Confusion

“ . . . And when I snap in your left ear, you’ll go back into trance,” Suzy said, snapping her fingers in my left ear for emphasis. “And when I snap my fingers in your right ear, you’ll be awake and aware.”
She snapped her finger in my right ear this time. “Do you understand?”
“Yeah, I got it,” I said.
She began snapping in different ears. It didn’t take long before I was very fractionated. Thinking got hard and each time she woke me up, I was more groggy and out of it. That was when her pattern changed. Instead of one snap in one ear and one in the other, she started snapping multiple times in my left ear, sending me even deeper. Then she snapped a few times in my other ear, raising me from trance slightly, but then it was back to snapping in my left ear.
I don’t know how long this went on, but after experiencing this time ceased to have much meaning. All I knew was that at some point, my brain had fixed on the association that snap equals drop.
So when Suzy began snapping in my right ear at the same time, I didn’t know what to think or feel. In fact, thinking pretty much stopped.
She kept me like that for a bit, running her fingers through my hair, before bringing me out of trance. It took a bit of time for me to get my bearings before we could even do aftercare, my head was swimming that much.
