Wake up, Samantha! Wake up now!

Every previous time before that Mary’s words had pulled Samantha back to reality the older woman felt dizzy in a warm, sleepy, tired sort of way. After Mary left, no longer sending Samantha right back down the moment she’d started to recover, there had been a rejuvenating aspect to the experience. Sure she’d spent at least half an hour soaking in the restful, dizzying feeling, but it felt as though She had just awoken from a long nap.

This time, there was no chance to indulge in the haze.

I need to be more than just awake… Samantha fluttered her eyes, trying to force her vision to focus. I need to be alert! Her hands rose to her face, slapping on both of her cheeks at once as hard as she could. It left behind a lingering redness, but she hadn’t thought that far ahead. I need to make sure that Chloe doesn’t have any reason at all to suspect anything!

Without any additional fanfare the door was pushed open, Chloe coming into view with the knob in one hand and her keyring in the other. “Don’t worry about Mary, I’m sure that she’s just fine and we’ll catch up la—Mary!”

To her credit, Mary hadn’t taken the situation any less seriously. It hadn’t been long between pushing Samantha to awaken and the actual opening of the door, but Mary had moved quick. She was sitting comfortably on a nearby chair, tapping at her phone. She was in view of the front door, but even that was calculated: It was the most comfortable chair in Samantha and Chloe’s home. Being there period could potentially be taken very poorly, but at least being there made perfect sense.

“Guess it’s not so bad you didn’t make it to practice, huh?” Jennie laughed, shaking her head as she followed Chloe inside.

Willow was directly behind her, just like Mary would have expected. “At least most of us did, so it wasn’t so bad. You know I’ll always be there to cheer you on, Jen! I’m your number one fan!”

Jennie grinned proudly as behind all of them Hellen stared at Willow in disbelief. When Hellen’s gaze turned to Jennie the amount of silent judgement multiplied by a factor of ten. “Which everybody else already knew… didn’t expect to see you here, Mary. What’s up?”

Relax.

Mary smirked. It would be weird if she didn’t wear some kind of self-amused expression, and the young woman was self-aware enough to understand that. “I thought I could go to practice where all of you would be expecting me, or I could surprise Chloe when she got home. One of those sounded less dramatic, so I’m here instead.” She shrugged, still tapping at her phone.

Samantha breathed a sigh of relief as she rose up like nothing had happened at all and made her way to the kitchen. She could still hear everyone just fine, but breaking line of sight gave her a few extra moments to flutter her eyes and catch her breath.

Thank you, Mary, for knowing how to handle yourself! She laughed, a soft quiet sound so low there was no way anyone else could have heard her even if the door wasn’t still open. I’d almost worry that this is something you’ve done before… but who would it even be with? When would you find the time?

“Awww…! I really have been wanting to hang out with you, so that works out!” Chloe slid her backpack off of her shoulders. Hellen raised a curious eyebrow that Mary wasn’t looking the right direction to see. Looking busy with her own thing was Mary’s own way of giving herself time to recover, and it was working much better than she’d hoped. “Laney took a spike to the nose, and it was a big mess. Coach was busy taking care of things, so practice ended early.”

“Sucks for Laney, but I definitely would have been way too careful to be on my ‘A’ game, anyway.” Jennie shuddered, tugging off her shoes as Hellen pulled the door closed behind them. “I couldn’t blame ‘Nica for being so shaken up and insisting on following along with Laney. It was an obvious accident, but that was a direct hit.”

Mary winced. The mental images her head conjured up quickly became unsettling. I didn’t even like Laney much and I still hope that’s not as bad as it sounds… “Ouch. Yeah, probably a good call. I wasn’t waiting long—took my time getting over here. Was probably going to get started on my homework—figured that’d be what you were up to, Hellen.”

Hellen rolled her eyes. “I might care about my grades, but I get started on my homework while Jennie and Chloe are at practice all the time. You’re the flake.”

“Guilty!” Mary raised a hand from her phone, giving a very lazy wave as her other thumb continued to tap. “What I make up for in flakeyness I make up for in quality when I’m around. Quality over quantity.”

“Definitely!” Chloe laughed as she made her way over to Mary, smiling own at her before holding out her arms to offer her friend a hug. “I’m really glad you showed up!”

Finally recovered enough to trust her voice, Samantha called out from the kitchen before Mary could respond to Chloe. “Hello, girls! Can I get any of you anything? A snack? Something to drink?”

I think I pulled that off! Samantha breathed a sigh of relief. Her panties were still ruined, but none of them needed to know that. If any of them were in a position to find that out things were going to be bad anyway. Thank goodness…! I’ll need to talk to Mary about being more careful… We probably shouldn’t take risks like this…

Mary accepted Chloe’s hug, squeezing her friend close. There was an unmistakable familiarity, but she bit back the impulse to comment on it with a crooked grin on her face. As much of a power move as it would be to say that squeezing mother and daughter close felt so similar, it would ruin everything.

Her panties were just as ruined as Samantha’s.

The last thing she wanted to do was ruin their affair.

In short order all of the friend group was inside, backpacks and shoes strewn near the door, taking up a majority of the cozy but not oppressively small living room’s seating. “Some water would be great, Mrs. Kerr!” Jennie called out a little louder than she needed to. Hellen rolled her eyes.

Willow, who was naturally sitting right beside Jennie, raised her hand and waved it as though Samantha was able to see from the kitchen. “I’d love some water, too, Mrs. Kerr!”

Rolling her eyes, Hellen let out a quiet sigh. “Water sounds good.”

Chloe hugged Mary tighter, seemingly not willing to let go of her bestie quite yet. Mary didn’t let go even if she didn’t squeeze back quite as tight. “Some water for everyone seems like a good idea, Mom! Sound good to you, Mary?”

“Mm…” Mary made a quiet, thoughtful little sound, briefly squeezing Chloe a little tighter before finally letting go even if Chloe’s embrace lingered. “Actually, if you have any diet soda that would be great? Long days at school always kinda tire me out, but it’s not like I’m going to take a nap or something. Especially not now. A little extra fuel to get me through would help.”

“Four waters and a diet soda!” Samantha called out in a very familiar, cheerful tone as she set herself to work filling glass after glass.

When Chloe finally pulled back she didn’t find a seat somewhere like on the couch, or another chair. She sat on the arm of the chair Mary was sitting on instead, smiling down at her friend who looked up from her phone with a little smile of her own.

“I don’t have a tray—and I’d probably spill everywhere unless it was the kind with the handles, so this is going to take me a few trips!” Samantha set down the first two glasses in front of Willow and Jennie. Even the flush from her cheeks was gone.

As she turned to head back into the kitchen, Mary rose out of her seat. “Let me help, then. I’ve got two hands.”

Chloe’s face vaguely shifted, not quite into another expression before it was unreadable as different from before. Hellen raised an eyebrow, and actually spoke. “Well aren’t you helpful today, Mary.”

“What can I say.” Mary shrugged as she followed Samantha into the kitchen, “I’m pretty great.”

Hellen rolled her eyes again.

Chloe giggled.

It wasn’t a very long walk to the kitchen, and as soon as they arrived Samantha looked back to Mary. Her brows were furrowed with concern, but her lips stretched in a shy smile. Her eyes twinkled with so many conflicting desires and impulses.

So many of them she fought down as deep as she could.

“I’ll… pour your soda.” Samantha whispered as quietly as she could. There was nothing scandalous about it, but just being alone with Mary—even the illusion of it—had Samantha quivering and her heart beating faster. She tried to ignore the myriad of excited feelings, but they refused to be denied, only becoming more and more prominent despite Samantha’s mental protesting.

“You’re so sweet, Samantha…” Mary whispered back, grabbing up the half-empty pitcher of water as she started filling the first glass. “Wanting to serve me like that…” She grinned, her eyes hooding with a dark, mischievous bent. “You deserve a reward.”

Samantha’s thighs pulled themselves together impossibly tight and clenched so hard she couldn’t stop herself from fluttering her eyes. “Mary…!” Her voice was harsher, but still so quiet—careful. “They’re right there, my daughter, your friends—”

“Kiss~.”

A quiet mewl flowed from Samantha’s lips as her eyes lost the faintest bit of their focus. Her posture slackened, but she’d only just unscrewed the cap to the diet soda, thankfully avoiding any loud noises or sticky messes to explain. Her next breath in was sharper, her lips quivering as her hips rolled in a singular, dramatic motion.

Mary’s lips pressed right to the most sensitive places inside of her brain, and everything went so sweetly blank.

Overwhelmed.

It was the exact kind of kiss that Samantha loved the most—a kiss that left her breathless and panting. The world didn’t come back right away, but that made it better. She could stay in the liminal space of the kiss ending but the rest of life not having quite caught up to yet just yet.

Nothing compared to an orgasm, but it was a feeling she could never hope to give herself.

Ohhh that felt… feels… so… nice…

Mary grinned a little deeper, looking back towards the living room. No sign of anyone. No sound that anyone was curious what was going on in the kitchen. She glanced between Samantha and the direction of her living room several more times before she quickly darted in, lips making a brief stop on the older woman’s cheek, before she sauntered her way out.

She’s yours, Mary. Mary couldn’t wipe the smugness off of her face as she set a glass of water down in front of Hellen, and then handed the other to Chloe. Head to toe. Mind and body.

Chloe smiled warmly as her fingers brushed Mary’s. She took a slow sip as she watched Mary settle down into the chair. “Thank you!”

“No problem.” Mary winked.

Jennie was saying something about volleyball, and Willow was nodding along as she listened with a fascination that bordered on obsession. Hellen sipped at her water, looking amongst the group as a quiet observer. Chloe chimed in with Jennie.

Mary couldn’t focus on any of it, her lips still buzzing with the forbidden, delicate taste of Samantha.

It just takes one word, and you can make her shudder like that. Think of what you’ll be able to make her do in a week—or a month? Mary smiled up at Chloe. She’d said something to her that ended in “huh?” and Mary nodded along like she’d heard it all and was actually paying attention. By then she’ll be your puppet! When that’s fun, anyway. Samantha deserves more than only being used like that, but it’s a fun place to start.

It wasn’t particularly easy, but Mary forced herself to actually put some effort into paying attention. Sports weren’t something she cared about on a good day, but she was capable of taking an interest in the things her friends cared about. They never forced her to have any deep insights or that might be a problem.

Not far away, and left in a daze, Samantha stared through the empty cup in front of her.

I was doing… something…? She fluttered her eyes, and a shiver shot right down her spine. The world was slowly blooming back into her awareness, and with it the intimate knowledge that Mary had disregarded her warning entirely.

Unlike she expected, there was no feeling of violation or discomfort.

There was only excitement and arousal.

Mary triggered me with all of her friends… just in the living room…! Samantha rubbed her thighs together, trying to calm her breathing as difficult as it was. Does she have any idea how dangerous that was…? Does she enjoy the risk, or could she just not… wait…?

Does she want me that much…?

Finally her eyes processed that what she was staring at was an empty glass.

It was a glass meant for Mary.

A naughty thrill trembled through Samantha as she slowly poured in her young lover’s requested soft drink. No one would know that it was an act of obedience.

No one but Mary.

It would probably be better if I could tell her that I don’t want her to do that again… but… Samantha fanned a hand at her face, taking a deep breath as she put the bottle of soda away. As long as she’s careful… It is exciting.

As long as she never does that when Janice is home…

A lump tightened in her throat, but Samantha used that to keep the arousal off of her face as she carried the soda to Mary. “Here you go! Sorry, I wanted to pour it carefully.”

“No problem, Samantha!” Mary raised her glass, laughing as Chloe took the motion as an excuse to tap their glasses together. “That wasn’t what I was going for, but I’ll take it. To good friends and wonderful hostesses?”

Samantha’s cheeks lightly pinkened, but it wasn’t the first time that Mary made her blush.

The older woman did her best to not think about what that could mean.

“Yeah, thanks Mrs. Kerr!” Jennie raised her glass, too, and Willow soon mimicked Chloe’s motion with a far too excited smile on her face. Hellen raised her own glass, not pressing it to anyone else’s before she took a long, slow drink.

“Just doing my part to make sure everyone enjoys themselves! Help yourselves to anything you need from the kitchen—I’m going to get out of your hair!” Samantha waved to the girls, and Mary raised her glass a little higher.

Samantha didn’t let herself wait before she left, waving behind herself at the gathered young women.

When she finally reached the stairs, she paused and peeked back at her daughter laughing, and her young lover parting her lips to speak. Their eyes met with Mary’s again gaining that faint mischievous edge. “I know, life would be a lot easier if I was more of a kiss up but that’s just not how I work.”

Fighting back the gasp, Samantha clung to the hand railing for a long moment before she regained enough strength and focus to make her way to her room. Her eyes hadn’t lost focus, and she hadn’t felt the same jolt over her whole body. It was something small, and private, hidden in plain sight like Mary’s hand stroking her outer thigh with everyone else on the other side of a high counter.

Thrilling, but nothing too thrilling.

Too far to explain if someone saw, but not enough to make her writhe.

“Well you’re always nice to me, bestie, and that’s all I really care about!” Chloe wrapped an arm around Mary’s far shoulder, and squeezed her in for an awkward side hug.

Mary sighed, reaching out to return the hug with her hand reaching Chloe’s hip. “I didn’t say I was a jerk. I’m still nice to all of the cool people… I just don’t see the point in kissing ass when I don’t have to.” She couldn’t be sure if Samantha was still in earshot. She couldn’t see her, but that wasn’t the point.

It was exciting to know that she could affect her from any range as long as Samantha heard her.

Maybe coming over today was a bad idea… but I think it worked out fine!

Hellen coughed. “I’m not cool.” She adjusted her glasses, and everyone else laughed. “I have never been cool. I will never be cool.”

“Okay then!” Mary snorted, and Hellen smirked. “How about people I like?”

Chloe laughed and squeezed Mary a little tighter. “I think that’s about the best phrasing you’ll be able to find! Hellen is always reading too much into things!”

“Trust me. I know.” Mary rolled her eyes, and looked over to Hellen. She wasn’t sure if the other woman was looking at her suspiciously, or if she was just imagining things. The conversation moved on, and Mary did her best to not keep glancing back to Hellen to try reading her face.

You’re just worried because you know you were fucking around. No one else has any reason to suspect anything at all. You’re the weird friend, remember?

Willow laughed, and leaned against Jennie.

The lovesick one around here is her. That’s distracting enough.

Mary might have been trying to look anywhere but Hellen, but Chloe’s eyes kept drifting back to Mary. There was no judgement, or concern, just a very similar look to the ones that Willow kept giving Jennie.
