"it's so nice being out on a date like this, isn't it?" adrianus murmured, dangling rain's necklace in front of her.

they were at a cafe, but at the very least, they weren't too close to anyone else. she stared at the pendant, her heart pounding.

she nodded.

"that's right... there's no need to be shy... you can go into a nice trance for me... this is just what love feels like... isn't it?"

she nodded again. her face felt so warm. he was being so sweet, and affectionate, and understanding... even if it felt a little weird... but her head was too fuzzy to really think much about it.

he gently put the necklace back around her neck, whispering about how just wearing it might keep her in a trance. how, since it was a gift from him, for her to wear, she could feel the love coming from it.

her shoulders dropped. she stared into his eyes, reaching across the table to hold his hand, to feel his touch. any self consciousness was fading away.

"this does feel nice..." she said quietly, her voice kind of a monotone.

"that's right, sweetheart," he said softly, caressing her hand. "you'll be completely focused on me... on our date... nothing else matters right now..."

"nothing else matters right now..." she repeated.

it did feel like she was falling deeper in love, every time he hypnotized her.
