This is a noncon story. It involves dark themes involving religion and gaslighting. Read at your own risk.

This chapter includes themes of infidelity.

The chill in the air cut through fabric too thin to withstand it. The season’s change was slowly growing closer, leaves collecting in piles near the bark of their former homes. Evelyn walked home with a basket of produce and baked goods, enough for a few days’ meals.

It was likely to be the last time such fresh fruit was to be available for her to purchase, the chill bringing with it months of warm meat stews and bare trees.

As she entered her home, she felt the stale air overwhelm her. She set the basket in the kitchen, opening some windows and drawing the curtains. With a little fresh air and light, her home suddenly felt more alive.

It was not yet cold enough to justify lighting the furnace, but still the chill forced her to put an extra layer of fabric on. She grabbed an apple from the basket and held it in her hands.

It was ruby red and had a shine to its skin that captured Evelyn’s attention. A perfect specimen. She bit into it and felt the flavor of its meat fill her mouth, drawing an audible sound of satisfaction from her lips.

It was a delightful treat for a near perfect day.

Before she even realized it, all that was left of the apple was its core, the rest of the apple thoroughly picked clean of its flesh. She tossed the core into the waste basket that the house used for its compost and began unpacking the rest of her groceries.

Once done, she moved to begin some other chores. The last thing she wanted was for her husband to think she was a layabout. She cleaned and scrubbed the floors, hung the wet laundry on the line to dry, and folded the dry sheets into neat little piles.

It was as she finished her folding that her husband returned from his day tending to the farm.

“Jonah! Welcome home, dearest.”

She dashed over and tackled him in a hug. The two had been married just shy of a year, and each day felt like another blessing. He laughed and hugged her tightly in response, his muscles firm around her.

“Hello, Evelyn. I’m happy to see you too.”

The two exchanged a quick kiss and Evelyn placed one of the apples into her husband’s palm. Excitement and surprise ran across his face.

“You went shopping! Did you get anything good from Stephan’s?”

He bit into the apple with an audible crunch, his face suddenly turning to disgust. Evelyn froze. A worm wiggled free of the hole where he bit. He spat what he bit into the waste bin and chuckled, ruffling Evelyn’s hair.

“Preferably with less worms in them.” He winked.

Evelyn laughed awkwardly and nodded.

“Well, I would hope the baguette would be worm free…”

Jonah’s eyes lit up and he pulled her into a hug, lifting and spinning her around in the air.

“A baguette?! My favorite. Oh, what a treat. Thank you, Evelyn. You are so good to me.”

She giggled and smiled. Her husband’s strong arms filled her with warmth.

“I am your wife! Anything that makes you this happy is worth it.”

He set her down on the ground with a proud smile and nodded.

“Be that as it may, it would be shameful to not express my appreciation for you. Oh! I have good news!”

Evelyn looked up at her husband, eager anticipation in her voice.

“What is it? Tell me!”

He pulled a small leather sack of coin from his pocket and set it on the table with an audible jingle. Evelyn could see gold peeking from the top of the sack.

“I sold one of the cows. A mute woman from a nearby monastery stopped by the farm, handed me this sack of coin, and pointed at one of our smallest heifers. I thought it would be impossible to sell her, the poor thing, but God was on our side this day.”

Evelyn bounced with excitement and pride.

“Oh what a relief, Jonah. I wonder what she wanted the small girl for? Surely she was not worth keeping for breeding?”

Jonah simply shrugged and beamed.

“What the nun does with that cow is none of my concern! This sack of coin could buy us food for the whole winter. We must go celebrate, Evelyn. Would you like to drink some ale and break bread at the tavern?”

Evelyn’s eyes sparkled. It had been a long while since they had made it to the tavern, and the thought of their warm cheese and bread made her drool.

“Jonah, you know my answer to that question. Let’s go! Before all the good seats get filled.”

. . .

The tavern was busy when they arrived but there was still room aplenty for them to find a table and get comfortable. Upon arrival, Jonah immediately dashed to the bar and ordered ale and food for them to eat.

Soon after he returned, a beautiful woman dashed over with a tray full of tankards. The ale sloshed ever so slightly over their edges with the briskness of her movements. For the slightest moment as the woman placed their drinks on the table, Evelyn could have sworn she saw a tail flitting behind her.

She left a subtle sweet scent in the air as she left and walked to the next table to deliver more drinks.

Jonah caught her staring and gently touched her hand, bringing her out of her thoughts.

“She’s new! Jason must have needed a little extra help. Seems to be doing a great job. He told me that she has lost all her memories and to go easy on her. Seems his cold heart has been warmed a bit.”

“Lost her memories…”

Evelyn’s heart hurt at that, how terrible it must be to have no memory.

“Have you noticed anything strange about her?”

Jonah turned his head to look at her and clicked his tongue.

“Not really, no. She doesn’t speak much, that’s about it.”

Evelyn’s eyes lingered on the woman for a moment longer, before shrugging and moving on from the topic. She grabbed her tankard and looked into her husband’s eyes with all the love a wife should have for her husband.

“Cheers! Congratulations, my love!”

The tavern erupted into a series of cheers and claps, none of them knowing what was being celebrated but all too drunk to care.

“Thank you, Evelyn.”

They clinked their cups together and took a hearty sip in unison.

Idle chatter kept them busy, talking to each other and to the other patrons. When their food arrived, a veritable platter of cheese, bread, and meat, they did not hesitate to dig in.

The ale flowed freely, new cups replacing their empty ones like clockwork. It was a feast that Evelyn was incredibly grateful for.

When they had eaten their fill and their plates had been cleared, they sang and danced with the rest of the patrons as if they had been friends their whole lives.

Hours passed and when Jonah reached the bottom of another tankard, he looked to his wife and asked her to get some more. His words slurred ever so slightly at the edges.

“One more,” he begged. “We can close up and go home after, I swear it. Then, I can undress you and—”

She covered his mouth with her hands, blushed, and laughed.

“With talk like that, are you sure you haven’t had enough already?”

He smiled sheepishly kissed her hands.

“Alright, I’ll be back. Behave yourself, Jonah.”

She stood and ruffled his hair. The world sloshed from side to side as she made her way to the bar. She had a fair share of ale herself, and her tolerance was significantly lower than Jonah’s.

Evelyn had almost collided with multiple other patrons on her way, but she made it to the bar nonetheless intact. There was nobody at the bar when she arrived and so Evelyn leaned against it for support and watched the room.

The collective energy was, on the surface, a positive one. Things were good in their town, business was booming and people were happy. Mostly.

Underneath the loud and drunk exterior, cracks could be seen. A patron or two staring into nothing as they nursed a tankard, their eyes puffy from tears. There was an unspoken fear among the whole town and the booze did well to obscure it.

There were wives and daughters missing. Loved ones who had vanished in the past few weeks and not been seen since. It gave Evelyn pause as she considered having children with Jonah.

Her train of thought was interrupted by a gentle touch on her arm. When she turned to see who was asking for her attention her mind stopped altogether, caught in the net that was the new girl’s eyes.

They were almost otherworldly beautiful, glowing in ember like the furnace after a cold night. The rest of the world in her periphery grew dim and quiet, the woman before her becoming her world.

She had come to the bar for a reason, to ask for something, but she could not recall what it was. Evelyn concluded that she had definitely had too much to drink if she couldn’t retain such a recent memory.

Still, the eyes before her were easy to stare into. They sparked and burned in a way that Evelyn could feel in her mind, her thoughts turning to flame. Her mouth hung open ever so slightly and her eyes glazed over, an empty expression devoid of intelligence.

She heard a voice, its words echoing in her mind.

‘I can grant you anything your heart desires. All I ask is for something in return. Do you accept?’

Evelyn wanted to nod but her body did not respond, frozen in place and unable to look away from the woman’s eyes. Fear began to grow inside of her.

‘What do you desire? Name it. Anything that would make you happy. Can you even remember?’

Evelyn could not. She had desires and wants, hopes and dreams, but could think of nothing. She tried to swim to the surface of her thoughts, desperately struggling to escape the darkness and flame.

She knew something was wrong but could not run, no matter how hard she tried.

‘You do not recall your desires, so let me help. I have your best interests at heart. Trust me. I can help you remember. Would you like to know what you desire?’

Need ran down Evelyn’s spine. A warmth flooded her body and a pang struck deep in her cunt. She could have anything she desired, anything at all. The temptation twisted her inside as she desperately searched for something to ask for.

She let out a quiet noise of frustration, barely audible among the cacophony of the tavern. The woman behind the bar’s lips turned into a slight smile. Evelyn needed her help, she wanted to remember her desires.

The woman reached out gripped Evelyn’s chin in her claws, her thumb tracing Evelyn’s parted lips. Evelyn was a posable doll in her clutches, and with the slightest amount of effort, she forced Evelyn to nod.

It felt wrong and deliciously sinful.

‘You desire me, do you not?’

Her thoughts shifted and changed, the very fabric of her life being rewritten with the simple words. It was far simpler to just agree with what the woman was telling her.

With no further coercion required, Evelyn nodded in response.

‘Good girl.’

Evelyn’s body thrummed with pleasure. She felt a deep fulfillment at the praise. It was a kind of spiritual enlightenment, as if God herself were before her.

“What is your name?”

The woman’s voice was like silk, smooth with a seductive fry at the tail. It made her knees weak and her heart skip a beat. Like a puppet whose strings were being tugged, she couldn’t help but answer.

Evelyn…”

Her voice was weak and small, but dripped with lust. There was an airy quality to her words that indicated just how far away her thoughts truly were.

A pretty name for a pretty thing, do you not agree?”

Evelyn reeled at being called such a thing. It hit even harder coming from her, the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. She realized then how much she missed the electric energy of casual flirtation.

She did not fancy women at all, not really. She could appreciate a woman’s beauty just as well as any man could but her tastes leaned far more traditional. Her husband was burly and rough around the edges, and that was just what she liked.

Looking into the woman’s eyes, though, stirred something inside her that had previously been dormant. Visions of their lips together, tongues intertwined, and flesh on gentle flesh overwhelmed her mind.

Her fingers in Evelyn’s cunt. Her sat on Evelyn’s face. Endless vulgar thoughts that would make a nun blush, each more depraved than the last.

The fabricated images came with genuine sensations. Dozens of simulated orgasms hit her body all at once, waves of pleasure crashing through her senses. Were the woman not holding her up she would have collapsed onto the bar in her carnal convulsions.

Evelyn started to moan but was interrupted by a single command that came from the inside of her own head.

‘Quiet.’

Instead of a moan came a whimper, the unending pleasure causing her eyelids to flutter and drenching her thighs. Her mind and memories shattered under the overwhelming pressure of it all.

‘Give in.’

Her voice quivered weakly as she tried to finally answer the question she had been asked, though she barely remembered what the question even was. All she knew was that she would do anything the woman asked of her.

She had to agree with her.

“Yes, Mistress.”

The visions ceased with her submission and so too did the endless waves of pleasure. She was left empty and devoid of thought, her will crushed into dust.

She felt a tug in her gut, a feeling that she had forgotten something. The sensation faded the moment her Owner extended a hand, offering it to Evelyn.

“You came here with someone, no? I offer you a choice. Take my hand, join me, and give in to your true desire, or go back to whoever it was you arrived with. This will be my only offer. There are no second chances.”

The decision-making part of her brain was no longer functional; it had dripped down her legs as she came. Desire was all that was left and she wanted nothing more than to prove to the woman behind the bar just how deep it flowed.

Evelyn’s trembling hand linked with the woman’s without hesitation.

She led Evelyn out the back door, Evelyn’s feet shuffling on the floor along the way. She barely had enough strength in her legs to stay standing and it was by her Owner’s grace that she did not fall.

“My name is Leora, though I do not think you will be needing it tonight.”

. . .

Evelyn had woken up the morning after to her neck throbbing uncomfortably. Groggy from sleep, she ran a finger along the skin where the pain was and found two holes in her flesh. They were scabbed over, but were still tender.

Leora was… feral. A beast in the sheets that Evelyn had never experienced before. They had fucked the evening away and eventually fell asleep in each other’s arms. The primal pleasure they shared was incredible, and Evelyn was already aching for more.

When she opened her eyes, Leora was gone. She was alone in a room that was foreign to her, only able to place it when she stumbled out into the sunlit alley behind the tavern. The light of the sun made her head ache, and she hurried to her home as fast as she could.

She darted inside her home and drew the curtains as fast as she could. With the light blocked out, she felt like she could finally breathe.

“Evelyn? Is that you?”

The deep voice of her husband came from the bedroom. She could tell he was upset and Evelyn silently cursed herself for forgetting him at the tavern.

“Jonah. Yes, I uh - I am sorry I was out all night.”

He walked out of the room, moved toward her with arms extended, and hugged her tightly. She did not return the hug, struggling awkwardly against his bare chest.

“I - With the disappearances, I feared the worst. I was so worried about you.”

Evelyn recalled the missing posters hung up around town, all of them women her age. She gently pat Jonah’s back, indicating she wanted to be released from the hug. He let go and looked into her eyes.

He had bags under his eyes and must have been up all night waiting for her. She knew she should feel bad but after her night with Leora, she felt nothing. He could not know the truth, she realized, and so she lied to her husband.

“I’m sorry for worrying you. I’m fine, really. I just - bumped into a friend and she wanted to show me her new quilt, so I went to her house. We had tea and decided since it was so late, I would just spend the night.”

Jonah frowned and let go of her.

“You left me at the tavern alone. Your husband. It’s so unlike you, Ev.”

Evelyn turned away from him and sat on their living room chair. She could not look him in the eyes.

“I know. I’m sorry. Truly. You know I don’t make the best decisions with ale in me. Forgive me, Jonah.”

Jonah clicked his tongue and sighed. After a moment’s consideration, he nodded quietly and moved to pet her head. She pulled away from his touch instinctively.

“Why do you not want my touch? What’s got into you?”

His voice made her head throb. She wanted to snap and growl at him for questioning her. Her instincts screamed at her to act.

‘Tear him apart.’

She shook her head clear and let out a deep sigh, looking up at him as he stood before her.

“I’m just tired, Jonah. Anna’s spare bed was about as comfortable as a stone altar. I just need a little space and some rest.”

He let out a frustrated sigh and turned to the door, throwing on a shirt and his boots.

“Fine. There is work to be done on the farm anyway. Maybe you will be willing to spend time with your husband later. Goodbye, Evelyn.”

He was gone before she could even respond, the door slamming shut behind him.

Jonah was not usually one for such strong reactions, he was a gentle man. She could tell he was really upset this time, though, and hoped that he would forgive her soon. It was just a small mistake and he would realize that eventually. He had to.

After a few moments of quiet and solitude, she decided that a warm bath would do well for her aching joints. It was a lengthy process, warming up water and adding it to the tub, but it was well worth it when she climbed in and felt the water soothe all her muscles.

She let out a deep exhale as she shifted in the tub, water rippling around her bare body. Her body’s aches calmed with the heat but her head still throbbed. The pain only lessened when her thoughts drifted to Leora.

She thought of Leora’s soft skin and the beauty of her eyes. She recalled how Leora’s fingers felt inside of her and the endless bliss she felt at every touch.

Evelyn’s hand drifted down between her legs, her fingers stroking her tender flesh slowly. It was her first time exploring her own body like this. She had never even considered it before. It was sinful to touch yourself, that’s what Church taught her.

No, the only time she found sexual pleasure was after she and Jonah married. The times they had sex were rare and filled with disappointment. He always seemed to finish right as she started to feel good.

Ordinarily, she was happy to please her husband, but thinking on her night with Leora changed that. Leora was devoted not to her own pleasure but to Evelyn’s.

Evelyn bit her lip as she thought of the countless orgasms she had experienced the night prior, pleasure she previously could not imagine. A warm liquid flowed from her lip, down her chin, and dripped onto her breasts.

Blood.

The jarring sight brought her out of her reverie, feeling a sharp pain in her lower lip. She gently touched the wound in her lip with a finger and ran it along her teeth.

She pricked her finger on fangs that had not been there the day before. She recalled the wounds on her neck and wondered if Leora had fangs too.

With her aversion to the light this morning, her violent impulses towards Jonah, and her fangs, all signs pointed toward Evelyn undergoing a kind of physical change.

She questioned if she was finally growing to maturity and becoming a woman, though the changes did seem unusual. She did not recall her mother, or any other woman she knew for that matter, growing fangs sharp enough to draw blood.

In the end, she shrugged it off as a strange and unique part of womanhood, but Evelyn could not deny that her blood tasted sweet.

. . .

The days that followed were a blur, each passing day growing more difficult for Evelyn. The ache in her skull never ceased and her conversations with Jonah were tense and brief.

He was just so grating. The sound of his voice felt like nails on a chalkboard to Evelyn. She could tell he was hurt by her distance but she could not bring herself to care.

All she wanted was Leora. Each night she would sit in darkest corner of the tavern, watching Leora work the tables. From the darkness of the alley, she saw her take women home every night.

Each woman that entered Leora’s room left it hours later with a blank expression and the light missing from their eyes. Leora was clearly dangerous, but the danger only made Evelyn wetter.

She knocked on the door night after night, begging for Leora to let her in. She would walk home in the dark, her pleas ignored.

Jonah slept in the guest bed alone, which suited Evelyn just fine. All the more privacy to touch herself to thoughts of Leora.

Her days were drowsy at best. It was as if her internal clock of when to sleep and when to wake had flipped on its axis.

She had tried to sleep the days away but between Jonah and the light shining through the windows, sleep did not arrive. She attempted to block out the light as much as she could with the curtains but it was not enough, the light that filtered in making Evelyn’s head throb.

Her only respite was when the sun set and the moon rose, the night filling her with vigor.

It was one of those nights when Evelyn’s life began to crumble. The edges of her mind had frayed due to the string of restless days, and against her better judgement, she found herself in the alley with a woman.

Evelyn did not even know her name, and yet, she was pressing the other woman into the wall. Their lips locked together, hands exploring each other’s bodies. It was so unlike her to act this way and it all felt so sinful.

It felt especially unholy when her new fangs sunk into the nameless woman’s neck. Her body moved on instinct, acting on a need she did not know she had.

A need for blood.

A primal hunger had been growing ever since that night with Leora and her body decided that it should be sated. It was as if a hand was pulling her strings, forcing her to act on impulse.

And so, she drank. She greedily drained the woman until the hunger fully dissipated. She fed until the strings were released and her body was her own again.

The reality of what she had done dawned on her in the post-meal euphoria, pulling away from the woman in horror. She was barely able to stay standing, Evelyn’s efforts leaving her weak and limp.

Dark rivulets of blood trickled down the woman’s neck from the wounds Evelyn left behind. Evelyn licked the blood off her lips and shivered with both pleasure and disgust. Waves of energy flowed through her body as it began to process her meal.

Her bones cracked and her muscles tightened. It was painful and scary, Evelyn looking down at herself with panic in her gut. Changes set in motion by her indulgence had begun, and Evelyn was in no position to stop them.

The darkness of the alley grew brighter before her eyes. It was almost like her eyes were adjusting to the depths of the dark in ways they could not have done before, unlocking new levels of ability.

After moments that felt like minutes, the pain ceased. Fatigue melted from her body and muscles and a newfound surge of strength filled her limbs in the gaps left behind.

She felt incredible and the sensation made her wet.

Yet there was this deep-seated fear and uncertainty that remained. She knew these changes were not normal, and nor was waking up to a woman bleeding from her neck.

She needed Leora. She felt like Leora would understand her predicament, maybe she could help with her changes. Plus, in a much more lustful urge, the ache in her cunt demanded attention that only Leora could provide.

Two birds with a single stone’s throw.

Evelyn lifted the sleeping limp woman over her shoulder and found a warm place to set her down. Somewhere with enough foot traffic that someone would come along and find her, eventually.

She knew she should feel guilt for what she had done to the poor woman, but instead she felt strangely numb.

All thoughts of the woman left her completely once she arrived at Leora’s door.

Evelyn stood outside the door and contemplated walking away, she had tried this before and had been ignored. The rejection hurt, especially when she did not understand the reason for it.

She did not think she could handle another night of being ignored.

With a deep sigh and a clench of her fist she knocked on the door. When no response came, she started scratching at the wood, pleading to be let in. When the door remained shut, she started to cry.

It was a ridiculous overreaction, but her fear and need were steering her body. A swirl of negative thoughts filled her mind, whispers of how Leora hated her and how she was a nuisance playing over and over.

She was about to turn around and leave when she heard the lock on the door click.

It opened just a crack and through it Evelyn could see Leora’s beautiful eyes. Seeing the flames in her eyes caused every worry and fear to fade away.

Evelyn finally felt the light of her Goddess grace her once again.

“May I enter, Leora? I do not mean to trouble you so late but… it’s been a week since we last spoke and I… I need you.”

Evelyn waited patiently, unsure whether or not Leora would allow her in. Either way, Evelyn was satisfied just being able to stare into Leora’s eyes again.

Her heart practically leapt out her throat with glee when Leora opened the door for her to enter.

She was blessed.

. . .

Evelyn stumbled into her home far past noon. The midday sun tore through her retinas and exposed skin felt like it was about to catch flame, making the walk home feel like near torture.

The torturous pain did not cease when she had the safety of the roof above her, for Jonah was there waiting for her.

Evelyn greeted him not out of joy to see her husband but instead out of obligation.

“Jonah.”

Jonah’s face flashed with pain and anger at the cold greeting.

“Hello, Ev. Where have you been? Are you… taller?”

Evelyn glared at him for daring to question her.

“Out. I was out.”

“Clearly.” He pressed his fingers to the bridge of his nose and sighed. “What were you doing? Who were you with?”

Her eyes turned dark, filling with anger.

“You do not get to interrogate me, Jonah.”

He scoffed and shook his head. “Yes, I do. I am your husband, did you forget that?”

Obviously she had not forgotten. She remembered their wedding day and their vows, but little else came to mind. She searched for memories of their life before and after their marriage but found only hunger in their place.

“Stop lying, Evelyn. I saw you enter that tavern wench’s room. Not only have you been unfaithful, tainting the sanctity of marriage, you did it with a woman? Is that what I am to believe? Please tell me I’m wrong, Ev.”

Evelyn growled and bared her new fangs, an instinctive reaction she did not control. Jonah flinched.

“You followed me? To answer your question; Yes, I have found love in a woman. You ask me not to lie yet you do not want the truth… You disgust me, Jonah.”

Jonah finally retaliated, his tone and volume matching Evelyn’s. He stepped forward toward Evelyn, his muscular frame imposing and intimidating.

“I disgust you? Really? Evelyn, what you are doing is not condoned by the Church nor the Bible. I thought you knew better. A woman laying with a woman is a sin. A woman being unfaithful toward her husband is a sin. Your place is at my heel, obedient as a wife should be.”

The words infuriated her, yet she held her tongue. Her restraint did not stop her nostrils from flaring, however, the air around her crackling with energy. Jonah reached a hand out to touch her cheek but she pushed his hand away.

“You should be ashamed. You are a disgrace, Evelyn. It is by the grace of God that you may still yet be saved.”

He paused to calm himself and let out a deep sigh. When he spoke again, his tone of voice had calmed and the volume had lowered significantly.

“Come with me to Church. Father Grant already knows and is willing to absolve you of your sin.”

She felt a guilt deep in her gut. A pang for her husband that wanted her to follow him, to forget Leora and return to her life as Jonah’s wife. A familiar feeling of subservience to her man called to her and echoed around in her skull.

“I know not how you came to be possessed by the devil, Evelyn, but we can fix it. We can help you. You do not love that wench, it is only evil temptation that you need to resist. She is nothing compared to me and the Lord.”

His words stirred more vicious rebellion inside her. Her love for Leora urged her to fight, to defend her Goddess. The fury she felt overwrote the guilt that had been building in her gut and burst out all at once, acting before she could even think.

She moved with inhuman speed and gripped his throat in her claws, tightening around his pitiful flesh.

“I care not what you, or Grant, or God thinks. Any love I felt for you has dissipated with your pathetic accusations and judgements. You cannot judge me.”

She laughed a deep laugh, her fangs glinting in the light. Her eyes danced around manically, their small snake-like pupils gazing deep into Jonah’s psyche.

“I am beyond you now, Jonah. She showed me what I could be — how I could feel. Mm. I wish I could show you the depths of my Goddess’ pleasure, to enlighten you as to how insignificant you are in comparison.

But you are unworthy.”

She lifted him off the ground with just the hand around his throat and grinned.

“As strong and intimidating as you think you are, I assure you that you are nothing compared to Her. After Her blessings, I do not even think you could best me.”

She released her grip on him, dropping him to the floor in a heap.

“Consider the fact that you are alive a miracle, and leave. Never question me again.”

He scrambled to his feet and opened his mouth to speak, before promptly shutting it and walking out the house with his tail between his legs.

Evelyn smirked and dusted off her clothes. She felt strong, strong enough that nothing could stand in her way. She inspected her new claws, each extending from her finger by an inch and razor sharp.

She was unstoppable, far superior to an ordinary woman. She was her Goddess’ chosen.

Evelyn would do anything to make Leora proud.

. . .

After Jonah left, she had gone to sleep. Her new body was taking a toll on her, quickly tiring her out to just perform basic tasks. When it came to feats of strength, like she had performed earlier in the day, her energy diminished rapidly.

On top of it all, she was already feeling the pull for more blood.

So she had rested, reserving her strength for the night that awaited her.

It was a knock on her door that stirred her from her slumber. Through groggy eyes she noticed it was the tail end of sunset — just about time for her to hunt.

As she approached the door, an overwhelming sense of pressure came upon her. It felt like a sixth sense, as if she had unlocked a new way to interact with the world.

Every fiber in her body was fighting her, urging her to leave the door closed.

Against her better judgement, Evelyn answered the call.

Behind it was a tall woman, the tallest Evelyn had ever seen, dressed in a striking nun’s habit of black, white, and gold. Her eyes held a matching gold aura and had serpentine pupils buried within.

The woman was beautiful and familiar somehow, she was sure they had never met. Evelyn blinked and for the briefest moment saw a pair of dark wings unfurling behind the strange nun.

“Hello, Evelyn.”

The familiar voice came from behind the stranger, and the origin stepped out into the doorway. She promptly forgot all about the other woman, her attention focused on her one and only purpose.

“Leora. You - You came. I apologize, my house is a mess. I —”

Her words were cut off by Leora pushing her inside, pinning her to the nearby wall.

“Silence.”

She pulled roughly on Evelyn’s hair and brought her into a kiss. It sent sparks of pleasure through her mind, halting any protest and thoughts she might have had.

The other woman leaned down under the door frame and entered the house, almost hauntingly graceful in her motions. She spoke and her voice reverberated inside Evelyn’s head.

“This is her? The thrall whose soul you have sampled? Her transformation has begun.”

Leora broke the kiss, leaving Evelyn’s cheeks flushed and her lips slightly parted. She tugged Evelyn’s hair to expose her neck and bit down on the flesh hard enough to draw blood. The action made Evelyn suck in air, the sharp pain surprising her.

“Mn. Leora. It hurts.”

Leora then pulled away slightly, licking at the dark red liquid that welled in the wound.

“I like her, Mother Superior. Can I keep her?”

Evelyn quickly realized that the conversation did not include her; the two women were speaking amongst themselves and they were talking about her as if she was some kind of pet.

It was degrading and it turned her on.

“I should have you kill her, to teach you a lesson on being careful with your powers. You cannot drain part of a human’s soul without altering the very shape of it. She has a blood-lust now that will be with her for the rest of her extended life.

However, we could use a new Sister in the Abbey to replace you. I will allow it, Leora, but you have to break her. Show her what it means to be truly devoted.”

Leora grinned maniacally, her eyes practically sparking with excitement.

Something about Leora’s energy felt different to Evelyn. Leora was giving off a manic aura that instilled fear deep in Evelyn’s gut. She was firm but gentle in their prior interactions, but now, she was sharp and deadly.

Leora dragged her claws along Evelyn’s belly, slicing through her clothes and marking her flesh. She felt something wrap around her thigh and gently stroke her cunt but could not discern what it was. That was until she saw a tail extending from Leora’s lower back, its surface black with accents of deep red.

Her heart began to pound in her chest, begging her to run.

“Focus on your lust, slut.”

Leora’s voice echoed inside Evelyn’s mind distractingly. Evelyn tried to fight, to push Leora away, but her Goddess’ voice was just so delicious. It wormed its way into her deepest thoughts and before she could even process the words, she was panting and dripping with lust.

“I am focused, my Goddess.”

The other woman laughed, sitting on one of the living room chairs and watching with eager eyes. Evelyn wondered why Leora had called her ‘Mother Superior’ earlier. It was an unusual title and she did not think Leora the kind of woman to serve another.

“She thinks you a Goddess, does she? Amusing.”

Leora giggled and gripped Evelyn’s waist with her claws, her hand wrapping around Evelyn’s slender figure with ease. It was an action that made her feel thoroughly owned.

“I thought you would find that enjoyable, Mistress. I certainly do not mind the title.”

Evelyn’s eyes locked with Leora’s, the flame-lit rings in Leora’s eyes shutting off her mind. Leora’s second hand released her hair and swiftly moved to lift Evelyn’s dress. Claws dragged along her bare thighs until they found their target, Leora’s hand slipping past the waistband of her underwear with ease.

Leora spread her folds and gently stroked her sensitive flesh, Evelyn instinctively closing her legs in response. Leora’s eyes flashed with anger.

“You are Mine and you do not get to restrict my access to your flesh.”

The claws around her waist dug in deep, threatening harm.

“Understand the severity of the situation, Evelyn. I do not wish to kill you, you are of no use to me dead. So, spread your legs.”

Evelyn obeyed.

She spread her legs and whimpered like a wounded dog. It had only been a few hours since feeling strong enough to conquer any man, yet she paled in comparison to Leora and the other woman.

Their strength was on a scale far beyond Evelyn’s.

“Good girl. I suppose I do not have to worry about keeping your virginity, that will make things easier.”

As a reward for her obedience, Leora filled her mind with those sinful visions of sex and pleasure, the ones that had weakened her will when they first met. This time however, Leora’s fingers entered her wet cunt at the same time.

Climax arrived quickly, her body convulsing against Leora’s within scant few moments.

“Do not fight. You want this, remember?”

Evelyn tried to verify that statement against her memories, but each time she managed to gather her thoughts, Leora’s fingers thrusted inside her again. Each thrust punctuated by another vision, until another orgasm obliterated her attempt altogether. She was left with nothing but Leora’s statement, and so decided that it must be true.

She did want this. She needed it, actually, more than anything.

Her tongue fell out of her mouth as she panted, the pleasure simply becoming too much to handle.

“Good girl. Stupid sinning sluts like you do not need thoughts.”

Evelyn’s eyes glazed over, her conscious mind beginning to fracture under the pressure.

“Answer me honestly, Evelyn. Are you religious?”

Evelyn looked for an answer and her unconscious mind offered one, her voice monotonous and airy.

“Yes. I have been to Church all my life.”

Leora’s fingers thrusted again.

“Wrong. You have never been to Church. You are a sinner who did not find faith.”

The statement felt wrong, foreign, but her mind was in no position to resist the alteration. Leora’s words became her truth.

“Before we met, were you happy in your life with your husband? Was he good to you?”

Evelyn shivered and felt a tear run down her cheek.

Yes. We were happy. We wanted to have children together.”

Leora grinned, another thrust.

“Wrong. He hurt you, physically and emotionally. He was abusive. I found you in the bar after he hurt you.”

Evelyn felt another new memory overwriting her old ones. Flashes of Jonah’s anger and bruises on her body, all of it feeling vividly real.

“You are desperate for somewhere safe, somewhere to belong. You want to feel loved and cared for without judgement or pain. You are seeking worship and redemption.”

Evelyn nodded, the words resonating deep in her soul.

Another thrust in her cunt rewarded her submission.

“We can save you. We can offer you salvation and purity. You can join us in delicious devotion. Become an eager ear to the teachings of Sacred Night.”

Evelyn had heard of Sacred Night before. It was a secretive convent not far from the town. The nuns who lived there were rarely seen outside of the convent, and when they were, they were always silent.

She remembered seeing a pair of them walking through the town a while ago, one chained to the other via a collar. Suddenly, it clicked where she recognized the other woman from; she was the one holding the chain.

The realization stirred fear in Evelyn. If she were to join the convent, was that how she would be treated? She would be no better than a dog on a leash.

“Is that so terrible? You would have food, a roof over your head, and be surrounded by beautiful women. You would never have to have a thought ever again, and need only think of devotion to your Work. Best of all, you could be my dog. Chained to me.”

Evelyn could see the appeal. Leora was incredible and to be chained to her would be a privilege, but she did not know if it was worth all she would sacrifice.

There was also a rational part of her brain desperately trying to gather her thoughts, desperate for her to realize that she should not want to be chained at all. It was as if a little version of her was trying to pick up the pieces of her mind, before another thrust made her scatter them to the floor.

Even still, the little voice started to win.

“S-stop. Please. I need to think. I can’t think. I don’t want to join a convent. I don’t want to be chained.”

She felt an energy press into her thoughts, foreign and dark but with hints of bliss. It reminded her of Leora’s aura and the comforting pleasure she provided.

“I cannot force you to submit… but I can twist the odds in my favor.”

Leora bit her lip with one of her fangs, letting blood well in the wound. Evelyn felt a pang of need at the sight. Leora’s tongue snaked out of her mouth to capture some of the flowing dark liquid, and then kissed Evelyn.

Leora’s tongue found no resistance, entering Evelyn’s mouth and swirling within. Leora’s tainted blood filled Evelyn’s mouth, and she swallowed it hungrily.

The effect of Leora’s blood on Evelyn was immediately noticeable. She felt waves of pleasure flow over her body that came with a pleasant tingle in her muscles. Her back arched into Leora’s fingers, the hand wrapped around her waist feeling like pure pleasure.

Evelyn moaned into the kiss, her head beginning to swim as if she had too much ale. The blood dulled all of her negative emotions and senses, pulling her focus to the pleasure. It felt good enough that she couldn’t help but giggle into the kiss, her panicked thoughts quietened by the tingling sensations Leora was providing.

Leora broke the kiss, her flame-lit eyes gazing deep into Evelyn’s. Their tongues were briefly linked by a strand of blood and saliva and their lips painted with a deep rouge of Leora’s blood. Evelyn’s eyes hooded as she panted like a dog, her breath producing steam with each exhale in the cold room.

Evelyn knew that she had lost, there was no more fighting. She ground her hips into Leora’s fingers and felt waves of pleasure and giggles reward her.

She felt the hand on her cunt pull away, leaving her cold and desperate for her touch.

“Mm-more. Please. I want your fingers. I want your tongue. Goddess, please…”

Leora laughed and tightened her grip on Evelyn’s waist, claws digging deep enough to draw blood. The sharp pain almost brought her to another climax.

“How quickly you crumble with my blood on your tongue. What would you do for more? What will you sacrifice?”

Evelyn’s empty head tried to form a thought but failed. She tried to find an answer that would satisfy her Goddess, desperate to please her. If she was able to please Leora, then maybe her hand would return to her cunt.

Eventually, she found an answer and she knew that Leora would be satisfied.

“Anything, I’ll do anything. I will sacrifice anything for more of you. More of your blood. Fuck, please.”

Leora’s eyes flared up with glee.

Anything? That is a large commitment, Evelyn. Are you sure?”

Evelyn nodded eagerly. She was sure.

“Then repeat after me: I vow to do anything for my Sister Superiors. I will sacrifice my life for an eternity of servitude at their feet.”

Evelyn repeated it without hesitation.

“I… vow to do anything for my Sister Superiors.”

Her voice quivered with lust and her eyes blank and glassy.

“I will sacrifice my life for an eternity of servitude at their feet.”

She felt a shackle capture her mind, non-corporeal chains tethering her soul to Leora’s hands.

Good girl.”

The praise hit her cunt like an arrow, and Leora’s fingers followed shortly after. She came near instantly, unable to hold herself back any longer. Leora’s teeth found her left ear and bit down.

Evelyn moaned like a whore, deep and genuine with no inhibitions to restrain her. Orgasms hit her body over and over, the interval between them shortening with each new climax.

“I am impressed, Leora. Good girl. You crushed her in no time at all. Now, finish up, we need return to the convent before the sun is fully set.”

The praise from the other woman clearly had an effect on Leora. For the first time since they had arrived, Leora lost her composure. Her skin flushed and she let out a moan, her voice coming out with a breathy quality that dripped with lust and desire.

“Yes, Mistress.”

She quickly rallied, her eyes returning to Evelyn’s and showing a deep focus and seriousness that had not been present previously. When she spoke next, the echo returned to Evelyn’s mind.

“You will join the convent, will you not? We can show you faith and belonging. I know how desperate you are for someone and somewhere to belong.”

The words clattered around Evelyn’s empty skull, her mind too weak to do anything but accept her new truth. Leora lifted Evelyn’s chin with a claw and smiled. It was a warm smile that comforted Evelyn’s soul.

“I cannot force you to say yes. This will be your final choice, one way or the other, so choose wisely.”

The stinging pain in her side and her neck made very clear the consequences for choosing incorrectly, even to Evelyn’s empty mind.

But, to Evelyn, there was no choice. Her fate was sealed the moment she took Leora’s hand at the tavern and there was no way out of the spiral she had fallen into. She needed more blood, more pleasure. Worse still, she wanted to belong.

Leora was offering her a place to belong, a way to prove her devotion, and there was simply no way for her to refuse.

“Yes. Please, my Goddess, let me prove my devotion. I wish to join the convent. Please.”

Leora smiled and kissed her once again, roughly and passionately. Evelyn’s eyelids fluttered as she swooned into the kiss and melted into Leora’s touch, feeling immediate relief after the choice had been made.

The other woman stood and moved to be beside them both, gently petting Leora’s head.

“Good. You have done well bringing a new Sister into the fold.”

Leora broke the kiss and released her grip on Evelyn just enough for her to attempt to stand on her own. Evelyn’s thighs were drenched and her knees felt weak, but she was able to remain standing somehow.

In her dazed and melted state, she finally gathered the strength to look up at the other woman who Leora had called ‘Mistress.’ She found two sets of eyes that glowed in gold and a toothy grin of pride. The woman sized her up, gripping Evelyn’s chin in her hand and moving her head around roughly.

“I see now why Leora wanted you. Pretty thing.”

The woman’s voice sent shivers of something deeper than need down her spine. It felt like pure purpose and divine energy were gracing her ears. The hand on her chin made her cunt twitch, the touch akin to a miracle.

“Welcome to Sacred Night, child. I am Corvina. Now, come. We can rehearse your Vows on the way to the Abbey.”

Corvina released her chin and made her way out the house, her perfect figure a delicious silhouette in the light of the setting sun. Leora followed behind, bidding Evelyn to follow suit with her finger gesturing in the shape of a hook.

The chains that bound them tugged gently, and Evelyn’s weak legs somehow found the strength to move.

Her eyes seemed to reflect no light, and her face was fixed with a smile. She was empty and ready to be reborn. She followed, leaving the house behind, a candle catching flame to a curtain in their wake.

As they walked through the town to a waiting carriage, she heard someone yell her name. She turned to the source of the voice and saw a man she did not recognize. He was screaming at her to stop. Her head throbbed, light returning to her eyes for a brief moment.

“Evelyn.”

Her Goddess’ voice tingled inside her thoughts, and she turned to face Leora instead. She was offering Evelyn a hand, to help her into the carriage. Once again without hesitation, she took Leora’s hand in her own and followed.

The carriage door shut behind them and she kneeled in the center of the carriage floor, before her Superiors.

A crack of a whip signaled the horses to begin moving, and soon the carriage was moving at a swift pace. Evelyn remained silent and empty on the floor, her past, present and future wrapped in uncertainty.

That was until she felt Leora wrap around her from behind, and saw Corvina lifting her skirt to reveal her spread legs. One of Leora’s hands massaged her breast and the other found her wet pussy.

Evelyn moaned.

Corvina lifted Evelyn’s chin with the tip of her shoe so that their eyes could meet and spoke.

“Worship and prove your devotion, Evelyn, while I place your Vows in your mind.”

Evelyn nodded, her eager eyes containing rings of both flame and gold.
