The residential district of Luaset shared many of the city’s other divisions, though slightly more intermixed than the stark divides between wealthy areas full of the upper classes and the more common areas. The structures here could vary wildly as such with varying degrees of ornamentation and decoration, many areas built up over time to rise ever skywards, though most of the buildings stopped at the seventh floor. As Cloud and Minoko traveled to Minoko’s place of living, they went past the lower and working class areas, and even past the middle class. For whatever reason, it would seem that Minoko lived on the third floor of a building just on the edge of the upper class area of the district.
Entering the room, the first thing Cloud noticed was the level of disarray it was in. It wasn’t messy, it was just cluttered and disorganized with varying piles of tools and parts painstakingly grouped together on tables and counters, but seemingly left on those surfaces in the apartment at random. She’d have to fix that if she is going to live here for a while.
The next thing to marvel over for Cloud was the amount of space that Minoko appeared to have in her apartment. It was a single bedroom, single bathroom, living room, and kitchen. Which was pretty standard, even Cloud’s room at the University had that, but Cloud would guess that each room here was at least double the size of her dorm’s rooms in comparison. Yes, she could get used to a place like this. It only motivated Cloud to strengthen her hold on Minoko even more.
“While I’m here I can help tidy things up a bit.” Cloud said as she looked around the apartment. “I’m really impressed you’re able to snag a place like this.”
Minoko hid her face from Cloud’s view, her thoughts racing. She didn’t think the place was too bad, maybe a little clutter here and there, but it’s not like she was expecting company! “No need to worry about that. We just need to get things sorted for you at the university, so it shouldn’t be more than a couple days.”
Cloud, not hiding the fact that she’s a snoop, took a peek into Minoko’s closet. Amongst the normal everyday items of apparel, Cloud was able to gleam the barest hint of outfits that one would find to be very unusual. She wanted to examine further, but Minoko quickly closed the closet door with a blushing splutter. “Hey, I like you Cloud, but you need to respect my space while I’m here.”
Cloud reached out, her fingers lightly brushed along Minoko’s fox ears. She was happy to get a better grasp of how far she can take things with Minoko, but what about if she pushed a bit more? She looked into Minoko’s eyes as she spoke. “Of course cutie, I understand completely. I just got a little carried away. First time over at the home of the girl I’m falling in love with. I got excited.” As she spoke she started to focus her hypnotic aura into her eyes. Her gray gaze would seem so much more alluring, it would be so easy to find oneself staring deeply into her eyes.
And that is just what Minoko was doing. Her tail wagged behind her as she leaned up towards Cloud’s touch. “I get that, I’m sure I’d be the same way. I really wanted to see you.” Minoko felt her eyes lingering on Cloud’s, there was a part of her that was panicking a little. Was it rude to stare like this? She felt so embarrassed. She wrung her hands together wondering what she had to do. And of course, she continued to stare into Cloud’s captivating eyes.
“Not you, my adorable and cute Minoko. You’re the sort who’s always calm. I bet even in a situation like this, you’re finding it easier to focus on what’s important. Making sure I’m feeling safe and welcome.” Cloud’s voice took on a more seductive tone, her fingers still brushing and petting Minoko’s hair and ears.
“Of course.” Minoko replied, her thoughts already starting to calm down. She knew she could always handle things so long as she knew what to focus on. Her fidgeting naturally stopped. Her hands are still rubbing together even as Cloud inches closer.
“That’s right. And I feel very safe and welcome now. I think it’s because I’m looking into your eyes. The more I focus on your eyes. The more you notice everything else around you starts to fade away.” Cloud’s hand moved down to cup Minoko’s cheek. She could feel the foxy floof was slipping into her trance. Now she just had to lead her deeper into it. “It’s like all of your focus is being pulled to my eyes, but that’s not the only thing being pulled. It’s also your thoughts. My eyes are pulling your thoughts and control out of you now.”
Minoko’s hands dropped down to her sides. She could feel the world starting to fade off. Cloud’s eyes started to become all she could see. Something… something felt off about this whole thing. She blinked and tried to look away, she needed to gather her thoughts. It’s just. Those thoughts were becoming so hard to gather. She was trying to think of something to say. Or to just move. Her hand slowly raised up and found its way to Cloud’s chest.
“There’s no resisting Minoko. You’re sinking deeper. You’re losing yourself. Losing control. You feel so weak, so blank. Just let go” she felt the hand on her chest and lightly pushed it down. “No more thoughts Minoko. You’re too blank. Too empty now.”
Minoko’s hand fell to her side. She was too blank now. All she could do was stare into Cloud’s eyes and listen to her voice. It was so nice to let go and just follow along. She loved Cloud, and trusted her with everything. That love and trust make it so easy for her to be deeply hypnotized. And when you’re so deep in trance, you’re also very obedient.
“So obedient now.” Cloud said, still staring into Minoko’s eyes. She felt like she could get off on that look alone. The emptiness of Minoko’s gaze. The subtle sway of her stance, as though the floof was struggling to stand. “You want to be more obedient so you’re going to strip for me. Removing even more of your mind and control as you do.”
She moved automatically, not thinking about it, just obeying. That’s one of the great things about being obedient. She could just do. So Minoko stripped, she obeyed, she gave up more and more of herself. Something she could see, as blank and gone as she was, was how Cloud squirmed. Her elfin lover was so openly aroused and turned on by her obedience. It only made her want to do more to please Cloud.
Cloud herself was a bit too distracted to notice how Minoko was reacting to her own arousal. Cloud’s nipples perkily showing from under her tight top. “Now, stand still, at attention for me. Stare ahead. Becoming more empty, gone, my plaything.” Seeing Minoko’s body stiffen in place make Could shiver in pleasure, and it gave her idea. She opened Minoko’s closet once again.
Minoko’s body straightened. Tight. Stiff. Stuck. She stared vacantly ahead. She was starting to lose even her sense of self. Cloud’s plaything. That sounded right. She was dripping in arousal. An outfit. Yes, she owned a latex bodysuit, it was an integral part of her cosplay of the sexy phantom thief Ezra. Slipping it on, she felt Cloud’s touch assisting, and groping, and a few hard kisses. She moaned in heat, and was ecstatic to be used like the plaything that she was.
Cloud panted for a moment as she tried to regain her composure. She allowed herself a distraction in helping Minoko suit up. She made a mental note to make her sexy little tranceslut more aware next time. Hypnotized cuties seem to struggle with moving and thinking and this bodysuit required a bit more of both than what Minoko currently had. Leaning in close she started to whisper more thoughts into Minoko’s ear.
She was dressed in a tight black latex outfit. Minoko knew she was a drone. Deep down she had always been, she just needed someone like Cloud to activate and program her. Cloud was her programmer. Which meant she loved, adored, obeyed, and needed Cloud on a level that was ingrained into who she is. “drone loves it’s programmer.” Her voice sounded so robotic, so enslaved, so hot. Hearing herself talk like this only made things more intense for her.
“You really do.” Cloud said, with a grin and a tug of Minoko’s nipple even through the bodysuit. While she wanted to link pleasure with Minoko’s obedience, Cloud also wanted to add layers of control that slipped deep into the floof’s personality. That way it wasn’t just about getting off. So Cloud made sure to further instill love, addiction, and submission into Minoko’s mind. The fox girl was simply obedient to Cloud. It was just that simple.
“Now.” Cloud said, “I want you to picture in your mind, a control panel. This panel controls everything about your mind and body, and luckily for you. I have full access to it. You couldn’t imagine anyone more suited for access, isn’t that right?”
“Yes Cloud… Thank you…” Minoko sounded so robotic, so lost in trance.
“Of course my sexy drone. Now the important thing to remember is that when I shift one of your dials or switches you won’t be aware of me doing it on a conscious level. Your mind will simply process the action, analyze the best course to take, and then obey. All of this will be automatic. Won’t it?”
“Process… Analyze… Obey… Automatic…” Minoko replied slowly.
“Good drone.” Cloud reached out caressing Minoko’s cheek. “And if I want to return you to this state of programming. I just have to place my finger on your forehead, and slowly slide it down.” She demonstrated by doing the action as she explained it to Minoko. “Now that all of that is settled.” She leaned in close and started to whisper once again into Minoko’s ear.
The drone didn’t need to remember being hypnotized. What really happened was that Cloud looked into her closet and they started to talk about the fun outfits. Minoko changed into the latex, they got handsy, kissy, and mmmm, she fucking loved that. She adores when Cloud is handsy and affectionate. But now they were talking about the outfit with a…
Minoko blinked, looking around for a moment. “What is it cutie?” Cloud asked, sitting on the love seat in the living room. Minoko was holding a cute pose. She was bent at the waist, hands clasped behind her back, her front zipper almost totally undone. “I thought I heard a snap or something?” She wondered aloud before continuing her commentary. “Anyway. The Phantom Thief Erza would often seduce her prey with poses like this.” She grinned, looking at Cloud seductively.
“And is that what you’re trying to do now?” Cloud responded playfully.
“Mmm, I would never.” Minoko’s tail swayed happily behind her. “I still have no idea how you convinced me to dress in this.”
Cloud beckoned Minoko closer, the fox girl immediately obeyed, kneeling at Cloud’s feet. “That’s because I told you to. It’s just that simple. Feel me turn your fuzzy dial up a setting now.”
“Just that… Simple.” Minoko said, her eyes glazing over a moment. She was a simple girl around Cloud. It made it simple to obey. Simple to be her submissive self. Simple to…. She blinked again. “What was I saying?”
Cloud giggled, “You’re so forgetful sometimes cutie. I was reminding you about that other girl we met before. And this meeting she proposed.”
If Minoko was confident about anything, it was her memory. Still, she can be so forgetful sometimes. Cloud said so after all.
The two of them talked about the best course of action to take. Minoko was against going at all. She figured that if Cloud was having some issue at the university she should go up to the directors and see about getting some sort of safety or immunity. Cloud wanted to see what this meeting was about. She could only assume that the teacher had sold her out to whatever faction was creating slaves, to do who knows what, and added her to the list. If there were other factions then she needed to see what they were about. In the end it was decided that Cloud would go to the meeting place while Minoko would spend her time tidying the place up. It was important for her to do that since Cloud was staying for a bit after all.
After taking a moment to get ready, Cloud left Minoko to do her cleaning and made the trip to the meeting place. It was about a half hour walk when you included the quick train ride to the docks. A strange meeting ground, since the docks were probably the most shady area of the city. A lot of people regularly came and went, and the police force’s presence here was near non-existent. Cloud walked with a confident purpose, but she was also ready to break out into a run at the first sign of trouble. Thankfully she didn’t need to as she found the address she was provided with, which led to a sigh. A fucking strip club? Tits Out Mind Lost. Real classy name.
Walking into the place she realized that she must stand out like a, well, like a pure and innocent college student who would never go to a strip club at the docks. She felt the eyes of everyone on her. She wanted to back down and just leave, and she would have, if not for a bubbly wolf girl waving at her. “Heeeeey Babe! Come on over here! Mommy got us a special room!” Was that the girl from before? The one who gave her the message? Why was she dressed and acting like such a bimbo? Cloud was stunned to see the once gothic looking floof now bouncing her tits and waving at Cloud. Now this girl stood out! Unable to escape now she lowered her gaze and walked over to the wolf girl. “Come ooooooon! Like! Mommy is waiting!” She giggled, taking Cloud’s hand.
“Oh mah gawd, you wouldn’t believe, like, the number of creeps at places like this.” The floof said as she led Cloud to one of the special back rooms. Once they entered her demeanor changed. “Fuck, you better appreciate what I just did.”
“I don’t understand. Why?” Cloud stammered.
“Just a bit of a cover.” Said a voice from the end of the room. “Your type doesn’t enter a place like this without good reason. You stand out, so I had someone stand out even more. If anyone was watching, odds are they’d remember Mumei far more than you.”
Looking at this person Cloud was able to see that she was another elf like her. If Cloud looked like someone in their early twenties, this person was more late twenties. For the casual observer it might not seem like much, but to elves, this would be in the area of near 300 years of experience. She also had this aura about her that caused a shiver from Cloud, there was a menacing aura around her, a feeling like this person should not be angered. Her eyes were a cold purple color that looked through Cloud, causing her to shrink and wilt before her slightly. Whoever this person was she could see everything about her with her piercing gaze.. “Thank you. I didn’t know I was that important.” Cloud commented.
This new mysterious figure took her eyes off of Cloud and took a sip from her glass, allowing Cloud to take a better observation of the mysterious figure before her. This other elf was imposing even beyond the aura she gave off. Her frame a testament to her athletic physique. Her shoulder length hair was dyed in a striking black color that held streaks of a deep dark purple. Her eyes held an unnerving amethyst hue that gave off a predatory gleam of thoughts that were both captivating and unsettling. She wears a black hued three piece suit that accentuates her curves without sacrificing any of the elegance one would expect. The jacket fit perfectly around her shoulders, the sleeves ending just above her hands. Beneath it lies a deep gray shirt with a high collar and cuffs. Each button fashioned with precision. The trousers are tailored to hug snugly around her legs, ending in dress shoes polished to perfection. The tie she wore was a bloody red color that slipped between her above average sized breasts. All in all, whoever this was, she looked the part of some sort of sinister slave trade organizer. Cloud silently cursed at herself for clearly walking into a trap. “You’re not important, but there are eyes on the lookout for you. You made quite the impression after all. First you single handedly thwart a plan to kidnap and enslave a valuable target, by hypnotizing their hypnotist. Then you get close to said target and escape the attempt to collect you. Originally I had Mumei watching you as bait. They’d hypnotize you, lead you to one of their processing hubs, and my people would swoop in and clean it up. Now I’ve got to think of a new plan.”
“Wait, a new plan? You were just going to let me get enslaved or something? Who even are you? What the hell is all this?”
Looking slightly annoyed the mysterious elf replied, “You can call me Kuusho, I’m an administrator at Sakia University. This is my assistant Mumei Bachie. The University itself serves a number of purposes, and the graduation rate is much lower than the numbers would indicate. This is because of the five factions that hold the power on campus, and the myriad goals that each faction has. The one you’ve run afoul of is overseen by Kay Gremory, a vampire who’s also one of the founders of the university.”
For Cloud this was a lot of information to take in. She had heard of Kuusho, also one of the founders of the university. She was banished from elven society ages ago for her untraditional ways of thinking. While elves were generally peaceful by nature and rarely involved in society outside of their own, Kuusho had earned status from past wars and military operations. It was around 200 years ago that she fought as a mercenary for humans against the prior monarchy. There was a rumor that one of the turning points was thanks to the assassination of General Baccus, which coincidentally was sighted as the reason for her banishment. If memory served, Cloud recalled Kuusho’s elfin name was Light. However, banishment resulted in the loss of that name as a symbol of shame.
The next bit of information to take in was the existence of a vampire working in such an important position. It was believed that creatures like that were all but wiped out in the final blood war, another conflict Kuusho was well known for her involvement. What was this university, really? “Gremory happens to enjoy finding students who are weak enough to be made into thralls with minimal effort. She’s all about quantity over quality. I’m sure you noticed something off about the person you hypnotized, right?”
Brought back to the present Cloud nodded in reply, “They stone walled my interrogation. I figured it was just powerful conditioning.”
“In part. The other part is just that they had a very weak mind. So Gremory could easily shatter it.” Kuusho took another sip of drink, looking at Cloud with her intense gaze, seeing how the girl would react to everything.
“So Gremory finds weak students, breaks their mind, and uses them to gather slaves for her?”
“Or whatever task she has in mind for them. There’s no way to trace it back to her, since they’ll just die due to hypnotic suggestions if they become too compromised. She has a few of the teachers and other staff members on her side, they’re all in it for the low risk high reward paydays.”
Cloud felt a need to sit down. “And so they wanted to target me to shut me up? What are you after?”
“I would rather talent not get turned into a brainless puppet and sold off to a place like this.” Kuusho nodded at the door behind her, “If you think the strippers here are here of their own free will, then I’m afraid you’d be mistaken. Slave labor in the city is far more common than people realize.”
“What’s next then?” Cloud knew that Kuusho wasn’t exactly outside of the slavery business, but that only felt like a small component of things. What sort of business was she really in? And why was she helping her? She had to have some ulterior motive beyond just wanting to preserve talent.
Seemingly reading Cloud’s thoughts, Kuusho gave a crooked smile, “Next, you have to pass a test. If you can, you’ll prove yourself able to work for me. I can give you a bit of protection, money, and the chance to move up in the world. And if you fail? You’ll enjoy working here until you’re all used up.”
Cloud turned pale at the offer she was given. This club was probably one of Kuusho’s fronts. The dancers, people who failed her test? Or did they just get in her way? She could picture what being used up meant. To make things worse, this wasn’t an offer she could refuse. She was in the den of the snake. “What’s the test?”
Kuusho finished her drink and set it on the table in front of her. “In three months, I’ll find or contact you. Then I’ll snap my fingers, and if you keep your thoughts, then you pass.” She reached out her hand, her finger resting on Cloud’s chin, causing the elf to look her in the eyes. Cloud couldn’t move or resist. “I’ll even help you out. You see. Each of the factions recruit students of promise. The first year classes are all to give you basic instruction and to teach you how to develop your hypnotic aura. You’ve passed that part of your studies. Part two is all about refinement. Do you think you’re ready for that?”
Cloud swallowed hard and willed herself to step back. She wasn’t going to be the scared prey that Kuusho was trying to force her to be. She looked into Kuusho’s eyes with a sense of defiance. “I won’t be like them. I won’t lose and I’ll play things my way in the end. So teach me what you will and I’ll use it to become even stronger.”
Kuusho’s smile softened, her eyes lighting up for the briefest moment with a flash of excitement. “Good answer. Now. Pay attention. Close your eyes. Focus on your mana, that hypnotic power within you. Normally, the way you use it is to imbue something with that power, but you can use it to push back against the power of another. If you focus your hypnotic energy around yourself, you can create a sort of bubble, this will dampen the effect others have on you. It’s important that this bubble you make is not hypnotic, because then you’re just wasting energy. And let me be clear. This won’t completely protect you, but it will allow you to resist and fight back. That is where your fundamentals come in. Understand?”
Cloud was trying to follow Kuusho’s instruction, but it’s not the easiest thing to do. Surrounding yourself in a way that’s not hypnotic is counter intuitive to how they’re taught to use their hypnotic aura. She was struggling. “Ugh, I don’t get it. It feels weird.”
“There’s another exercise to do that can refine your energy, help you focus, and use your mana in a more versatile way. This is the second lesson.” Kuusho held out her hand, and on each finger there was a small ball of swirling light and color. Strangely, while fascinating to look at. It didn’t seem hypnotic to Cloud. “Using the same principle. You can create a ball with your mana. There are a number of hypnotists who will use this technique to also make a hypnotic object. This is the basis of magic. Hypnotists use illusionary magic to entrance subjects from afar, but this exercise is also helpful to build and strengthen your mana. First try to make one ball, then condense it as small as you can. Once it’s small enough. Make a second until.” Kuusho smiled as she was slowly surrounded by small sparkles of light, twinkling all around her. “For you, a ball will do.” She said with a wink. Before Cloud could reply, Kuusho cut her off. “Mumei will walk you home. Remember, you have three months.”
“I still have questions.” Cloud spoke up, but it was clear she was dismissed. Mumei took her hand and walked her out of the room.
“I’m sure you’ll get more answers if you pass your test.” Cloud had failed to notice when Mumei had changed, but once again she was in her normal gothic attire, and the pair slipped out of the club quietly. “Kuusho might come off as being harsh, but she’s very caring and understanding to those she gets closer towards.”
Cloud sighed as they walked, “It’s all a lot to take in, is she serious about what will happen if I fail her test?”
Mumei would nod softly, “She does not have patience for weakness, and she believes that through struggle and conflict we can become stronger. This means the conflict has to be real for it to work.” She handed Cloud a small notebook. “This should help as well. It’s got a few tips on the refinement and defense she talked about.
Cloud would nod in reply. It was going to be a stressful three months.
