It had been a nice nap. And then something landed on Kaa's body.

Let's step back a little bit, though. Kaa, the python everyone knows and loves, slept, coiled around himself on a tree branch, living his life on the Island Blessed by Maui, Pomaika'i. Life in the island's jungle was an ever-present present, one of the last virgin jungles on planet earth. As a hypnotizing python, Kaa was one of the many unique animals on the island. Humans feared and respected him, even though, because of a kahuna's curse, his species could not eat humans, but it didn't stop his species from using their powers on humans and other animals.

Without warning, something landed in his bulky coils. He barked, surprised and in some pain. Whatever it was, it was heavy, but not too heavy to break some bones, but there might be some bruises, if snakes could get them. Dazed, he lifted his head to look around for whatever had done this to him. To some relief, he saw that it was Emi, a jungle girl, offspring of the famous Julie and Kainak, the jungle couple. Toned body, brown-haired, wearing a "standard-issue" jungle girl outfit, Emi laughed at Kaa's misfortune. It angered Kaa, and he shifted his bulk around to that the young woman was no longer lounging on his coils like a seat, but sitting on the branch.

"HEY!" she barked, not caring that he'd ascended to the branch above her. Emi wondered if she'd made a mistake. She'd saw the snake curled up on the branch, and thought she'd drop in to say hi, then be off. Obviously, the snake wasn't happy about it. His head descended from the branch above, and his angry facial expression told her enough.

"You... have jussssst made, a misssssstake. A big... missssstake!" he hissed, advancing on the suddenly-frightened jungle girl. Seeing her fear, he retracted his head slightly, so she could calm down a little. "I'm sssssssorry. I ssssssshouldn't do that. But thisssssss won't do! You musssssssst be punissssssshed!" He chuckled and lowered his tail. Picking her up, he hung her over the side of the branch, her head and legs dangling.

"KAA!" she shouted. "TAKE IT EASY!"

"Ssssay you're sssssorry!" he sang.

"NO!"

A span of his body descended from above, and he deposited her onto the bit of body. Adjusting his body, he made sure that she would remain on her back, lifting her legs up in the air. Then he lowered his head down.

"That sssssimply won't do," he said, teasing with his scolding, like a teacher scolding a child. It made her snarl at him. "How old are you?"

"Eighteen," she answered.

"And humanssssss ensssssure you're well-behaved by then?"

"Yeah," she answered again.

"And what do ssssssay when you missssssbehave?"

"Sorry?"

"Not assssss a quessssstion, dear," he said.

"Okay, sorry!" she said.

"You ssssssshould be sssssssorry," he said. "That hurt! But, you mussssssssst be punisssssssshed." He chuckled, rippling his body, bouncing her around. Then he lifted her up and deposited her back on the branch.

Aware of his intentions, Emi closed her eyes as Kaa stuck his face in hers, hypnotic rings emanating in his eyes. "Look me in the eyessssss, pleassssssse," he chuckled.

"C'mon, Kaa!" she laughed again, but she was tempted to open an eye. She caught a glimpse of the rings, and she almost succumbed to his hypnosis. But she closed her eyes again, then re-opened them.

This time, she failed to look away. Colored rings reflected in her eyes, filling them. She leaned forward to get a better look as Kaa chuckled. "There, that'sssssss better," he said, rolling his head to keep her eyes on his. Jaw hanging open, she kept staring at his eyes, her mind starting to slip away. Despite what might be interpreted, he'd actually hypnotized her a few times before, even as punishment, and she always enjoyed it. In fact, saying she would just drop in for a visit was slightly a lie. She wanted to visit the snake, and maybe get hypnotized. But this would work, anyways, even though he was going slow with his hypnosis. She couldn't turn away from his gaze, but she was also clear of mind enough to know that he was taking his sweet time with the rings. The result was an amazing feeling of light-headedness, but with sober enough to know what he was doing.

"Thisssssss issssssss what you geeeet!~" he sang. "Sssssay you're ssssssorry!"

"S-sorry," she gaped.

"Good girl," he said. "Look me in the eyesssss...~" Unable and unwilling to resist his suggestion, she kept her eyes on his, jaw slightly ajar. He chuckled, and lowered his tail from the upper branch, slipping it around her midriff. He tightened his grip on her, then loosened, so it could hang about her hips and he could get more coils around her. The tail climbed up her body. Still enthralled by his eyes, she didn't notice. Aside from the token resistance she put up, attempting to stay awake, she was mostly operating on autopilot. Her eyelids and head occasionally dipped, but she did her best to keep the eyes open and her head up. At one point, her eyes closed, but desire to keep staring at his eyes made her open them back up, the weight and warmth of the coils wrapping around her body so calming, beckoning her into a deep sleep in tandem with Kaa's eyes and seductive lullaby. Then he tightened again, squeezing her.

"AH!"

"Ah, ah, ah, don't clossssse your eyessssss," he said, pushing his face into hers. "You're ssssstill being punisssssshed!" He slowed the rings back down to slow pace, keeping her in between being hypnotized and not.

"Kaaaaaaaa," she groaned.

"What'ssssss that?" he asked, teasing.

"Get... on... with.... it!"

Kaa tutted. "You're not sssssupposssssed to give orderssssss!" he said. He squeezed on her again, laughing as she tried keeping her eyes open. He loosened his grip on her body a little bit so she could breathe, but kept it tight enough to keep her on the branch. "How ssssssorry are you?"

"V-very sorry!" she replied.

"That'ssssss good to know," he said. "It'ssssss not niccccccce to drop in on sssssssomeone like that. They might get hurt, don't you agree?" He nodded his head so she could nod along. "Are you going to do that again?" He shook his head so she could shake her head. "Do you ssssstill want to be hypnotizsssssed?"

"Yes," she answered.

"That'ssssssss what I like to hear," he said, and continued the hypnosis. The tail loosened, and resumed its climb. Kaa swung his head around, making her follow. Emi was back on autopilot, enthralled by the snake's hypnosis. Another squeeze, but just to adjust his tail, and she sighed. Now she could sit back and enjoy the colored rings entrancing her, making her want to obey Kaa's suggestions.

Kaa was satisfied, knowing the young woman had apparently learned her lesson, and that she was cooperating and enjoying his hypnosis. He certainly wouldn't have done this if they weren't already friends, and she hadn't given him permission to hypnotize her on his whims. However, he also suspected that she did come to him to be hypnotized, and for that, he was happy. Also, he wasn't too hurt, so there's that. He loosened and tightened his tail as he passed over the two bumps on her chest that human females had, squeezing again. Then he resumed.

"Take a resssssst, take a ressssssst, let yourssssself go, and let me do the resssssssst," he sang. "You can sssssssleep, ssssssafe and ssssssssound, knowing Iiiiii... am arouuuunnnnddd..."

Emi was feeling closer and closer to falling under his spell, his song a warm, inviting beacon, like how she felt with his smooth body completely surrounding her, hugging her, keeping her safe. She wasn't even thinking any more, just watching Kaa's hypnotic rings emanating, entranced, slipping deeper and deeper into blissful nothingness. But the only thoughts in her head was her desire to stare at his beautiful eyes. Then she felt his tail tighten around her neck. She gasped, but didn't fall under. He'd squeezed her neck, but not in a way to cut off her air supply, but to keep her staring at his eyes for a few more seconds. Then, he loosened his tail, and she fell deeply under his spell.

Kaa deactivated the rings in his eyes and took a "step" back to admire the handiwork of his catch. She was completely and totally under his spell, a silly grin plastered on her lips.  Maybe next time, she'll think before dropping in on him like that. She might've learned her lesson, though.  "Now, punissssshment assssside, did you enjoy the hypnossssisssss?" he asked softly.

"Yes, Kaa," she answered.

"Now, don't asssssume I'll reward you for bad behavior again," he said. "Do you undersssssstand?"

"I understand," she replied.

"Why did you do that?"

"Because I wanted to drop in on you," she answered, "And because I wanted to be hypnotized."

"Well," he chuckled, "I appreccciate the vissssssit, and you're welcome for the lovely hypnossssissss. But pleassssssse, next time, don't drop in on me."

"Okay," she said.

"Now then, let'ssssss get the fun ssssssstarted."
