Prompt: Post-Hypnotic Reaction
Day 17 of @Syas-Nomis's @Hypnovember 2025!
This one took quite a while, and I think you can tell I ran out of steam towards the end of the second chapter, but I really wanted to get it out because I just thought it was a really funny concept honestly.
Jenna's vision swam with murky spirals, flickering sparkles, and indistinct swinging motions. She gave a blissful moan that turned into a groan as she woke up. "...mmmngh, up-up at em Jenna..." Her self-hypnosis trigger served to let her right eye open slightly wider, but she was still completely out of it. Hypno-hangovers certainly felt better than regular ones, but they could be far more debilitating. What the heck had she done last night...? She'd have to check her phone... Maybe ask Dell if they remembered anything, they weren't into hypnokink so they probably had control of their mind right now... She stumbled downstairs and grabbed a glass of water from the fridge, letting the cool drink wash away the spirals. As she looked around her kitchen, her mind slowly waking up, a thought suddenly occurred to her. "...Wait... Why am I back home instead of in my dorm...?" She quickly checked her phone. 2% Battery, 87 unread messages, and 4 missed calls. She groaned. Truly, what the FUCK did she do last night?
She quickly skimmed the messages to see if any might give her a clue about last night before the phone shut off. Spam, assignment, spam, Ew no, spam, Boss- Ohno! [Jenna. Marcy called out sick. Would you kindly take over her shift for today? XOXO Trish] Jenna panicked and responded [Okay yep!] before she could even consider the feasibility. She was on thin ice already, she did not want to risk pissing off her boss again. She checked the clock on the wall. 11 AM, okay, uhhhhh Marcy had evenings right? Last she checked her home was about 2 hours from the college, and work was about half an hour from there, so... Yeah, she could make it in time, easily! She let out a sigh of relief and headed to the living room to grab her purse. Luckily hypnotized her had had the foresight to hang it in the regular spot, it seemed. She walked past the couc-Suddenly something slammed into her side, knocking her over.
"Aah! What the- HUH?!" A unfamiliar woman wearing a wrinkled rainbow dress and heels tackled Jenna to the floor. Her multicolored hair was long and incredibly messy, untied ribbons tangled throughout. Jenna tried to get up, but the woman held tight. "Get... Off of me! What the heck?!" The woman ignored her, intensely snuggling up to her while making blissful, babbling noises. "Mmm, Mistress~! Mmmm..." Jenna groaned loudly. Great, she'd hypnotized someone while under... Again... Hopefully they consented... She rapidly clicked her fingers. "Hey, hey, snap out of it! Up-up!" The woman released her, but still looked at her with a blissful expression. "I'm sorry, but... Who are you?" The woman blinked, confused. She looked even more out of it than Jenna was. "Ugh... *Click-Click* Tell me your name." She gestured towards the woman, and the woman seemed to understand. "...Princess~!" Jenna buried her face in her hands. "...Your REAL name, Princess..." 'Princess' vigorously shook her head, and Jenna sighed. "No, I know your real name isn't 'Princess', I-... Whatever. Do you want something to drink, Princess?" Princess just stared blankly, which, given her state, was basically a yes... And Jenna could really use some coffee anyway, so she started up a pot.
'Princess' had already finished freshening up by the time the Coffee was ready, and Jenna was sipping her own sweet and creamy cup. She offered the rest to Princess. "You want some, uh... some... you know, that..." She gestured at the creamer and sugar and stuff, temporarily forgetting the word. Princess stared at her hand, her eyes wide. "...Mhm, Yes, Mistress~!" She grabbed the coffee pot and began mixing every single thing into it... Jenna really needed to remember not to accidentally give her subs commands like that... After making a diabetic/lactose intolerant person's nightmare, Princess picked up the steaming pot and began pouring it... Straight into her mouth. "WHAT NO STOP THAT'S DANGEROUS PRINCESS STOP!" Princess continued undaunted and quickly drained the entire pot. She stood there, shaking, with wide eyes and a trembling smile. "Princess, are you ok-" Princess suddenly started chattering excitedly, her chipper voice going a mile a minute. Jenna couldn't at all make out what she was saying. "Princess, please speak slower." Princess did not slow down. In fact, she sped up. Jenna started to get a headache trying to understand her. Nothing was making sense! It's almost like she... wasn't speaking English... Oh.
A command to speak English didn't seem to affect Princess, and Jenna was forced to conclude that she maybe didn't UNDERSTAND English either. How had she ended up hypnotizing someone that didn't speak her language? ...More importantly, WHY did she do that? What in Hypnotized Jenna's mind made that seem like at all a good idea?! Well, Princess was very beautiful... But still! Whatever the case, she couldn't waste too much time, she needed to keep her job. Grabbing her purse, she headed towards the door... And stopped. She looked back at Princess currently trying and failing to use the coffeemaker. On one hand, taking them with her to work might constitute kidnapping, but on the other... They might be too hypnotized to take care of themselves right now, and as a domme, it was Jenna's responsibility to take care of her subs... "Hey, Princess, come with me!" She beckoned towards them and they bounded happily towards her. Hopefully she could get this sorted out before her shift at work. But her car was pretty fast, so she could get home in plenty of time to... to figure... Uh... Uh oh. "WHERE IS MY CAR?!"
The driveway was completely empty. For a horrifying moment Jenna was worried somebody had stolen her car, but the light, uniform dusting of snow on the ground made it clear that there hadn't been a car parked there at all. "I... Whah... Oh, wait, I probably just called a rideshare haha! Definitely a much better idea than driving like this, let me just do that again!" She pulled out her phone, turned it on, and saw her lock screen for one second before it ran out of battery. "...Right... Uh... Probably don't have a spare charger inside either... Uh, Princess, do you have your phone with you?" She gestured to her phone, and Princess stared blankly before reaching into her pocket and pulling something out. It was a smooth white crystal filled with rivulets of glittering gold, lit by a shimmering light in the center. The crystal emitted a soothing, heavenly light that made everything around them seem dark by comparison. It was absolutely mesmerizing... It was also obviously not a cellphone. She bit her lip, mostly to try and break out of the light trance the crystal placed her in, and gestured to Princess to put it away. "Well... I could try and get a new charger, but the nearest store that might have one is in town, so we'd need to catch a bus... and at that point it'd probably be best to just use public transportation the whole way..." She sighed and grabbed Princess's soft, silky hand. "Come on Princess, we've got a day ahead of us..."
Jenna was very glad that some of the bus stops still had maps she could use to find her way back to the college, but trying to figure out how to use them took a lot of her focus. The route was far less efficient than the one she usually took, but 2 extra hours wasn't the end of the world. And while Princess was still overflowing with energy from the coffee monstrosity she drank, a few nonverbal commands kept her from doing anything too disruptive. Jenna did notice how amazed Princess seemed at everything around them, gazing with wonder at everything from the skyline of the nearby city to the houses along the streets. Maybe she was on vacation? Jenna REALLY hoped she hadn't completely derailed her plans last night...
As they boarded the final bus back to the college, a young man sat next to them. Jenna could tell just from a glance how shy and nervous he was, but he seemed to relax as Princess started chattering at him. Maybe he understood her language. Jenna double checked the map to pass the time as Princess spoke to the man, her voice growing a bit softer and slower. She glanced over and saw him following Princess's fingers with his eyes, almost like... She was hypnotizing him, oh no. His body was relaxed and limp, and his eyes were half-closed and glazed over. He no longer looked nervous, at least... He was DEEP under right now, and Princess was probably all that existed for him. Jenna checked the map. They still had about half an hour before the next stop, so... Probably nothing wrong with letting this continue for a bit... He seemed much happier now, at least...
The bus reached their stop, and Jenna quickly got off, followed by Princess... And her hypnotized sub, great. She clicked her fingers in front of his face. "Hey, what stop did you want to get off at?" He leaned into Princess's shoulder and blissfully murmured, "...17th... Heading to college, Mistress..." Jenna grimaced. Great, Princess transferred control of her subs to her. At least this was his stop? As they walked towards the college, Jenna couldn't help but be very frustrated about her missing car. Why had she even wanted to be driven out to her house anyway? And now she had absolutely no idea where her car was. Hopefully it was back at the college, but given how Hypnotized Jenna tended to act, it could be basically anywhere, like at work, or at a club, or... Right there. In a random parking lot. Next to a forest. "What the heck...? Well... Hopefully I didn't leave it running all night..." She unlocked the doors, happy she'd at least remembered to lock them in the first place, and started it up. Princess and her sub happily climbed in the back, and Princess picked up a glittering crystal from her seat and began waving it hypnotically before her sub's eyes before Jenna looked back at her and she hastily stuffed it into her pocket. "...Whatever... Let's just get back to college..." She heard something rattling around in the glove compartment, but she didn’t really have time to inspect it. Hopefully nothing was broken.
Luckily Dell wasn't at the dorm, because Jenna did not want to try and explain this to her. Princess's sub, who she should probably get the name of at this point, was too attached to his hypnotist to bother going to his own dorm for now, so Jenna let him snuggle Princess while she went to plug in her phone. She still had plenty of time before her work to let it charge, so she sat down on the couch and tried to collect her thoughts now that she had a moment of downtime. She wracked her brain for anything she might remember last night. Places, events, names, anything... Everything was just a hazy, indistinct blur that made her feel fuzzy again just focusing on it. Closing her eyes, she tried to grasp something, ANYTHING that happened. A strange name suddenly came to mind... She felt oddly compelled to say it out loud. And so a vortex of fire appeared in her living room.
"WHAT IN THE- HUH?! WHAT?!" Jenna ran to get a fire extinguisher, but the fire didn't appear to be spreading at all. As she watched, terrified, a massive, shadowy figure rose from the center. It stared down at her with a predatory grin on its canine face, its eyes blazing and spiky red fur covering its entire body. As the fire faded, it spoke with a seductive, feminine growl. "You called~?" Jenna stared in terror. "I... No, I... I didn't... I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON!" The hellhound laughed cruelly. "Perhaps you'd like me to remind you~" They lunged forward and grabbed Jenna in their hot, massive paws. "Look into my eyes, mortal~" Jenna felt herself falling into the hellhound's deep, powerful eyes. They swirled around like vortexes of fire, but they made her feel so warm... She could feel the infernal warmth coating her mind, making her feel all fluffy and sleepy. "Bark for me, puppy~" Jenna obediently gave an adorable bark, enjoying the feeling of being so tiny and helpless. She was a cute little puppy, puppies didn't think, puppies just obeyed Mommy Hellhounds, puppies just looked into pretty eyes and barked!
Mommy began petting her puppy's head. "Mmm, good puppy~ Mortals are so much better when they're obedient little puppies, don't you agr-OW!" A pretty crystal hit Mommy's head, and suddenly a bright, soothing light began shining all around them, making Mommy's eyes look dim in comparison. The puppy felt herself pulled from the Hellhound's grasp. For a split second she whimpered, wanting to go back, but soon she was surrounded by soft, fluffy wings, and everything melted away. She stared into a spiraling orb of light surrounded by spinning golden wheels, thousands of eyes gazing kindly at her, and it made her feel wonderful... So much softer then the Hellhound... Soft, cleansing light washed through her body, washing away all the Hellhound's influence... A gentle feminine voice filled her mind. "Do not worry, Guardian Jenna... Everything will be okay... We are here to help you, not hinder you... Is that not right, Hellhound?" The Hellhound looked up at them, their eyes glazed over, and murmured, "Yes... You are Jenna the guardian... Not my puppy..." Jenna felt her identity reattach itself to her as she snuggled up with the blissful wings around her. "You must wake up now, Guardian Jenna... Your work is not yet done... Return to the world... Blessed with our power..." The angel lowered Jenna back onto the couch, and Jenna relaxed in soft bliss for a few minutes before everything caught up to her.
"...What... What is happening..." The Ophanim gazed kindly down at Jenna while glaring at the Hellhound with several of their eyes. "My... 'Partner' decided to place you under her spell again for some reason!" The Hellhound grinned. "Well she seemed like she was having trouble remembering what to do, I thought I'd help her~" The Ophanim directed all of her attention to the Hellhound and began yelling in a chorus of beautiful chimes and vocalizations that Jenna could not understand at all, and Hellhound responded in a cacophony of screams and growls. Jenna buried her head in her hands. What was going on? Why were mythical creatures fighting in her living room? Why were they calling her a 'Guardian'? What work were they talking about? Surely it couldn't be her job at the store? That text only came in this morning, and besides according to the clock it was only 4:28 PM so she didn- She leapt up off the couch in a panic. It was way later than she thought it was, she needed to leave NOW if she didn't want to get fired. "Sorry guys gotta go bye!" She ran out of her dorm and got into her car as fast as she could. Hopefully things would work themselves out but she did NOT have the time to worry about that now!
Had to split the story into two chapters because it ended up running so long lol
