Within an arcade deep within an enchanted castle, a siren prepares to play her favorite game! Unfortunately, another much more powerful denizen has another idea for what she should be playing…

Can you believe it guys? It's only November 29th! Wow! November has lasted for so long!

Yeah, this took forever to get out. I don't really have much of an excuse, I think I just really got thrown off when I missed Day 25 and it delayed my schedule by a day, and then it just started compounding and becoming hard to write... Yeah, I don't think I'll be opening commissions for a while lol.

Don't worry though, Day 30 is already written and coming soon! I actually finished that one first and then went back and finished this one, just to make sure I wouldn't miss anything. I think at this rate It'd make sense to post it tomorrow as a "Christmas Gift" lol.

This is part of the same universe as Day 22, so hopefully the characters make sense even without the full (unwritten) context.

From deep within the Crystal Castle, a strange song echoed off the crystalline walls. A catchy, infectious melody designed to worm its way into your ears, designed to make you move to its beat. Surrounded by a multitude of lights, rapidly flashing on and off in tandem with the music... This strange machine held one denizen in particular completely spellbound. Siree stared up at the pretty lights, letting the music wash over her through her currently silent earbuds. There was nothing she loved doing more. That was why the arcade was her favorite room.

Today, however, her favorite machine wasn't functioning quite as it should. Instead of pretty arrows and people dancing, the screen displayed an erratic, jagged series of loops. A spiral, though only in the loosest possible sense. The lovely music kept getting interrupted by sounds of static and muttering as well. She was quite saddened by this, but knew it was for the best, so she passed the time by listening to music on her wonderful little device instead. By the time her third song had ended, the 'spiral' had vanished, and the machine seemed to be working again. [Okay, uh, I fixed it. Probably.] The voice of her friend played over the small speaker he carried as he removed his arm from the inside of the machine. Siree trilled happily and got ready to play.

Siree had recently realized that her favorite machine did not just make pretty lights and noises, it was also a game! When the pretty arrows reached the top, she stepped on the arrows beneath her, and they flashed brighter! And even better, it was in tune to the music it was playing! She wasn't amazing at it due to her bird legs not being quite as good at moving as other legs, but she was getting better almost every time! Her friend Robot (His actual name was soooo long and hard to remember so she used a nickname) could move his legs a lot faster than hers, and he was very good at knowing where to step on, but he sometimes went way too fast and did everything way too early. But that was fine! They both loved Moving to the Music in their own ways!

A few songs in, while Siree was watching the numbers go up and Robot was untangling his hair from her wing, they heard a lovely hum approaching the arcade. The hum was so familiar... It made Siree's head feel so drifty and floaty... Made all her feathers feel fuzzy... What was it again...? [Oh no it's her] Siree looked over at the entrance and saw Her. The... Red Siren. Or evil siren. Siree was never sure what to call her...  Though something deep within her suggested "Mistress"... That just felt right… And she also had the cute moth with her. The cute moth was almost never here, and she was always so scared of Siree until Siree sang to her and made her sleepy. But she already looked sleepy right now… The Red Siren had wrapped her tail around them (Why did the Red Siren have a tail? That always confused Siree, who sadly did not have one) and was leading them along. Robot spread his arms and wings wide, trying to block the entrance. [We claimed the machine today Sirenccubus, go away!] Oh right… That was her name!

Sirenccubus smiled at him. “There are so many more machines for us to use inside, little metal siren~ You cannot claim the entire arcade for yourself~” She ducked under his arm, her soft red wings stroking his metal body. [Me and Siree are playing together, I'm not going to let you hypnotize her!] Sirenccubus laughed softly, and it made Siree's wings feel fuzzy. “Oh, it's not my fault that little Siree is so susceptible to my voice~ There's nothing I can do to stop her from falling under my spell if even my words make her drift into a trance for me~” Siree smiled softly, swaying from side to side as she listened to Sirenccubus’s pretty voice… She forgot why she wasn't supposed to listen again… Too floaty and drifty to remember… Robot rapidly shook her, and the driftiness drifted away. Wait, no, the driftiness was bad! [Go away! I'm warning you! I can fight you!] Robot formed his arm into a cool looking sword. Sirenccubus smiled condescendingly at him. “Swords are of no use when their user is under the spell of the one it's pointed at~ Threats do not matter when I can tell you not to hurt me, and you will comply~”

Robot raised the sword. [Your voice doesn't work on me! I know how to regulate sound!] Sirenccubus chuckled, her voice sending a warm shiver through Siree's body. “Digital sound, perhaps~... But not the true essence of sound~...” She lowered her voice, a hypnotic hum echoing off the walls. “Even a mechanical being like yourself can feel vibrations~... My voice, flowing through your body, touching every inch in the most pleasurable way possible~...” Robot tried to respond, but began to vibrate against his will. His hair flickered with soft crimson lights, and his eyes dimmed. “Feel my voice~ Let my vibrations consume you~ And obey~” Sirenccubus's voice quietly echoed back from the speaker in Robot's hand. [...obey~...] Sirenccubus gave a hypnotic laugh and gently pushed Robot aside. “Good little sirens~”

Siree stared at her as she approached, too drifty and fuzzy to do anything. “Ahh, you finally got your favorite toy working again, hm~?” Siree obediently nodded, her eyes fluttering from the soft vibrations flowing through her body. Sirenccubus laughed hypnotically. “Perhaps you'd like me to improve it for you, little Siree~? Nod for me~” Siree obediently nodded again, and Sirenccubus chuckled, gently caressing Siree's chin with her velvety feathers. “Good girl~ Oh, metal siren~?” Robot looked up, his eyes glowing a dull crimson. “I think this machine is in need of some new music~ Fix it for me~” Robot obeyed, sticking his arm inside the machine again. A soft hum emitted from his arm as it vibrated against the machine, and the cute moth began to stir. She made a fearful squeak, but Sirenccubus flowed over to her and began singing, almost instantly sending her into a deep, obedient trance. Siree just watched, her head buzzy and fuzzy. All she could think and feel was the lovely music…

Robot continued messing with the machine, Mistress Sirenccubus directing his every action. Siree tried to help, but Mistress Sirenccubus waved her tail before her eyes, and soon all she could do was watch the pretty tail swing back and forth… So nice to do… Just swaying in hypnotized bliss… But she started hearing noise… Someone yelling… And suddenly the pretty tail was no longer in front of her, because Mistress Sirenccubus was walking over to talk with someone… A pretty angel woman with a lot of wings… Siree didn't see her much, but she remembered she was the cute moth's friend… She was angry at Mistress Sirenccubus for some reason…

“...YOU MUST RELEASE MY FRIEND FROM YOUR GRASP, SHATTERED MONSTER!” The Angel was furious, but Mistress Sirenccubus chuckled smugly. “Calm yourself, Angela Serena~ You wouldn't want to make your friend stressed, would you~?” The Angel glared furiously at Mistress Sirenccubus, but lowered her voice. “You are the one making her stressed! You kidnapped her as she was leaving our sanctum!” Mistress Sirenccubus shook her head. “Stressed~? Why, your friend isn't stressed at all~ Look at her~” She beckoned for the cute moth to approach. “She's perfectly calm in my care, Angela Serena~ See how relaxed her body is~ How her wings droop low and soft~ How her antennae sway so softly~ She's perfectly fine, Angela Serena~” The Angel stared softly at the cute moth before shaking her head to return to normal. “No! I know you, and your monstrous plans! You will not use my friend for y-”

Mistress Sirenccubus gently placed her tail over the Angel's mouth. “Shhhhh~ Do not yell~ There is no need to become stressed yourself~ And I only have altruistic intentions with your adorable friend~ See how her expression is one of relaxation… One of bliss~... Her eyes are so soft and dim, almost as if she sleeps as she stands~ Does she not look so happy, Angela Serena~?” The Angel tried to shake her head, but Mistress Sirenccubus continued. “Look into her eyes, Angela Serena~ See how blissful she is~ How relaxed she is~ A dim, unworrying pleasure~... Her eyes are as dim as her mind~... Is it not comforting to see your friend so happy and calm, Angela Serena~? Her relaxation is almost contagious~ Her kind has no eyelids, but you do, and yours are beginning to flutter~ Feeling so dim~ So sleepy~ So relaxed~ So wonderfully Suggestible~ You're feeling so sleepy now, are you not, Angela Serena~?” The Angel sleepily nodded. “Yawn for me~ Show me how sleepy you are~” The Angel gave a wide, adorable yawn, leaning into Mistress Sirenccubus’s velvety touch. Siree almost felt herself falling asleep as she watched Mistress Sirenccubus whisper to the Angel… But a beep from the machine woke her up a bit… It was still broken… She should help fix it… So, while Mistress Sirenccubus was distracted, Siree hit as many buttons as she could to try and help fix the machine.

A few minutes later, thanks to Robot and certainly Siree, the machine began to emit a deep, seductive hum that filled the entire room, an almost physical presence of pure, hypnotic sound. The screen now displayed a rippling crimson pool that pulsed and spiraled along with the hum. Mistress Sirenccubus smiled in satisfaction. “Perfect~” She looked over her thralls, all standing entranced before her. “You wished to play with this, did you not~? Dancing to the lights and music~... But it has been here so long, with nothing new~ I believe it needed a new tune~... Now, my toys~,” She tapped the machine with her tail, and a hypnotizing melody emerged as the screen glowed brighter, “Move to My Music~” Vibrations filled the room, and then filled all her thralls…

Siree could feel the music reaching deep down within her, every piece of her body vibrating with blissful obedience. Every tiny change of note or tone felt like it was touching her soul, telling her how to feel, how to think… And how to Move. Siree began to dance elegantly, like a flowing river, the movements hardly feeling like her own. She was a vessel to the wonderful music, and every sense was filled with bliss. The wonderful music in her ears, the powerful vibrations through her body, the crimson pool before her eyes, and the music started to smell and taste of something indescribably deep, sweet, and intense… Her old self didn't matter… It hardly even existed now… She existed to dance for her Mistress along with the others… Time melted away, and all there was, was the music… Until a horrible loud screech interrupted it, and it went away.

Siree's head hurt as she blearily looked around… Where was she again…? She was in the arcade, right…? Oh no, her favorite machine wasn't working! The screen was all black and it wasn't making noise! Sirenccubus looked really angry about it too. Wait… Why were they here again? That was bad, right? She looked over at Robot, who was slowly waking back up. A weird noise came from his speaker as his eyes flickered on. He stared blankly at Sirenccubus for a few seconds before realizing she was there. He quickly formed his arm into a blade and ran up to her, repeatedly hitting her on the head. [go away go away go away go away go away go away go away]. Sirenccubus shoved him away, annoyed. The Angel stood up, her wings spread wide and very bright, and started yelling. “LEAVE US AT ONCE, YOU SHATTERED MONSTER! YOU SHALL NOT, ER, DEFILE US AGAIN!” Sirenccubus rolled her eyes and sighed. “How obnoxious~... At least you provided **some** entertainment for me before it was ruined~...” She cracked her tail like a whip and left in a huff.

The Angel lowered her wings and quickly leaned down to embrace the cute moth, flushed and breathing heavily. She hastily reassured the cute moth, “She is gone, everything is fine, everything is fine, everything is fine…” The cute moth cuddled up to her, smiling serenely as she stroked their antennae. Robot examined the machine. [I thought I just fixed it, weird. Maybe she made me break it?] He stuck his arm back in and started looking around inside. [mmmmmmmm… Oh, huh. Looks like a file couldn't handle that many inputs at once and crashed once it was accessed. Wonder how that happened.] Siree shrugged. She had no idea why the machine broke sometimes, and she was very happy that Robot did!

A few minutes later, Robot finished removing all the stuff Sirenccubus made him change. [Alright good to go!] Siree trilled happily, startling the Angel. “Ah! Oh. Er, I suppose myself and my charge should return to the forest now.” She gently lifted the cute moth up, but Robot looked over at them. [Come on don't you wanna play?] The Angel rapidly shook her head. “No! I mean, er, I do not think so… Far too loud and stimulating… I cannot risk it.” Robot shrugged. [You don't have to play the same game as us. Come on there's plenty of stuff in here to play!] The Angel bit her lip. “Well… I suppose I could give it a try… It has been so long since I was in an arcade… Do you suppose they have Zyracstackers?” There was an awkward silence. [No idea what that is.] The Angel chuckled awkwardly. “It was my favorite game back, er, I suppose I can find something similar. Hopefully calm. Come, my charge.” She gently led the cute moth deeper into the arcade. Siree looked over at Robot, who shrugged. [Well… Let's play another round!] Siree trilled happily and got ready to start moving again. She loved her favorite machine!
