coffee machine. With how gunked up it is someone probably tried pouring coffee into the filter. Again."
"Relax, Gwen, we'll just get Sue to pick up coffer on her way into work."
"Sure, get the world's worst secretary onto it. That'll solve everything." The Indian girl scratched at her long black hair, golden eyes flashing angrily as she zoned out. Maggie trusted Gwen with her life, she'd been one of the big reasons their small software company had risen to any kind of success. But the woman had a nasty habit of carrying the weight of the universe on her shoulders. Everything that happened was a new catastrophe sure to sink them. Even if everything worked out for the best Gwen only took that as a sign that something worse was coming down the road. With her high strung brain ready to snap Maggie thought caffeine was the last thing Gwen needed.
"There, already told her to pick up coffee for you and me. Shouldn't take her too long, there's the place right down the block."
Gwen groaned. "Then I guess I'll get to sorting the mail like she's supposed to be doing already. You know she's just going to show up half an hour late anyway." The assistant manager trudged off to take care of other people's assignments, something she often did when they were falling behind. Or if Gwen didn't trust them to finish the task in the first place. Which was part of why the programmers kept slacking off more and more, leaving Gwen and Maggie more work to make up on.
A soft squeak on the floor made Maggie turn, catching sight of Carla before the girl rode off to her desk. "Morning Carla," she called happily with a wave. The young Hispanic woman slid her wheelchair to a stop and studied her boss as if she were some kind of alien being. Then seeming to decide the alien might be hostile gave the briefest of waves with her hand before moving off towards her desk again. The entire time she continued to listen to her heavy duty headphones, music still blaring quietly behind her.
Maggie sighed and wished she had coffee already. At least Carla waved back this morning, that's more than most got out of the girl. She was an amazing programmer, one of the best they'd scouted when she started the company the year before. But god her personal skills were missing in action and presumed dead. The businesswoman looked out at the cluttered office and remembered this was the old team, back when they were the only three employees. Her sucking up to companies to get them contracts while Gwen and Carla handled the actual programmer. Now with a successful career behind them Maggie had been able to hire three new programmers and the team was running like clockwork.
As long as you took into account the clock had been smashed on the floor with a child desperately trying to stuff the tiny metal gears back inside before anyone noticed. Maggie headed back to her office to start the calls for the day, desperately hoping this team building seminar would manage to help alleviate some of the tension. She snatched the brochure up off her desk, still scoffing slightly at the message.
"Manage your office like magic with hypnotic therapy to improve employee relations!"
It read like a bad infomercial, but hiring anyone decent cost money. Whereas this supposed hypno-therapist came cheap. She'd gotten a glowing recommendation from a past office she'd visited, though Maggie had been shocked to learn the number was to a pornography studio.
"Don't worry," the office manager had replied hearing her shock, "Bridgette helped us out before we changed career paths. Our office team used to specialize in stock footage and let me assure you her therapy worked wonders. The employees got along great, everyone so helpful and eager to please others. Our business had never been better."
"If you don't mind me asking, if things had improved so much why did you change your business to…?"
"Filming people fucking?" The woman answer cheekily. "We set out knowing people would always need B-roll for commercials and corporate pitches. But then we realized people were far more eager just to watch others having sex. The money was just too good to pass up."
Maggie had shrugged at that, deciding it certainly sounded more exciting than filming stock footage. Thankfully she had picked a more fulfilling career in computer programming. "So you would recommend Bridgette's hypno-therapy then?"
"Absolutely. Trust me, you'll never be happier making your employees so happy."
It was only later that Maggie realized the woman's comment was lifted straight off the back of the brochure. Then again it was listed as one of Bridgette's 'self-empowering mantras' that she would go over in the course. She put the pamphlet back on the table and powered up her computer. She'd worry about crackpot hypnosis later. Right now she needed to get some work done before the other girls arrived and the usual problems started up.
Besides, if Bridgette can hypnotize the girls to get along even a fraction more than they do now it would be money well spent. What was the worst that could happen?
~ ~ ~
It wasn't long before Sasha scampered into the office like a frightened mouse, always on the alert for the owl about to swoop down and get her. Maggie waved from inside her office, trying not to spook her. The short girl was bundled up in a thick sweater as per usual and resembled a brown puff of fabric that had happened to grow a human head. Dani and Louise would normally make nasty jokes wondering what she really looked like under all that thick baggy clothing. Maggie would always scold them for being so rude, but even she had to wonder why Sasha was always so shy and hiding from view.
But with no one else in the office visible yet Sasha seemed to be relaxed so far, even smiling back at Maggie and returning a tiny wave. The boss stood up experimentally and started to go towards her, hoping to have a decent conversation for once. She'd hired the mousy girl three months ago and still had hardly gotten to speak to her outside of delegating assignments.
Just when it seemed like the girl was ready to open up the door slammed open and Sasha actually jumped in surprise. Sue had stormed into the office, the Korean girl dressed in dazzling white and laughing loudly with someone on the phone. At least she had the containers of coffee in her other hand. And this time she remembered to pick up for everyone and not just her. Maggie turned to ask Sasha if she wanted some but the programmer had already slipped away, hiding in her cubicle off in the corner of the office.
"You sure know how to make an entrance, Sue," Maggie said frustrated. The secretary didn't respond if she heard and kept up the conversation about some club she'd been to the night before. The coffee stayed in her hand and she made no move to put it down for others. Maggie sighed and headed back to her desk, assuming she'd get it when the call was over.
One of the reasons for their success had been the funding they received from Mr. Park, a respected businessman in the cyber sector. He saw promise in Maggie and her time and agreed to help as a silent partner, introducing them to larger contracts while Maggie retained full control of her self-started company.
"I only ask that you take on my daughter, help teach her some responsibility. Not even as a programmer. You only need her to work under you as a secretary for a short time so she can observe an independent woman rising to success."
Maggie had truly been touched by the request, and given everything Mr. Park had done to help them it seemed like a small catch to a great deal. Only after she'd known Sue for a week had she gone back over the conversation and realized how completely she'd fallen into the trap. Now she was stuck with a spoiled, rich brat who refused to do any actual work. The idea of even going to Mr. Park to tell him of his daughter's behavior was out of the question, so most of her duties fell onto her and Gwen's shoulders since they didn't have money in the budget for a second secretary.
Maggie snatched up her phone and brought up Sue's twitter feed. She'd had to get Dani to show her how to use the application, for a computer geek she was clueless on social media. But being one of Sue's followers usually kept her up to date on the Korean brat.
For instance, today's lovely update: Just spit in my bitchy boss's coffee. Gonna try to grab a pic of her drinking it! #bitchboss
"Morning Maggie," Sue said cheerfully as she came in, face dazzling like a model employee. "I made sure to get the coffee like you asked. Hope you enjoy."
"Thanks, Soo-Jin," Maggie replied taking the cup.
The girl's face darkened immediately.
"You know I hate being called that," Sue said. She seemed to have it in her head that to be a successful model she needed to stick with an American name. Or really she did hate her birth name.
"Sorry, I'll keep that in mind." Sue smiled suddenly, remembering she was trying to play nice to prank her boss. Maggie had been trying to use the girl's real name to let her know when she'd pissed her off. Of course the girl never caught on, though maybe she never cared enough to pay attention. Maggie sighed and waited until the secretary left before tossing the coffee in the trash. Guess she'd have to survive the morning without caffeine.
But once Sue went back to her desk to spend the day on her phone Maggie barely had a moment's rest before Gwen came charging in, veins on her neck standing out.
"They're at it again," she spat, as if uncovering some great conspiracy.
"Who?" Maggie asked, though she knew exactly who Gwen was talking about. She just didn't know what Dani and Louise were up to now.
"Dani and Louise are the only two not in the office. But I checked the timeclock and it says they punched in half an hour ago."
Maggie pinched her nose, hopes that today would start smoothly vanishing. At this point she was ready to trust her employees to hypnosis if it meant not having every morning play out like this.
"Check the roof, that's where they were hiding to smoke last time."
Gwen nodded, marching off with the authority of a U.S. Marshall bringing in two fugitives from justice. The Indian girl was being worn down by the amount of stress she put on herself, but at the same time she thrived off of the drama and tension. If there wasn't a situation out of hand Gwen would find some way to escalate it. At this point Maggie was afraid she was the only sane, normal person in the office. But then she probably had her own kind of crazy she was just too close to see.
She checked the clock and figured it was time to round up the troops. Bridgette the hypno-therapist would be here in twenty minutes. May as well tell everyone what they were in for. Chanting mantras and relaxing poses. No different than yoga, Maggie told herself. Although if the day involved stretching maybe she should have picked looser clothes. Somehow she got an image of introverted Sasha stretching, her clothes so loose that you couldn't even tell the difference as she changed poses.
Maggie stifled the laugh, knowing it was rude. Sasha was just shy about…well, something. And she was by far the least of her worries. Still if the hypnosis could make her a little more open to interaction Maggie would certainly be thankful for that.
~ ~ ~
"This is bullshit," Dani snapped spitefully. The black girl held her ground defiantly, made up like a groupie at a heavy metal show. Her style was leather bands and numerous piercings, streaks of purple died into her short frizzy hair and deep violet lipstick. She certainly would seem imposing, but Maggie knew that deep down underneath she was still a rotten bitch.
"It's just a team building seminar, Dani. Nothing to get bent out of shape over."
"Wait, we're doing that team building trust fall crap? Nobody told me."
"Yes, it's been on the schedule all week and," Maggie paused. "If you didn't know about the seminar what were you possibly complaining about?"
"That the drill sergeant interrupted our smoke break," Dani spat. Louise nodded from her usual space behind Dani, the hefty girl always acting as her muscle. Dani was tall and thin, the black girl could easily pass for a model if it wasn't for her extreme taste in fashion. Meanwhile Louise was a head over her, large hips and enormous breasts that gave her the trademark nickname Maggie hated, always imagining it to be an HR nightmare. "It's not fair for Gwen to drag us down here, isn't that right, Jugs?"
"Yeah, we weren't doing anything wrong," Jugs chimed in.
"Louise," Maggie made a point of saying her real name. "You know for a fact that you can't take a break the instant you clock in."
"We were just taking the break early so we could work more later," Dani said stepping in.
"Maybe if you two ever actually did all of your work for the day maybe you could try that as an excuse," Gwen cut in. Dani narrowed her eyes, eager for a fight.
"You wanna go, Gwen? Bring it, I'll take you on." Dani bared her teeth, spike studded bracelet flashing menacingly. Gwen balled up her fists, the Indian girl nearly at her breaking point and ready for the instant satisfaction of decking her right in her smug face. Maggie ran in between them, trying to hold her hands out to keep things professional. Sasha hid at her desk while Carla watched with barely any interest, absorbed in her music. Sue had taken out her phone hoping to record the fight and send it to her friends, secretly praying Maggie would get hit in the face with a stray punch. Jugs was the worst of them all, jumping up and down excitedly, shouting "Fight, Fight, Fight!"
"Louise, that's not helping!" Maggie shouted desperately, seeing that she was clearly alone in the office. Gwen and Dani ran forward at each other, the boss barely managing to keep them separate as they started swiping at one another.
And just when it seemed like the fight was inevitable a high pitched whistle blasted through the room, making everyone cringe at the sharp pain ricocheting through their heads. When the painful noise finally ended all of the girls in the office turned to the door and discovered a mysterious woman standing there, silver whistle in her mouth. Her hair was a brilliant shade of red, practically burning and lighting up the room. The woman's skin was pale with red freckles adorning her cheeks, all while dressed in a stylish crimson gown. She popped the whistle out of her mouth and smiled brightly.
"I'd say that I showed up just in time," Bridgette the hypnotherapist announced proudly.
Gwen and Dani pushed away from one another, the fight clearly called off. Instead they focused on straightening their hair and outfits while Maggie ran forward gratefully.
"You must be Bridgette, I'm sorry you had to see all of that."
"Nonsense, most offices try to hide their dysfunctions. Call for my services to deal with interpersonal problems and yet when I arrive they all try to pretend everything runs perfectly and there never really was any need for me at all. It's refreshing to see a workplace so open about its problems."
Maggie put on a brave smile, still trying to decipher if that was meant to be a compliment. Bridgette strolled into the breakroom, clapping her hands and taking in the sight of the seven women as if they would be an excellent project. "Excellent, everyone's here. I think we're all going to really have a lot of fun together."
"Question," Dani said raising a hand lazily. It was clearly meant to be a joke but Bridgette spun on her heel to face her, seemingly entirely devoted to answering whatever Dani's question might be. The heavy metal girl was thrown off for a moment but went on regardless. "First, what drugs are you on to be this hyper? And two, where can I buy them?"
Bridgette laughed brightly at the joke, damping Dani's hopes of pissing of this weird, energetic woman. "I knew right off the bat you would have an excellent sense of humor. You can see it in the flair of your wardrobe," Bridgette waved a hand to her black shirt and pants, broken up by small accents of red and more black. Dani was used to being made fun of but the redhead seemed to be genuinely complimenting her. The black girl felt her cheeks blushing, oddly proud of being complimented.
"Uhm, thanks, I guess." Dani tried to play it off but the woman's intense energy was having a weird effect on her.
"No need to thank me, dear. You're the one who put that great style together. A girl with your abilities could be a great asset, able to make friends with everyone and keep your coworkers laughing. But something tells me you've been more comfortable making fun of others than trying to raise spirits." Bridgette winked at her, leaving Dani confused if she was being chastised or not. But the strange combination made her feel disappointment, as if she weren't living up to her potential. Dani shook her head, trying to fight off the weird feelings.
"Look, I was hired to work here, not be friends. I don't need some shrink coming in telling me I'm not adding to office productivity or some shit."
"Oh I'm not a therapist," Bridgette giggled. "I'm a hypnotist, dear."
"Seriously?" Dani and Louise laughed to each other. Even Carla and Sasha gave disbelieving stares while Gwen rolled her eyes, never believing in this seminar from the beginning. But Bridgette didn't seem to falter at all, instead she seemed to thrive on their skepticism.
"I know, I know, it's seems funny. But it is true," she said to them knowingly. "Hypnotism gets shown on television as something cheesy, like swinging a watch around. Or Bela Lugosi waving his hands and telling you to look into his eyes." Bridgette put her hands up, one palm facing Dani and the other aimed at Gwen. They started in surprise but couldn't help but laugh as Bridgette began rolling her hands in slow circles, putting on a cheesy act. "I can see how you would doubt someone telling you they could control you by doing this," the redhead joked to the other girls, not even paying attention to Dani and Gwen.
Suddenly her hands changed rhythm, catching the two girls by surprise. Her hands were circling in the other direction now, moving to a different beat almost. They watched the hands curiously, and when they changed rhythm against it was as if her hands vanished from the air for a moment. Watching and waiting for the pattern they'd seen they were caught off guard as it changed. But her hands reappeared to them after a brief moment, dancing in a new formation.
Slowly the laughter died off, Maggie and the other girls confused at why Bridgette was still doing the ridiculous moves with her hands. To them she simply seemed to be waving and spinning her hands in circles. But time was slowing down for Gwen and Dani, each girl staring raptly at the hand before them. Struggling to keep track of it, watching every rhythm and movement to see the pattern, but every time Bridgette changed motions it was as if they went black, waiting for the next movement.
Suddenly her hands vanished and Bridgette snapped with each hand. The sound echoed through the room, the other women exchanging glances while Maggie considered just how much money she had wasted on this scam. But Dani and Gwen didn't notice any of this. They blinked slowly, heads bobbing as they stared ahead blankly.
"Now when I came in you two girls were ready to fight," Bridgette announced with authority, a teacher reprimanding her students. "I think you two should hug and apologize now." The redhead swept her hands together, pointing to the girl opposite. Dani and Gwen turned in a daze, following the hands and seeming to notice the other girl for the first time.
Maggie, and the other girls gasped in wordless shock as Gwen and Dani raised their hands and embraced warmly, hugging as if they were long lost sisters.
"I'm sorry I'm so strict on you," Gwen apologized.
"It's my fault," Dani said sadly. "I'm sorry for being such a bitch."
"There, doesn't that feel better?" Bridgette asked.
"Yes," the two girls said in unison, smiling happily as they kept hugging. Maggie had her mouth open in sheer disbelief and joy, even Carla had taken off her headphones to take in the impossible sight of Gwen and Dani hugging one another.
"Now wake up," the hypnotist said with a snap of her fingers. The Indian girl and the black girl blinked rapidly, turning to look at the other in surprise. Nose to nose they stared in shock before jumping backwards.
"What the fuck was that?" Dani shouted.
"Holy shit," Jugs muttered. "She totally mind-fucked you two."
Bridgette tittered, taking a small bow. "I prefer to think I helped them reconcile."
"Hardly," Dani huffed. "I'm still pissed at her. Just because you forced us to hug doesn't make us best friends."
"Well you were only hypnotized for a minute. I need more time to make more…permanent changes take place."
For someone reason the seductive smile of her crimson lips made every girl shiver.
"That's why you're boss booked me for the entire day," Bridgette announced happily.
"Well it's really only two hours," Maggie said awkwardly. For some reason the enthusiasm she felt seeing Dani and Gwen get along had been replaced by a strange fear. The idea of a two hour hypnosis session was fun when it was clearly a scam. But really being in trance, at her command? The voice of the woman who'd recommended Bridgette came back to Maggie, for some reason her imagining the woman on a porn set, on all fours and smiling widely. "You'll never be happier," the woman purred.
"Don't worry, Margaret. Seeing how your employees obviously need some help I'm ready to comp you for the rest of the day. It's going to be fun working with all you girls."
"Well maybe it's not really necessary," Maggie tried to cut in.
"You'll love the session when I'm done with you," Bridgette announced as she snapped in Maggie's face. The forty year old blinked and a goofy smile spread over her face, posture relaxing like the strings holding her up were cut.
"We'll love the session when you're done with us," she recited dazedly.
Carla started in surprise, backing up in her wheelchair. "When did you hypnotize her?" The other girls would have been shocked to hear Carla speak but her question was far more important to worry about.
"When you were all busy watching my hands do their lovely dance. I just let you think my two volunteers were the only ones to go under." Bridgette answered happily.
Carla put her hands on the wheels and started rolling out of the room. "Well count me out." Bridgette admired her nails, waiting until the Hispanic girl had left the room.
"Carla," she suddenly sang, snapping her fingers. The other girls shivered, hearing Carla's wheels squeak to a halt. "Come back in here and recite what you're cute boss said a moment ago."
Carla rolled back into the room, wearing the same drugged expression Maggie was still stuck in. She braked to a stop next to Maggie and clearly said "We'll love the session when you're done with us."
Sasha shot up out of her desk, the shy girl wilting as Bridgette's bright green eyes flashed on her. Hands tucked in her huge sweater she mumbled "C-Can I say something?"
"Of course you can, dear. And I bet you know exactly what you should say.
Snap.
"We'll love the session when you're done with us," Sasha answered slowly, hands dropping to her sides. Sue reacted suddenly as Bridgette turned to her. The Korean girl flashed the camera at her. "I'm recording all of this! So if you do anything-"
"Do anything like this?" Bridgette said snapping her fingers, making Sue droop like her power had been switched off. "Erase the video, dear." Sue pressed at the phone with her thumb, apparently forgetting she had a second hand to use. She nodded slowly when it was done. "Good girl, now say the magic phrase."
"We'll love the session when you're done with us."
Bridgette rounded on Gwen and Jugs, raising one hand to each face and snapping loudly. Even without instruction the two girls went under, reciting in unison "We'll love the session when you're done with us."
Bridgette straightened up, smiling at the dazed girls in the room proudly. Dani was the last one left awake, staring in complete shock. She went up to Jugs and waved a hand in front of the bigger girl's face, but she simply stared ahead without any concerns. Dani ran to Maggie and saw that her boss was drooling, eyes vacant with no shred of thought visible in her head.
"So," Bridgette said suddenly, making the black girl jump in surprise. "Still think hypnosis is bullshit?"
"I-I never said that," Dani answered carefully, not wanting to be on her bad side.
"It was pretty obvious, dear."
"Well, you've made a full believer out of me." Dani wandered over to Sue, plucking the phone out of her hand. This phone was her life, her pride and joy. She never gave it to anyone, which meant she really was gone without a trace. Bridgette giggled as she watched the heavy metal chick balance the phone on top of her head.
"Perhaps a little childish, don't you think?"
"And making everyone recite stuff for you isn't," Dani countered. The redhead shrugged, while the black girl went back to Maggie, wicked thoughts flashing through her mind. "Do you have any idea the kind of evil shit you could do with an ability like this?"
She turned to face Bridgette and felt her heart freeze at the sight of that cruel grin on the pale girl's face. A smile that made it all too clear the hypnotist was aware of the evil shit she was capable of. "As a matter of fact I do have an idea, Dani. Why with this power I could make everyone here my sex slaves."
"Yeah, exactly," Dani laughed. "Or a bunch of other stuff."
"Nope, I think I'm good with mindless sex slaves." Bridgette suddenly pointed at Maggie, standing blankly beside Dani. "Maggie, call me mistress and declare yourself as my sex slave."
Maggie instantly obeyed, Dani staring at her boss in shock as she announced "Yes my Mistress, I will be your obedient sex slave."
"Now the rest of you girls chime in," Bridgette laughed loudly.
With growing fear Dani watched as her coworkers all chanted in unison. "Yes Mistress. We will be your obedient sex slaves."
Bridgette faced Dani now, the black girl backing away scared. "I'll give you one guess on what I plan to do with you," she said seductively.
"You can't really…you can't do this to us."
"Of course I can," Bridgette replied dismissively. "I put you in trance, you're mine to play with as I see fit." Dani turned to sprint away but the crisp snap of Bridgette's fingers turned her legs to stone. She felt instantly drugged, floating and melting. Bridgette appeared in front of her, bright red hair burning richly. "But don't worry too much, Dani. I'm still going to help improve the office like your boss paid me to. I am a professional after all."
Her pale hands reached out and caressed Dani's breasts, making the half-entranced black girl moan. "Though the way I plan to make all of you girls happier may not exactly be what she expected. But I can make you two promises Dani."
Dani moaned, unable to make words anymore. The ability to speak had melted from her mind as she stared into Bridgette's green eyes. "You're going to love all the changes I make by the time I'm done. And by the end of today you'll be thanking me."
The heavy metal girl wanted to fight and curse but resistance had long since gone out the window. Helplessly she watched as Bridgette's pale hand slithered down into her pants, cupping her pussy. "Now cum for me, and become mine."
Dani erupted in orgasm, cumming and drenching her Mistress' fingers.
"Yes, Mistress," she moaned blankly, "I-"
~ ~ ~
"I have to say that wasn't as stupid as I thought it would be," Dani muttered. The other girls were chatting happily, all stretching and feeling fantastic. Even Dani had to admit she'd never felt so loose and limber in her life. Bridgette must have had them doing yoga in all sorts of positions while they were under.
"Yeah, I feel amazing," Jugs agreed, stretching up and giving Dani an eyeful of her huge tits rising on her chest. Dani's eyes lingered, licking her lips hungrily before she caught herself. Was she just leering at Louise? Sure, her tits were amazing. But she wasn't into chicks. Of course it was hard to fight the evidence when she realized how wet she felt. God, why had she decided not to wear panties to work today? It was such a weird thing to-
You didn't wear panties today. Do not be concerned by this.
Dani blinked and shrugged. Nothing wrong with going commando. Or feeling really horny. Perfectly natural.
Maggie was thanking Bridgette, but still the older woman seemed tense. "That really was amazing, and thank you for the extra hours." Bridgette smiled, waiting for her to finish. "I’m just not sure if it's really going to improve anything around here."
"Just wait and see dear. Give it a week and see if you notice any…improvements," the redhead replied with a sly wink. The others were all filing out of the office, unconcerned about all of the work they didn't do today. Even Gwen seemed to hardly even be aware of the lost day. Dani was one of the last to file out, Jugs waiting for her at the door to hurry up and leave already.
"So how did you enjoy the session?" Bridgette asked her, as if knowing Dani would stay behind to chat.
"It was…okay, it was a lot of fun. Thanks for everything," the black girl said, oddly feeling a sense of defeat. As if she'd lost something by thanking her. But the pleasure of the trance stayed with her and Dani hardly paid the concern any attention.
"Think nothing of it, I'm happy to help."
"But even if hypnosis isn't bullshit," Dani cut in, "I'm still not planning on turning into some kind of Stepford office worker."
"Of course not, like I said I really love your style," Bridgette said with a laugh. "I just think you could stand to be a little nicer to your coworkers. Do you know why?"
Dani scoffed, the answer obvious. "Of course, because others are pleased when you're nice to them, so you feel pleasure being nice." The black girl suddenly blinked. Why had she said that?
Bridgette tried to hide her laughter, and Dani scowled. "You put some stupid sentence in my head, didn't you?"
"Maybe, but if you don't enjoy it I'd be happy to take it away. Give it a week and see if you aren't happier being nice to others."
Dani rolled her eyes and stormed out, following Jugs as they left the office. For some reason none of them seemed to mind that they couldn't remember the seven hour session. Or care that they'd left Bridgette alone in their office. The redhead whistled to herself as she climbed up on chairs, retrieving the cameras she placed. Once those were safely in her bag she got to work lifting ceiling tiles and planting the hidden cameras. She had a lot of fun ideas in store for this group, they could be even more fun that the stock footage outfit she'd corrupted into a porn studio. And Bridgette wasn't going to let herself miss a second of the fun soon to come.
