Shelley wakes up after a night at Club Spiral
Shelley regained consciousness on a mattress in an otherwise empty room. There were no windows. There must have been a speaker implanted somewhere because she could hear voices and a tone that was actually rather relaxing if she focused on it. She sat up and looked at herself. She wasn’t wounded anywhere, as far as she could tell, and she was still wearing her clothes from her night at the club, but she had no idea how long she had been out for.
Her little black dress was soiled with sweat and her pantyhose was ripped in places, but that didn’t get many clues. Her shoes and purse were nowhere to be seen.
The club – what happened there? She remembered Nikki being really excited about it – she had finally been let in the weekend before and managed to get invites for herself and some friends. Club Spiral was apparently very exclusive and there were only three ways to get in: to be rich enough, powerful enough or hot enough to satisfy the bouncers. And Nikki, Shelley, Kate and Molly were neither rich nor powerful.
Inside, Shelly remembered spiral motifs everywhere, many of them on screens so they moved and swirled. The club lights in different colors also moved, sometimes seemingly at random and sometimes in spiral patterns. Once inside she found it disorienting at first and almost walked into a pretty young woman, who was staring at one of the moving spirals. She was transfixed by it, completely oblivious to Shelley’s clumsiness and apology.
As her eyes adjusted, though, Shelley’s footing improved and she took in her surroundings. Club Spiral was housed in a kind of warehouse about 50 feet tall and 300 feet long. In the middle the circular lighting rig hung down from the ceiling, over a stage and DJ booth. The main dance floor was there as well, along with the main speakers. A bar, bathrooms, booths and tables were at either end, though only one end had the main entrance and exit and the coat check. Against the walls, three levels of platforms and stairs had been built, for people who wanted a different perspective.
Looking around, she saw that about 90 percent of the people she could see were women, or at least femme-presenting. She wondered about that, since it wasn’t ladies’ night.
Shelley, Kate and Molly sat at a booth while Nikki got them all a glass of Club Spiral’s signature cocktail, Surrender. Shelley remembered it as very strong – a few sips and she became quite giggly and unable to think. When they finished their drinks, Nikki easily got them all on the dance floor, following the spirals and moving to the music. After that, there were only disconnected flashes of memory – she remembered the music changing and the lights becoming a soft pink; she remembered feeling aroused and needy in the pink light; twosomes and threesomes of girls lowered themselves on to the floor, making out passionately.
She remembered that Kate pulled up her dress, writhing on the ground while Molly ate her out – then Molly saw her and said “Come on in, Shelly, there’s plenty of pussy for you, too.” Then she turned and ran to a bathroom, gripped by a fear stronger than her overpowering arousal. Molly and Kate were both straight and had steady boyfriends. She had known them for years and they had never expressed the slightest interest in women. Nikki followed her and spoke soothingly to her, she started feeling calm, then sleepy, then relaxed.
Then there were the spirals. She saw them in her mind’s eye whenever she closed her eyes. She knew they had done something to her, that whatever was going on here was wrong.
The doorknob turned. Shelley made up her mind quickly readied herself by crouching. The door opened and Shelley sprang forwards, knocking down a woman in a lab coat. She was free! She ran down the sterile corridor, not worrying about the direction and as she rounded a corner she could just make out a woman calling into a radio behind her “-- Escaped! Be on the lookout –”
Alarms went off almost immediately and women began pouring out of the various doors she passed. Lost, but with her adrenaline pumping, Shelley dodged people trying to capture her for nearly an hour. She was starting to tire and was hopelessly lost when she turned a corner and there was Nikki.
“Shelley!” she said, hugging her. “Thank God I found you. There’s been a terrible misunderstanding. I’ve come to get you out of here.”
“Misunderstanding?” Shelley said. She let Nikki lead her.
“I should never have dragged you to that awful club,” Nikki said. “You passed out in the ladies’ room, but you left your purse with us at the booth, so the club management had no idea who you were or who you were with. They must have thought you were on drugs because they sent you here, to Brookford – it’s a rehab facility. When you didn’t come back, Kate, Molly and I were worried but figured you’d found some gorgeous George to spend the night with. It wasn’t until you didn’t call us the next day that we realized something was up. That’s when I went back to speak with management and they realized they sent you here.”
“Next day? What day is it?”
Nikki led her by a bewildering way of corridors and doors. Shelley was soon not only still lost, but completely disoriented.
“It’s Tuesday,” Niki said. “But don’t worry, I called your work and told them you had the flu.”
“Thanks,” Shelley said. They stopped outside a door that looked just like every other door in the facility. “Where are we?”
“Right where we need to be,” Nikki said, opening the door. “After you.”
Shelley entered the new room and screamed. Molly and Kate were there, naked, on a gigantic bed. They were eating each other out, but what made her scream was their eyes. Their pupils had disappeared, leaving their eyes perfectly white. She whirled around. Nikki had already closed the door and Shelley saw that her eyes, too, were blank.
“You must join us,” Nikki said. “You must obey. The spirals control you now.”
Nikki felt her head spin, like she drank more Surrender. The hidden speakers in the room increased in volume. It was the same song she had fled from. The lights went pink. She felt something wet around her ankles and looked down to see Molly and Kate kissing her legs. Arousal built within her.
“Obey,” Nikki said.
“Obey,” Kate said.
“Obey,” Molly said.
“No!” Shelley shouted. “I won’t oh . . . oh . . . obey. I . . . obey.”
She sank to her knees, her mind overwhelmed by the power of the spirals. Her pupils faded from her eyes.
Two weekends later, Dana stood in the line for Club Spiral with her friend Shelley. She was very excited. She had heard how exclusive the club was and how you onl;y got in if you were rich enough, powerful enough or hot enough – and Dana was neither rich nor powerful.
“Remember, when we get in there, just relax and let go and you’ll have a wonderful time,” Shelley said.
