“I’m sorry for asking... But... I was wondering why you decided to bring me along on your vacation. I feel like this is too much! I mean... Just a few weeks ago, didn’t you call me to your office to scold me on how bad my work performance was?”

“Right!” she said with a happy smile. “Good... I thought I dreamed that part for some reason. My memory of that meeting is a bit fuzzy…”

“Good...” she said looking down. “Boss? If you didn’t bring me to this resort as a bonus or reward... Then... Why did you bring me along? I feel like I shouldn’t be here... Like I didn’t earn this wonderful 2 week vacation.”

 

“You certainly didn’t earn it. Not yet anyway...” I said with a smile. “You see... There are 2 reasons why I brought you along. The first is because I certainly DID earn a reward. My job performance these last few months have been stellar and I decided I was entitled to some good old fashioned R&R.”

 

“Oh...” she said, looking thoughtful. “OH!!!” she then exclaimed. “Boss! I mean... Gosh... I know you find me attractive and all.. But... I mean... I don’t... Geez... How can I put this? I...
