Hi y'all! This story shares a setting with GlitchyRobo's Human Domestication Guide! I highly recommend you check out that story first!

The pair had spent a long time thinking it over. It had been three years since first contact with the Affini, and their homeworld was one of the first to fall. Fall being a strong word: Neith was a frontier planet, and had scarely been settled for ten years before the Affini had arrived. The resulting "conflict" resulted in zero deaths and two injuries, both of which were due to accident more than any form of malice. Living conditions had promptly improved under their reign: the housing raffle was done away with, each and ever human being provided their own hab unit. Agricultural work became much easier, both with Affini help and humans being allowed to implement their more efficient solutions. Neith's six hour days made many take up amateur astronomy in the free time they suddenly had access to. And of course, a sizable portion of the population had been domesticated, brought into that lovely docile state, happy and healthy. It seemed that half the people you saw in town each day were domesticated, and it was hard to say they weren't happy with it. But for Helena and Nora, it hadn't seemed like a great fit.

They'd experimented in polyamory before, and it had been fun, but... it had never been sustainable. It  had always ended up with someone's needs not being met, usually in the form of Nora not getting enough sub time. A brilliant engineer, and an outgoing personality, led her to being the default domme to any third they brought in. It just wasn't satisfying.

But that wasn't a problem with the Affini, was it? They seemed to love making humans squirm, petting them and giving them so much attention. No, the real problem Helena and Nora faced was the notion of being split up. They loved each other with all their hearts, and no amount of Xenodrugs would be able to overcome them being seperated. So they remained as they were, "Free Terrans" as some called them.

Until one of their domesticated friends let them know they could stick together. It was only a few months after that that they signed up to become Florets.

Helena's footsteps echoed down the brightly lit hallway, its walls saturated in vines and flowers. Even the smell in here was pleasant, although they'd been assured that it didn't actually contain any airborne xenodrugs.

She gripped Nora's hand tight

"You ready for this?"

"Always, pet."

Her face became that brilliant shade of crimson it so often took on. They hadn't even checked in yet and she was already being teased by her girlfriend. She spent the next portion of the walk hiding her face against Nora, until they reached the reception desk.

The Affini took up the entire window, beaming out at them with her wooden smile. Orontia, the nameplate said.

"Are you the duo of volunteers I heard about earlier? The bonded pair?"

Nora gave an affirmative "Yes", while Helena merely nodded.

"Excellent! Now, before I have you fill out some forms, I do want to ask, do you have an Owner in mind already?"

They didn't, and that was thankfully conveyed by Nora.

"Oh, thats quite alright! I'll lead you over to your Volunteer Hab after you're done filling out the paperwork, and arrange for your things to be transferred over as soon as your new owner has picked you out. Oh! And the closet is stocked with Companion dress, I think you'll find it more fitting as prospective Floret Pinnates."

She giggled, before leaving the couple to fill out the paperwork, which went by in a flash. Most of it was medical info, any xenodrugs they were already on (thank the gods for Affini HRT), and a brief personality test to make sure any incoming Owners new what they were getting, and thought themselves a good fit. Helena, personally, was looking forward to being taken care of and held, while Nora did enjoy the thought of potentially helping her owner out with more complex tasks. Before five minutes had passed, they were finished.

"One more thing!" Orontia mentioned as they began making their way to their new hab unit, for the time being. "You should put these on."

"These" were a pair of collars and cuffs, seemingly loaded. It made Helena whimper a bit just looking at them, which got her a pet from the plant woman guiding them.

"Right now theyre just loaded with your current prescriptions, and some starter sedatives. You'll feel a bit slower than usual, but nothing more. Its just to help get you on track for more powerful xenodrug treatments later in the domestication process."

She eagerly slipped them onto the pair, who'd already had the sense to present their necks and wrists.

"Gosh, whoever owns you two is going to be so lucky!"

The new hab unit was bare, but not depressingly so. Nora was paging through her tablet, playing a puzzle game, while Helena was off taking a bath. The area was Affini sized, the couch comfortable and large enough to act as a bed for the two humans. Nora could feel the drugs kicking in, just a bit. Her movements had slowed a bit, but her mind was still sharp, which she very much appreciated. They weren't set to have any visitors till tomorrow, so she set out to get their outfits ready for the process: low cut, colorful dresses that would make their collars really stand out. She blushed. She was really going to be owned, to be a Pet. She'd been brushing up on her Affini script in the days before, and she hoped it payed off in her Owner's household.

When Helena exited the shower, Nora placed her in her rightful position: on her lap.

"How does it feel to be a pet for a pet, my darling?"

Helena's response was naught but a whimper and a whine. Such a cute thing.

The first meeting ended up being their last. The chemistry they shared was perfect. Rebutia, despite being far more thorny than any Affini they'd met before in the literal sense, had a caring personality that matched up perfectly with Helena, and a practical mindset that Nora adored. She'd taken to them in turn, loving their interplay, and how her pets had a longstanding relationship before she had even entered the picture. With some quick pokes from her needles to make them particularly pliable, the duo signed their new names, ready to be taken home and properly domesticated.

From now on they would be Helena and Nora Viola, First & Second Florets Pinnate. And they couldn't be happier with their choice.
