The Unicorn

Author's Note: This was originally meant to be a 4000-5000 word one-shot story that quickly expanded beyond my intention. I've decided to keep it as a single chapter as per my original intention but I have seperated it into parts to make things easier for readers to find a specific point in the story if they leave and come back.
Part One: The Horn
Constructs always do as they’re programmed, I told myself as I scrubbed over the ancient runes with my own. The effect was immediate and the colossus suddenly swung its massive arm at Bellatrix. Its sudden movement had the side effect of throwing me off its back onto the ground next to a surprisingly intact Bellatrix and the crushed remains of her lyre.
“As soon as we’re done, you’re building me a new one of those,” Bellatrix said before pulling out a flute. While the demonborn girl could cast her magic with either instrument, she preferred to be able to mock her enemies while fighting them. A shadow with no source grew and reformed itself into the shape of the shadowthief Dreya.

A shadow with no source grew and reformed itself into the shape of the shadowthief Dreya.
“Or you could not, and we’d have to suffer less of her voice” Dreya whispered to me as Bellatrix ran off invigorating the rest of our party with her arcane melodies.
“Is that the real you?” I asked sarcastically. She ignored my question, instead watching our dwarven companion Durgan try to cut into the colossus’s stone feet with his axe. It wasn’t going very well.
“Have you learned anything of its mechanism, Thalenya?” Dreya asked, eyes unmoving from the scene. She was clearly scanning it, looking for weaknesses. The fact that she wasn’t suggesting a strategy meant she hadn’t thought of one.
“It’s a fourth era colossus–” As I said this, Dreya’s eyebrows raised.
“No… it’s not. Look at the posture. A Dark-Elven imitation of a fourth era colossus. Even when imitating a lumbering hulk, my people are graceful in all things.” She smirked.
Huh, a facial reaction, I guess this is the real Dreya. I thought to myself for a bit. “If that’s the case, I think a Dark-Elven glyph of separation put in the right place would disable it, but my knowledge of your people’s language is lacking.” Dreya sighed and began writing out the necessary words in the sand with her dagger.

“You should really learn more about our people, cousin,” she said as she flicked my pointed ear. “It comes in handy from time to time.” She finished writing the phrase I would need to engrave in the glyph. Durgan was holding onto his axe for dear life. The colossus was swinging its arm wildly, trying to dislodge what it perceived to be a thorn embedded in its hand.
As I scribed the glyph, I watched Bellatrix try and fail to soothe the construct that was likely to slam Durgan into a palm tree. Suddenly, an idea popped into my head. I stopped what I was doing and called out to my faithful companion.
“Sparklebright!” I yelled at the top of my lungs. Dreya audibly sighed.
“Sparklebright!” I yelled at the top of my lungs. Dreya audibly sighed.
A mile away at our camp, my perfect creation came to life upon hearing my voice. It was a construct designed based on ancient carvings of the long extinct unicorn. A creature venerated by my people, the Light-Elves. Unlike the real thing, it had a body of metal and its horn and mane glowed with all perceiveable colors. In just over two minutes, Sparklebright was here.
I mounted the unicorn and began scribing the glyph into its mane. Sparklebright’s rainbow mane was not only beautiful, but also served the purpose of a rune and glyph matrix. Once I was done, both the mane and the horn both began pulsing a soft cyan. I saw Durgan and his axe fly into the air and Bellatrix played a melody that would hopefully help him land safely.
Dreya shuddered, “That thing is so unnatural” why do you insist on using it?” I hopped down from Sparklebright’s back as he galloped towards the colossus. Bellatrix stopped playing her flute and started cheering for my unicorn. The cyan light became blinding for a split second and the colossus fell over.
“Because it’s unstoppable once it’s been properly programmed,” I said to Dreya as we made our way to the tomb that the imitation fourth-era colossus could no longer guard.
“Because it’s unstoppable once it’s been properly programmed,” I said to Dreya as we made our way to the tomb that the imitation fourth-era colossus could no longer guard.
After the colossus, the remaining tomb’s defenses were pitifully easy to overcome. My knowledge of mechanics and Dreya’s lockpicking made short work of the gates and traps that lay within. At one point we found a closed door with no lock or mechanism. I pointed Durgan to the door, he was all too happy to finally break something. Bellatrix improvised a song called ‘Durgan the Destroyer’ and that only encouraged him as he began joyfully smashing random statues and sconces as we made our way deeper into the tomb.
Dreya had been right of course, the colossus was Dark Elven made and the proof was in the tomb. Ten-thousand year old imagery decorated the walls with depictions of Dreya’s people forcing mine into subservience. This act was not unique to her people, in the elven wars that happened millennia ago, forced servitude was a common practice.
The depictions showed Dark Elves not only binding their captives, but casting long forgotten spells to make my people into their willing slaves. Dreya sensed my tension and put her hand on my shoulder.
“It’s ok cousin, our peoples’ violent history is behind us. The world is better for our unification. Now, let’s see if there’s anything in my ancestor’s tomb that can benefit both our pockets.” I could feel the sarcasm dripping off her words as she called me cousin.
Dreya was right of course. After eons of war, a final treaty had been reached and all of the intelligent races were now part of the Grand Unified Kingdom. The inaugural Unified Association of Wizards had magically erased the spells of subjugation from all knowledge and there was relative peace in the world. This knowledge didn’t calm me when I saw the final depiction before the tomb.
It was a unicorn with black fur and a glowing horn of gold. In all of my studies I had only seen them depicted in Light-Elven works. Dreya seemed equally surprised.

“Bellatrix, have you heard any stories of the Dark-Elves having black unicorns?” I asked our lorekeeper. Bellatrix pulled out a book with gold Light and Dark-Elven runes on the cover and began flipping through it.
“No… in fact according to Sage Seraph’s writings, a point of conflict in the elven wars was that the Dark-Elves were endlessly trying, and failing, to capture or corrupt unicorns.” I noticed Dreya smirk when Bellatrix said failing. Bellatrix flipped a few more pages. “I don’t recall ever reading confirmation that they always failed, but I feel like if they had corrupted a unicorn that somebody would’ve written about it”
Durgan held up his axe to the final door. “If the Dark-Elves did secretly corrupt a unicorn eight-thousand years ago, would that mean I can’t smash this door?” Bellatrix smiled and shook her head as she closed her book. We all took a step back, and Durgan “opened” the last door.
We stepped over the rubble Durgan had so joyously created, and we found ourselves in the sarcophagus chamber. As per Dark-Elven burial traditions we knew the gold they would take into their next life was buried under the sarcophagus. Durgan and Sparklebright pushed the stone coffin aside and began digging into the soft ground under it. I walked over to the sarcophagus. Bellatrix, with a grace that would always exceed my natural gifts, twirled herself around the others to join me.
“What’re you thinking Thal?” she whispered as we both looked at the sarcophagus. Then she saw the depiction on the lid. A Dark-Elf high priestess standing beside the black unicorn. Dozens of Light-Elves were in chains, yet they were not sad. They looked ecstatic.
“I think I want to know about the black unicorn,” I said as I gazed at Sparklebright. Durgan had him using his horn as a pickaxe as he shoveled. With a powerful shove, I pushed the lid off the sarcophagus and looked inside. I saw a tall slender skeleton draped in the tattered remains of a high priestess's vestments. Her hands were crossed over her chest and clutching a golden unicorn horn.
I had taken it before I even realized it. It was heavier than I expected. I had never seen Bellatrix open her eyes so wide. Although, her expression did match the one I imagined from her story of bedding a half-giant.

“Th- That’s a r-r-real…” I had never seen the bard at a loss for words.
“Yeah,” I swallowed, “It’s a real unicorn horn. It’s not ‘pure of white’ like the legends, but it's real.” I put the horn into my backpack and closed the lid. I suddenly looked over at Dreya. Her gaze was locked on me. We made eye contact, just long enough for me to know she was watching. Then she turned back to Durgan’s mining operation.
The dwarf popped out of the hole holding a handful of gold coins.

“First round of drinks are on me!” he bellowed, “assuming of course, Thalenya joins us for once.” The group turned and looked at me. I had my doubts that my presence would affect how many free drinks Durgan gave out. As much as I wanted to start researching the horn immediately, I couldn’t deny this was a victory worth celebrating.
“S-sure,” I managed to slip out, “I can have a drink or two–” Bellatrix jumped in the air.

“Finally! The whole gang’s gonna celebrate together!” My demonborn friend threw her arm around my shoulder. “Maybe I’ll even find you a guy so you can really celebrate.” I sighed, and Sparklebright followed us out of the tomb, dragging behind him the chest of gold.

I don’t like loud places, and the tavern was loud. I didn’t mind Durgan’s roar as he beat several other dwarves (and one very misguided human) in a drinking contest. That was just a good man having fun. I didn’t mind the music that Bellatrix was dancing to. That was art which brought out Bellatrix’s beauty.
What I really hated was the overwhelming talking. Words disconnected in the mess of sound. I always feel like someone is talking to me, but when I turn they’re talking to their actual friends. I held my knees up to my chest, and sipped on the glass of wine Bellatrix had picked out for me.
I was idly watching Dreya pickpocket a pickpocket, as Bellatrix and two handsome elves walked up to my table. I peeked around them to see Dreya put the coins back into the waitress’s pocket with neither the pickpocket nor the waitress any wiser. A handsome Light-Elven face suddenly filled my view.
“Thalenya? Your friend Bellatrix won’t stop telling us stories about you.” My eyes darted from Dreya to Bellatrix, never taking the time to even focus on the elf. Bellatrix, wrapped in the arms of the Dark-Elf, was chugging down her wine like it was ale.
“Only true things Thal, I swear!” she coughed out in between gulps. I couldn’t help but smile. If it was anyone else I would assume they were playing a trick on me, but with Bellatrix I knew better. She thought I had a shot with this guy and was sincerely trying to do me a favor. I gave Bell a shy smile, and turned back to the elf and tried my best to make polite conversation.
He introduced himself as Edillian. He was handsome and charming. Though his smile exuded far too much confidence for my comfort.
“So I hear you ride a unicorn, you into cute things I guess?” He emphasized the word “ride” like it was some kind of sex joke.
Is he making fun of me? Probably. Just play it off and show how smart you are.
“No, I wouldn’t say I ride him, he’s more of a companion that I built–” he interrupted me

“No, I wouldn’t say I ride him, he’s more of a companion that I built–” he interrupted me
“You built a unicorn? That’s awesome! When I lived with my grandpa he and I used to build…”
I sipped my drink as he went on and on about his life. After about ten minutes my cup was empty. I wanted to get up to get another, but I didn’t want to be rude. I vaguely nodded as he transitioned from growing up with his grandpa to learning magic from his uncle. He seemed determined to tell me his entire life story.
Of course he does, what’s the alternative? Get to know me? Bellatrix already told him the one interesting thing about me, of course he doesn’t want to know more.

As he talked, he slowly slid his chair closer and closer to me as if I wouldn’t notice the sound of it scraping against the floor. After explaining the next hundred years of his life, he was sitting right next to me. He lightly placed his hand on my leg.
Does it even matter if he cares about me or not? This is just a hookup isn’t it? It’s not supposed to be personal. This is supposed to be natural. So why does it still feel so wrong?
I looked over at Bellatrix, dancing with her Dark-Elf boy. Across the dance floor, it looked like even Dreya found a Dark-Elf girl to dance with, a tall graceful woman with silver tattoos. I couldn’t help but be happy for her. As I watched, Edillian started moving his face closer and closer to mine.
“You know, you’re really pretty,” he said as he lightly squeezed my thigh. “I’ve got a room upstairs, if you’d like some alone time.”
There it is. He doesn’t think I’m pretty. No one does. He’s just saying what he thinks I want to hear so he can get in my pants. Still… if Bellatrix thinks I should go for it…
I didn’t say anything. I tried just leaning in to kiss him. He responded passionately. It felt like he was trying to eat my mouth with his lips. I tried to do the same back to him but it just felt awkward. His hand moved from my thigh up to my breast. It felt so wrong to let him touch me there. I couldn’t help but pull away.
My face felt so hot, I was sure it must be burning red. He leaned back confused.
“S-sorry. You’re nice, but I don’t think…” I couldn’t even figure out what to say. He waited for what felt like a whole minute. Eventually he said something.
“S-sorry. You’re nice, but I don’t think…” I couldn’t even figure out what to say. He waited for what felt like a whole minute. Eventually he said something.
“You know what, it’s alright. I get it, your friend probably just dragged you here. I don’t want to mess up your night or anything.” He was smiling as he said it. I couldn’t read that smile at all.
Is he being kind, or did he just realize how awful I am?
“I’ll see you later, Thayla,” he said as he walked back to the dance floor. He didn’t even remember my name.
Of course not, people only remember the names of people worth remembering.

I sat there frozen, trying to push the unwanted thoughts away. Trying to tell myself he did try, and that it was just an honest mistake that anyone could make. I turned and watched all of my friends having fun. I wished so badly I could be like them. I held back my tears just long enough to run out of the tavern. As soon as I was out the door, they began to flow.
A minute later, Bellatrix came running after me. I wiped the tears away so she wouldn’t see.
A minute later, Bellatrix came running after me. I wiped the tears away so she wouldn’t see.
“What’s wrong honey? He seemed really into you!” The concern on her face was genuine, but she didn’t understand. We were just too different. She loved hookup sex. I was a 722 year old virgin elf because I never felt comfortable enough with someone to let them hold me.
Honestly, Bellatrix was the only one I could imagine myself feeling that way towards, but I knew that our personalities really only worked as friends. Bellatrix had told me enough times she couldn’t see herself tied down. Even though I knew she would probably try, I didn’t want her to prioritize my happiness over hers.
“It’s just not for me Bell,” I said looking up at her with misty eyes. “Hookup sex, I’m glad you have fun with it, but I just can’t. Please stop pushing me.” I didn’t mean for it to come out that way. I could see her gaze slink to the floor in embarrassment. We were silent for a long time. Finally, she took a breath and looked back up to me.

“I’m so sorry Thal, I just thought it’d be nice. I’ll stop, I promise.” She looked apprehensive and then slowly started digging around in her purse. She smiled, and handed me a scroll that was folded and not rolled.
“I got this for myself, an impulse buy, but I think you might have more use for it.” Her voice was soft and uncertain, she was clearly worried this might upset me more. “If you don’t want it, I’ll take it back but if you’re more into… solitary pleasure, you can still celebrate tonight.”
I knew what this was, but I still unfolded the scroll to confirm. It was a spell that would conjure a phallus the perfect size and shape for the caster’s self-pleasure. Though to my surprise, it was much higher level than any I’d ever seen before. Bellatrix must have spent her entire share on this. I managed a laugh and gave her a hug. Even when she was embarrassing herself, she was a good friend. I had to let her know she was ok.
“You know, he was actually really nice,” I lied. He wasn’t nice, he spent almost an hour holding me hostage in that conversation. At the same time, I don’t think he meant to be mean either. He was just acting like normal people did. He did everything right and honestly, the fact that he backed off when I was uncomfortable was all the more reason he deserved to get laid.
“After you’re done with the Dark-Elf, bed the Light-Elf and I’ll sew the strings of their undergarments into your new lyre.” I joked. Bellatrix’s eyes narrowed in seriousness as she gave me her beautiful wicked smile.
“I think I’ll save myself some time and just have a threesome.” She casually waved and blew a kiss as she turned and walked into the bar. If there was anyone who could bring a Dark-Elf and Light-Elf together in a threesome, I knew it was her.

My home was much more workshop than home. A horde of tools and possibly useful objects were scattered all over. I had no organizational system besides that I could see where everything was, even if that meant it was spread out everywhere. In the center of the room were five worktables each with a different project half-finished. In the corner was my bed with just a single pillow and blanket.
Sparklebright knelt in a magic circle in the other corner, his mane and horn were dark but the circle was glowing. I thought of activating him and feeling the comfort of another presence, even if it was artificial. I decided I didn’t want him to see what I was about to do.
I went to the worktable with the least-interesting project. An elven-steel ingot I was attempting to reforge into an axe without losing any of its magical properties. When I thought about it however, I knew Durgan would never trade in his dwarven axe for mine, even if it was an improvement in literally every way.
I swept everything off the table, the loud clashing of it on the floor would make Durgan happier than an elven axe ever would, and I laid out the scroll Bellatrix gave me. It was simple enough to realign the runes and glyphs with ones that described my own body. I cast the spell, and suddenly I had a marble-white phallus on the table. It wasn’t shaped exactly like an elven cock; it was much better. It had seven ridges that I knew I would become intimately acquainted with as I made love to the toy. It was warmer than I expected when I picked it up. Not room temperature like the ones I was used to, Bellatrix had gotten a high-level scroll.
I took the phallus to my bed and slowly took off my clothes. Folding them and placing them into a small magic circle which glowed as it cleaned and renewed the threading on my clothes. I laid down on my bed and looked at the gift Bellatrix gave me.
I stared at it for a long time. My heart longed even more than my womanhood. I licked my fingers and began slowly sliding them up and down across my opening. Teasing out the wetness that would allow me to fully enjoy Bellatrix’s gift.
I pulled my hand back to take a look and saw my fingers dripping. Thinking about Bellatrix had gotten me worked up faster than usual. I positioned the phallus at my opening and began pressing it in.
Bellatrix certainly got her money’s worth from this scroll, it was the exact perfect size and shape for self-pleasure. It was easily the best phallus I had ever used. It stretched me right to the point where I was afraid it would hurt, but then went no further. Ridge after ridge slipped inside me until I felt like the pleasure would be overwhelming, but then I realized it was all the way inside me. I began sliding it out and felt the new pleasure of the ridges pulling out of me one at a time.
I had completed one thrust and pulled the phallus out to look at it. It was glistening with my fluids. This was good, but it wasn’t what I needed. I thought of Bellatrix again. I imagined her sliding the toy in and out of me while teasing my nipples and whispering softly into my ear. She would tell me I could just lie back and relax and let her take care of everything.
My gaze passed from the phallus to Sparklebright, still sleeping as he recharged. Maybe I did have someone who could take care of me…

Attaching the phallus to Sparklebright was easy. However, it took a few tries to get the angle right. He wasn’t designed for this and it’s not like any of my engineer’s books had an anatomic picture of an aroused horse for reference. Sparklebright and his new… attachment were smaller than a real horse anyway so that would probably change things even if I had the reference.
I quickly realized there was no good way to do this while I was lying on my back. Unless I wanted to build a specific bench so I could lie under him, it seemed much easier to have him take me from behind. Though that meant I couldn’t see what I was doing. It took seven attempts, but I finally got the angle perfect.
I bent over on my bed. My head was as low as I could press it into my bed. My rear was as high as I could raise it. This allowed the angle of my body to meet the angle of his perfectly. His tip was pressed perfectly against my entrance, not too high or too low, and definitely pointed at the right hole this time.

With this final adjustment, he could stay on all four legs while still thrusting into me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a mirror I had stashed behind my bed at one point. I could see myself bent over, using all of my flexibility to offer myself to a machine. There was something about seeing a pretty elf girl relying on a machine for pleasure. Especially knowing she could’ve been with a handsome guy instead. Any doubt I had of engineering determination supplanting my arousal was gone. I looked hot in a way I never imagined I could.
I reached back and rubbed myself while looking at the image. Even though I was definitely aroused, my womanhood had dried while I worked on adjusting Sparklebright. I wanted to make sure everything was nice and slippery. While I would stop right away if the phallus caught a dry spot, Sparklebright wouldn’t.
Already dry, maybe I don’t really appreciate Bellatrix’s gift
I told my unwanted thoughts to shut up as my other hand began flicking my nipple. I wouldn’t let anything interrupt my enjoyment of Bell’s gift. In the mirror, I saw the pretty elf touch herself in front of the machine, preparing her body for its pleasure. I was ready again in no time.
“Sparklebright, thrust slowly,” I said with more confidence in my voice than I expected.
I was 722 years old. My only experiences in those seven centuries were with my own hands or toys that my own hands were in full control of. This was the first time in my life that an external force would give me pleasure. It was so different, so amazing. While I still couldn’t imagine the elf from the bar doing this to me, I felt like I understood Bellatrix a bit better now.
His phallus… no his cock was perfect. This shouldn’t have been a surprise, that was the point of the scroll. Still, feeling it move back and forth on its own… feeling the cool metal of Sparklebright’s metal limbs press against my thighs with every thrust… I felt like I was finally more than myself. Connected to something, someone. I finally felt like I understood. Then I looked in the mirror.
Just a sad little elf girl getting off with her toy unicorn… I’m so pathetic
It felt like my subconscious was making fun of me. I did my best to push the unwanted thoughts away. This was a present, I had to enjoy myself. I didn’t want Bell’s gift to be in vain. I looked back at the mirror. Goddess, I did look pathetic.

Bellatrix wasted this phallus on me. She should’ve enjoyed it herself. She wouldn’t need a construct to use it. One or both of those handsome elves surely would be happy to do this to her
I couldn’t push the thoughts away. I felt my womanhood begin to ache from the friction as I dried. I slowly slid off the phallus, choosing to end my pleasure just to appease my own thoughts. I wished I could just escape from my own mind and enjoy things like a normal person for once. Sparklebright didn’t seem to care, he just stood there waiting for his next order.
As I lay in bed looking at him, I couldn’t help but think of the carvings in the tomb. The Light-Elves kneeling in magical subjugation to their Dark-Elf masters. I started imagining myself kneeling in front of Dreya, dressed up like the high-priestess. She would casually point down and I would eagerly pleasure her with my tongue. More eagerly than I usually imagined pleasing Bellatrix.
I’ve never felt attracted to Dreya like I do Bellatrix, but that’s not what made this fantasy arousing. Under the subjugation spell, I would be able to escape my own head. I would be able to experience pleasure the way sentient creatures were supposed to. Just tightening those loose thoughts so they would no longer interfere. My womanhood ached as I considered this fantasy. The fantasy of being able to enjoy sex. I slowly started touching myself, and my own wetness surprised me. My orgasm came so much quicker than usual.

I moaned, I shook with pleasure, and I heard a clank as something heavy fell out of my bag. Shaken free by my orgasm I suppose. I saw the golden unicorn horn on the floor. Under the magical lights of my workshop, I saw something I hadn’t noticed before. There were runes inscribed in the horn. I couldn’t read all of them, they were written in the Dark-Elf language. I did recognize the first one however. It was the word that had forced my people into devoted slavery.
Subjugation

Hours after my discovery, Bellatrix opened the door to my workshop and the sunlight bled in. My exhausted eyes flinched from it and I hid my naked form behind the desk I was working in.
Hours after my discovery, Bellatrix opened the door to my workshop and the sunlight bled in. My exhausted eyes flinched from it and I hid my naked form behind the desk I was working in.
“Hey…” she saw my naked form hiding behind the table. “Sorry, you didn’t answer and I thought you might still be asleep…” The pause was uncomfortably long. I desperately wished this wasn’t how she saw me naked for the first time. “I’ll let you get dressed.” She stepped outside and closed the door.
I sprang over to grab my clothes. As I dressed, my hand drew familiar symbols in the air that cleaned my body and my bed. Demonborn were notoriously good at noticing the trace scent of lust. If Bellatrix hadn’t already smelled me, I wanted to do what I could so she wouldn’t. As I finished tying off my dress I called out for her to come back in.
Bellatrix slowly opened the door again. She cautiously walked in as if afraid I’d still be naked. She sniffed the air a few times. She made a face like the scent was both familiar and new at the same time.
“So… I take it you enjoyed my present?” Her eyes drifted to Sparklebright, now deactivated in his magic circle. I realized in horror that I never cleaned him nor did I detach the phallus. Was her sense of smell so strong she could tell the smell was coming from him? I held my breath as Bellatrix’s eyes shifted back and forth from me to Sparklebright and a smile slowly formed on her lips. She definitely saw what I did with the phallus.
“Well, everyone else is grabbing breakfast and I thought you might want to join us.” I finally exhaled as Bellatrix changed the subject.
Bellatrix is so wonderfully kind. She definitely deserves someone better than me.
“Y-yeah. That sounds good,” I said as I started to put on my shoes. I did my best to stay in the moment and ignore my unwanted thoughts. Bellatrix wandered over to where I was sitting, and glanced down at my work.
“Researching that horn?” she asked, “What’s with the Dark-Elf dictionary?” I looked at the horn and saw that the runes were now once again obscured by the sunlight. I wanted to tell her that I’d made the discovery of a lifetime. That whether pure or corrupted, the unyielding nature of a unicorn’s horn meant it was unchanged by external magic. So when the subjugation spells were magically erased from every book, journal, or scroll they were ever written in, they survived in this.
I had almost finished translating the low-level version of the spell. The medium-level version would take significantly more time. I didn’t know why the high-level version was missing, but even the low and medium-level versions were a groundbreaking discovery.

I didn’t tell her that though. Bellatrix was a good person, and she would insist we destroy it. Or bury it somewhere no one could find it. Leave the forbidden knowledge as forbidden.
She’d be right of course. I was selfish for even attempting this.
I did my best to push my unwanted thoughts down again. I knew I wasn’t going to use the spell to subjugate a group of people like the Dark-Elves did, I just wanted a chance to be happy. I tried to strengthen my resolve. I told myself that no one, not even Bellatrix nor my own thoughts, would take away my chance for happiness.
“The dictionary was left out from another project, let’s go get breakfast.” It felt fundamentally wrong to lie to Bell like this, but the fear I felt of losing this opportunity overwhelmed my morals. As we left, Bellatrix sniffed the air one more time before looking at me. She leaned close and whispered,

Part Two: Research and Testing
Dreya carried me back home after I fell asleep eating breakfast. I’m sure Bellatrix would have, but children had been pestering her throughout breakfast to tell them stories and I don’t think she had the heart to leave.
As we got to the door, I blearily dug through my pockets for my keys. Dreya got tired of waiting and just as I pulled out the key, I saw her removing her lockpick from my now unlocked door. I laughed. I laughed in that stupid way you only do after staying up all night, and I couldn’t stop laughing as Dreya walked with me to bed. She smiled as I got under my blanket.
“What did you spend all night doing that got you so exhausted?” I knew I couldn't tell Bellatrix, but maybe I could tell Dreya. She was far more pragmatic, and I doubted she would ask me to turn away from such powerful knowledge.
“Can you keep a secret?” Dreya blinked a couple times. It was clear she wasn’t expecting me to ask that.
“Of course. Though, it’s hard to imagine who you would want a secret kept from,” she said as she looked around my disaster of a workshop, “It seems like you keep everything out in the open.”
Classic Dreya, always finding new ways to make fun of me… I bet Bellatrix also thought I was a slob. The difference is Bellatrix is nice enough not to say it out loud
I ignored the thoughts and pointed at the closest worktable. The one with the horn. Dreya walked over, glancing at the horn. Her eyes slowly glazed over my notes and suddenly, she grabbed them.
“You’ve discovered the subjugation spells?” she shouted in disbelief, causing my weary form to jolt upright and awake. My first attempt at speech turned into a yawn, but after that I was able to talk normally.
“Yes, they were hidden on the horn. I guess preserved from erasure by the unicorn’s power. The high-level one is missing but the other two are still there.” Dreya’s eyes were scanning all my notes as I explained. I dozed off again as she continued reading my notes. Before too long, I had slumped back into bed.
I woke up a few hours later and Dreya was still in my workshop, staring at the horn and writing furiously. She seemed completely engrossed, so I took my time climbing out of bed. As soon as I stood up and the floor creaked, her head jerked to look at me.

“I originally was just going to confirm it, but you’re absolutely right. These are two of the three forbidden subjugation spells.” She paused, still in disbelief over the discovery. “I don’t understand magic like you do Thalenya, but I’ve translated the rest so you can work out the spells.” I looked at her notes. Though the necessary calculations still needed to be completed, Dreya had done an amazing job translating the Dark-Elven script that I had been struggling to decipher.
“Dreya… you approve of me doing this?” I was so stunned it was hard to even find the right words. “You don’t think it’s dangerous?” Dreya didn’t smile, but there was kindness in her expression that I wasn’t used to.

“Cousin, I would not trust Durgan, or Bellatrix, or even myself with this power. Unlike the three of us though, you are a good soul through and through. I think having access to this spell could be immensely useful to us and if you’re the one casting it, I trust we’ll be safe.” My inner thoughts were quiet. She was so obviously sincere that not even they would doubt her. I couldn’t help but smile at the compliment.
“You’re awfully trusting for a thief,” I teased. She ignored my tone and responded seriously.
“No, I’m not, but I am a good judge of character. If you’ve had enough rest, why don’t we get to work, cousin.” For the first time, I realized she didn’t sound sarcastic when she said cousin. I began to think maybe she never had. Maybe Dreya didn’t see me the way I always imagined she did. I thought back to when I took the horn. I thought Dreya had been judging me, but maybe she was just keeping an eye on someone she was worried about. I idly wondered if she genuinely saw us as family. Was cousin actually a term of endearment?
I took up the now fully translated notes on the first subjugation spell, sat down at another workbench, and began calculating the runes.
* * *
* * *
Two hours was all it took for both of us to finish our projects. I had compiled the runes from the low-level spell into a castable form, and Dreya had completely finished translating the Dark-Elven medium-level spell into a form where I could begin compiling the runes.
“We have to test it now, right?” Dreya asked, slowly enunciating each syllable, almost as if she was afraid.
There’s no actual reason I need to test it. What is it my teachers used to say? ‘Knowledge is its own reward.
I knew I didn’t believe that. Hells, Dreya told me to learn the spells so that we could use them. I met her gaze, and nodded my agreement. She swallowed, and then forced a smile.
“Whelp, I can’t cast spells. So I guess that makes me the test dummy.” She took a long slow breath. “Good thing I trust you,” Dreya said with genuine sincerity as she walked before me and closed her eyes. “Do enough to test that it works. I’ll try my best to resist what you do. Oh and uh…” This was the first time in my life I heard her stutter. “Don’t make me do anything weird ok?”. She winked like it was a joke, but the way she clenched her jaw gave away how afraid she really was.
Goddess, she really did trust me as family. I looked down at the notes and focused myself. I went over the entire incantation and rune order several times. I would not mess this up.

“Your eyes need to be open, Dreya. The spell travels to the mind through the optical nerve–”
Obviously, she doesn’t care about the fine details. I need to shut up before she realizes how annoying I am.
I stopped myself, relieved that Dreya hadn’t left. She just nodded and opened her eyes, looking directly into mine.
Despite it being the low-level version, the spell was complicated. It took several attempts before I realized that some, but not all, of the energy had to be inverted. I held out my hand and an orb of light finally appeared. It began rapidly flashing colors, some of which I feel like I’d never seen before. The orb itself felt strangely cold, as if it was absorbing heat instead of emitting it as most spells do. All I could see was the flash of light against the wall, but Dreya stared intently into the spell’s core.
Dreya fell to her knees with a painful THUMP, if she felt pain, her body betrayed no reaction. She looked up at me the same way I’ve seen clerics look up at altars to their gods. Her eyes began to swirl with all the colors and non-colors of the spell. Her mouth calmly spoke:

“I will do anything for Thalenya. Please command me Mistress.”
This was trying her best to resist? This was trying her best to resist the low-level version?
It occurred to me that not just the highest-level but all three versions were erased from all knowledge for a reason. This spell was as powerful as any I’d seen. I tried issuing a mental command.
Stand up.
Dreya didn’t respond. It looks like mental commands were limited to the medium and high-level versions of the spell.

“Stand up,” I said out loud with a forced confidence in my voice. Again, if Dreya was resisting, I couldn’t tell as an outside observer. Dreya stood at attention. I could see the light gray bruises already starting to form on her knees.
“Describe the experience of being subjugated.” I had to know what this was like. I had to know if my plan would work. If Dreya asked, I would chalk this question up to research. That is, assuming she could even remember what was happening.

“It feels like bliss has overtaken my body just by being in your presence. I originally did try to resist your command, but failure just feels so good. I’ve already given up resisting because it is such a joy to obey your commands, Mistress.”
The way she intoned each word was surreal. As if instead of talking, the spell was forcing her mouth to contort to different shapes so it could make the correct noise. The more Dreya spoke however, the more natural her speech started to become. As if her body was growing accustomed to being controlled.
“Do you feel any doubt Dreya?” This was the big question. I had to know if I would finally be able to quiet the treacherous thoughts that plagued my mind. As she answered, her intonation began to take a higher pitch. Her voice lifted into a whine as if she couldn’t hide the joy of obedience from her voice.
“As long as I obey you, there is nothing to doubt. My mind is quiet, I have purpose.”
To my surprise, I felt myself getting aroused at these words. Like an energy was blooming inside my body, and I was aching to be filled. This was really happening. I had this power. If I wanted, I could lie back and let Dreya pleasure me with the phallus like I imagined Bellatrix doing. The thought was so tempting…
Dreya stood at attention staring at me with those beautiful glowing eyes, her smile seemed fake, like it was painted on. She was just like a wooden doll. All mine to play with.
The shifting lights from the spell made it hard to tell if it was just a shadow, or if a tiny damp spot was actually forming on the crotch of her pants. For a few seconds, the temptation to take advantage of her seemed irresistible. I began to fantasize about her licking me, telling me how wonderful it was to serve me. She would say she wanted to serve me forever. I realized I wouldn’t have to feel embarrassed around her like this. She couldn’t judge me so the unwanted thoughts would finally leave me alone. It would be no different than using the phallus Bellatrix gave me.
It was Dreya’s own words, however, that saved me. My unwanted thoughts actually doing some good for once as they reminded me what she said two short hours ago:
She said she could trust me with this spell. Was she wrong?
I couldn’t let her down. It was time to end the test. With a tear in my eye, I closed my hand and the ball of light disappeared both from my hand and Dreya’s eyes. My hand still felt cold despite the spell leaving. Dreya blinked a few times before sitting down and massaging her knees.
“H-how was it?” I was almost afraid to ask. She slowly looked up at me with an expression that could only be fear or reverence. I was afraid of either.
For an agonizing few moments, Dreya could only breathe as struggled to find the right words, “It was…” She looked down and took a breath. I saw her hand move toward her groin for just a second, before she pulled it away. She composed herself. “It was like a small orgasm that encompassed my entire body for the entire duration of the spell.” she said with surprising directness. Understanding, I reached down for a notebook and wrote down her reaction. She was trying her absolute best to help my research.
As I wrote down the word “orgasm” I couldn’t help but sneak a peek at Dreya standing awkwardly. As my eyes moved down to her legs, I confirmed that she had soaked through her pants. I wrote that down too.
Part Three: Sex Drive
Inlaying spells into objects is a long and difficult process. That’s why I set up Sparklebright’s mane to allow for glyph and rune encoding. However, the obvious solution didn’t escape my grasp. If I wanted Sparklebright to be able to cast the spell on me, I could simply give him the golden horn with the runes already inscribed. Now that I had them figured out how to compile them, I merely needed to encode the compiling instructions into his mane.
After I activated him, the gold horn began lightly glowing with a mirage of colors like Sparklebright’s horn always did. If someone wasn’t paying attention, they might not even notice the horn was actually gold instead of white. I got to work inlaying new runes in his mane. While Sparklebright could cast the spell from the horn, he would also need to say the incantation and issue me commands. These new runes would essentially allow him to repeat pre-recorded phrases.

It was done. I took my clothes off and got on my bed. I had replaced the headboard with a mirror so I could see his horn. I looked forward and saw the pretty little elf girl offering herself to the toy unicorn. The visible excitement on her face surprised me, but I knew it wouldn’t be there for long.
“Sparklebright, cast the low-level subjugation spell. Duration: thirty minutes.” It was so thrilling to say it. I had finally finished all the preparations. All that was left was to enjoy it.
It turns out, nothing could prepare me for the first time I saw the light of subjugation.
It turns out, nothing could prepare me for the first time I saw the light of subjugation.
Dreya’s description was accurate, but incomplete. Yes, it felt like a light orgasm was engulfing my body, but it was so much more. My mind had fully quieted except for a single thought.
I will do anything for Sparklebright.
I thought it over and over and over. It felt so good to think it. I repeated the phrase in my head again and again, feeling wetness slip down my leg from orgasm after orgasm. The beautiful elf girl in the mirror had beautiful glowing eyes I knew, but I couldn’t see them. My eyes were locked on the horn. In my eyes, I couldn’t even see the colors anymore. I saw a glorious golden horn of a dominant black unicorn. The dark stallion that was meant to dominate the pathetic Light-Elves, and I was his first disciple in millennia.
I will do anything for Sparklebright.
I will do anything for Sparklebright.
The black unicorn shifted back into Sparklebright, and the light from his horn faded. My legs and arms ached for some reason. Had it been thirty minutes already? The clock on my wall seemed to agree. I felt my womanhood. Soaking wet, but still tight. No soreness at all. Did we not have sex? I looked at my unicorn and had a sudden realization.
I had assumed that after he cast the spell I would be able to tell him to pleasure me. The problem was, after he cast his spell I was so lost in it I couldn’t tell him to do anything. I had literally just laid on my bed, ass up, watching the lights for half an hour. I collapsed onto the bed, my arms, legs, and abs getting much needed relief after planking for half an hour.
Once I had recovered enough, I grabbed some water and some paper as I began to draft a new spell. A quick adjustment to Sparklebright’s reactive sentience. The solution would be so elegant and simple.
I would give him a sex drive.
I would give him a sex drive.
* * *
Giving a semi-sentient construct a sex drive was slightly more complicated than I expected. While his original sentience would be classified as “Reactive Sentience” by academics, a sex drive requires him to want things. That meant first upgrading him to “Animal Sentience”. An expensive and timely endeavor. Fortunately, I was able to afford the necessary rune-matrices with my cut from the Dark-Elf’s tomb.
Bellatrix was overjoyed when I finished the upgrade. Sparklebright now pranced and played and chased after balls like a well-trained dog. Durgan laughed as the two chased each other around the training field. But Dreya… Dreya was clearly bothered.
“Cousin, your creation was already a… facsimile of a legendary beast.” she said, careful not to hurt my feelings. “I overlooked that because it was just a servant. Now, you’ve given it the horn and made it think it’s alive. Doesn’t that seem a step too far?”
She didn’t say it, but I knew what was actually upsetting her: the golden horn. She had felt the power of its spell and now it pulsed with light as it sat atop Sparklebright’s head like a crown.
Yes, that beautiful golden horn. I only have a few upgrades left. Why am I wasting time in this meeting? If I work hard, the sex drive could be installed tonight.
I decided to leave.
“Fine, I’ll take him home then. I have other things to do. To me, Sparklebright!” My unicorn’s head turned away from Bellatrix’s playful teasing and he ran to my side as I walked away. Bell followed close behind and grabbed my hand as we left the courtyard.
“You know I can smell it when you’re horny right?” She smiled softly, but her words froze me. “I don’t mind if you want to bail to meet up with someone, but you don’t have to be mean to Dreya to sneak away.”
Wait, I’m not horny… am I?
I had only been thinking about the spell. Thinking about what it was like to stare into those lights again. The same lights that made Dreya soak herself right in front of me. Bellatrix sniffed again, and she looked at me with caring concern. With relief, I could tell there was no judgement. My thoughts would stay quiet for now.
“Look, go ahead and go, I’m gonna smooth things over with Dreya,” she said smiling, clearly happy for me, “You don’t need to tell me any details you’re uncomfortable with, but… have fun okay?”
Then, while smiling in a way I had only seen her smile at men, Bellatrix gave me a playful slap on my ass. Bellatrix froze. “Oh gods, Thalenya I’m sorry. I was just excited for you and…”
I forced a smile. “It’s okay.”
She avoided looking me in the eye as she turned away. As she walked I noticed the notch on her belt where her lyre used to hang was still empty. I had never made her a new one. I promised myself I would tomorrow. Tonight was for me.
* * *
My fingers trembled as I traced the final rune into Sparklebright’s mane. It was done, he now had an animalistic sex drive. I sent a spark of magic into the mane and watched my creation come to life. I made my way to the bed, stripping off my clothes and leaving them on the floor. I could clean them later, I couldn’t wait another second for this.
I got on the bed and raised my ass in the air for Sparklebright. I watched in the mirror as he climbed up onto the bed behind me. He turned his head as if asking a question.
I got on the bed and raised my ass in the air for Sparklebright. I watched in the mirror as he climbed up onto the bed behind me. He turned his head as if asking a question.
“Go ahead Sparkle, cast the spell.” I took a breath. This was it. I focused my eyes on his golden horn.
It burned a blazing white through which all colors, not just the ones in a rainbow, but all colors appeared. I saw Sparklebright blur in my vision. His metallic frame was again replaced with black fur. His black eyes became a piercing gold. I was convinced that Sparklebright was the black unicorn from the tomb. Whether the horn itself changed him or he was somehow reincarnated, the mechanism didn’t matter. The Dark Stallion would dominate all. I was his disciple and his servant.
A wave of cyan pulsed from his horn and I felt my pussy moisten. I realized with glee that he did that to me. That his control was so great he could control autonomic responses. That knowledge also made me wetter. He took a couple of steps and I felt the phallus lined up right to my opening. A pink pulse this time. I felt my hand reach back and guide him inside.
And sex finally made sense to me.

I let out a long and guttural moan that I would have thought myself incapable of producing as ridge after ridge slid into me with mechanical rhythm. I was detached. I was an object that existed for sex. I counted all seven ridges each time they pushed in and each time they pulled out, spreading my pussy like no Light-Elf could.
Even though the colors themselves made the world feel like an orgasm. I could feel another orgasm building within me. My pussy was just so happy to be pleasing my master. It needed to reward me. Wave after wave of pleasure began radiating out from my core as the second orgasm overtook me. I was in ecstasy, and I never wanted it to end.
* * *
I woke up the next morning in pain. I hadn’t expected to feel this sore. When I reached down to feel my womanhood, I was bruised and rubbed raw. I opened a cabinet and drank a healing potion, and began to feel the pain disappear.
I began to moisten again as I remembered last night. Sparklebright had bedded me for hours as I eagerly stared into the lights from his horn. I remembered watching myself in the mirror as his glistening silver body drove pleasure into me again and again and…
I suddenly realized something strange. In my memory, Sparklebright appeared as he always did, sparkling metal and glistening runes, but I remember seeing the black unicorn mount me. I just couldn’t remember what he looked like. Curious, but not the current issue.
I realized Sparklebright never stopped because he couldn’t finish. He had no way of cumming so he just kept going. I told Sparklebright to get on the workshop table, and he dutifully obeyed. and I methodically began my next upgrade. My perfect lover deserved to finish too.
Part Four: Twilight Nectar
The ejaculation modification I designed was simple enough to install into Sparklebright’s phallus. Adjusting his sex drive subroutine to include a refractory period after ejaculation took less than an hour. As I made these adjustments, the looming question in my mind was what would actually come out.
I saw in my mind the vision from the mirror, different from when I tried to recall it earlier. As if the black unicorn was hiding before but presenting his image to my mind now. I saw myself, the pretty little elf girl, bent over on my bed with eyes surging with the colors of his horn. The black stallion with a golden horn was mounting me.
He thrust faster and faster in my vision. I saw my lips move but couldn’t hear the words. I could only guess I was swearing my devotion to him. I didn’t have to guess if I was enjoying it, the expression on my face made that all too clear. I saw myself scream as a final thrust shoved me forward. As he pulled out, an oily substance dripped from my pussy. The expression on my face elevated from joy to ecstasy.
I still don’t understand how I knew, but it was as if the alchemical tables were suddenly laid before me in my mind. I stepped to my alchemy worktable and drained all the active contents from the beakers and alembics, whatever project I had been working on before was no longer important. I activated the circle of magic runes which would clean the supplies. I had a fresh workstation now. I was ready to get to work.
I’m not a practiced alchemist though I know the fundamentals. The formula was complex, far more complex than anything I’d ever synthesized. Yet, the steps felt clear in my mind as if I had done them a thousand times. It was almost like I was under the subjugation spell again as I watched my hands move in a natural, yet unfamiliar way.
I set up a titration for the inactive agent, and began boiling the liquid base to sterilize it. Most of the reagents I needed were already in my collection. I had what I needed to make the oily black substance, but I was missing the key ingredient that would give me the ecstasy I saw in my vision.
Mindsbane
Mindsbane
The drug had been banned for centuries now. I remembered several of the elders from the village I grew up in were addicted to the stuff. I remembered the sickly-sweet smell as they exhaled the smoke and my mother pushed me away. I remembered how thin they looked. The drug itself wasn’t directly dangerous, but if the user lived alone, they were likely to die of thirst or starvation. It was a blissful substance that took all the worries of the world away.
For a moment, it occurred to me that if I wasn’t careful, the drug would take me away. I brushed the thought away. I didn’t need to be concerned. I had Sparklebright to take care of me.
I knew Bellatrix would be no hope when it came to mindsbane. She was no stranger to drugs, but didn’t dabble in anything known to kill someone. So I went to Dreya.
* * *
“Mindsbane?” She whispered as Durgan loudly devoured an entire duck next to us. I wasn’t sure why she was whispering, no one would be able to hear over the crunch of Durgan’s teeth cracking through bone. I could barely hear her as is. I cast a spell that connected us mentally. “Surely not for your own use?” I forced myself not to smile. I had to play this off the right way.
I grinned and said, “Of course not cousin, who do you take me for?” I watched her expression soften as she heard me say cousin. It was the first time I called her that. “By extracting certain alchemic compounds from the flower, I may be able to strengthen the effects of Sparklebright’s new spell.” That wasn’t even a lie, though saying it wasn’t for my own use certainly was.
“Are the spells not strong enough as is?” Dreya seemed clearly apprehensive. She was clearly remembering the effect the spell had on her. I remembered the effect the spell had on me. I could see Sparklebright in my memory now, not the black unicorn. I had to convince her.
“Do you want to take the chance of his spell failing when we’re staring down a magma giant? I’ve done my research and this is how your people used to do it.” In Dark-Elven, I said, “Strengthen the spell as much as possible, leave nothing to chance..” Dreya swallowed as I said the familiar mantra of the Dark-Elven Sorcerer Circle.
Dreya tested me a final time, “Are you absolutely–”
“Yes cousin,” I said, letting the word land heavy, “I’m absolutely sure.” Dreya stared through me, as if processing my ability to stand up to her. I was over this. “Dreya, I wouldn’t be suggesting this if I hadn’t already done my research and retested the calculations several times. I’m not doing something dangerous, I’m doing something that will keep us safe. You trusted me with the spell, so why won’t you trust me with this?”
Dreya clearly didn’t like me arguing with her, but she couldn’t deny the truth of my words. She slowly nodded and pulled a bag from her poisoner’s kit. I had often wondered how Dreya had always been so successful at interrogations. As I opened the pouch to look inside, the familiar smell from my childhood gave me both the answer to that question, and my new path forward. Dreya avoided making eye-contact as I walked away.
When I returned to the workstation and began extracting the small amount of mindsbane Dreya gave me, I came to the realization that the alchemical process would dilute it greatly without reducing its potency. Sparklebright would be able to orgasm over 500 times with just the small amount Dreya had given me. If anything, I would need to purchase more reagents to keep up with the mindsbane. I wrote that down for later. As the long dilution process began, Sparklebright nudged me with his horn.
I looked at the bubbling mindsbane solution on the table, and cast a spell that would quench the flame under it when the time was right. Sparklebright nudged me again, more insistently this time. The sex drive was working well, and even though nothing would shoot out, Sparklebright was able to orgasm now so I wouldn’t be lost forever. I got on the bed, hiked up my dress and stared longingly into the mirror as the colors from his horn took all my worries away, and the black unicorn returned to give me everything I needed.
To my surprise, Sparklebright ended the trance early. Neither of us had cum yet, my pussy was still slick with its natural lubricant. He pulled out of me and I felt the joy of each ridge pulling me apart a final time. Maybe I didn’t need the spell or the drugs I thought to myself. Maybe now that I had done this a few times, I was relaxed to the point I could enjoy it on my own.
Then I remembered the lights from Sparklebright’s horn.
Why would I ever want sex without those lights?
I turned around and looked at my mechanical lover. He was looking back at the alchemical table. The runes were glowing, the fire was off. The mindsbane had been fully extracted. All that was left was to stir it into the oily base, and my perfect Sparklebright would finally be able to cum in me.
The process took less than a minute. Once I had the twilight nectar fully mixed and bagged, I opened Sparklebright’s flank and connected the bag to a tube leading to his phallus. Sparklebright was whole now. As whole as any man. I stood back in a moment of awe.

This substance, the twilight nectar, was once used to enslave my people. Now I was using it as a masturbatory aid. My pussy, recently dried from all the alchemic and mechanical work I had been doing, began moistening again at this thought. As I bent over, ready to take his seed for the first time, I vaguely wondered how I knew to call the substance twilight nectar. As his horn illuminated, I stopped wondering anything at all.
Sparklebright fucked me harder than he ever had. It was like he knew he could finally cum and he was building up to cum as hard as possible. If I was in control of myself I would have begged him to slow down. Though if I was in control of myself, I would have never discovered this divine pleasure.
A pulse of light from his horn and my hand flew back to rub my clit. Making the familiar circles I rubbed every night when I slept and dreamed of Sparklebright. He wanted it to feel good. He wanted me to associate his dominance with pleasure. He wanted me to never want anyone but him. I wanted to give him everything he wanted. The words started flowing from my mouth again as my orgasm loomed.
“I will do anything for Sparklebright.”
“I will do anything for Sparklebright.”
“I will do anything for Sparklebright.”
I squeezed down on him hard as I orgasmed. It made no difference to him how tight I was, but I couldn’t help myself. Now that he had reinforced my pleasure, it was time for him to finish. Something I had now hard-coded into his sex drive. He pumped faster and faster, opening me more than anything ever had. With a powerful thrust, I felt his warm black cum filling me. Bellatrix had told me about the warm feeling of a man’s seed in your womb. The warmth from Sparklebright extended far past my womb. I felt it radiating out. I felt it in my blood. I felt it in my mind. I felt the need to smile, and my lips twisted up farther than I thought I could push them. The mirror showed a deranged Light-Elf slave, high out of her mind on her master’s cum.

For the first time, I knew the joy of twilight nectar. I wondered if 500 doses would be enough.
Just like in my vision earlier, my mouth was moving but I couldn’t hear the words. What I said was meaningless, but the drugged cum let me finally hear his words clearly in my mind. I don’t know if it was really Sparklebright talking to me or if the horn was somehow projecting thoughts on its own. Perhaps the two had merged together into a single entity. Either way it didn’t matter. The voice gave me an order.

You will continue to improve me. You will make me more addictive.
The lights were no longer glowing. My mouth didn’t move on its own. I chose to say my next words out loud, and I could hear them echo through my workshop.
“I will continue to improve you. I will make you more addictive.”
That was the only thing that mattered anymore.

Part Five: The Wish and the Lie
The next few weeks felt like a blur to me. At the beginning, Sparklebright was a fun distraction from the tedium of everyday life. Being able to come home from adventuring, or step away from a work table, and just turn off my brain and get lost in a world of pleasure… it was… intoxicating.
I remember trying to build Bellatrix her lyre. I had actually succeeded in rethreading the underwear into proper strings. I just needed to construct the instrument itself now. The work was delicate, but I wanted to make a lyre that sounded better than her told one. Bellatrix was always there for me, I needed to do right by her.

Sparklebright nudged me with his horn. I felt my pussy automatically get wet.
“Sorry Sparky, not now.” I pushed him away. I know I’ve been letting my friends down lately. They’ve gone on several adventures without me. Bellatrix had come by a few times making sure I was ok. I told her that I was deeply focused on her lyre. She accepted the excuse, but I had to make good on it, as much as my pussy ached to turn away from Sparklebright.
Sparklebright nudged me again. I felt the heat rising in my body. I wanted him so badly. I turned to him.
Sparklebright nudged me again. I felt the heat rising in my body. I wanted him so badly. I turned to him.
“Listen Sparky, I can’t–” I never got to finish the sentence.
His horn was glowing. I no longer got to make decisions.
Sparklebright trotted his way to the bed. His cock extended from the sheath I made for him. I felt as if it existed for the sole purpose of granting me that blessed silence within my own head. I had no choice, I couldn’t consider a choice. I let my clothes fall to the floor and got on the bed. The black unicorn was waiting to use his Light-Elf toy. It was my honor to pleasure him. I raised my ass and opened my body to him, then I looked in the mirror and opened my mind to him.
Despite being enthralled by him, I was still thinking about Bellatrix’s lyre.
The light from his horn pulsed, a deep golden color this time.
I can’t believe I’m choosing Sparklebright over Bellatrix. I can’t believe how much it turns me on to choose Sparklebright over Bellatrix.
A silent orgasm rewarded that thought. Now it was my job to thank my master. I slammed my body into his cock. My pleasure no longer mattered. My master was enjoying my body and that’s what was most important.

His rhythm began to accelerate. I knew the drugs were coming. I knew I wouldn’t be able to focus on the lyre for hours. I didn’t care, I wanted to feel it again.
I got my wish. The twilight nectar filled my body in the familiar way. I felt it soften my mind and the image of the black unicorn, Sparklebright’s true form once again crystalized in my mind. He spoke to me.
No more distractions, compile the second spell.
I nodded and got to my workbench. I slid the in-progress lyre off the worktable. It landed with a soft crack. I told myself I would fix it later. Even at that moment, I knew I was lying. I began compiling the second spell, my pussy throbbing as I imagined how much more fun he would be once I installed it.
* * *
I walked into the cavern slowly, with shaking legs and strained eyes. My peripheral vision had become blurry due to my sleep deprivation. It didn’t bother me. Very little did anymore, now that Sparklebright had received the second spell. Unlike the low-level version, I could still feel the medium-level subjugation spell gripping my mind even without seeing the light of his horn.

Durgan held his own against the five immortal guardians of this cave. Though his axe bounced off their armor as if it was made of rubber, he was too quick for them to hit.
Dreya phased in and out of the cave shadows, firing poisoned arrows at the guardians. Her impeccable aim allowed her to find the miniscule slits in their armor where her arrows could deliver their poison. I watched as each one of the five guardians dislodged the arrows and continued swinging at Durgan, completely unphased by the deadly Dark-Elf poisons.
Bellatrix tried to play a magical lullaby on her newly-purchased lyre. Durgan stumbled at the sound. Both mine and Dreya’s elven heritage protected us from the song Bellatrix had learned from the Faeries. The guardians were not elves, yet they seemed as unaffected as I was. Something about their holy task, their immortality, rendered them immune to even Faerie-song.
Durgan couldn’t defend himself. The song had all but rendered him unconscious. I looked to the black unicorn by my side. Smiling at how I could now see his true form even outside of trance.

I whispered “Subjugate, medium-level” to my companion. I saw the guardians’ eyes begin to glow the same instant his horn did. I felt my panties soak through with jealousy. The guardians stood aside and knelt before us. The way was now clear.
“Nicely done, cousin,” Dreya smiled sincerely at me, “looks like the enhancements were worth it.” She didn’t know it was the medium-level spell. She thought this was the low-level spell enhanced with the mindsbane. She reached down and patted Sparklebright on the head. This was the first time I’d ever seen her show kindness to my lover.
“Yes, it’s nice to know someone can cast enchantments without leaving me wobbly and exposed.” Durgan threw a glare at Bellatrix.
“The lullaby has never failed before!” Bellatrix began to defend herself, “I figured even if you fell asleep the guardians would too!” I knew what she was saying was reasonable. I knew Bellatrix was doing her best to help us win what seemed to be an unwinnable battle, but I didn’t have the energy to defend her right now.
“Let’s just keep going,” I said. Bellatrix’s face fell into a pouting frown, clearly upset I didn’t back her up. I looked ahead to the cave. Eager to get this latest adventure over with so I could spend more time with Sparklebright.

As the now-subjugated guardians led our group further into the cave, expertly guiding us around pitfalls and traps, Bellatrix ran up to me.
“Hey Thal, thanks for the save back there, but what is going on with you?” I continued walking forward, not even bothering to look at her. “You’re tired all the time, you never drink with us anymore. I haven’t seen a new invention in months, and…” I waited for her to bring up the lyre. Instead I heard her sniff the air.

“You’re so horny, I bet Dreya can smell it at this point.” Whether Dreya nodded in agreement, scowled in disgust, or ignored the comment entirely I didn’t know. I wasn’t paying attention. I was following the guardians, waiting for this adventure to be over so I could go back to my workshop with Sparklebright. I kept walking forward waiting for Bellatrix to leave. She didn’t.
I finally turned to her and said “I’m fine, really. Just getting close to a breakthrough on a big project. It’s really important, trust me.” I saw her hands grip the lyre she bought.
“Y-yeah…” she finally said, “I trust you Thal.”
We finally reached the end of the cave where our final prize awaited. I had expected gold or jewels. Something I could use to buy more reagents for Sparklebright. I even hoped that there might be some mindsbane hidden in this ancient cave. Even though I was sorely disappointed on that front, what we found was even better.
A golden genie’s lamp sat atop a simple stone pedestal carved out of the very cave. The area around it lacked the dirt and grime that clung to the rest of the cave, as if its perfection was too much for even nature to defile. The glyph for “One” glowed softly on its lid. Our party had won a single wish.

I looked at the black unicorn beside me. I knew the others saw him as the construct, but I was proud to know his true form even outside of trance. His golden horn pulsed red, his intentions clear. I simply nodded as the rest of the group agreed Dreya should hold onto the lamp until we knew what to do with it.

I didn’t have sex with Sparklebright when I returned home. I slept. I would need to have all my wits about me if I was going to succeed.

I didn’t have sex with Sparklebright when I returned home. I slept. I would need to have all my wits about me if I was going to succeed.
A pulse of gold light from Sparklebright’s horn woke me up. As I stared, I watched the light shift and modulate as he programmed his commands into my mind. The obedient servant I am, I stared intently as he did this. What remained of my will ensured that my eyes did not blink. I didn’t want to miss a millisecond of his beautiful light.
As suddenly as it started, it ended. Sparklebright went back to his bed to charge and I got dressed. I put on a black cloak of invisibility I once made for Dreya. She had politely declined as she had preferred the natural invisibility of the shadows. Her loss was my gain.
I slipped out of the workshop and made my way to Dreya’s home. She lived on the top floor of a large building in the center of town. An expensive, luxurious place of residence that she paid for with the treasure we found on our adventures. I made my way up to her room and noticed the lock on her door. It was one of my own creations. I pulled out my master key and opened it. The luxurious door made no sound as it opened, and I made my way inside.
It occurred to me that I didn’t know why I was doing this, I just knew I had to get the lamp. Every time I completed a task, another one appeared in my mind. I would complete each task like the good Light-Elf servant I was. I would retrieve the lamp from Dreya’s bedroom. It never occurred to me to wonder why the black unicorn wanted the lamp.
It was so arousing to sneak into Dreya’s room. I imagined my eyes glowing with Sparklebright’s light under the hood. As moonlight shone into the room I saw the lamp sitting on the nightstand next to her bed. Dreya lay under the silken covers, and to my surprise, another Dark-Elf woman lay sleeping next to her. Had Dreya ever mentioned having a girlfriend, or had I just not been paying attention?
I made my way to the nightstand, walking as silently as I could. When I came around the bed, I could see her open eyes staring at me, despite my invisibility. I saw her reach under the pillow, probably for a knife, I lowered the hood and became visible. I saw her eyes widen, then narrow, and she pulled her hand back from under the pillow. Her hand was tightened into a fist but she left the knife under her pillow. I considered this a good sign.
Dreya sat up silently. Her movements were so graceful that the silken blanket covering her lover remained still.

She whispered, barely audibly, “Go to the kitchen so I can get dressed. Then we’ll talk.” I slowly nodded. Despite everything I’d been through with Sparklebright, I was painfully aware that she was in control here. If I upset her and she did decide to kill me, no one would ever find my body. I had to play this just right.
I slowly made my way to the kitchen, trying to walk silently to not wake Dreya’s companion. By the time I got there, Dreya was already dressed in her pitch black leather armor waiting for me.

“I can only assume you came to steal the lamp. Tell me why.” Her eyes were piercing through me. “Now.”
I remembered the glow of Sparklebright’s horn. I let the feeling overtake me. I allowed his false memories to replace my own. Dreya would never be able to tell I was lying, because as far as I knew, I wasn’t. My pussy moistened ever so slightly, as I let the colors rewrite me.

I fell to my knees and began to cry. “Dreya, I’m so sorry, it’s just…” I trailed off, letting more false memories flow into my mind. I took a deep breath and looked up at her through moist eyes. “I’ve… met someone, someone like me.” I could see him in my mind. A handsome Light-Elf engineer. Patient, handsome, and as awkward as myself. My perfect companion who would never be brave enough to hold me the way I needed. I felt the tears falling from my eyes.
“I… I want to make love to him Dreya,” I saw her expression soften a little, “I want to so badly. We stay up night after night trying, but I’m just so scared. I don’t want to feel this way anymore!” I cried out louder than I meant to before sitting on the floor, my knees held up to my face, hiding me from the world.

In my mind’s eyes, I could see the red light pulse from the horn again. It told me I was doing well, I just needed to push a little further…
“I just thought… with the lamp–”
A voice called out from Dreya’s room. “Dreya? Where are you? Are you talking to someone?” She must have heard me. I squished my head further below my knees. Dreya looked down at the pitiful crying elf girl and turned to her lover.
“Valnessa, it’s ok. My friend Thalenya is going through a hard time and needs someone to talk to. I’m… sorry we woke you.” I saw the beautiful Dark-Elf walk into the kitchen, a silken bedsheet wrapped around her, perfectly framing the silver tattoos that ran along her skin. Dreya looked from the woman back to me and sighed.
“Cousin, it’s ok… Take the lamp.” I looked up at her, barely able to see through my own tears. I thought of my lover. I would finally be able to feel him. I couldn’t help but smile. Dreya was smiling too, both at me and at Valnessa. “Honey, I left something of Thalenya’s on the nightstand, can you grab it for me?” Valnessa nodded and brought me the lamp. Then she patted me on the head.
“It’s ok, cousin,” Valnessa said sweetly, “Whatever it is you’re going through, you’re strong enough to see it through and come out a better person.” She yawned and began making her way back to bed. “That’s the thing about being an elf. We have all the time in the world to learn and grow.”
Dreya didn’t say anything else. She merely smiled. I saw why she liked Valnessa. Tears began flooding down my face again. Dreya knelt down and hugged me.

She whispered in my ear, “It’s ok cousin, go ahead and make your wish. I’m going back to bed now, but I’ll cover for you in the morning. You deserve this.” I thanked her over and over before I made my way down to the street as quickly as I could without drawing attention.
I found an alley where no one was around. Far away from Dreya’s ever perspective ears. As quietly as I could, I began whispering into the lamp, mildly curious what Sparklebright would have me wish for.
“I wish for a scroll of the Dark-Elven high-level subjugation spell.” I smiled.

I had to improve him further. I had to make him more addictive.
The lamp slowly began to crumble, leaving only dust and a long rolled up parchment. As I opened it, I saw the compiled rune order written in the common tongue. The rune order was extraordinarily similar to the medium level spell, but had a recursive sequence that at a glance seemed like it would repeat indefinitely. I could tell that when the sequence did eventually end, it would be exponentially more powerful than the medium level.
Honestly, there was nothing clever about how this spell was compiled. It merely took the medium-level version and repeated it with brute force until the subject’s mind was annihilated. I held the scroll to my chest and felt the familiar wetness as I imagined the effects it would have on my own mind. I rolled it up, and ran home as fast as I could.

Part Six: Transformation
When I returned home, Sparklebright was waiting for me as always.
“It worked,” I said with relief, “It worked just like you thought it would.” I showed him the scroll. His horn pulsed gold. I felt my reward orgasm overtake me. My body shook as I soaked through my panties. I silently thanked the goddess for allowing me to be his slave; to get to experience this pleasure.
Sparklebright lowered his head so I would have access to the rune-matrix in his mane. If only it was that simple.
“Sparklebright, the spell is too complex to be inscribed in your mane. I need to hardcode it into you.” Sparklebright closed his mechanical eyes, and I watched the light fade from his horn and mane. I began disassembling his head and removed his mechanical brain. I was surprised to see that the golden horn had become fused with it, though I wasn’t terribly concerned by that fact.
I began the long and tedious process of hardcoding the spell into Sparklebright. I would have to cast spell after spell into his mind, engraving the runes into the very material. I would then have to rethread certain wires, realign certain mechanical parts, and repeat the process. The recursive section was by far the longest. This was no minor task, it would take days. It was clear to me now why the spell was missing from the horn, there simply wouldn’t be room to write it.
I wrote a letter to Dreya thanking her for what she’d done. I told her truthfully that the wish had worked and now I could finally, truly, give myself to my lover. I asked her to tell the group that we planned to spend a couple weeks just the two of us, and that I would return as a version of myself that was finally fulfilled.
The hours I spent working quickly stretched into days. I made sure I slept, ate, and bathed myself. I couldn’t allow lack of self-care to reduce my efficiency. I couldn’t allow fatigue to cause mistakes. Besides taking care of myself, every free second was spent on the spell. Whenever I felt myself faltering, I remembered my oath.
I must keep improving you. I must make you more addictive.
The days without his light did take their toll on me however. Unwanted thoughts began creeping into my head, just like they used to before his light kept them away.
Am I really sure I want to do this?
Am I really sure I want to do this?
I could stop if I wanted to
He’s deactivated and disassembled, there’s nothing he can do to me now. I could leave the workshop and never come back
Day after day, these thoughts plagued me. Trying to lure me away from my purpose. Trying to convince me that I deserved freedom. I tried to push them down, but without Sparklebright’s light to hold them at bay, they kept coming back.
Godess… I can’t stop myself anymore…
I know what the spell does. It can’t be reversed. Thalenya won’t exist.
I know what the spell does. It can’t be reversed. Thalenya won’t exist.
I tried touching myself at that last thought, but it didn’t have the same thrill it used to. So I returned to my work. I was so close to completing my task. Then the lights would come back. When the lights came back, my unwanted thoughts would finally disappear forever.
Please… just stop…
I wouldn’t stop. I would complete my task.
Don’t let me do this…
Don’t let me do this…
I imagined how glorious it would be when I was done. The pathetic Light-Elf girl transformed into a perfect servant for the black unicorn.
I’ll be gone forever…
“Good,” I said out loud, not even sure who I was talking to. “He doesn’t want you around. So I don’t want you around.”
This isn’t what I wanted…
“No, it’s what he wanted,” I said with relief as I cast the final spell. The thoughts were still begging me to stop, but it was too late. I reassembled my master, and let my weary body finally rest as he began the long process of rebooting. When he awakened, he would be so much more.

I honestly expected his horn to be glowing when I woke up. Instead, the black unicorn was waiting at the foot of my bed, waiting for me to take my place. I shed my clothes and took my place before him. I was ready to finally begin my new life.
As I positioned my body and stared into the mirror, he entered me without activating the horn. I let out a long moan as I finally got to give him the pleasure he deserved.
This is your reward. I heard the dark commanding voice in my head. One last experience of happiness before I erase you completely.
I squeezed down on him in thanks, my unwanted thoughts made one final desperate plea.
I squeezed down on him in thanks, my unwanted thoughts made one final desperate plea.
I can still get away. Keep my eyes closed. Quickly pull off. Get to the circle. If I disrupt the runes, he’ll go to sleep. He’s only been charging for a few hours, he wouldn’t have enough energy without the circle. He’d deactivate and I could take him apart. I’d be free. I’d never… look… at his horn… again…
I struggled with that thought. It was so painful to imagine. Going the rest of my long elven life without this pleasure. I couldn't deny myself that pleasure. I made my mouth move, I said the words. I made sure my unwanted thoughts went away forever.
“Sparklebright… cast the high-level subjugation spell.” Relief flooded me as I realized I would never make a choice again. I swear I saw the black unicorn smiling as his horn glowed in a vortex of colors and un-colors unlike anything I’d ever seen before.
I felt his power ripping through my mind. It was painful in an empty sort of way. The recursive nature of the spell hit me over and over, eradicating all thought again and again and again. Every wave accompanied by an orgasm of increasing strength until the pleasure was so intense it was painful. Still I endured, never allowing my eyes to shut, never allowing myself to throw my head back in pleasure. I was fully committed to letting the spell destroy me. I focused as hard as I could on the horn and hours seemed to pass…

I focused as hard as I could on the horn and hours seemed to pass…
Bellatrix… Dreya… I’m… sorry…
Until finally, there was nothing left. I was just a shell with enough memories to pretend to be a person. Even those memories existed at his will and could be changed at will. My pussy squeezed down hard at the thought of him rewriting my memories permanently.
Thalenya was gone now. I was merely a servant of the black unicorn. I was nothing now, only his. A mere construct that would always do as she was programmed.
Now, I focused on allowing my master to use my body like the toy it was. I had to thank him. He thrust in over and over and I moaned with joy at giving him the pleasure he deserved. I watched in the mirror as the pathetic little elf girl finally achieved her purpose. Her eyes glowed beautifully as her body shook with each thrust. Her tits bounced without rhythm under a face that showed no sign of thought. Besides the black unicorn, the elf girl was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen.

With a final painful thrust, he emptied a double dose of twilight nectar into my body. I felt it overwhelm my helpless body as the light of his horn penetrated deeper into my mind than I thought possible for what felt like years. Eventually, without understanding why, I turned around and began licking every spare drop of the sickly-sweet divine nectar from his cock. I heard his voice in my head as I did.
Tell me what you want now.. I stopped licking and smiled. My mouth moved on its own, my devoted mind not even in control of it.
“I want nothing. I am yours.” My lips spoke true, I no longer had want or feelings of any kind. The never-ending orgasm had finally stopped. I no longer needed it. I saw the mirage of colors in my mind as the final words left my mouth. The words he wanted me to say.
“But I know what you want, and I will bring you Bellatrix and Dreya.”

I imagined the pathetic demonspawn girl kneeling next to the Dark-Elf infidel, both with beautiful swirling eyes, naked and ready to serve their master. My body rewarded this thought with an orgasm.
