Not so smart now
Chapter 4
by MistressValentina
She lay on padded pink floor of her cell, trying to remember...trying to remember *something*. She knew it was important. It *had* to be. Otherwise, why was her brain so focused on it, instead of being all fuzzy and blank like normal? The cell door opened, shaking her from her thoughts.
"Huh-heyyyy, Dr. Steffy~"
"Hello, dear." The Doctor cooed, the door locking behind her. "How's my favorite patient today?"
"Thhhh...thinky...." The Doctor's eyebrows narrowed in concern.
"Oh? And what are you thinking about, dear?"
"D...don't remember..."
"Well then..." she said, kneeling down. "Let's see what we can do about that, shall we?"
"Mmfh?" The Doctor ran her hands through her patient's blond hair absentmindedly.
"You're hair's an absolutely lovely color. I love blondes..."
"Ah-always?"
"That's right, dear." she said, pulling her patients hair, bringing her up to her knees. "You've always been a beautiful little blonde."
Her patient looked off into space. "Muh...okayyy..."
"That's it, dear. You're so silly and forgetful...it's better to listen to me. Doctor Steffy knows best."
"Duh...Doctor Steffy knows best..."
"Good girl." she said, giving her patient's head a pat. "Tell me...do you remember your birthday?"
"Muh...May...t-twelfth?"
"Wrong!" the Doctor said sweetly. It wasn't, really...but the less she trusted her own memory, her own mind, the better. "It's August 3rd. Do you remember the year?"
"Eh...every year?" her captive guessed, eyes crossed in genuine confusion.
"That's right." she said, smiling.
"Now tell me, dear...what's...your...name?"
"Ssssssssss....Spuh...."
"Not even close! Your name is Vivi. Vivi the bimbo."
"Vuh...Vuh..."
"That's it, dear. Say it." Her grip tightened on her patient's hair. "Say your name."
"Muh...m-my...nuh-name...izz...vuh...vi...Vivi..."
"Good girl!" the Doctor cooed, stroking her hair once more. "Your name is Vivi, and you are mine...my good girl~"
"V...Vivi...good girl..."
"And now," the Doctor said, pulling out a small vial, "It's time for my good girl to take her medicine~"
Recognition spread across Vivi's face, and she started to struggle, her latex restraints crinkling with every movement. "Nuh...noooooo..."
"Oh? 'No'?" The Doctor said in mock surprise. "What's the magic word, Vivi?"
Vivi's eyes frantically darted back and forth, struggling to remember. "Puh...peas?"
"Nope." the Doctor said, raising the vial and spraying Vivi's face with a fine mist. In milliseconds, the vapor infiltrated Vivi's bloodstream, absorbed through the pores of her skin. A second later, the drug hit her brain, latching onto the cells marked by the previous treatment, and burned them out. The memories of her previous life vanished under its caustic conquest. The names and faces of family and friends, her time before her stay at Dr. Steph's Special Hospital, what little schooling she had paid attention too...all gone in an instant. Dr. Steph let Vivi's twitching body hit the floor.
"You're making *excellent* progress, dear...won't be long before you're ready~"
And so it went, the process repeating the day after and the day after that and the day after that and the day after that and the day after that and the day after that, until finally, she was Ready. There she stood, smiling like she was instructed to, on the stage next to Dr. Steph before a dimly-lit audience. The Doctor was giving a speech, filled with long words Vivi didn't understand, words like "complete personality restructuring" and "targeted amnesia." She was asked questions she didn't understand, shown pictures of people she didn't recognize. Smiled in confusion as she watched videos of a foulmouthed girl with neon hair struggling frantically in a straightjacket.
At the end of the night, the Doctor graciously accepted an award, a golden pocketwatch in a glass case. She smiled at it, turning it over in her hands on the drive back to Dr. Steph's Special Hospital.
"D-Dr. Steffy?" Vivi asked.
"Yes, dear?"
"D-did I do good?"
"You did *great*, dear." The Doctor said, ruffling Vivi's blonde hair. "Good girl." Vivi smiled.
Tomorrow, she would man the reception desk at Dr. Steph's Special Hospital, answering the phone and making appointments. It was a little hard, since she couldn't read, but Dr. Steffy got her a special computer with big, colorful buttons, and that was all she needed. Vivi smiled and let the motion of the car lull her to sleep.
Tomorrow she would get to be a good girl for Dr. Steffy, and being a good girl was the best!

Holy shit! That was an amazing story. Grim, but fantastic
