DUI Case #: 198 - The Old Man from Out of Town
Dave and Angela (Part One)
by PastKay
“What’s the weirdest deviant you’ve ever experienced?” Dave asked.
As the two drove closer to Area 104, Angela couldn’t wait to start their case. Her partner, Dave, was a particular case, and it made him perfect for investigations. A few months ago, the two had gotten involved in another case. They’d been assigned to take a disappearance case. A group of 8 women had been reported missing. Their families reported to the police that the women had behaved strangely for the past few days.
Initially, the DUI viewed the disappearance as mundane and allowed law enforcement to investigate. But when several officers were also reported missing, that’s when the DUI stepped in to assess the situation. Angela and Dave were chosen to head into the woods, where most of the disappearances had occurred, and report what they saw.
It was not planned as a rescue mission.
Angela couldn’t remember exactly what had happened. When Response Team SEAL found her, she was naked and speaking in an unknown language. Her camera had been damaged, and when Angela was brought to a telepath, they couldn’t understand what they saw in her head. The women had been found, and just like Angela, they spoke in an unknown language.
Aside from Dave, none of the missing male officers were ever found and are considered MIA. However, several unidentified women were among the missing women that almost fit the description of the missing male officers. The disappearances stopped after that, and the victims had their memories erased and returned to their families. As for the unidentified women, they were given new identities and were released into the public.
Dave was unrecognizable.
“The handmaid’s bell,” Angela said to sidestep her actual answer.
“Why would you say that?” Dave asked. He picked up a cigarette out of a force of habit. He sighed and threw the bud out of the window. “Isn’t it just a bell that turns women into maids?”
Angela let out a chuckle. That was a common misconception about the deviant. “Not exactly. The bell causes a woman to turn into a maid. If there’s more than one woman, only one of them will turn into a maid. Of course, the woman will become subservient and will do any task that is humanly possible.”
“I see,” Dave said. “But that doesn’t scream weird if you know what I mean.”
“But that’s the thing,” Angela said. “Their personality had been replaced with an entity that calls itself Fille. This entity had three split personalities; Fille, Madam, and Mademoiselle Femme. Fille spoke French, so I never had the chance to talk with them, but she’s a character from what I’ve heard.”
“Do the women turn back to themselves?” Dave asked in his cold voice.
“They do after the ringer say that they are pleased in French.” Angela looked at Dave’s black body. She had been avoiding looking at it since the whole ride. A part of her felt guilty.
“Maybe if you say you’re pleased with me driving us to Area 104, I might get my body back,” Dave said. If he was joking, his monotone voice hid his real feelings as Angela could only see the seriousness in his smooth face.
Angela gave Dave a weak but meaningful smile. “The least they could have done was giving you a face.” The van came to a stop. They’ve arrived at Area 104. Alarms bells blared as DUI soldiers and response teams were administering mental inhibitors in the form of eye drops through the DUI employee’s eyes. Fortunately for Angela, she was highly resistant to most mind control, and Dave could never be controlled by a conventional mind controller.
Angela was about to head out the door when Dave grabbed her arm. “You never asked me about my weirdest deviant experience.”
Angela sighed. “Dave, don’t do this to yourself.”
Dave let go of Angela’s arm and slumped back to his seat. “I mean, look at me. I’m practically a machine.”
Angela leaned forward and tilted his face towards her. She could see her face through his black mirror face. Angela gave Dave’s smooth face a kiss on where his lips were supposed to be. She could feel the low hum emanating from his body.
“The DUI doesn’t view you as a deviant,” Angela said. She opened the door and headed out of the car. Angela turned around saw that Dave was still unmoving. Angela hoped she didn’t make things worse for Dave. Sometimes it was hard to read his emotion. “You’re still the same man, Dave.”
Dave didn’t answer. He got out of the car and headed to the Area 104 gate. Angela felt a sense of regret when she saw Dave going up to the response team. She wished she could tell Dave that everything would be alright.
Dave stopped and turned around to see Angela’s worried face. “Don’t worry about me,” he said. “Let’s just get this investigation over with. This is case number 198.”
As the two investigators walked up to the gate, they could see a response team member waving them in. They could see the tiredness on his face, most likely from dealing with the number of people in the courtyard. He wore a red band on his right arm showing his leadership. Angela and Dave showed their badges and ID to the superior.
“As bad as this shit show is, and it’s bad, we have the damage contained to Area 104,” the superior spoke. “Task Leader Richard Jones at your service.”
“Catch us up to speed,” Angela asked, trying to ignore the screaming orgasms.
“I’ll be frank with you guys. It’s bad. This is the worst sexual hysteria I have ever seen,” Jones said. He adjusted his collar as sweat poured down his head despite the cool weather. He led the two further inside the area before stopping at the main door. “The staff that is inside are sheltering in place. The eye drops are working fine for some and doing nothing for others.”
“When was the DUI notified that something was wrong?” Angela asked. She wished that she had worn heels today, adding personality to her boring clothes.
“About 45 minutes ago,” Jones answered. “One of the guards called a nearby Area and informed them that an employee brought a deviant inside Area 104. They described the deviant as an old man. When the caller asked for further details, the call went silent though the caller swore that they could hear hard breathing.”
“Is there a reason why we’re not inside?” Dave interrupted, causing the task leader to jolt back.
“Shit. I didn’t notice you there,” Jones said. “Is that a costume?” Contrasting the plain bouse and trousers that Angela wore, Dave’s body was covered head to toe in black armor. He had the frame of a football player but was built like a tank.
“Just answer the question.” Dave had been looking at the tents that had been set up, people grabbing at the response team for pleasure. The response team tried to navigate the chaos without getting distracted by the grabbing. However, some were giving in to the pressure.
Jones rubbed the back of his and looked down at the ground. “It’s because we had lost contact with everyone 30 minutes ago. Everyone who goes in won’t come out.”
“Won’t?” Dave tilted his head at the word. “Why?”
“I don’t know, look around ya. If you think this is bad, it’s most likely worse inside,” said Jones. His gaze had shifted towards Angela’s chest, and Dave could tell that the task leader was fighting a losing battle within himself. What’s more worrying was that neither the deviant nor their effects had yet to be contained. “But as I said, we have the situation under control.”
Stepping up close to the task leader to the point where he could see his own reflection on Dave’s face, Dave asked, “Do you know how far the nearest town is?”
Jones looked to Angela for any support, but she raised her hands in the air in a sort of “you got this” moment. He turned back to Dave and gave the lumbering investigator a long stare. Jones answered, “It’s about 5 miles or so.”
Dave was about to say something when Angela pushed herself between the two. She could see that their argument was getting them nowhere, and time was of the essence. “I think what Dave here is trying to say is that we need to get inside that building and apprehend that deviant before its effects reach the local population.”
“Fine, go knock yourselves out,” Jones said. He brushed past the two investigators and made his way to a female response member, who was doing her best to stave off the advancements of both DUI employees and the response team. She was taken aback when Jones approached her and kissed her lips, which caused her to recoil in confusion. However, her confusion was short-lived as the two took off each other’s jacket, and the female response member began to unfasten her superior’s belt.
Dave and Angela looked on in stunned disbelief as they watched more people abandoning their posts in favor of making out or self-pleasure. If they don’t stop this madness, it’ll reach the Establishment’s radar, and the DUI would face another embarrassment as the Establishment cleaned up their mess.
“I had that,” Dave said. He started to move towards the van but stopped when he noticed that Angela didn’t follow him. “We’re not going inside.”
Angela looked at him with her eyebrows furrowed. It was hard to stay mad while listening to the sex acts that were going on. It was like being in a high school prom where the drinks were spiked. “Why not? I’m still lucid, and you can’t be mind-controlled.”
“I’m not having this discussion. Everyone here is either fucking someone or being fucked. We should leave now while our heads are still.”
“Weren’t we called to investigate what happened to Area 104?” Angela hesitated. She could feel the vestiges of telepathy wrapping around her body and brain. Years of mental barriers were shaking but still holding out. Angela had taken courses if she was ever under mind control. The only time her defenses failed was that incident with Dave. “As long as we’re in control, we can knock the deviant out and stop this spread.”
“But…”
“And didn’t you say there was a town 5 miles away? What about them?” Angela said.
Now it was Dave’s turn to hesitate. He knew how the DUI reacted with unknown unknowns. They don’t know what they’re dealing with and why it’s happening. Their main course of action was usually to wait and gather information. But he did have a moral responsibility to the public. Too many lives would be affected.
This was one of those times Angela wished she could see Dave’s face. Dave just stood there like a statue. He was most likely analyzing the situation. She couldn’t tell if she convinced him or not. It was like staring at a wall.
Dave’s fist finally clinched, and he finally came back. He walked towards the building, stopping at the door. “Fine, we’ll continue the investigation and only the investigation.” Angela smiled and put her hand on the door but was stopped when Dave held the door. “But if one of us are mentally compromised, we fall back.”
“Sounds fair.”
