Thursday — Two Days Until Rematch

For the first time in a few days, I woke up to my own alarm. I had to set it to 4:00 am, but it seemed I managed to beat the cheerleader wakeup. That was fine, though, I wanted to get up early to practice. I pulled my laptop over and started with matches. I didn’t have much trouble beating strangers online, but that was nothing like the scenario I’d be in come Saturday. The nerves had been wrecking me all week, and practicing was one of the only things that helped to calm them. The hours rolled by and, to my surprise, the sun rose with no cheerleading squad at my window. It seemed Evan had new priorities.

I felt my phone buzz, inspiring a sense of dread before realizing it wasn’t actually from Evan.

“Of course you can stop by today! Drop in whenever you want.” - Mom

I still couldn’t shake my underlying sense of dread. There’s no way Evan didn’t see her at the tournament. If he was willing to take my friends and mentors, he would absolutely go after my family. Not to mention the fact that my mom was in good shape for her age. Awkward as it was to say, she had always been quite attractive. There were definitely moments when I caught my friends checking her out in high school. It had never posed any sort of problem before, but I shuddered to imagine what Evan would do with her if given the chance.

My best bet was to try and convince her to leave town for a bit. It wouldn’t guarantee her safety, but it would be a lot better than having her stay in one place. I realized that any explanation of the situation I tried to offer would only make her more worried, so I made a new plan. I paid out a couple hundred dollars for two tickets to a spa resort. With any luck Mom and Sandy would leave town with no questions asked.

I decided to head out early, the sooner my family was out of the equation the better. On the way out I grabbed the bag of devices, not wanting to miss an opportunity to complete my roster. I only needed my rooks, king, and queen now, but time was winding down. The idea of using the devices on my mom and sister floated into my head again as I held the bag, but I quickly pushed the thought aside. It just wasn’t worth the risk. It couldn’t be.

Tepidly, I knocked on the front door. I’d never felt so unnerved entering my own home, but these were extraordinary circumstances. For all I knew, Evan had already gotten to her. There’s no reason he couldn’t have told her to text me. My tension only spiked when the door swung open to reveal my smiling mother in a casual dress. “Nate! Come inside.”

I smiled, trying to hide my anxiety as I stepped into the living room. Nothing seemed out of place so far.

“Do you want a drink?” She asked.

“Yeah, just water would be great.” My mom smiled, turning around to head to the kitchen. This was what I was waiting for. Focusing on the back of her neck I could see… Nothing. No device, no red glow, just bare skin. She was safe! The tension left my body quickly as I contemplated my next move. I felt for the spa tickets in my back pocket, trying to decide on the best way to broach the topic without sounding suspicious.

I also felt my hand moving to my other pocket, where I had stowed the two rook devices. It was intended as a last resort, but the option remained if she didn’t take the ticket. Involving her in this game, could I do that? Even if I had no other option? I heard Sandy’s bedroom door open upstairs. I steeled myself. No, if it was between me and Evan then I couldn’t give him a chance. I pulled out the tickets and got up to meet my mom in the kitchen.

There are some moments in life that you constantly look back on, times where you said the wrong thing, trusted the wrong person, moments that torment you because you messed up and you knew better. I regretted my victory against Evan because of what it provoked, but I had no way of knowing what he was capable of at the time. That did not haunt me, not truly.

What I knew would haunt me was the moment I walked into the kitchen and saw Sandy, my little sister, standing alongside my mother. For a moment, a split second, I chose to let my guard down. I let myself get comfortable in my own home. If I hadn’t I might have noticed the faint red glow under Sandy’s sweater, I might have been able to jump in and prevent her from placing a device on my mother’s neck while she wasn’t looking. I could have prevented it.

Instead, I watched as Sandy slapped the device onto Mom’s neck. She began spasming before hunching over limp, all while my sister watched with an innocent smile on her face. She turned that smile towards me a moment later. “Hey Nate! What are you doing here?” Blood rushed to my face, panic rising in my chest. No. Not her, not them! Before I could think I felt myself being grabbed from behind. Two cheerleaders had a death grip on me. I heard the front door open.

Evan Boltchek entered my home. “Sit down on the couch and don’t try anything, Nathan. You know what I can do.” I wanted to kill him. I had for a while, but this was the first time I really, seriously considered doing it, damn the consequences. But he was right. I was powerless. I sat down defeated on the couch, the cheerleaders standing guard behind me.

“Evan! You’re here!” Sandy exclaimed, wrapping her arms around him and kissing him deeply. She turned to face me, an unnatural twinkle in her eye.

“Nate, this is my boyfriend Evan! I met him the day after your match! He’s so cool…” she purred dreamily. Evan maintained his characteristic smugness.

“I have to say, your sister is adorable. Most of the women in your life are attractive, but she’s something special. I could actually see her as my girlfriend. Well, one of them anyways.” Sandy giggled, seemingly oblivious to his demeaning statements. She was wearing a sweater and jean shorts that showed off her bare legs.

I wanted to scream, to lunge at him and save my family, but I was trapped. He already had both of them. Evan studied my contorted face with satisfaction. “Nathan, don’t you understand? We’re in love. Sandy, why don’t we show him just how in love we are?”

Sandy stared adoringly into his eyes. “Of course, Evan!” With that she bent over the coffee table, facing me while Evan positioned himself behind her.

I watched with anguish as Evan unceremoniously pulled her shorts down, exposing her bare ass to him. “Tell him Sandy, tell your brother everything!” Evan unzipped his fly and exposed his erect cock, a sight I had unfortunately already seen several times.

“It all started-” Sandy began, gasping as Evan entered her and began slowly thrusting, “The day after your chess match. I was on my way to the cafe when he approached me. He scared me at first but I-” Sandy gasped, struggling to maintain her composure as Evan fucked her from behind.

My sweet, innocent sister continued as best she could, her breath ragged. “I knew he was the one as soon as he touched me. Since then I-” Sandy let out a moan, no longer able to stifle her pleasure as Evan’s pace picked up. “I’ve been helping him with everything! I told him all about you, I introduced him to your friends! I even filmed the videos he sent you!” A rapturous smile spread across her lips. “He’s perfect, I’m so, SO glad you introduced us, Nate. You’re the best brother I could ask for!”

With that, Sandy let her head hang low while Evan pumped into her body with abandon. A few tortuous seconds later, he closed his eyes and inhaled sharply, finishing inside her. Sandy turned back to face him, her face filled with adoration. “Was that good, babe?”

Evan grinned. “Excellent as usual, pet. Why don’t you grab your mother and head back to the car?” Sandy jumped to her feet with a cheerful smile, leaving her short behind and prancing towards our catatonic mother in the kitchen.

“Oh, right…” Evan muttered, fumbling to put his headset on. “Elaine, you will listen to everything your daughter tells you to do without question.” My mother, who had been motionless in the kitchen, suddenly snapped to attention. Panic filled her eyes.

“Nate, who is this? AND SANDY?! WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU, PUT YOUR PANTS ON!”

Sandy didn’t flinch. “It’s okay, Mom. Just come with me.” My mother’s demeanor suddenly relaxed completely.

“Oh, alright. Bye, Nate!” With that, she followed Sandy out the front door, both of them leaving me with a smile and a wave.

“She really is something, you know. Insanely tight pussy.”

I stared Evan down with a level of hatred I had never thought possible. “I’m going to kill you.” Evan turned himself to face me, his smile growing wilder as we stared each other down.

“That’s not very sportsmanlike of you, Nathan. Nobody likes a sore loser.”

I never broke my stare. “I. Am. Going. To. Kill. You.” The rage was obscuring my vision, but I could swear there was something in his face, deep down under the layers of bravado. A moment of fear, or something akin to it.

“No, I don’t think you will,” he responded coldly. Evan clapped his hands twice. “Let’s roll, ladies!” With that, the women restraining me followed him out the door. I stayed seated on the couch until I heard the limo outside drive away. Then I stayed seated on the couch, numb and immobile. After time passed and the shock subsided, I felt my body be overtaken with rage. I jolted to my feet, hurling a lamp across the room, stomping the coffee table into splinters, punching hole after hole into the drywall.

In the end, when I finally had no more energy to spend, I collapsed against the wall. Hands bruised and bloodied, eyes teary, limbs shaking, and still I had nothing. Evan had taken my family, the last people in my life I could have protected from this nightmare. I could have stopped it, no rationalization I conjured up could shake that feeling from the pit in my stomach. I couldn’t protect them. I was an absolute fucking loser.

I sauntered out of the house, a broken excuse of a man. My senses were dulled by the earlier turmoil, so I didn’t see the figures approaching me until they were practically right in my face.

“Hey, Nate! Is Sandy around? I’ve been texting her for, like, a week.” I looked up to see Sandy’s friends, Julia and Kody. They were your quintessential freshman party girls, clearly dressed for a night out in crop tops and short shorts.

I stared back at them dully, not even bothering to respond. “Uh, hello? Earth to Nate?” Julia said, snapping her fingers in my face. I felt my frustration returning. Frustration at Evan for taking my friends and family, at his dad and his company for making the devices to begin with, even at Evan’s victims themselves for getting caught. But most of all, I was frustrated with myself. I was tired of being weak, of being powerless. Of playing these stupid games.

In a flash of motion I reached into my back pocket with one hand and grabbed Julia with the other. “HEY, AUGH, LET ME GO! HELP, HELP M—” She began screaming, but I had already placed a rook device on the nape of her neck. Her screams fell silent as her body twitched. Kody watched on in horror before turning to run down the street, screaming for help.

I hurried to my car and pulled out the headset. “Subdue your friend.” I ordered coldly. Julia stood up, any emotion draining from her face as she began sprinting after Kody with singular focus.

It didn’t take long for me to reach the duo, Julia pinning Kody to the ground in a tangle of limbs. “Please, please let me go.” Kody choked out through tears. I felt nothing looking at her, and I hated myself even more for that.

“No,” I said, snapping a device onto Kody’s neck. Moments later I had both of them under my power. “Both of you, stand and face me,” I ordered. The blonde and the brunette followed my orders, faces devoid of emotion.

“Both of you will get in my car and come back to my dorm with me. You will text anyone you need to text to let them know you’re fine. For the next few days you’ll both be my enthusiastic servants.” I let out a shaky sigh, doubting myself with every word. “I am going to get everyone back, and you’re both going to help me until I do. Do you understand?” The girls nodded silently. “Good. Now let’s go.”

I stared into the glow of the laptop on my bed, analyzing every possible move or strategy I or my opponent could make. Julia knelt behind me, giving me a surprisingly good shoulder massage. To say I had a lot of tension would be a horrific understatement, but she was kneading out every muscle knot I had accumulated like a pro.

Moments later, Kody entered the room with a tray of assorted foods. Fish, nuts, and berries: brain food. I didn’t take my eyes off the screen. Kody knelt down beside me and delicately placed the food into my mouth. Neither girl was bothered by their new status as my personal slave, not that they had a choice. I reached my arm out to grab a stray berry and accidentally grazed Kody’s tit. I jerked my hand away and felt an apology forming on my lips out of reflex, only to realize she hadn’t even flinched.

Letting my jadedness get the better of me, I slipped my hand under her bra and massaged her breast. It was strangely relaxing in spite of the circumstances. As my gaze moved up to Kody’s blank eyes I let out a defeated chuckle. It only took Evan a few days to drive me to the point of taking advantage of these girls. Clearly I wasn’t nearly as good a person as I thought I was. I was just a weaker, more pathetic version of him.

I felt my phone ding. I pulled it up to check and sure enough, it was another video from Evan. I glared into the screen before swiping the notification away. There was no way in hell I was watching whatever vile shit was doing to my family. No strategic advantage in the world was worth letting him get under my skin any more than he already had. Hell, I’d already played into his hand at virtually every point anyways.

“Hey Kody, you ever given head?” I asked sardonically.

“Yeah, pretty often,” she answered bluntly.

“Huh,” I muttered, mulling a horrible decision brewing in my head. My apathy beat out my morals without much resistance. “Go ahead and suck my cock.”

Without another word, Kody brushed her silvery blonde hair aside and unzipped my fly, pulling out my rapidly-hardening dick. With little fanfare she enveloped the head with her pink lips, sending a jolt of pleasure up my body.

I tried to let my mind wander away from my predicament, but images of my friends and family kneeling at Evan’s side began to flood my brain. As Kody ran her tongue along the underside of my cock I saw Abby and Denise doing the same to Evan. When I closed my eyes I saw Sandy bending over at the snap of his fingers. I tried to stop it, but I couldn’t help but imagine my own mother in a similarly subservient position. The moment culminated in a quick, shameful orgasm. Kody didn’t react as her mouth filled with cum, mindlessly sucking away in an uncaring state.

“Just… stop, Kody. Go get yourself cleaned up.” As she stood up to go to the washroom I buried my face in my hands, letting the hopelessness of the situation wash over me. Everything was on me now. If I couldn’t beat this monster in his stupid, fucked up game then nearly everyone I ever loved would be forced into whatever horrible life he had planned for them. Abby, Denise, Sandy, Mom, he took everyone. Except…

My head shot up as I realized his team was complete, with Mom as his king and Sandy as his queen, Evan had a full set. That meant he never got Talia! I had no idea what she was doing out there, but if she meant what she said in her note then Talia would stay free! I couldn’t fail everybody, even if I lost our match. It would still be a nightmarish outcome, but at least there was one person out there that pulled themself out of my orbit before Evan swallowed them up.

With just that tiny piece of reassurance, I lifted my head and tried to focus on my matches again. There was a chance - no matter how much Evan crushed my confidence - that I beat him and freed everyone. I had to fight for that chance, no matter what. It was the least I owed to the women he’d enslaved. I pulled my laptop open as Julia continued to work through the knots in my muscles.
