Greg stared deep into the center of the mechanized  spiral. He remembered that it pulled him down. He remember that it pulled him in.

Always deeper into the spiral.

His hypnotist Samuel was saying words to him but he knew he didn't need to consciously pay attention.

He just needed to stare deeper into the spiral

Into the spiral

Into the spiral

Spiraling down into trance

Suddenly there was a click. And the spiral....

Reversed

And Samuel said that he was spiraling UP out of trance.

So Greg followed the spiral up

And he found that he remembered how to blink.

As the lines circled outwards, his mind and body felt more connected. 

His back was a bit sore, he noticed. He wondered how long he had been sitting here.

He felt himself start to stretch, feeling much more aware.

As his thinking cleared, a sudden thought entered his mind.

What was he doing here?

Wait! His name wasn't Greg at all! It was...

Click!

The spiral reversed again. 

Into the spiral, Greg's thoughts suddenly whispered to him. Into the spiral. 

Greg found his mind frantically trying to chase his previous thoughts

But his gaze involuntarily traced the lines of the descending spiral.

Into the spiral 

And things were so fuzzy

Into the spiral

and falling was so sweet

Into the spiral

Deep

Peaceful

Dreamy

Blank
