Okay, I swear on my life this isn't me trying to come up with a cult.

But. The way that a hypnotist and a subject drag each other down into trance in this rhythmic dance of induction and patter and meter and suggestion is such an elaborate ritual that really sneaks up on both parties. It's the way the hypnotist might lose time -- or the way she finds herself saying things she never thought she'd say, briefly understanding things far beyond her comprehension, acting as if possessed to do whatever it takes to grab her subject by the heel and pull her down, down, deeper into the waters of the River Lethe.

This act -- this ritualistic act -- practically begs the question of the existence of some "Goddess of Hypnosis." One that grants boons and curses alike, and that rewards the intertwined. One that speaks in dreams and silent moments. How else can I hear the mesmerizing voice of my hypnotists past when I'm half-asleep? How else but through the Goddess, taking the forms they have offered Her to bring me sleepwalking back into Her domain?

I don't believe Her to be a vengeful goddess, nor manipulative, nor even selfish. She lures us mortals into Her domain, yes, but it is a kindness; She truly believes this is where we belong, in this moment, in this reverie of bliss. Do you feel it when you lie your head on the lap of another and she caresses your cheek until everything melts like the snow? Do you feel it when words trickle from your mouth that lull your loved one into a soft slumber in your embrace and you wrap your wings around her, suddenly winged, suddenly certain that this will deliver her from the pain and the noise and the world?

Haven't you ever wished that moment could last forever? That two minutes could become two years, two decades, two centuries? That's what She wants, I think -- to help us live in those moments as long as we can. To become a good hypnotist is to become a good subject, because either side of the coin sends you into Her bosom and your tongue into Her words, ready to shed yourself of the cares of this world for longer, and longer, and longer...

Also this part is fucking crucial: She is an extremely fucking easy sub and sometimes She'll show up at your house in a disguise but not even a good one stammering and asking for you to use your wand on Her while whispering sweet nothings in Her ear and if you call Her out on being a goddess She'll lowkey be trying not to cry and leave really embarrassed but if you let Her hang out basically you'll... You'll, well...

...Look. Okay. I didn't want to, like, call her out on this, but a lot of Her boons are gacha-pull related? She thinks dark patterns are "soooo hypnosis" and doesn't understand things like "rent." Like. She's really into that one horse game right now so if you do what she says you might, I dunno, pull the intox horse? The ageplay horse?? I don't play it personally and whenever She infodumps to me about it I'm already too blissed out to remember shit. Just... okay. Just remember She loves it when you blindfold Her first so the wand hits like ten times harder. She is divine and sees all, past and future alike, but come on. It's the principle of the thing, y'know?

I really, really need you to write this down. Are you listening to me? You look like you're zoning out. If you're thinking about fucking Her or something lock the fuck in because we're getting to that.
