The days as Christmas Perkins is coming to a close. Diana & Chrissy are moving to a moment of truth as each is feeling regrets and thoughts of love.

12 Days Elf (part 4)

Diana was nervous. She knew that Chrissy was on a time limit. She was also wondering if she was in love with her. She had tried to get her to tell her about the other reality where they knew each other, but she always changed the subject. She sighed as she watched her come back from the restroom. The young woman was just beautiful. “Hey Cutie.” she grinned as she tried to be upbeat. Chrissy blushed as she always did. “I was just in the restroom silly. You act like I was gone forever.” Chrissy said. “I just am nervous because I have something to ask you.” She said. Chrissy sipped her tea, “No, I don’t want any Hawaiian Pizza. Pineapple is not a pizza topping.” Diana rolled her eyes. I already ordered your favorite, Grilled Chicken pizza, extra cheese.” Chrissy giggled. “Awww, you can be taught.” Diana rolled her eyes, “No, I wanted to know what you are doing Christmas?” Chrissy shrugged, “Hanging with Jenny during the day, waiting to turn back into a guy, I guess.” Diana took a deep breath. “Well, the company that owns the Bar is having a Christmas Formal. It is for employees and it is something I have always gone to alone, when I have gone. So, anyway, I was wondering, if you would, well, if maybe you would want to go with me to it?” she asked awkwardly.

“You know what? Why not? I mean it would be better than waiting and seeing what happens.” Diana’s eyes widened, “Really? Oh well, cool whatever.” She then acted non-chalant. Chrissy hid a smile. “Besides, Jenny bought me this pretty cool dress after I transformed. I have been wondering what it would be like to wear it.” Their pizza came and the two women spent a nice meal together. The night went on and soon they were walking through the park, enjoying the Christmas decorations. They sat on a bench near the pond and watched as people skated. “Chrissy, have you enjoyed being a woman?” Diana asked. “It might be part of the magic, but it hasn’t been bad. I do realize that guys can be really creepy. I do miss pockets in my clothes. It hasn’t been all bad.” She answered. They sat quietly for a bit. Diana then spoke, “Do you really want to change back?” Chrissy looked down and twisted her shoe in the gravel under her feet. “Honestly.” She looked up at the night sky. “I don’t know. I mean at first I wanted my old life back, my job, being the older sibling, just all the stuff I was used to being. Now, I mean, it is not so bad. Jenny actually is closer to me now. We get along better and I like that.” She looked over at Diana, “I also got to reconnect with you.” She looked down, “You never seem to say anything about your life before all this happened Chrissy.” She reached over and took Diana’s hand. “We knew each other, Diana. You were my first kiss.” she paused. “Wait. What?” Giving a nervous laugh Chrissy continued. “You were still a lesbian, Hun. No, we knew each other, we kissed, you realized you didn’t like boys and that was it.” Chrissy turns her head as she gets choked up. “I guess I never stopped liking you. I’m sorry I let those feelings lead you on.” Diana took Chrissy’s head and turned it toward her, “Cutie, don’t,” she took her thumb and wiped tears aside, “you didn’t lead me on. Getting to know you has been wonderful.” She kissed her. It was a long and soulful kiss.

The world became just the two of them. For a few minutes it was just them in their own reality of a growing love each was still not fully accepting. When the kiss broke, Chrissy was crying still. “When I change, when Glen returns, you will forget me.” Diana stared quietly. Neither spoke. They just sat in the cool with their thoughts. Diana finally broke the silence. “Well, then we will just have to have such a wonderful night that I will never forget  you Cutie.” Chrissy smiled, but inside she knew that as the last days disappeared, so would she and all the good things she had experienced. “The Old Bathrobe Man did say there might be some magic to stop me turning back.” Diana looked at her. “Well?” she asked. Chrissy stood. “He said something about a True Love’s Kiss. It has to happen before I change, but as I change. I got confused about it. Besides, true love? I am not sure I believe it exists.” Diana nodded. They left the park and Diana took Chrissy home.

Driving around she decided to go to the Bar. She entered and waved to the bartender. “The usual Sam.” she called out as she walked to the employee table. Soon a waitress sat a Mason Jar of Moonshine from the Appalachian Mountains in front of her. Diana sipped the potent liquor. True Love’s Kiss. That is some Snow White shit there for sure. Do I love Chrissy? I mean sure, I have been having fun, but do I love her enough to break reality altering magic? Her pondering was interrupted as a drunk girl bumped her further into the half circle booth. It’s the salesgirl from the magic shop. Ginger had been talking about her. In fact, where was Ginger? She was supposed to be working a shift. “Hiya Hot Girl!” The young woman slurred loudly. Pushing her back a bit, Diana spoke, “Personal space girl. So your name is what?” “Laufen.” she giggled. “Pleased to meet you.” She took a swig of the beer she was drinking. “So where’s your little girlfriend, the 12 Days Elf Girl?” Diana paused, then spoke, “Took her home. It was past her bedtime.” Laufen slapped her back as she snorted with laughter. “I like you. Still, gonna be sad that she will disappear the Twelfth Day of Christmas.” Scooting a bit away so the drunk girl’s breath was not as heavy, she thought for a moment. “What do you know about True Love’s Kiss?” Laufen gave a wicked grin then lowered her head, speaking in a hushed tone. “Real bit of nasty magic that is. My Boss most times is benevvv……benevel…..mint when changing people or altering their lives. Sometimes he is just a mean old bastard. The Old Man has had his twisted fun derailed by that enchantment lots. HA! There was this one time this guy ended up with a real nasty transformation into a whore slut. Well, you know what happened, I will tell ya what happened. You see that guy was really a nice guy that the Old Man was just messing with.” She swayed and then burped. “Old Man didn’t figure on that guy having a good friend that would kiss the nasty ho that he turned into. She kissed him. Well, kiss her, well you get it.” Diana waited for the girl to say what happened. Then she just asked. “So what happened?” Laufen looked up bleary eyed. “Oh, yeah, that gal turned him back. They are married with three kids now. Old Man was a bitch to be around.” Laufen then lay her head down and went to sleep.

Diana sat and thought. It was a night that had her drinking a bit too much and her Sister Ginger had to help her to the apartment that they now shared because of her Ginger Bread Elf curse. She never fully slept. Her mind was trying to figure out her feelings for a nineteen year old elf that she just met a few days ago.

I hope you are liking this story within the story. I have kinda made a Christmas Rom-Com I guess. I know it doesn't have the crazy sex that the others can have, but it just has felt different. Honestly, I could have been a longer story if I were a better writer that could plan and schedule the writing I do. I do wish to thank those that have stuck with me on this journey. I hope it has been a good read for you as the Elves have been released in the world. So many possibilities for Shelf Elves. Maybe I can write more over 2026 and give a proper timed story next Christmas.
