Alice breathed in deeply and set her index finger on the mouse button before pressing firmly. This was the beginning of a new life for her, the start of something special, a brand new character in her game. Sure, you could just throw a character together but this was for the next expansion -- it could be years of gameplay, might as well get it right. The screen went bright white, and her brand new character spawned in New Brittania.

The town was just as she remembered, but with a few minor changes since the end of the last main story quest. The city had been overrun with these evil wizards and witches that could take over player characters. It was such an innovative idea; essentially removing control from the player making it even riskier to do cross-faction PvP fights. At the end of the last quest Alice destroyed the final witch and bound her in crystal.

“I wonder if I still have that quest item. I can’t believe I got the first worldwide clear of that quest.” Alice mumbled to herself smiling at the screen opening up her inventory and clicking on the crystal. The screen went white.
