Danger is My Middle Name
Chapter 4
by JAMmedOut
Alright we're back with another chapter. Let's see what happens when a vampire walks into an apartment shared by a bunch of werewolves.
Dani took a deep breath hesitating outside of her apartment’s front door. She held Victoria’s hand tightly in hers, afraid to let go. Victoria squeezed her hand, nuzzling against the larger girl’s shoulder.
“Look. So obviously I live with other werewolves…and they might not be the most receptive to a vampire walking in…” Dani mumbled her hand fumbling with the keys in the lock.
Victoria gripped her hand steadying it. “As long as I have you I’ll be fine.”
Dani took a deep breath and unlocked the door. Her hand gripped the handle slowly, turning it and opening the door. She could immediately make out the smells of all of her roommates inside, no luck that they’d be out. She slowly stepped inside dragging Victoria in behind her.
“Ugh. What is that awful smell?” Blake called out from the kitchen.
Andy opened the bedroom door they shared with Dani and peaked their head out sniffing the air. They wrinkled their nose and looked over at Dani.
“Seriously smells like something died in here. God Dani what did you get into?” Zay said from somewhere within the kitchen.
Dani could feel Victoria shrink a bit behind them and could feel the discomfort setting into her. Dani growled lightly, a low rumble in her chest. Immediately she could feel the whole atmosphere change in the apartment. Andy lowered their head, whimpering softly as they curled into the doorframe. Dani could feel small bubbles of pride and arousal from Victoria.
A sharp pinch on her hip caused Dani to stop. Immediately the tension seemed to part lightly.
Andy stepped forward slowly, fingers unclenching from the wooden doorframe. “Why don’t I take your mate into the bedroom and you can go talk to everyone else. Get Victoria settled in. She can help me cover up the window just in case.”
Dani looked over her shoulder and nodded to Victoria. She could feel the vampire’s fingers slip out from her hand fingers slowly breaking contact. It hurt to lose the sensation of her touch but she could bear it. At least for a few minutes.
Victoria turned and followed Andy back to their shared room. Dani watched the whole time, specifically watching Victoria’s ass. The short skirt she was wearing left little to the imagination. Dani liked it.
Victoria stood in the middle of the bedroom as the door clicked behind her. She could smell Dani’s smell all over the room, especially the bed. She felt herself clench in need and could feel Dani’s own arousal spike in the back of her mind. She smirked to herself excited to feel how much she turned on her mate.
The word was still so new to her and yet it felt so comforting. It was as if the word was both home and love. It was warm and comforting and left her feeling fuzzy inside. She wondered if this is what it felt like back when she was alive. The sensations were almost too much to bear alone. Thankfully she wasn’t alone anymore.
Andy walked over and stopped in front of her. Slowly sitting down on what Victoria guessed was their bed. The floor was a mess, it seemed mostly due to Dani, but Andy had a small pocket of the room that smelled like them and it was just their bed. When they sat on it, it was as if a puff of their smell came up into the air. Victoria wrinkled her nose at the smell.
“It’s still sensitive isn’t it? The heightened senses? The smells?” Andy asked crossing their arms over their chest.
“Huh? Oh. Yeah. It’s just kinda different.”
“No it’s not. Not for you. You’re used to that, you’re just not used to feeling and smelling everything she does.”
Victoria looked over at Andy. They seemed to almost be scowling at her. What was wrong with them. “Look I don’t know-”
Andy put up a hand cutting her off. Victoria felt a bit of rage pool in her. Who did this person think they were. “For what it’s worth I’m not mad at you or have a problem with you. I just don’t want you to hurt her. She deserves the best and I’ll be damned if I let you hurt her.”
Victoria was fuming. She could feel her blood start to boil in her veins. Not just her’s but Dani’s. It was as if her skin was on fire. She wanted to erupt in rage. Rip out this wolf’s throat for insulting her like this. If Dani chose her as her mate, there was a reason for it and that was because she deserved it. They both did. By insulting her mate she was insulting Dani. How dare she.
Victoria moved like lightning, her hand outstretched as it gripped Andy’s shirt by the collar pulling it. She lifted the wolf off of the bed, the button straining to hold as she pulled her up roughly. Victoria was seething, breathing heavily, pupils dilated. Her knuckles where white, red tinting her cheeks as her eyes grew bloodshot.
“I don’t know who the hell you think you are but Dani is my mate! She is mine! And I am hers! Her blood courses through my veins. More than anything she is mine for now and forever! Nobody but her gets to judge me.”
Victoria felt like her bones were going to break, skin shattering for fur. Her whole body shook as if it wasn’t her own. As if there was something inside of her threatening to break free.
“She is mine!” Victoria screamed pushing with all her might. She could feel Andy in front of her, not just in her hands but like there was a connection. Neither one broke eye contact for a moment, as if both were challenging the other.
Andy whimpered and turned their head away curling up slightly. Victoria smirked. That was more like it. She was in charge. Her and Dani. None would challenge them now or ever. It felt so good to do this. To demand what she wanted. Now to teach her a lesson.
Victoria’s free hand raised up ready to strike. Andy looked up at it, terrified, fear etched into their eyes as they trembled softly. Victoria just needed to teach this pup a lesson and then none would cross her ever.
Victoria felt a hand grip her wrist tightly holding it in place. An arm wrapped around her waist. She snarled and spun to face the person restraining her only to find Dani standing there pupils dilated, breathing heavily through her nose. She stared intently into Victoria’s eyes, not blinking, not moving.
Victoria could feel Dani pressing into her mind, urging her to calm down. But she didn’t want to. She needed to teach everyone a lesson, make sure they knew who she was.
Dani snarled and Victoria felt herself crack. Her knees gave out and she tumbled into Dani’s chest panting heavily. Her muscles hurt and screamed in pain. Her shoulders shook violently as she took heavy breaths, her heartbeat syncing with the sound of Dani’s calm steady rhythmic beat.
“Dani, you need to teach her to control herself. She has your blood in her veins meaning she can exert control over us.” Andy said softly between ragged breaths.
“I know that now. I didn’t beforehand. This is all new territory.” Dani said slowly brushing Victoria’s hair, keeping her close.
“Yeah. I get that. But she almost-”
“And I stopped her.”
“But if you hadn’t!”
Victoria didn’t like being talked over like she wasn’t there. She tried to peek her head up but felt Dani push against her. A wave of exhaustion rolled over her and she slumped further against Dani’s warm frame. It was so soft and comforting in her arms. She just needed to get lost in it. Some part of her knew that it wasn’t right but she couldn’t break out of it. She felt so weak all of a sudden. It was as if Dani was stealing her strength.
Victoria tried to fight back. She didn’t want to be treated like this. She could control herself if she tried. She could be better. She didn’t want to let Victoria down like this. All she had to do was try but no matter how hard she pulled she kept finding herself being dragged back further and further down.
“Andy, I will take care of it. You can always sleep on the couch for the night if you don’t feel comfortable.”
“You’re kicking me out of my room?” Andy said. Victoria could feel the anger in her. She wanted to smack it out of the other wolf.
“I am not kicking you out of anywhere Andy! I will control her, but if you don’t trust me then you can go elsewhere.”
“It’s not you I don’t trust. It’s this Vampire Pup that can’t go two minutes without trying to rip out someone’s throat!”
“I am not a monster!” Victoria whined and pushed off of Dani’s chest. It took all her strength and even so she stumbled to stand up on her feet. The further she moved from Dani the clearer her head felt. She felt so drained of all her strength.
Dani reached out to her and Victoria slapped her hand away weakly. She didn’t try to reach out again which Victoria was thankful for. She doubted that she would be able to refrain from diving back into Dani’s warm and inviting embrace if offered.
“I’m not a monster. I lost control. It’s as if there’s so much in my head right now. There’s so many thoughts and voices. And so much of Dani overwhelming me. It gets hard to think and know where I end and she begins.”
Andy tentatively stood up and stepped forward. Dani growled softly from deep within her chest. Andy blinked, their head shaking from side to side. They slowly approached Victoria, placing their hands on the vampire’s chest. Victoria could feel Dani’s jealousy bubble in her from across the room.
“Don’t focus on her, focus on me and my hands. Feel my pulse in them. See my pulse and focus on it.”
Victoria blinked and closed her eyes. She could feel her own heart beating in her chest. She could feel Dani’s heart across the room thudding in her ears. And there in her chest she could feel the soft thud of Andy’s pulse in their palms. She slowly opened her eyes and could almost see the pulse in Andy’s neck. It was slow, rhythmic, not like Dani’s rapid pulse. It was different and it made her hungry.
“Feels a bit better doesn’t it?”
Victoria nodded surprised. She didn’t feel the weight of Dani pressing on her. She took a deep breath and let her shoulders relax at her sides.
Andy slowly slid her hands away. “You both have to remember that you are different people. Victoria in your case that you’re a vampire. Being mated to a werewolf and drinking her blood doesn’t change that. Deep down you still have that unending hunger inside of you.”
They turned to face Dani crossing their arms over their chest. “And you, you need to control yourself. The connection is still really fresh. I could hear you yelling out there and it was feeding into Victoria’s rage which fed into yours. If you aren’t careful you’ll build yourselves up too much where you combust.”
Dani nodded and looked away embarrassed. Victoria nodded and rubbed her hands together nervously. “I’m sorry for…before…that wasn’t-”
“Save it. Just don’t do it again. And don’t hurt Dani. She’s happy with you. If you hurt her I will hunt you down and rip out your throat with my bare hands.” Andy turned and picked up an empty plastic water bottle and headed for the door closing it behind them.
Victoria looked over at Dani who was staring at the floor. She had the sense that Dani was blaming herself for everything. Victoria hated that. She was equally to blame for it all, it felt so good, even when she knew what she was doing was wrong and dangerous she didn’t stop.
“Hey. I’m sorry for what I almost did. If you hadn’t been there then I would have done something-”
“You would have done something that I wanted to do. I was so angry over how my other roommates were talking about you that I probably pushed it onto you. I can’t believe I-”
“Dani please don’t pretend that we’re not in this together. Half the blame is on me.”
“Do you think we rushed things?”
Victoria sighed. It had only been one day. Maybe Dani was right. But those sorts of things didn’t matter anymore. “That doesn’t matter. The past doesn’t matter. Only this does. Only us and what’s next.”
“How do you sound so smart all the time?”
Victoria walked over and wrapped her arms around Dani burying her face into the werewolves shoulder breathing her in. Her mouth watered and she suddenly realized how empty she felt. “I’ve got a lot of time on you.”
Dani hummed her chest vibrating. Victoria felt her underwear get soaked instantly. She could feel Dani’s pulse quicken and her body start to heat up. If she didn’t stop this soon she wouldn’t for a long while.
“Dani your roommates can smell me I’m sure. We shouldn’t do this…” Victoria whined.
“They can already smell you. Now to make them hear you.”
Victoria opened her mouth to protest but Dani shoved her back onto Dani’s bed with a thud. Victoria gasped, the air knocked out of her. Dani began to start to advance to the bed when victoria reached out with her hand and gripped the air with an invisible twist. Dani’s head snapped back, her chest pulled forward by an invisible chain. She whimpered softly.
“Now now Dani. If you want me, you’ll have to tell me with your mouth.”
Dani nodded, feeling the implication Victoria pushed out from behind the words. She slowly sank to her knees, her pupils dilating. Victoria spread her legs, her skirt parting to give a view of her drenched underwear to the hungry wolf.
Dani dove forward, her nose pressed right into Victoria’s clothed crotch. The vampire gasped and licked her lips hungrily. Both hands found their way down, tangling in the werewolf’s hair. She moaned loudly and closed her eyes giving into the pleasure.
I'm going to try to get one of these out each month but the wall I've hit is real. Hopefully I can overcome it soon.
