A Witch's Dream of Power
by sammynona
Gargoyle Academy was the premier institution for Good in the world. The young men and women who trained in the magical college would go on to become powerful wizards, mages and spell-casters of all creeds. But more important than the accumulation of power was the academy’s focus on moral judgment and fortitude against the forces of evil that threatened their world. The students of Gargoyle Academy were taught empathy, kindness, and charity, making them a blazing light to inspire all of mankind.
So it was no surprise for the potions professor when Vivian Foxheart and her friends volunteered to clean her laboratory. After all, students would regularly volunteer on campus, from growing vegetables with magic circles for food drives, or caring for the griffins and unicorns in the magical creatures wing. It was simply a mark of their good character and their dedication to their studies. The professor didn’t even find it necessary to supervise the trio of young women as they began to clean; good students like them would know better than to mess with any of the dangerous ingredients stored in the locked cabinets.
“This was such a good idea, Viv” said Amanda, rolling up the sleeves of her blouse to get to work. “Professor Bubble looked so happy that we wanted to clean.”
“She sure did,” agreed Esther, the jock pulling out buckets and rags from the closet. “I think we really made her day!”
Viv kept her strained smile fixed on her face as her friends gushed to her. She sat on top of a desk and made no move to help.
“So where do you think we should start?”
“Actually, before we start cleaning…” Viv reached behind her back. “I have a surprise for you both.”
Viv’s best friends at the academy both squealed, eagerly leaning in for their surprise. Viv produced two thin scraps of paper with arcane symbols. Her friends blinked in confusion, then smiled brightly. Even if they didn’t know what the gift was, they were overjoyed at any present from her.
“Wow, what are those?”
“Some peace and quiet,” Viv told them frankly, before pressing the paper talismans to their foreheads. The symbols on the paper flared bright red, and the girls froze rigidly in place. They became like statues, their eyes empty of all thought. Viv snapped her fingers before their blank faces, checking that they were really frozen. Then her shoulders slumped as she finally relaxed, a scowl spreading over her pretty face.
“Fucking finally. I thought those idiots would never shut up.” The two blathering students had their uses, especially for an evil witch who had infiltrated the academy. But having to listen to them giggle and spout stupid niceties day in and day out was torture. Viv would rather keep the dimwitted girls like this. Pretty tools for her to use. Most importantly, they were silent tools now.
“Amanda. Esther. Clean this room,” Viv commanded.
The entranced girls turned and began to silently clean, their chipper and irritating personalities finally wiped away. Now Viv could have some silence to do her real work. While Amanda and Esther worked like mindless maids, Viv made her way to the back of the room where the dangerous ingredients were kept.
The enchanted lock was a joke. How were the professors expecting it to stop anyone but pathetic children? But then, Viv supposed the lack of security was due to the professors trust in their students. It certainly made the witch’s burglary easier.
It had been a significantly more impossible task to break into Gargoyle Academy in the first place. The institution for Good had stood for centuries, churning out a steady stream of dimwitted heroes and magical do-gooders. It was the lifelong goal of witches, dark mages and undead sorcerers to breach the Academy. But all had been thwarted by the wards and defenses of the skilled professors. All except Viv, the only witch to successfully infiltrate the school.
At only nineteen she’d managed to enroll in Gargoyle Academy as a student while keeping her true, evil intentions hidden away from everyone. For months now Viv had been attending classes and gleaning the hidden knowledge of the academy, all right under the professors unsuspecting smiles.
The only flaw in Viv’s plan, the one threat she’d never considered, was that her infiltration came at a terrible cost: she had to actually live among the insufferable students enrolled here as well. Every one of her classmates was a goody two shoes or a wet blanket, all of them with squeaky clean personalities and a desire to do Good. In other words, it was the worst prison Vivian could have ever imagined for herself.
Try as she might, Viv’s entire personality oozed evil. From her sensual curves to her mischievous grin, Viv had nearly given herself away when she’d been the only one to scoff at the idea of doing volunteer work in her first class. For all her planning, Viv had just imagined she’d hide in the background and gleam the secrets from the academy. Now that she was inside, however, the witch had no choice but to play the part of a wizard who wanted to help humanity. And so she volunteered and tutored and attended clubs and even suffered through hanging out with her ‘besties.’
It was sickening work, but this new potion would finally fix things for Viv. All she needed was this final ingredient.
As soon as she touched the glass jar she felt a presence observing her mind, a psychic connection reflecting what it found. The gray liquid within the jar roiled angrily, staining to an inky black to match her soul. The substance was highly restricted, capable of observing and transmitting thoughts. It could be used to steal memories, craft truth potions, or even create enchanted tools for revealing ones true personality.
This last use was the secret to Gargoyle Academy’s defenses. All prospective students were unknowingly tested, their personalities revealed to the professors so that they could be judged for their true intentions. It weeded out all deceivers and spies, or even those students who simply wanted power and fame.
It was thanks to this blatantly biased test that the student body was filled with only the dullest of personalities. Of course, this test assumed that the students weren’t aware they were being observed. Viv had tattooed her body with arcane wards and infernal sigils, all to disguise her wicked intentions. When she sat down to tell the professors how much she wanted to use magic to heal all the sick puppies and kittens in the world, their test revealed her to have a lily white personality that spoke only the truth. They’d thrown the doors open and welcomed Viv instantly.
The evil witch had assumed that infiltrating the academy would be her shining evil achievement. But this new scheme of hers might very well top that. Because she had devised a new purpose for this psychic substance. A brand new potion that would lead to her future victory over Gargoyle Academy.
She siphoned off a small portion of the psychic substance, enough that it would go unnoticed by the professors. Then, being the greedy witch she was, stole a little extra. Twin blobs of gray liquid hung wobbling in the air, glimmering with potential. She took a glass vial off the shelf and sucked one bubble into it, storing it away for later.
Now Viv grinned wickedly as she produced a silver flask. She let the prepared potion rise up out of the flask like a snake freed from its cage. It slithered and engulfed the psychic substance, the ingredients merging and mixing in a flash of light. Energy crackled through the room as an invisible storm rumbled. Viv’s hair was blown back and papers scattered around the room.
Amanda and Esther remained oblivious to the swirling orb of magical chaos across the lab. The blank women merely began to absently pick up the papers blown about.
“Yes,” Viv hissed to herself as her potion became complete. Now she only needed to imprint on it.
She placed her hand on the glowing orb and shoved her wicked thoughts inside. Her dream made manifest.
Viv watched as phantom desires reflected inside the glowing ruby potion. She felt the potion calling to her, vibrating to the same rhythm as her own black heart. The potion was a reflection of her evil ambition and desires; an exact replica of her dream of power. Viv closed her eyes and felt the potion humming, singing a triumphant song of Viv standing atop the ruins of the academy, while evil forces charged over the countryside, all of them marching under the banner of Vivian Foxheart, the greatest witch to ever live.
It flashed bright red and black. Then the liquid settled. Viv quickly grabbed another glass vial and willed the potion to drain inside of it. The vial shone with wicked crimson light as she held it in the palm of her hand.
This was it. With this new weapon in her arsenal she wouldn’t need to worry about hiding her presence for long. It would be a whole new world for her.
She pocketed the glowing ruby vial and swiftly set the closet back to its original arrangement. She resealed the magic lock and erased any trace of her presence there. Satisfied, Viv turned her attention back to her best friends.
The entranced girls were still cleaning. Amanda swept the floor with a vacant expression, while Esther absently wiped at the windows with a rag. They really were much better like this. A familiar hunger flared up in Viv’s heart. She imagined her mindwiped friends cleaning her bedroom instead. Dressed in proper maid attire, or better yet, completely stripped. Oblivious to their nudity, or to all of the depraved things Viv would order them to do to please her.
Viv knew she couldn’t, no matter how wet she was at the thought. Being caught using her classmates as pliant, mindless fucktoys would be all the evidence they’d need to know that she wasn’t pure and good at heart. They’d capture Viv and then there would go all of her hard work. So she stifled her libido, just as she always did. Viv hadn’t been laid at all since coming to the Academy, and the frustration was starting to get to her. Her prudish and repressed classmates considered holding hands to be the height of sexual intimacy. It was all fawning glances and butterfly kisses.
What Viv needed was to fuck someone. To pin them to the wall and beat them, use them, degrade them. Pain and pleasure mixing perfectly as she forced them to worship her boots.
Viv shuddered. “I really do need to get laid.”
But if her potion worked, then she might get that too.
It was all the motivation Viv needed to get herself moving. With a few arcane words she set the classroom shimmering, magically wiping away the dust and grime until it was instantly spotless. Really, it was inane that the students preferred to clean by hand instead of using magic. They said it built character. Viv could gag at such sentimental thinking.
Her mindless besties froze in their cleaning. Their empty minds observed the clean classroom and saw no more work for them to do. So they simply stood there, blank dolls awaiting commands.
Viv chewed her lip.
“Bend over and raise your skirts.”
Amanda and Esther obeyed, swiftly turning and flashing their panties at Viv. The mindless toys would do anything she commanded. It was a waste of the talismans to use them just to create an alibi instead of having fun, but securing the final ingredient in her potion was worth it.
The thought of her potion tucked in her sleeve gave her a wicked idea. She could fix these prudish idiots easily. Simply pour her potion down one of their throats and they’d become much more interesting.
Viv imagined Amanda, so forthright and empathetic, now dressed in slutty leather and spiked heels as she dominated and tortured prisoners with a gleeful smile on her face.
Or Esther, the animal loving jock, twisted into an evil warrior who rode into battle atop a black dragon, going topless in her spiked armor to show off her piercings and tattoos.
And now she imagined both corrupted girls crawling into her bed, eager to serve the witch mistress who saved them from their boring lives. Teasing and torturing them, controlling them like the fuckdolls they were meant to be. Her slaves satisfying her every desire.
It was such a tempting vision. Except Viv wasn’t the witch she was because she gave in to every desire. No, Viv only craved the best. And while corrupting her fake besties would be an improvement, they wouldn’t be a real test of the potion. She’d simply have to save feeding them the potion for the future.
So, with bitter regret, Viv ordered her friends to stand back up and smooth out their skirts. Satisfied that nothing looked amiss with their clothes, Viv quickly checked her own reflection and was dismayed to see the wide, evil grin still stamped on her face. She’d gotten so good at hiding her wicked side, but the thrill of her triumph, and the knowledge that she’d soon have an evil sex slave to abuse, was too much to conceal. With a few magic words Viv summoned a red scarf and quickly wrapped it around her neck. She ducked her grin beneath the scarf and decided it would have to do.
With that she ripped the talismans off of Amanda and Esther’s foreheads. She burned the papers, leaving no evidence behind as her friends blearily came back to consciousness.
“Wow, that was so much fun cleaning!” Amanda gushed, fake memories taking hold to fill in the gap of time.
“I know! It went by in a flash,” agreed Esther. Suddenly her eyes narrowed at Viv, who flinched. She was so used to these girls being oblivious; it would ruin everything if they suddenly grew a brain cell now. But then Esther smiled sweetly. “That’s a super cute scarf, Viv!”
“Thanks,” she grumbled, tucking the scarf up to keep her scowl hidden.
“But this was so much fun. We should ask the other teachers if they need their rooms cleaned too. Right, Viv?”
She wanted to say she’d rather be incinerated with dragon fire, but managed to keep her emotion’s in check. “Perhaps some other time. I’ve got an assignment due that I really need to get working on.”
Her besties lit up with excitement at the mention of homework.
“We can keep you company while you work!”
“Slumber party!”
Viv blanched. “Actually, I think I heard someone mention that the magic herb garden needed weeding. Why don’t you girls get started on that and I’ll join you if I finish early.”
“That’s perfect! Good luck Viv!”
Her besties wrapped her up in a revolting chaste hug before skipping off together to dirty their hands with gardening. Viv truly didn’t understand how they could live this way. The pair of them possessed incredible power and talent, and yet they were consumed by this futile desire to do Good and help others. They would spend their lives wasting their true potential away.
But she could help them see the truth.
With this new potion she wouldn’t be alone anymore. She could have somebody else to be her true self with. A partner in crime to hatch schemes and cackle over bubbling cauldrons while they brewed more wicked spells. Viv wouldn’t be the lone point of sanity in this do-good academy of dunces, full of students too dumb to seize power when they could. At long last she’d have someone just like her.
It had to be the right student, Viv reminded herself as she set off through the academy. Friends and classmates waved when they saw her, and Viv waved back with a fake cheery greeting, her distaste hidden behind the scarf.
Viv shivered and caressed the vial hidden in her sleeve. The thought of her classmates transformed into sexual deviants and evil witches was making her wetter with every step. Finally she’d have another girl to fuck wildly in bed. Sure, some of the goody-goody students were lesbians, but none of them wanted to be bound and ravaged. Their desires went no further than spending quiet evenings reading cook books to each other. Her few attempts at dating had been disappointments to say the least.
Viv needed a woman who was all passion. Who was completely unleashed in bed. A hellcat who would give as good as she got. Not that Viv created the potion just to scratch that particular perverted itch, of course. Her aim was entirely to begin corrupting her fellow students to serve evil. But if any of her new, reformed classmates wanted to become her insatiable and submissive sluts in bed, then Viv would be more than happy to collar their will to hers.
It would be her just reward for an evil job well done. Besides, her fellow students wouldn’t raise any objections against it. Once she’d infected the entire Academy, all of them would thoroughly believe that Viv deserves to rule them all, just like Viv herself believed.
As fun as daydreams about her future harem were, Viv had no choice but to use her first batch of the potion on someone who would make a worthy ally. Caution warned her that she should choose someone insignificant in case the potion backfired, but Viv cut those doubts down instantly. She was the greatest evil witch the world had ever seen. She knew her potion was flawless. Which meant there was no reason to choose some weak sorceress who couldn’t hold her own in Viv’s takeover. She needed a servant just as powerful as her; no, a more powerful sorceress that Viv could enslave to her will. That would be the true proof of her skills.
Which meant that Viv had no choice but to find Juliet Silverleaf: Gargoyle Academy’s greatest student, local hero, and all around the nicest nice girl to ever nice.
It wasn’t long before Viv found Juliet sitting in the library, surrounded by her usual gaggle of close friends. They were all students from various skill sets, some that didn’t even have any magic skills to speak of, but Juliet always saw the best in others and inspired them to be wonderful heroes like her.
Viv gagged behind her scarf. How did Juliet not realize that she could have this school under her heel in a matter of days? Everyone loved her and the teachers thought she could do no wrong. By manipulating those useless friends of hers she could take over every social circle and have everyone in the academy doing her bidding.
Of course no upright and virtuous sorceress would ever do anything like that; that’s why Juliet needed Viv’s help. This potion would help unleash Juliet’s full potential, and incidentally make her into the perfect minion to help put Viv in charge. Helping Viv take over the world was the least Juliet could do in return, really.
Her dream was so close at hand, and yet Viv found herself hiding behind one of the library stacks, watching Juliet laughing along with her boring friends. Viv felt a moment of panic. How was she supposed to get Juliet alone to drink the potion?
Social interactions weren’t one of Viv’s strong suits. Whenever she wanted something growing up she just took it; she didn’t have time for pleasantries or social niceties. But now that she actually needed to act like any normal student asking someone to go with them to someplace isolated, Viv realized that she was drawing a complete blank.
Viv was close to panicking and just summoning a dire-rat into the library to make everyone scatter, when she caught a glimpse of honey-blonde hair racing through the library and let out a sigh of relief. At least this would distract Juliet and give Viv time to think.
“Juliet!” the blonde tumble of hair yelled as she tackled into Juliet from behind for a hug, only her huge bust hit Juliet first and sent her tumbling off her seat.
All the other students laughed as the embarrassed Juliet picked herself off the floor, blushing deeply.
Kalista Pureflow, the most beautiful girl in school, quickly offered Juliet her hand in apology for knocking her over. When Juliet ignored her hand to stand up on her own, Kalista’s smile didn’t diminish at all.
“I’ve told you, Kalista,” Juliet muttered, fixing her dress, “That you can’t just tackle me every time you see me.”
“I can’t help it,” Kalista said with a pout, twirling her blonde hair around one finger. She spoke in a high pitched, babyish voice that made Viv cringe even from across the library. “I just see you and I get too excited, Juliet.”
Juliet blushed and quickly sat back down in her chair. She buried herself in her book as she tried to reclaim her page, all while her assembled friends nudged each other knowingly.
“These two are so cute together,” one of them giggled.
“Maybe we should leave you two alone,” one of the other girls snickered. Kalista beamed gratefully at them, while Juliet blanched.
“B-but I thought we were all going to study together,” Juliet said, sounding desperate. “There’s no need for everyone to run off.”
“Juliet’s right,” Kalista agreed, completely ignoring the panicked look on Juliet’s face as the gorgeous girl dropped down into Juliet’s lap. “We should all stay here and study together. Right, Juliet?” Kalista gave a serene smile and wriggled happily in Juliet’s lap.
From her hiding place in the stacks, Viv couldn’t help but feel sorry for Juliet. Even an idiot could see that Kalista was head over heels in love with Juliet, which was why all of Juliet’s friends knew it and gave each other knowing grins as the blonde snuggled up to her. Viv supposed it made a simple kind of sense to them. Juliet was the school hero, having already been on numerous famous adventures before she even came to college, so of course the hottest girl in school should be her girlfriend.
None of them even seemed to consider that Juliet wasn’t interested in Kalista. And with the distressed expression on Juliet’s face it was pretty obvious, although apparently not obvious enough for a group of idiots to see. Not that Viv could understand why Juliet didn’t take advantage of her situation. If she had Kalista Pureflow wriggling in her lap Viv would already have a hand up her skirt and teasing that no doubt dripping pussy of hers. Then again, that’s the problem with these repressed good types.
Juliet was too nice to tell Kalista she wasn’t interested and risk breaking her heart. So instead the noble heroine was going to just sit there trapped beneath the luscious ass of a hot girl as if it were a punishment. Juliet did appear about ready to gnaw her arm off to escape, though.
It was the best idea she could muster, so Viv went with it and stepped out from the bookshelves. She hurried over to the group and got a few strange stares as she stopped next to Juliet’s chair, the lower half of her face buried inside the thick red scarf. Viv felt all those eyes on her and did her best to keep her anxiety down. She really wasn’t one to deal with groups when she wasn’t allowed to put a curse on any of them.
“Juliet,” Viv said in a voice that sounded much too stiff. She’d meant to say more but decided to keep her mouth shut, afraid to make a fool out of herself.
Juliet glanced up, Kalista still seated happily in her lap, and gave Viv a confused look.
“Oh, hey Vivian. What’s up?”
Viv gulped. “I need you to come with me.”
Now Kalista turned to give her a suspicious look. “What do you need Juliet for?”
The idea of pissing Kalista off gave her some heart, and Viv felt herself feeling more comfortable as she said, “It’s none of your business, Kalista. But Juliet promised to tutor me on the alchemy homework.”
“She did?” Kalista asked, now turning her suspicious gaze down on Juliet.
Juliet just sat there with a puzzled expression. “I did?”
“Yes, you did. So we have to go back to your room so you can help me study.” When Juliet didn’t get the hint, Viv added, “Come on, we have to go.” She nudged her head towards Kalista, who if anything had only wrapped herself tighter around Juliet, and then Viv pointed her eyes towards the exit.
Juliet’s face lit up. “Oh, right! Let’s go!” She tried to jump up from her chair, but Kalista weighed her down. “Um, Kalista, I gotta go.”
Kalista pouted. “But we were gonna study.” On the heels of that, she cast a distrustful look at Viv. “And since when do you and Vivian hang out?”
“When she agrees to tutor me in alchemy,” Viv promptly replied. “Which is now.”
Without waiting for Kalista’s reply, Viv muttered a word and snapped her fingers. Instantly Kalista floated up out of Juliet’s lap, rising into the air with her honey-blonde hair splaying out in all directions, almost like she were swimming underwater. Everyone in the library stared in shock as Kalista rose up towards the ceiling, and thankfully Kalista was so caught off guard that she didn’t even try to toss a spell back at Vivian. When Viv grabbed Juliet’s hand and pulled her out of the chair, though, Kalista snarled.
“How dare you try to steal my-”
Viv just pointed up at Kalista’s skirt, which had flown up around her waist. “Your panties are showing.”
Kalista let out a humiliated shriek as her pink panties were on full display and she hastily started fighting the lack of gravity to get her skirt back down. By the time the other students were helping to pull Kalista down to the floor, Viv and Juliet were gone.
Kalista growled to herself, thinking of all sorts of forbidden curses she knew that she shouldn’t use. “That girl’s up to something. I know it.”

In the hallway outside, Juliet’s hand was wriggling in Viv’s grasp. She could have broken away easily, but apparently Juliet thought it would have been rude to simply rip her wrist free, and instead struggled just to show that she wasn’t happy with the situation but was amenable enough to go along with it. Viv wondered why she ever thought it would have been hard to capture Juliet.
“That really wasn’t a very nice thing you did to Kalista back there,” Juliet said primly.
Viv shrugged. “She’ll be fine. Gravity will come back to her in a minute or two. Besides, I had to do something to rescue you.”
Juliet stopped short and blushed. “Wh-why would I need to be rescued?”
“Because you’re clearly not interested in Kalista and she was literally throwing herself at you. Seemed like she deserved having her underwear flashed in return.”
“That’s not- Kalista wasn’t-” Juliet sighed. “Is it that obvious?”
“Yes,” Viv replied without hesitation. “I don’t see why any of your friends can’t realize it. Or Kalista, for that matter.”
“It’s not that I don’t like her,” Juliet muttered, running a hand anxiously through her pretty red hair. “She’s great, and a good friend, and pretty but…”
“But you don’t want to fu-” Viv stopped herself from saying fuck, which was something good students didn’t say at Gargoyle Academy. “F- frolic in the flowers with her,” she finished lamely, not even knowing what it was supposed to mean but it was the best she could improvise.
Luckily Juliet was the sweet and innocent kind of girl who nodded as if that made perfect sense. “Yeah. I’m just not in love with her. But how do I tell her that?”
With a serious expression, Viv said, “Kalista, I’m not in love with you. There.”
Juliet laughed. “That’s easy for you to say. You’re not in love with her.”
“Neither are you,” Viv pointed out.
“I know, but I don’t want to hurt her feelings.”
Viv shook her head. What was wrong with these girls? They were all twenty years old or so but still worrying about crushes like they were children just discovering their hormones. There was something about being pure and good that made you repressed and way too naive. Once she got Juliet to drink her potion, though, she’d have no problem being her true self. Or at least the evil, corrupted version of Juliet that would soon become her true self.
Viv suddenly smiled and touched the potion in her sleeve. “You know, if you’re lacking some courage, I may have something that can help.”
Juliet regarded her with a disbelieving look. “Really?”
“It’s a new potion I’m working on,” she said, ducking her mouth behind her thick scarf to conceal her evil smile. “I’m working on it for extra credit. It’ll give anyone who drinks it courage… and valor… and, um, a desire to help their friends and tell the truth.”
Viv knew she was laying it on a little thick, but despite Juliet’s innocent act, she’d already defeated evil wizards and demons much more powerful than her. There was no way she’d be tricked so easily as to drink a strange potion from a girl she barely knew. It was-
“That would be perfect!” Juliet gushed, clapping her hands onto Viv’s shoulders. “I can finally tell Kalista that I want to just be friends. Can I have it?”
Viv shrank back warily. Was this a trick? Did Juliet know that she was evil and was just messing with her? But staring into Juliet’s wide green eyes it was clear she was completely sincere. She’d really gulp down the potion without even a second thought!
Viv started to reach into her sleeve. “It’s right-” She caught herself though. If she drank the potion here it’d unleash Juliet’s repressed evil urges, which would likely be an interesting show for any other students wandering the hallway. “-In my room,” she finished, turning Juliet around and steering her off to her room. This was going better than Juliet could have hoped.
“Thank you so much for helping me.”
“Oh, it’s my pleasure,” Viv grinned, already imagining what a completely uninhibited Juliet would be capable of. Viv just prayed to the dark ones that she had some kinky fantasies hidden away somewhere.
