“H-hey, do you wanna see a cool trick?” Ada looked up from her book, annoyed. “Not particularly, no.” The human girl across the table from her began to plead. “Pleeease! It’ll only be a minute or so!” Ada sighed, bookmarking her page. “Alright, fine. As long as it’s quick. “ As the girl began to dig through her pack, Ada softly smiled. She’d been noticing this human trying to work up the courage to talk to her for the past 30 minutes while she read. It was almost cute seeing her finally try her ‘trick'. Still a bit annoying, but the earnestness was endearing. The girl finally pulled out an ornate golden pocketwatch on a fine golden chain. She enthusiastically dangled it before Ada’s eyes. “Okay, just keep your eyes on the watch as it goes back and forth…” Ada examined the swinging watch. It was nice and shiny, with an eye-catching design all across the outside. The watchface itself was closed up, but a soft ticking still emanated from within. The swinging was gentle and rhythmic, and surprisingly steady. Ada had to admire her technique. Of course, her choice of targets was… Less adept.

“So, what’s the trick?” She said teasingly, her gaze fixed on the girl's own. They raised the watch slightly, attempting to intercept Ada's gaze. “You’ll see… Just keep staring at the watch… Back and forth…” They were speaking in a slow, quiet whisper now, trying to relax Ada, who smiled warmly and began to speak in a wispy, faux-dazed voice. “Oh yes… The watch is quite… Pretty… It’s so easy to follow the Rhythmic Swinging… To get lost in the Mesmerizing Designs… It’s so relaxing to stare at…” The girl nodded slowly. “Uh huh… Yeah…” Ada continued, her voice a soft whisper. “And the soothing ticking… Filling the mind… Leaving nothing but the watch's song and the soft, soothing voice of the woman before you… So easy to just forget about everything else and follow the watch…” The girl nodded, her eyes locked onto her own watch. “Yes… Follow the watch…” Ada stood up. “The watch is so beautiful… May I take a closer look please?” The girl seemed reluctant to stop watching it swing, but she couldn’t resist Ada's command. Ada gently took it, turning it to catch the light. “It’s truly amazing, is it not? The design seeming to move and shift as the light hits it… Driving one's mind into a pleasing trance…” The girl nodded blankly. “Yeaahhhh….” Ada opened up the watch, the watchface shining in the light. “Such a beautiful, polished timepiece… It’s so easy to just get lost in it, staring at the hands moving around and around, every second punctuated by that soft tick… tick… tick…” She held it up to the girl, and began to rotate the knob, slowly speeding up the hands. “Watch the hands swirl faster and faster… Around and around in perfect, uninterrupted circles… Like a smooth, constant spiral… Drawing your mind deeper and deeper into the watch… Drawing your mind deeper and deeper down the hypnotizing whirlpool of time until it’s like there’s no way back out… Your mind is deep within the watch now… And that means…” She suddenly closed the watch with a snap, and the girl stood up, her eyes blank and unresponsive. “…Your mind is trapped in the watch now…” She stroked the mindless girl next to her. “Now what shall I do with you? Ah, of course… Sit down… I could really use an armrest while I read.”

The girl's body was an excellent armrest. It was warm, had nice soft hair, and was easy to reposition into more convenient positions. Ada was prepared for a nice, long, quiet reading session. Except… She gazed pensively at the mindless, immobile body next to her. She had always planned on snapping her out of the trance and wiping her memory once she was done, but as she looked at the cute, blank face staring back at her, her heart softened a little. The human had clearly been enamored with her, and even though her methods were a bit… coercive, she felt bad just leaving her unthinking. And she really had no place to judge the girl on using hypnosis to achieve her desires. She looked at her book and sighed. Did she really want to relegate someone to a piece of furniture just to finish it? No, it wasn’t nearly that interesting. But, she thought as she picked up the watch, perhaps she could amuse herself a bit with the human…

She bent down next to the human's ear, speaking softly and seductively. “Your mind is still trapped in this watch, is it not?” The human's body nodded stiffly. “You cannot think, speak, or move while it is closed. But, if I were to open it, just a crack…” She slightly opened the watchcase, and the girl’s eyes immediately began to move, staring directly at it. “Now, your mind cannot escape through the crack… But look closely… You can see beautiful wisps of light, can you not? Swirling, beautiful wisps of light, gently seeping out of the watch…” The human nodded, and Ada softly chuckled to herself. “Watch them slowly float around in the air, like glittering butterflies… lazily floating left and right, looking for something… And you can see that large, beautiful one, slowly flying towards you… Reach out and touch it now…” Ada quietly giggled as the human slowly reached out their hand, caressing the empty air. “It feels so nice to touch it… Like it’s flowing throughout your body… Like it’s rejoining with you, somehow. You’re beginning to be able to think again, aren’t you?” The human nodded, a dazed smile beginning to form on her face. Ada gently closed the watch again. “Most of your mind is still trapped… But look at all the pretty wisps… They’re floating towards you now… They want to rejoin with you… They want to let you think, and speak, and move… And all you have to do is touch them.” The human wobbled around, her arms flailing wildly, attempting to touch all the imaginary wisps. She seemed so happy, in a dazed and hypnotized way, to regain the pieces of her mind. Ada smiled as she watched. She looked so adorable like this. Eventually, she stopped grabbing out for wisps, and sat down, her eyes glazed but moving, a dopey smile on her face. Ada gently rubbed her head, and whispered softly to her. “Can you think again?” The human nodded happily. “Yeah… Thinkin'…” Ada smiled warmly. “Good. Now, we can talk.”

Ada figured she’d start with the basics. “What is your name?” The girl happily murmured, “Lindy…” Ada nodded. “And why were you attempting to hypnotize me, Lindy? You can be honest.” Lindy spoke enthusiastically, slurring her words. “Because, I just found this pretty pretty golden pocketwatch, an' I wanted to use it on someone, and you were so pretty and strong and beautiful and sexy and hot and mommy and pretty, and I wanted ‘a make you my pretty girlfrien'!” Ada smiled at the unfiltered compliments. She found this human so endearing. “And was I the only person who you wanted to hypnotize?” Lindy clumsily shook her head. “No, I wanted ‘a use it on so many people, but you were first person I found that I really needed to. So pretty and-“ Ada gently shushed her. “Where did you learn your techniques?” Lindy leaned into her arm. “Movies ‘n stuff.” Ada gently stroked her hair. “Ah, yes, of course.” She began petting Lindy, letting them snuggle up into her arms. She smiled. Perhaps she would reconsider wiping her memory, and bring her home instead… As she rubbed Lindy's shoulder, the human sleepily asked, “How ‘re you so… yawn so good at hypnosis… I wanna learn that… I wanna stick peoples minds in things…” Ada paused her petting for a bit. If she was going to consider taking her home, then maybe she could reveal her true form. It was unwise to show it in public, but this place was empty aside from them. It was too small to demonstrate her true glory, but just a taste would work. She gently removed Lindy from her lap, to cute, sleepy protestations. “I can show you, Lindy. Just watch closely…” She stood in the middle of the room, and began to transform.

She grew taller and larger, becoming almost twice her previous size. Still tiny compared to her true might, but enough to make her far superior to a human. Her skin became covered in glittering crimson scales, the light reflecting around the room in a mesmerizing display. Her nails grew longer, sharper, and shinier, becoming great dark claws. A pair of majestic wings unfurled from her back, the burst of air from her flap launching her book off the table. Her face became more monstrous and reptilian, but she still kept a measure of gentleness and humanity as not to scare Lindy. Not that it would have mattered, really. The human was staring in blissful awe at the mythical beast before her. As Ada finished her transformation, she stepped towards Lindy, a large tail swinging back and forth behind her. “So, what do you think, Lindy?” She asked with a grin. Lindy responded in a soft, squeaky tone, “Ohhh… Dragon… Dragon mommy…” Ada laughed, her powerful voice echoing around the room, and gave Lindy a big hug. “Awww, I’m your mommy, huh? Do you want me to bring you back to my home and coddle you like a cute little pet?” Lindy nodded blissfully, snuggling up to Ada's arms. Ada smiled softly. She gently whispered into Lindy's ear, driving her sleepy pet further under her spell. “So, what were you planning on doing once I was your girlfriend?” Lindy yawned widely. “I was gonna… Was gonna go back to my home… I was gonna have you yaaaaawn… Have you carry me back home…” Ada gently rubbed her hair, cooing softly. “Awww, you thought I was that strong, huh? Well, that does sound like an excellent idea… Just stand still.” She scooped Lindy up, cradling her in her big, strong arms. “But do you still want to go to your home, or do you want to come to my home now?” Lindy quietly murmured her answer, barely awake. “Yourrrrr hommme…. Myroomades still there… don'like him…” Ada smiled warmly. “My home it is, then. You’ll love it there, Lindy. Just relax back into my arms, and you’ll wake up in the best place you’ve ever seen. Go to sleep now, Lindy… Sleeeeep…” She gazed into Lindy's eyes, and her eyes began pulsing with soft colors. Lindy's eyes reflected them for the three seconds she stayed awake, before she proceeded to snuggle deep within Ada's arms. Ada laughed softly, giving her new pet a soft smooch, a blissful squeak emerging from her sleeping form. Ada slowly returned to her human form, not wanting to risk her true form being seen. As she placed her book into Lindy's pack, she noticed the watch on the table. Smiling, she put it in her pocket. After all, she wouldn’t want to lose Lindy's mind, would she?
