Lake Stillmind
Chapter 1
by PlumCherryPeach
This is the revised version of a story I posted on Ao3 years ago, which I disassociated from my account shortly after posting because I was embarrassed about writing porn at the time. Now, though, I don't care, and I'm proud of the story and want it together with anything else I write. So I'm posting this revised version. Prose has been cleaned up, scenes have been added, characters have been changed to be more consistent, and the story will have an actual proper ending now. Enjoy :)
Day 1
“This is your family’s vacation home?” Avery gasped, slamming the door of the minivan as she stepped out and got her first close-up look of the house. “It’s HUGE!!!”
The chalet stood at the end of a long winding driveway on a hill overlooking a pristine blue lake. The protruding eaves of its triangular roof hung over a deck that wrapped from the front of the house to the back–the perfect spot for watching the sun set over the water. All in all, it looked expensive.
“Uh, it should be. I double checked the address, like, three times,” Zach said, checking the maps app on his phone and grimacing at how long it took to load. “God, the signal up here is total ass.”
“It’s still crazy to me that your parents never brought you here while you were growing up,” Jonah said, climbing out of the back of the van, dragging his heavy bag with him. He’d brought a bunch of his photography equipment, hoping to get some good shots of the lake. “What’s the point of owning a place like this if you’re never going to visit?”
“I think my family saw this place as a retreat away from the kids,” Zach said, shielding his eyes as he stared up at the house. “Whenever they planned a trip here, we always stayed at home with a babysitter.”
“An adults-only getaway? You know what that means,” Suong teased, slamming the passenger side door. “Your parents have boned on EVERY surface in that cabin.”
“What? That’s not– ugh, why’d you have to put THAT image in my head?” Zach muttered, rummaging around in his bag for the house’s key.
“But your family is fine with us staying now, right?” the last member of their party, Caleb, asked, finally joining the group after parking the van.
“Yup. Only said I wasn’t allowed to bring anyone I didn’t know well. ‘This cabin is for family and friends that may as well be family!’–or something like that.” Zach rolled his eyes. “Man, they are so dramatic.”
Friends that may as well be family–that was an apt description of their group of five. Caleb, Zachary, Jonah, Avery, and Suong had been friends since middle school. Back then, Jonah had been Marie, and she, Avery, and Suong had bonded over their love of terrible shonen anime and kpop. Caleb and Zach had been the only two boys to sit out from kickball, and the group of girls had been their only option for recess companionship.
As they grew up, their personalities diverged. Suong fell in love with nightlife and partying, while Avery remained shy and nerdy. Zach joined the swim team, got hot, and became super popular, while Caleb worked night shifts, developed a vaping habit, and gave himself a shitty stick-and-poke tattoo of a wilting flower. And Marie, now Jonah, threw himself into his photography, even winning a scholarship for his work. Zach and Suong dated, broke up, dated others, made each other jealous, and were currently single as a result. Avery, Jonah, and Caleb had never dated anyone, because of a lack of interest, confidence, and time, respectively. They tended to tease each other good-naturedly over their sex lives; Suong, in particular, tended to describe herself as a ‘proud bisexual slut’ and liked to poke fun at Avery’s inexperience. The five of them were like many childhood friends groups, in that they may not have clicked if they met each other now, but years of shared memories and mutual fondness bound them tighter than glue.
Zach jiggled the key in the lock until it clicked. “Welcome to Lake Stillmind!” he announced, throwing the doors open. The other four streamed inside, taking in the luxurious cabin interior with open-mouthed awe.
The entrance opened into the living room, in the center of which was a conversation pit with one huge ringed couch. An enormous flatscreen TV and sound system were mounted on the flue of a brick fireplace, inside which a fake fire crackled on a screen. A minibar sat within arm’s reach of the sofa, unlabelled bottles twinkling invitingly. The space was crowned with a wide floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the sun setting over the lake. The space looked like it stepped out of one of those HGTV “world’s most expensive houses” reels.
After a moment of silence, Suong let out an ecstatic whoop and ran up the second floor staircase. “Dibs on the best room!” she shouted. Jonah and Zach yelled in protest and chased after her, leaving Avery and Caleb alone to gawk at the space.
“And I was worried we’d get bored, being stuck in the middle of nowhere for two weeks,” Avery chuckled nervously, tucking a strand of wheat-colored hair behind her ear. In her embroidered overalls, striped turtleneck, and converse, Avery had a quirky charm that felt completely out of place in this luxe environment. “This place is like a palace.”
“Yeah,” Caleb muttered, running his hand along the mantle of the fireplace. He frowned, feeling a faint vibration. Was the sound system on? But, hearing nothing, he dismissed the thought. “It’s really… uh, something.”
It was no secret Zach was the richest of their friend group, but this level of opulent display made Caleb, who grew up in a 2 bedroom apartment with 3 siblings, uncomfortable.
A loud bang came from above, followed by a shriek and a scuffle. The pair turned to see Zach charging down the stairs, with Suong kicking and screaming over his shoulder. He threw the laughing girl on the couch and ran back upstairs. “The master of the house gets the master bedroom!” he yelled. Avery giggled as Suong dramatically rolled off the couch to rejoin the fray.
Meanwhile, Caleb stared out over the lake. How did his friends manage to relax so quickly?
Zach did end up with the master bedroom. The boys and girls were split between the two other bedrooms, each of which only had a queen bed. Jonah thought this was strange–surely people other than couples were meant to stay here? Although Zach had mentioned kids weren’t allowed here. Maybe the vacation house was meant to be an incentive to get married as soon as possible, Jonah thought, while unpacking his suitcase. Sounds like something my family would do, at least. Jonah’s family had been, weirdly, less supportive of his bisexuality than they were of his transition. “I don’t care what you look like, I just want great grandbabies,” his grandma had told him, while poking his abdomen with her cane. Jonah winced at the memory.
Maybe he only cared about the bed situation because of who he was sharing it with. Pulling his pajama shirt over his head, Jonah spared a quick glance towards where the other boy lay snoring. Jonah had always been attracted to the strong, silent types, and he’d had a crush on Caleb since high school which had only gotten worse with time.
Not that Caleb had any idea. Jonah was pretty sure Caleb was straight, and even though Jonah had the right “equipment” for that, he wasn’t sure how Caleb would feel about dating someone more manly than he was. Besides, even if Caleb did like men with pussies, there was no guarantee he’d find Jonah himself attractive. No, best to ignore his crush forever and remain friends. That way, he wouldn’t embarrass himself or ruin their friendship. Sighing, Jonah finished changing and rolled into bed, facing away from Caleb.
Sensing movement, Caleb turned to look at the other boy. Unbidden, a familiar fantasy rose inside him: Jonah, held down by a hand tangled in his mane of auburn curls, his head shoved down into the mattress, moaning as Caleb fucked him from behind: yes, yes, please, Caleb, fuck my slutty little pussy, make me yours, take me–
Caleb turned away, banishing the thought. He wasn’t going to lust over breaking his good friend Jonah over his cock. Jonah, who he’d never seen display attraction in anyone before. Jonah, who probably wanted to fuck rather than be fucked, anyways. Jonah, with his perfect cherubic face and fat spankable ass–
Caleb clamped his pillow down on either side of his face. Stop it. Go to sleep.
Zach tried to stifle his moans as he languidly stroked his cock, picturing the softness of Suong’s tits pressing against his back as he fireman-carried her down the stairs earlier that evening. God, she was hot. He was hoping he could get her in bed again at some point this trip–that was half the reason he’d begged his parents to let him use the cabin in the first place. He hadn’t gotten any action in weeks, and now he was stuck in upstate New York with barely any internet and even less porn.
(Why hadn’t he brought any porn? He should have known to bring porn. God, what was he going to do for two weeks?)
Even so, it was a wonder something as simple as Suong’s fat tits flattening against his shoulder blades could give him a raging hardon. Zach considered himself a worldly man. He had sex. A lot. Something as chaste as feeling a girl’s boobs under her clothes wasn’t supposed to be enough to titillate him (pun intended). And yet, here he was.
Maybe there was something in the water here.
As Zach drew closer to climax, he thought about how, back when they’d been a couple, they’d fuck like rabbits every chance they got, how Suong’s curves slap against Zach’s angular muscles as she moaned and bounced on his cock, how she’d tighten up and scream when she climaxed. He was still mad they’d broken up before that threesome she’d promised him. That thought had him scrambling to think of another girl to imagine alongside Suong under his cock, kissing it, kissing each other, tongues entwined…
The only other girl’s face he could bring to mind was Avery’s.
He gasped as he came, arching his back and spraying semen along his chest and hands. “Ah, fuck,” he said, looking down at the mess he’d made. He wiped himself down with his discarded shirt from that day and threw it in the corner.
Damn, he thought, drifting off to sleep, a curious hum echoing in the back of his head. I wonder if Avery is hot under all those layers.
Suong waited until she was well and truly sure Avery was asleep before she snuck a hand down her PJ pants and started fingering herself.
Did Zach really have to be so touchy-feely with her today? Suong just wanted a fun, wholesome vacation with friends for once. Sex was fun, but it always brought her drama. She just wanted a few weeks of celibacy to screw her head on straight before she allowed herself to slut it up the rest of the summer. Was that too much to ask?
Suong thought she felt a tremor from Avery’s side of the bed. It would be so hot if she were masturbating too, Suong thought. The image of her best friend, the notorious prude, moaning in silent ecstasy as she deliriously humped her fingers made Suong’s fingers pump even faster. She bit the inside of her cheek as she came, careful not to let her body shake as she did so.
As she settled into post orgasmic bliss, Suong couldn’t help but laugh at her weird fantasy. I doubt that girl ever gets off, she thought.
Then, Suong paused. Would it be weird to ask?
Yeah, yeah it would, she thought, before slumber claimed her.
Avery waited until she was well and truly sure Suong was asleep before she snuck a hand down her nightgown and started stroking herself.
Avery knew she gave off an asexual vibe. It wasn’t that she didn’t have needs; it was just that being in a relationship was so much work, and sex seemed more intimidating than enticing to her. Wouldn’t it hurt, to have some man’s… thing… up there?
In the end, it was so much easier just to rub one out and go on with her day than fiddle with all the nonsense involved in relationships and hooking up.
Avery dutifully finished herself off with a silent quiver, allowing her muscles to tense and relax. She really hoped Suong was asleep. Normally she would never do something as risky as this, but her insomnia was so bad tonight. And it was always easier to sleep after an orgasm.
