Hannah enters the Secret House “dungeon” to check on Lily. Their test subject is, at her own request, topless and tied up in a relaxed kneeling position on the floor.

“Is Luna ready?” she asks when she sees Hannah.

“Soon. Catherine says she’s beginning to wake from her turning. Are you comfortable like that?”

“Being restrained is really cozy. I’m excited to be part of changing the world, and not dying and all that, but I’m pretty nervous too, so it’s comforting. I can strain against the rope all I want instead of letting my body actually flail around. And also my mistress thinks it’s hot.”

Hannah smiles. “I’m so glad I’m part of a community where people can just say ‘my mistress’ as easily as ‘my girlfriend’.”

“I mean, she’s both, but right now that seems like the more important label.”

“I know exactly what you mean.”

“So, what’s being fed on like? Is there anything I should know first?”

“I’m not going to lie, being bitten is hot. I even thought so my first time, before I was a thrall, so that’s not just the mind control talking. Venom is more-or-less a drug that makes you feel nice and relaxed and spacey, and then you give a part of your life to someone you love. It’s romantic. And I’m sure you’re going to do a great job for your mistress.”

Luna stirs as Hannah leaves. As she sits up, Catherine asks “How are you feeling?”

Luna closes her eyes, holds up a finger in a “wait” gesture, and says, “one minute, running mental integrity checks.” After a few seconds, she reports, “my conscious self is still intact but the sensations from my body are weird, I’ll need to adjust to that sense of hunger.”

Catherine hands Luna a glass of blood. “Drink this, I don’t want you to be thirsty in case you would risk hurting your girlfriend.”

Luna gulps down the glass and asks, “is there any other safety information I need?”

“I’ll be watching the whole time, and I’ll signal for you to stop if you come anywhere close to taking too much. For this first one, just inject a small amount of venom and take a small amount of blood; you should find you have an intuitive sense of what counts as small.”

“Got it.”

“It’s a unique kind of intimacy. Lily is giving a part of herself to you, willingly. And of course, once your first feeding is safely complete, Hannah and I will let you have some privacy for anything else you might want to do afterwards.”

Catherine leads Luna out of the room, down the stairs, and into the room where the two humans are waiting. Luna kneels down in front of her girlfriend, wraps her hands around the back of her head, pulls her in for a kiss. “You smell delicious.”

“Want to find out how I taste?”

“Where do I bite?”

Catherine steps in and traces a finger along Lily’s jugular. “You want to go for the veins, not arteries. This one is a safe, traditional choice.”

Catherine watches as Luna extends her fangs for the first time, bites down, and takes her first drink. Lily shivers, straining against the ropes tied around her. Part of Catherine’s attention is also on Hannah, who seems to be enjoying what she sees, the cutest blush on her face.

Catherine taps Luna to signal her to stop. She lets go of Lily’s neck and wraps her arms around her.

“Are you both feeling alright?” Hannah asks.

“I’ve never felt better,” Luna answers.

“That was hot,” Lily says. “Thank you, mistress.” She smiles, gazing lovingly at Luna.

“I’m glad. Now, we’ll give you both some privacy.” Catherine takes Hannah’s hand and leads her out of the room and up the stairs into an unoccupied guest bedroom. A successful experiment is cause for celebration.

“Are you thirsty?” Hannah asks

“I fed yesterday, love.”

Hannah frowns for a moment. “Alright, but is there anything else I can do for you?”

Catherine grins. “I think there is,” she says as she pushes Hannah onto the bed.
