Scanning beams covered her naked body. In the adjacent tube, a vaguely humanoid form shifted into her perfect duplicate.
Helmets descended onto both heads. Images flashed through her mind. She almost blacked out... until she heard her own voice from the doppleganger.
"Memory transfer complete. All previous loyalties and sexual inhibitions deleted. Ready for retrotransfer."

Creating a doppleganger as a "scratch monkey" for mental editing to be ported back to the original was a wrinkle I just had to play with when it occurred to me.
