A foolish wizard tests a powerful artifact on his kobold assistant

Some old incomplete writings. May continue it if the reception is good but right now I'm just posting it for posterity and because I love me some kobolds :P

Mex was a tiny little kobold. Absolutely pathetically small! He was so small that even other kobold’s bullied him nonstop about it!

Not helping matters was that Mex (bless his little heart) was born with the ability to use magic. Not powerful magic mind you! Mex could barely cast magic arrow without it fizzling out! But still dangerous enough that if Mex got excited enough sparks and cinders would start flying and that was not a good thing in a kobold warren with plenty of flammable and explosive materials.

And after Mex caused a cave in due to a moment of overexcitement which led not only to a massive reservoir of ore and gems to be lost but also the complete and total collapse of the elder’s quarters and the permanent loss of his shinies and treasures Mex was given two choices.

Exile or death… and after some serious consideration Mex chose exile.

Which had led to Mex’s current situation…

*Huff* *Puff* The tiny kobold was scaling the seemingly infinite number of stairs up his master’s tower carrying a heavy, thick tome of arcane spells that to a kobold as small as Mex weighed a metric ton.

His back strained! His arms ached! His legs trembled as he took each step on step at a time praying to the Gods he didn’t trip and fall because if he did it was a long way down.

After his exile Mex had wandered for a few months. His skill set was limited and not many were willing to hire a kobold as an adventurer, especially one with such unpredictable magic, but eventually a wizard took the kobold under his care. Even promising him to teach him how to control his magic if he did a good enough job!

Mex was of course too dimwitted and desperate to see he was being taken advantage of by the wizard. So the days went by and Mex spent those days doing meaningless and backbreaking chores such as cleaning the wizard’s entire tower from top to bottom and back again and of course…

Carrying these heavy tomes!

If only Mex could use the teleporters… but alas. His skill in magic was so terrible the little kobold feared if he tried he’d end up teleporting himself into the wall.

*HUFF*

*PUFF*

Finally, after an eternity of stairs and backbreaking labor the kobold reached the top floor and collapsed, his tongue flopping out as he panted like an exhausted dog.

“Ah, kobold.” A wheezy voice called out as Mex continued to groan from the weight of the books on him. “You’re here! Good!”

The top floor of the wizard Scornelius’ tower was a beautiful sight. The ceiling was a dizzying display of stars and constellations that could show that functioned as a powerful telescope that could peer into nearly every nearby star and planet the wizard wished when it came to his work of looking to the stars for guidance and prophecies.

“Yes…” Mex wheezed as he squeezed his way out from under the books. “Mex is here, yes! Yes!” He sat up and looked at the wizard eagerly. “Master teach Mex to use magic today, yes?”

The wizard looked down at the panting kobold with a mixture of annoyance and disgust as he rubbed his bead before giving the kobold a toothy grin. “Yes, Mex. Today you will be taught magic. I even prepared an experiment for the day!”

Mex’s golden eyes went wide. “Experiment? Mex?” Truth be told Mex wasn’t sure what he was talking about. His lizard brain only really heard the words “magic” and “teach” before he started jumping with joy.

“Yes…” Scornelius said as he motioned for the kobold to follow him before pointing to a bronze oil lamp resting on a soft cushion on top of his desk.

“Pick up the lamp Mex and your training will finally begin.” He said flashing the kobold a knowing smile as the kobold gasped and jumped for joy some more.

“Yes!” Mex shouted, emitting a couple of sparks in excitement as he raced over and grabbed the lamp off the desk. “Mex learn magic now!”

The lamp started to glow a bright, dangerous orange and began to emit copious amounts of violet colored smoke as the kobold approached.

Scornelius moved back with a grin on his face. The Lamp of the Sultana had been activated by the kobold and soon he would have his own personal djinn to grant any wish he desired!

And not just any kind of djinn… a goddess among djinn!

Mex gleefully grabbed the lamp. Unheeding of the obvious signs of danger from the artifact as he cackled in delight.

“Mex touch lamp!” He said proudly as he placed both of his tiny and grubby hands on the lamp. “Mex touch–URRRRK”

The billowing smoke shot into Mex’s open mouth as the kobold’s eyes went wide with complete and utter shock as he felt the smoke push past his throat and down into his stomach hitting him like a herd of stampeding horses as he fell on his knees gasping and gagging. It tasted like old incense, sulfur, and the unmistakable taste of… plums?

The kobold groaned as he fell to his knees and held his stomach as it churned violently. He felt like he was going to hurl his breakfast and second breakfast all over his master’s study. It was agony!

Meanwhile, Scornelius observed as the first changes started. Watching in curiosity as the kobold’s light colored scales started to darken as the kobold aged forward several years in rapid succession.

Aging Mex to a potential physical prime perhaps? Interesting!

Still on his knees the kobold kept gagging. His yellow eyes started to grow dull as they took on an increasingly glazed over look as the kobold panted and moaned but rose to unsteady legs as he started to feel…

Good

The kobold’s greasy tangled hair started to grow thicker as healthier and the knots of unkempt hair began to unwind and straighten out as the tattered, dull grayish blonde hair darkened into a dirty blonde perfectly coiffed mohawk that drooped over his face stylishly as he continued panting his tongue hanging out of his mouth like he was a dog stranded in the desert.

Mex grew. Going from a small (even by kobold standards) two feet even to four feet as the kobold’s features continued to grow more mature. His facial features grew softer and more sensual even as his shoulder grew more wide and his neck thickened with muscle.

**POP!**

The kobold’s back snapped audibly causing Mex to thrust his twitching chest forward with a loud (and satisfying) grunt as he started to convulse sparks flying wildly as his magic grew more and more uncontrollable.

An errant spark fell onto Scornelius’ robe and started to smoke causing the wizard to leap back and slap at his smoldering robe with a panicked yelp. “Kobold! Control yourself!” he snapped before quickly casting a few magical wards around the kobold to keep him from burning the entire tower down.

Mex didn’t respond. The kobold couldn’t respond. He was gritting his teeth and grunting louder and louder as his belly grew more toned and flat. His chest growing more defined as he gained more muscle mass. The kobold was even getting pecs!

His arms had grown from the twigs of a kobold barred from mining due to being such a liability to the arms of a dedicated miner!

His loin cloth grew tight as his waist narrowed slightly while at the same time his hips grew wider and larger. His glutes hardened as his tail stood straight up in the air completely motionless as it grew a few inches to match his growing height.

“Mrrrrrgh!” Mex grunted through clenched teeth as his eyes rolled wildly in their sockets. The changes so far had only been minor but the kobold could sense that whatever was happening was nowhere near finished…

Scornelius could feel the wards containing the kobold’s fiery outbursts starting to strain as Mex continued to grow stronger and he was starting to have a genuine fear that the kobold would burn everything in the process of his transformation…

Mex whined and squealed through his gritted teeth as even his bared teeth began to change. The yellowed and crooked teeth of the kobold began to tremble and then start to straighten as the yellowing faded away giving the kobold perfect, pearly white teeth as his eyes rolled up in their sockets and his jaw relaxed, causing his tongue to flop out and loll mindlessly

He grew more. More. More! The kobold rapidly grew from five feet to six feet… to seven feet and finally to eight feet tall.

He thrust his growing chest forward as the sounds of his bones growing, scales straining, and skin moaning erotically as stretching could now be audibly heard coming from him as his pecs grew massive. Huge thick, juicy slabs of muscle forming on his chest as they grew more defined and strong. One twitching, followed by the other as Mex whimpered, licking his mouth as the changes went to his arms yet again.

His scales groaned as his arms twitched then bulged outward with muscle. His biceps grew large and powerful as his shoulders grew wider. Within a few minutes he had arms so powerful looking that it looked like he could arm wrestle a storm giant and win without even breaking a sweat!
“Kobold!” Scornelius shouted as the flames around Mex continued to grow out of control. No sparks now! The kobold’s body was erupting in flame and smoke that was searing the ground underneath him… yet curiously not harming the kobold or his rapidly shrinking clothing. “Cease this now! Enough! You are more than powerful–Aagh!”

He tried to cast another ward to reinforce the failing one but was repelled. Sent flying backwards with a loud shrill squawk. One of Mex’s fingers twitched more out of instinct and reflex than actual coherent thought and…

POOF

Scornelius found himself hitting a soft silk purple cushion that was embroidered with gold on the edges that softened his impact from what could have potentially been a very painful collision into one that he barely even felt. Sitting up the wizard looked down at the pillow that had saved him and sighed in relief before collapsing backwards on it. It seemed that the lamp’s slave was acknowledging him as its master so at least that meant Mex wouldn’t burn the entire tower down at least.

He returned his focus to the kobold and looked on in astonishment

Mex’s stomach rolled and clenched and flexed going from the firm flatness from earlier to a well defined six pack… and then the belly trembled and twitched and–

Mex grunted loudly as two new abs flexed themselves into existence giving the currently very top heavy kobold eight powerful abs! E I G H T! Who ever heard of a kobold with an 8 pack!?

Mex was panting heavily now his body drenched in sweat as the aura of fire around him grew more intense. The flames itself didn’t seem to bother him at all but the rapid growth of muscle appeared to be utterly exhausting to the kobold as sweat came down in rivulets from his perfect chest down to his abs and pouring into his navel.

Wait? Navel!? Kobold’s didn’t have those! Scornelis thought. They were an egg laying species and a navel was completely unnecessary!

He watched the sweat pour down the navel and felt himself blushing. Y-yes… Completely unnecessary!

The kobold’s proportions were currently completely off. He was massively top heavy with a body that looked like it belonged to a dragonborn that was half giant… while the lower half, while still pretty muscular, was significantly smaller. It was actually quite funny looking.

But that was starting to change rapidly.

Mex’s legs trembled, flexed, and then exploded outward with muscle completely shredding what remained of his loincloth and sending tattered strands of clothing everywhere as his legs grew more sculpted. His thighs became massive tree trunks as his grew even more wide and feminine despite the increased muscle. His waist thinning and shrinking just a tad to make it more grabbable (if you were bold enough to grab an 8 foot tall giant of a kobold that is!) as Mex rolled his shoulders back and tossed his head back. Roaring violently as his body quaked in powerful orgasm!

The flames reacted with her growing even more violent as they grew so intense the color was shifting from a bright red to a bright orange to a very intense blue!

Scornelius yelped as he picked up his cushion and retreated even further back into the tower. The kobold was now glowing like a miniature sun as he kept roaring. Inside the flames there was a popping and his grunt was cut short by his legs twisting and reforming. No longer digitigrade but plantigrade legs as the kobold’s body became more humanoid.

New toes and fingers also appeared, giving him five flexible and nubile fingers perfect for complex tasks instead of the clumsy and somewhat awkward kobold fingers.

The flames were weakening now but one more small but very significant thing happened. Two bracelets appeared on Mex’s forearm and clamped down with a loud clink as Mex was fully bound to the lamp and to whoever the master of the lamp was.

The flames finally died down to smoldering embers as the kobold fell to his knees and groaned. Tongue hanging out as he panted and moaned and Scornelius could see that purple eye shadow had appeared on the kobold’s lidded eyes that looked absolutely amazing on him..

“Wow!” Mex said, still on his hands and knees and panting heavily. “I feel so… smart! So strong! What happened to me, master?” His voice was cultured, more feminine no longer gravelly… and most importantly he wasn’t talking in that irritating third person pidgin speak that Scornelis detested. “

Mex sat up and turned to face Scornelius and the effect was immediate. His eyes glazed over ever so slightly as his body language grew more submissive and he started wagging his tail eagerly.

Scornelius approached the giant of a kobold carefully. He knew from the reaction that Mex was accepting him as the master of the lamp but he was still feeling cautious around a creature that could easily break him in half. “Allow me to explain, Mex…”
