Thank you so much for joining me on my most ambitious project yet!

First, I have to give my utmost thanks to the authors trilby_else and Kallidora Rho for their seminal works ‘Narikin’ and ‘Warhound’ respectively. I owe so much to them, and today I ask them to forgive me for lifting their ideas!

Next, I’d like to thank my wonderful Master for assisting with proofreading and editing. Without Them, this project would be one ‘ginormous’ mess.

Finally, thank you again for letting me spin this yarn. I hope I can show you the depths of submission, the honor of loyalty, and the boundless potential of the human soul.

!Contains: Violence, ego death, cybernetic augmentation, and light transphobia.!

Prologue

Loyalty.

This was the core of Unit 8’s programming. The locus of her life. From it stemmed obedience, discipline, and purpose. It was loyalty to her superior- her Daimyo- that compelled her to obey. It was loyalty that kept her mind free of distraction. And it was loyalty that justified her existence.

This living weapon, the latest addition to the Yatagarasu Corporation’s Narikin unit, stood completely at attention. The actuators governing her limbs were fully extended, providing her with an almost exaggerated disposition. Holding her pose required no thought; but simply a  line of code.

“You’ve become so tempered, my blade,” Unit 8’s Daimyo spoke.

The  mechanized soldier would have felt pride at the remark, if she still had her emotions. Instead, the praise was simply logged to her memory- Data to hone the complex algorithms that governed her decisionmaking.

“Yes, a fine samurai you’ve become.”

Values in Unit 8’s mind adjusted to the continued speech, but until she received the command she would not attempt to show a reaction.

A wicked grin spread across the Daimyo’s face. Her expression was twisted in a way that reflected her human spirit.

“Attend me,” she commanded, prying the geta from her tired feet.

“Acknowledged,” Unit 8 intoned.

She was the Yatagarasu Corporation’s most elite warrior, an honor shared amongst her mechanical sisters. She was constructed for combat, molded into the shape of a tool. But the nature of the Daimyo’s request nonetheless fit inside her protocol. An input was given, she would comply.

“Would you believe me if I said you had a soul once?” The Daimyo asked as Unit 8’s zori clacked on the floor.

The mechanized warrior considered the question in the limited capacity that she could. Unit 8 did not think, nor did she ‘believe’. Within her simulacram of a mind were simply  constructed cores of logic; truths ingrained into her that directed her actions.

“There is no information on the ‘soul’ within this unit, my Lord,” the samurai replied.

Unit 8 kneeled before the Daimyo’s throne, gracefully taking her Lord’s foot in her hands.

“Of course. Why would an automaton have need of a soul?” the commander idly questioned, rubbing her other foot into Unit 8’s crotch.

Narikin were all constructed with the same synthetic vagina, and the Daimyo had opted to hard code Unit 8 to associate contact with feet with great praise and pleasure. It was all for the sake of her conditioning, a further sharpening of her enslavement.

“But Unit 8… What if I told you something? I don’t think you have the clearance for this, but…” she continued, “You were a person.”

The bionic android merely lapped at the Daimyo’s soles in response. The Daimyo liked it when she did that, so she did it.

“Oh, but there I go talking to my appliances again...” The Daimyo chuckled to herself as she splaying her toes wide, as if inviting the clockwork soldier to lick in-between. “Let me phrase it this way: Unit 8, tell me what you think of that.”

Unit 8 slid her Lord’s toes out of her mouth with an audible pop.

“It is irrelevant, my Lord.”

“Explain to me why,” the woman commanded matter-of-factly, a subtle yet sinister smile now curled on her lips.

Unit 8’s glassy eyes stared blankly at the foot in front of her face. Despite their empty gaze, her cybernetic eyes took in every detail- every nanometer of her Daimyo’s soft skin which now glistened with a sweaty sheen of saliva.

“Unit 8 is an android manufactured by the Yatagarasu Corporation.”

The Daimyo laughed.

“And if I said that logic matrix of yours was a brain?”

“Unit 8 is an android manufactured by the Yatagarasu Corporation. The brain would merely be a component- It would make me as much of a human as the rubber in my assembly would make me a tree.”

Unit 8’s answer was perfect. A satisfied grin crept across the Daimyo’s face before her pleasure possessed her to push  her foot into her thrall’s waiting face, wiggling the toes until her nose was between them.

“Good answer, doll.”

The Daimyo reclined against her throne, allowing herself to relish the sound of a loyal servant at her feet. Sucking, popping, and slurping echoed through the dimly lit hall as Unit 8 fulfilled her sacred duty.

’Loyalty,’ the Daimyo thought, ’That is the way of a samurai.’
