"Down you go, good boy…"

Snap snap snap. Sam's eyes fluttered as he slumped in his seat.

"And even deeper now. You just obey, Sam."

SNAP.

Gabrielle smiled, watching Sam's eyes drop closed.

"Nothing could be simpler." Snap.

"Nothing could be easier." Snap.

"Lean back for me, Sam. Always staying comfortable, always feeling good when I hypnotize you." Snap. She watched him sink into the recliner again.

Gabrielle paused for a moment, taking in Sam's relaxed expression, his body sunk deep into the armchair, unable to fight her simple suggestion.

"And you can go ahead and put your mind in my hands again, Sam. Your mind rests under my control, my voice carries you along. You just obey, Sam."

Gabrielle grinned. Sam was obviously excited, but still completely helpless. She continued.

"Nothing could be simpler. Nothing could be easier. Your mind is in my hands. You just obey, Sam.

"Your mind is empty. No thoughts but my words. You just obey."

Gabrielle paused again, watching for Sam's response. Still helpless in the recliner, but she thought she heard… a sigh? A moan?

Gabrielle walked closer, snapping her fingers again and watching Sam's breath.

"Helpless in my control. Weak for my words. You just obey."

She reached out, brushing his cheek. They were flushed warm.

"Very good, Sam. We're going to test things now.

"I'm sure you've heard about waking trances before. Your body can move naturally, even while your mind is completely hypnotized. You just obey…"

Sam was her servant. That's what he remembered.

The lovely Gabrielle was an important guest, important enough to deserve the private lounge all to Herself. And a dedicated attendant to wait on Her hand and foot. That was Sam's role this evening.

Sam tried to stay calm as he refilled Gabrielle's glass. He was always professional when on the clock, but it was difficult not to notice the Lady's beauty. It was almost overwhelming. He hoped his voice wasn't shaking.

"A-And does my Lady desire anything else from Her servant?" He thought he saw a smile flicker-- had he said something funny?

"Nothing currently, Samuel. You've already done so well for Me. "

Sam felt so proud to receive Her praise.

"Please, if there's any other way I can be of service… I would be only too pleased, my Lady." Sam realised they weren't hollow words. He was actually disappointed he couldn't do anything else for the Lady.

"Actually… There is one more thing you could do for Me, Samuel."

And Her voice. There was something about it which just carried him along. He wanted that voice to guide him to the next task he could do, the next thought he could have…

"Yes my Lady?"

"It's silly really… A personal request."

"Please, I'd be happy to…"

"Well, it's honestly a silly preference. But while you're waiting on Me… would you kneel for Me, Samuel?"

Sam felt his breath catch in his throat.

"Kneel?"

"Yes Samuel. You'll do that for Me, won't you? You'll kneel just there, just in this spot for Me."

It had stopped being a question. He looked at the spot on the floor where She'd indicated, then realised he was already moving towards it. It was like he was just drifting in a daydream. His body didn't seem to need his direction. He just obeyed.

"That's right. Sinking down for Me. Down to your knees. Nothing could be simpler. Nothing could be easier."

That's right. He was. He was kneeling for Her.

"You're doing so well, Samuel. That's right. You just obey." Gabrielle smiled down at him, as he knelt just near Her seat.

He thought some part of him should resist, should insist he couldn't while he was at work, or that he didn't do that for customers, even important, stunningly beautiful, persuasive women like Herself. But none of that happened. Whoever would do those things wasn't here right now.

Gabrielle smiled. "Such a good servant you are, Samuel. So obedient and willing to please." Gabrielle gestured expansively, "I can think of so many other things you'll do for Me soon--"

Somehow She knocked over the wine glass he'd poured. The glass shattered and shards spread across the floor. Instinctively, Sam wanted to help, reaching for one.

"Sam, stop. That's enough for now."

Sam was awake again. He realised he shouldn't try picking up broken glass with his bare hands.

"Oh. Right. Sorry, I don't know what I was thinking. I--"

Gabrielle shushed him. "You're absolutely fine, dear. This one's on me. Clearly I need to think more about safeties, but I was over-eager. The rest of the evening was going so well. Don't move, good boy. I'll get the dustpan and brush."

Gabrielle hopped up from her seat. She was back in a moment, kneeling next to Sam and sweeping up the shards.

"Okay, I think you're safe now." She helped him up.
