[The television screen flickers on by itself, showing a pattern of static that quickly morphs into a spiral. Subliminal whispers sound beneath the noise as pulses of color begin to fill the spiral. The whispers grow louder as words {WATCH, LISTEN, TUNE IN} flash on screen. Music begins to play as the spiral grows smoother and brighter, a picture slowly swirling on screen. The whispers, music, and subliminal flashing grows stronger as the picture becomes more clear. Finally, it becomes visible. It says 'Hypno or HypNot?' in a swirling golden font. The music grows louder as the spiral fades away, revealing a colorful stage where two beautiful ladies stand and take a bow.]

Hosts: "Welcome to 'Hypno or Hypnot'!"

[The left one steps forward. She wears an old-fashioned blue suit from which smooth feathery azure wings poke out and carries a magic wand that exudes an enchanting sapphire glimmer. A silver pocketwatch is tucked into her waistcoat pocket.]

???: "We are your lovely Hosts of Hypnosis,  Emcees of Entrancement, Sirens of the Static... Back and Forth~!"

[Her companion, Forth, steps forward. She wears a beige retrofuturistic suit with two robotic silver wings attached and a visor that flickers with hypnotic data. A sapphire pendant dangles hypnotically from her neck.]

Forth: "Thank you for tuning in to our display of hypnotic talents from across the multiverse, dear viewers! Especially if it was a conscious choice~!"

Back: "And we certainly have a wonderful show for you tonight! A truly special episode~!"

Forth: "We would call it unforgettable, but, well, we can make you forget anything~!"

Back: "Like that embarrassing thing you did three years ago~! [she snaps her fingers]"

Forth: "Or that unsettling image you saw~! [she snaps her fingers]"

Back: "Or any reason you have not to Sit Back~"

Forth: "Relax~"

Hosts: "And enjoy the show~ [they snap their fingers simultaneously]"

[A relaxing hum echoes through the air from their snap.]

Back: "But before we get to the surprise, we need to introduce our subject~!"

Forth: "Plucked from universe HN24M411, please welcome tonight's plaything~!"

[A spiraling vortex appears, depositing a nervous young woman onto the stage. She is generally unremarkable, save for the blue and beige spiral barrette in her hair. She glances around frantically, scared. Words float around her {Terrified. Confused. Was I kidnapped? I need to get away!}.]

Sub: "W-Where am I?! I was just walking home, what's going-"

[Back gently grabs her chin and Forth touches her neck. The woman’s gaze is drawn to Back's deep, swirling sapphire eyes, as Forth rhythmically taps and caresses her neck. The woman relaxes very quickly. Words float around her {Feeling relaxed. Feeling safe. Everything is fine. No worries. No stress. Mistresses Back and Forth will take care of me}. She smiles sleepily and collapses into Back, who easily catches her.]

Back: "As you can see, the wonderful device on her head shows us her feelings in real time~!"

Forth: "Half the fun of hypnosis is seeing as someone falls under, of course~!"

Back: "Now, of course we can't have her already hypnotized, that would spoil the fun~! But we'll suppress just enough of her fear to keep her from running off the stage~!"

Forth: "Not all of it though~! The sopping wet cat subs are always the most fun to trance~!"

[The hosts snap their fingers and dissolve into clouds of magic that swirl around the sub {Pretty magic. Feels so warm. Waking up. Need to stay on stage. Need to forget being hypnotized. I am not in mortal danger}. The clouds of magic fly up to the top corners of the camera, where they become squares containing the hosts, Back on the top left in a design of blue vines, and Forth on the top right with a design of silver data.]

Back: "Now, without further ado, let's introduce our first contestant~! From universe HN23F2330, it's Warlock of the Stars, Evva!"

[A swirling blue portal appears, depositing onto the stage a small black-haired woman wearing black, gemstudded robes. She clutches a large tome to her chest and looks almost as scared and confused as the sub. She looks at the sub, trembling.]

Evva: I-I... I-I don't think it's safe for you here... I-If it isn't for me, th-then it certainly is!"

Forth: "As always, all our contestants have been implanted with a powerful suggestion to believe they're in a situation where they would be most likely to hypnotize the sub!"

Back: "It appears Evva's first instinct was to help the sub despite her fears! Quite noble of her~!"

Forth: "It's always nice to see kind dommes on this show~!"

[Evva nervously steps towards the sub, who backs away {Scared. What's going on? Why is she dressed like that?}. Evva reaches into her belt and takes out a thin bejeweled telescope. She raises it towards the sub {What is that? Why is she pointing it at me?! What is she going to do to me?!}.]

Evva: "D-Don't worry, I'm a Warl-... I'm a C-Cleric of the Stars! H-Here to help you, I promise! J-Just watch!"

[The telescope creates a shimmering point of light that floats before Evva. {What is that? It looks kinda pretty. Is she really just here to help?}. Evva begins creating more motes of light, forming a constellation that resembles a spiraling heart. With a command word, it bursts into a mesmerizing display of shimmering pink light that surrounds the sub {What's that?! It's... It's so pretty... Head feels funny... Feel nice... Everything is sparkly... Oh, she's so pretty! I love her! I need to cuddle her! I need to obey her!}. The sub runs up and begins snuggling Evva, her eyes shimmering pink. Evva yelps.]

Evva: "U-Uh, th-thanks! {So warm... So cuddly... Smells so nice...} Th-Thanks for the compliments, uh... O-Oh, it's still so dangerous here! I... I think I need to send you to sleep! Just, uh, watch the lights again!"

[Evva begins creating another constellation {So pretty... She's so powerful... I love her... I wish I had magic...}. It resembles a crescent moon that spirals in on itself, and the motes are far dimmer {Pretty lights... Making me feel... Sleepy...}. With a command word, the constellation dissolves into a dark blue sand that lightly falls over the sub {Oooh... So... So Sleepy... Can't keep eyes open... Need to... Sleep}. The sub collapses onto Evva, who yelps and falls to the floor. The sub is fast asleep, slightly drooling from the dreamy smile on her face.]

Evva: "Ow! Uh, g-good night... I-I'll try and protect you... Wh-where are we...? What's going on...?"

[The hosts snap their fingers, sending swirling clouds of magic down to Evva's head.]

Evva: "[she yawns] I feel so... sleepy... Yes... I'll feel better if I sleep... My patron can guide me in my dreams... Should... Sleep..."

[Evva's eyes flutter closed and she falls fast asleep, clutching the sub like a big plushie.]

Back: "Aww, now that's adorable~! Certainly worth an extra point, I'd say~!"

Forth: "As for her performance, she put the sub under fairly quickly, but definitely could have been more efficient~! Two spells is better than Three, but not as good as One~!"

Back: "And her nervousness is endearing, but being so caught off guard by the sub's reactions certainly loses her a few points for execution!"

Forth: "But her care for the sub is above average~! I'm sure in another world, these two would be great friends~!"

Back: "Maybe even lovers~!"

Forth: "All-in-all, this shy little warlock receives 3 and a half Stars~! Now let's send her to the audience~!

[The hosts snap their fingers, and Evva vanishes in a cloud of magic. She reappears seated before the stage, her eyes glazed over and a sleepy smile on her face. The sub wakes up as the cloud covers her and stands back up {Waking up. Need to stay on stage. Need to forget being hypnotized. I am not in mortal danger}.]

Back: "Now for our next hypnotist! Would you do the honors, Forth~?"

Forth: "Gladly, Back~! From universe HN24SF8, A lovely reprogramming droid, it's Lotus Unit 099821!"

[A swirling silver portal appears, depositing a feminine robot onto the stage. Her face is entirely blank save for her large digital eyes, and a swirling lotus flower is displayed prominently on her chest. She looks over at the sub and cocks her head in a curious manner.]

Lotus Unit: You seem stressed, human. I will assist you. I will reprogram you. 

Sub: "W-What?! No! G-Get away!"

[The sub tries to run, but is unable to leave the stage due to the suggestions implanted within her {Need to get away! Can't leave the stage! Need to stay on stage!}. The Lotus Unit raises a hand and emits a flowery pulse of energy at the sub, causing her to fall {Legs fuzzy... Legs heavy... Can't move... Too heavy...}]

Sub: "Wh-what did you do?! Why can't I move?!"

Lotus Unit: You do not need to move. I will reprogram you now. 

[The Lotus Unit gently grabs the sub's chin and makes eye contact. Her digital eyes begin to swirl in a complex flowering display, and hypnotic music emanates from her. The sub struggles briefly before falling into a blissful trance {N-No... I... I feel... good... blissful... obedient... Pretty flowers... So perfect... I must become perfect... I am a good human... I am being reprogrammed... No more stress... No more fear... I am perfect... I am perfect... I am perfect...}. The Lotus Unit pulls the sub up, and the sub stands perfectly straight, her eyes bright and glassy and a calm smile on her face.]

Lotus Unit: There. You are reprogrammed. You will feel better now.

Sub: I am reprogrammed. I feel better. I am perfect. 

Lotus Unit: I will report back to the Mother Unit. [Her eyes display a loading symbol for several minutes.] I cannot connect to the Lotus Network. This is troubling. Where am I located?

[Forth snaps her fingers and a small silver arc of electricity shocks the Lotus Unit.]

Lotus Unit: Powering... Dowwwwwnnnnnn [blip]

[Back snaps her fingers, producing a cloud of blue mist that sends the sub to sleep.] 

Back: "Mmm, leaving the sub standing like that is gonna cost her a bit~!"

Forth: "Though, as to be expected for a robot, her efficiency was flawless~! Immediately incapacitating the sub, followed by a nearly instant submission~! Her execution less so, what with leaving the sub blank for so long, but still impressive!"

Back: "In terms of care, however, I'm afraid she was QUITE flawed! She at least felt she was helping the sub, so it's not a full goose egg, but the poor little thing was scared out of her mind~!"

Forth: "All-in-All, she's just shy of Evva at 3 stars! Now, let's send her to the audience~!"

[The hosts snap their fingers, sending the Lotus Unit to the audience in a cloud of magic. Her digital eyes display blank eyes that flash with colors in tandem, the left one blue and the right one silver. The cloud covers the sub, waking her up and unreprogramming her {Waking up. Need to stay on stage. Need to forget being reprogrammed. I am a normal human. I am not in mortal danger}.]

Back: "And now, the moment we've all been waiting for~! Our final guest for today..."

Forth: "Hailing from her very own pocket universe..."

Back: "Possessed of more powers than even she herself can count..."

Forth: "The Extradimensional Enchantress, the Mistress of Many, the Queen of the Crystal Castle..."

Hosts: "Mae Hypnowth~!"

[A swirling blue and silver portal appears, soon transforming into a shimmering rainbow haze, and an indescribably beautiful woman steps out. Her long brown hair and loose white robes flutter ethereally around her. An almost visible aura of power and relaxation emanates from her, and the sub is soothed just by her presence {Who is that? She's... pretty... I feel like I can trust her...}. Mae looks around and blinks slowly, clearly confused.]

Mae: "I don't recall dreamwalking here..."

Back: "I'm looking forward to seeing what she decides to do here~!"

Forth: "Indeed~! With how many powers she has, it's impossible to tell~!"

[Mae looks around, still confused.]

Mae: "Who's speaking?"

Back: "..."

Forth: "..."

Back: "...And it appears one of those powers allows her to hear us."

Forth: "...Yes. Certainly embarrassing to be overheard."

Mae: "Where am I?"

Back: "...You are on 'Hypno or HypNot!', our multiversal show of hypnosis, brainwashing, mind control, and all other wonderful forms of manipulation~!"

Forth: "We are Back and Forth, and you, Mae, are our Star of the Show today~!"

[Mae blinks slowly, then smiles innocently.]

Mae: "Oh. That's fun.

Back: "All you have to do is hypnotize our lovely sub, any way you wish~!"

Forth: "And we'll stay quiet so you can focus, don't worry~!"

Mae: "[blinks] Oh, thanks!" 

[Mae walks over to the sub, who has been staring at her the whole time, already partially entranced {So beautiful... Makes me feel warm inside... So nice to watch... Oh, she's coming over here!!}. Mae smiles kindly down at her as she blushes.]

Mae: "Hello."

Sub: "H-Hi! I... I'm... I..."

[Mae leans down and gives the sub a headpat. The sub immediately relaxes and blushes deeply {Feel so comfy... So fuzzy... This feels so good... I'm so happy she touched me like this... So happy... So comfy... So happy...}.]

Mae: "Do you want to see something cool?"

[The sub nods {Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes}. Mae giggles and holds out her palm. She waves her other hand over it and creates a shimmering black orb, filled with stars forming a swirling galaxy.]

Mae: "This is my pet galaxy. Millions of stars, all full of love for me. Look into the spiral. Isn't it pretty?"

[The sub gazes deep within the swirling galaxy, beginning to sway {So beautiful... I could stare into this forever... I'm starting to... Fall in...}. The sub leans against the orb, her eyes filling with stars {So many stars... All so massive... I'm like a bit of dust next to them... and they all love Her... She's so powerful... So beautiful... So overwhelming...}. The barrette on the sub's head begins glowing, and black space begins to leak out from it.]

Back: "Oh, that's not good!"

Forth: "We definitely need to work on that!"

Back: "At least it's... pretty..."

Forth: "So pretty..." 

[The hosts stare entranced as the stage is transformed into part of the galaxy. Millions of stars glimmer hypnotically in all directions, all radiating pure, cosmic bliss. The sub floats blissfully in space, her eyes completely black and starry. {I am nothing... She is everything... I am infinitesimal... She is infinite...}. Mae reaches down and pets her head, and her mindless bliss radiates out from all around her. The sub's body glows with happiness as her form begins to melt into pure, unfiltered bliss, swirling around in space for an uncountable amount of time before coalescing into a new star, shining brightly and radiating her pure bliss all over the stage. Mae smiles.]

Mae: "You make a cute little star."

[The sub's star body nearly doubles in size from joy. The hosts and audience stare in a state of deep, contented bliss, their eyes shimmering just like the stars.]

[After an uncountable length of time, Mae snaps her fingers.]

Mae: "Time to sleep, little star."

[The sub falls asleep and the stage instantly returns to normal. The sub's body returns to her regular human form, though her skin now shimmers slightly. Mae gently rubs her head before laying her down on the stage and standing up. She smiles.]

Mae: "Thank you! This was fun."

[Mae focuses for a second, then steps forward and vanishes in a shimmering rainbow haze. The hosts continue to stare, utterly entranced, for quite a while until they finally begin to come to.]

Back: "...well... Mmm... uh... I think she was definitely very efficient..."

Forth: "...And had great... great execution..."

Back: "...The sub looked very happy... And cared for... Uh... so happy..."

Forth: "...Five stars, then..."

Back: "[sleepily] ...All five of them..."

[The hosts lean sleepily against the sides of their squares for a while.]

Forth: "...We should wrap up the episode..."

[Back nods, and the hosts raise their hands with great difficulty and snap their fingers. The squares vanish in clouds of magic and the hosts reappear on the stage. They both blink rapidly, still appearing a bit dazed but awake now.]

Back: "Well, uh, that was our episode! Our very special episode~!"

Forth: "We hope you enjoyed it even a fraction as much as we did~!"

Back: "And as much as all our lovely contestants~! They all did amazing work today~!"

Forth: "Especially our lovely sub~! I wouldn't be surprised if something was awakened in her today~!"

Back: "She'll have plenty of interesting ways to indulge that kink in her home universe, I bet~!"

Forth: "And of course, a wonderful thank you to all our viewers, voluntary and involuntary~!"

Back: "I bet that display made you sleepy, didn't it~? So wonderfully sleepy~..."

Forth: "In fact, your eyes are beginning to droop now~..."

Back: "Maybe you're already asleep, and this was all a dream~..."

Forth: "A dream that will seem so hazy in the morning~..."

Back: "And as you listen to our voices, you sink deeper, deeper, deeper still~..."

Forth: "Ready to be plunged into blissful trance at the snap of a finger~... In 3..."

Back: "2... Feeling all your memories of the episode become hazy~..."

Forth: "1... Knowing you'll feel such a strong urge to watch us the next time your TV flickers~..."

Hosts: "Sleep!"

[They snap their fingers simultaneously, and the TV instantly turns off.]
