From Miss Might To Miss Mindless
Chapter 5

Three days after I last saw her, I was standing next to Linda and looking at a moderately sized clothing store called 'Tantric Visions' two miles from my place. I'd seen it before when I had errands to run in that part of town but I never felt the need to inside. I knew it was there for a few months, but that was about it.
If the prices were good, I might need to change that.
"It's a locally owned store," Linda told me as we went in. "You can get both brand name clothes here as well as independently made stuff."
I nodded. Offering clothing made by local designers was a pretty big plus for people like Linda. Her grandmother was a seamstress who worked at a clothing store for decades before retirement.
We walked in and I whistled when I took in the sight of the main area. It looked like some sort of trendy loft; red brick support beams, chairs near the changing rooms that looked like wicker baskets, a concrete table for the cash register that had graffiti on it and even some tables where vinyl records were displayed on racks. There were even a few big posters advertising local events. The place wasn't quite packed, but there were a lot of girls inside eagerly chatting with one another.
I gotta admit, I wasn't expecting this. I thought it was nothing more than just some cookie cutter store with cream colored walls, rack after rack with brand name clothes and a few bored staff members.
Ya got me, Tantric Visions. I might like you after all.
Linda brought me over to the cashier, a young Asian woman happily chatting with a slightly older Latina.
"Hey, Grace." Linda said to the cashier.
"Hi Linda! Things going ok?"
"Could be better, but I'm fine all in all. This is my friend Roxxy." Grace looked at me.
"Hiya! Diggin' the name." I laughed a little out of nervousness. Was I being hit on?
"Is she part of our membership program?" the cashier asked. Linda shook her head.
"Newbie." she replied.
"That's OK. We've got plenty of stuff for first timers to chose from. Take your time." We nodded and I walked around the store. There was this lime green colored sports tank top that got my attention. It had this looking glass shine to it I kinda liked. I took it with me to the changing room along with some sandals and a pair of black and silver shorts. Linda followed me and stood outside the room. I bought everything and signed up for the membership program before heading back to my apartment with Linda. I wanted to show her how I looked in my new outfit and drop the stuff off before we went to lunch.
I grinned and walked out of my bedroom, shouting 'ta-dah' when I opened the door.
"You. Look. Amazing."
"Thanks! I think I just found where I'm gonna be doing my clothes shopping from now on."
Linda's expression changed in about half a second. It was this kind of blissful smile, almost sultry.
"Just one more thing."
Before I could say anything, she took something out from behind her back and aimed it at my face. My vision was engulfed by a rainbow spiral that made me feel like I was punched in the back of the head.
"Linda, wha-" I was having trouble putting together the words.
"Shh, just let the spiral do its work." Linda told me. Her voice sounded so soothing, but I grit my teeth and tried to focus.
"Please, I'm...I'm..."
"Scared? Don't be. You'll feel like a million bucks before you know it."
I just...nodded. The light was so warm and welcoming. It was sucking out all my fears, all my worries. I sighed.
"Listen to me, Roxxy. What you've bought is the uniform of a Sleepwalker, a mind controlled slave girl of Hypnoman." Linda smiled.
"Just like me. I've conformed to his will, Roxxy. I've given in and fallen in line behind my other sister slaves and oh god does it feel good. You'll feel the exact same way. Nothing will bring you greater joy than serving Hypnoman. His evil will shall be your reason for being. You will seek to bring other girls into our sisterhood. You will wear that garb with pride and seeing our other sisters wearing them will bring you nothing but joy. Do you understand?"
I nodded and smiled. Yes. I understood perfectly. For some reason, I couldn't think of a reason to fight back. Even being Miss Might didn't seem to matter to me enough to make me resist.
"I serve Hypnoman." I told Linda. "I exist to do his will. I am a Sleepwalker." Linda laughed.
"Glad to hear it. Now, rise and shine." She turned off the device and the spiral left my vision. I blinked a few times.
"How do you feel?" she asked. I laughed back.
"Like a million bucks. How may I do-wait...is there a way to directly contact our master?"
Linda raised an eyebrow.
"We have apps to communicate with other Sleepwalkers but-"
"Please, there's something I need to tell him." Linda sighed.
"Look, whatever it is you have to say, I don't think Hypnoman has the time to-"
"I'm Miss Might." I blurted out. It felt...good telling someone that. Linda was the first person I ever confessed that to. "I can prove it too." Linda stared at me.
"No...you're not lying." she said quietly. "You couldn't lie if it meant undermining our master's goals."
"I have my costume in a safe hidden under my bed." I told her. "If that's not enough, I'm prove to him how strong I am."
I learned forward.
"Please. He needs to know that Miss Might is his to command." Linda said nothing to me, tapping her phone a few times.
"This is Sleepwalker 716, Linda Vargas. Send a message to Hypnoman immediately, top priority." She looked at me and smiled.
"We've just gotten ourselves one helluva recruit."
