An overview of the Amnestic Artist.

The Amnestic Artist is a woman involved with the creation of visual media who has been made into a Sleepwalker. Each one has their own specialization be it painting, sculpting, ceramic, or even mosaics.

There is no particular 'school' or style that the Amnestic Artist follows but their work frequently includes spirals, dream scapes, and depictions of women working together as part of a team or unit. Despite whatever their personal beliefs may have been before brainwashing, Amnestic Artists are happy to create pieces that are blatantly propagandistic in nature. A painter might depict a row of smiling women with a green and black spiral hovering above them. A sculptor might depict women marching in lockstep before Hypnoman. A mosaic can depict a woman's eyes filled with shimmering spirals as she undergoes her initial brainwashing.

A somewhat frequent theme in the work of an Amnestic Artist is how servitude to Hypnoman's will is the secret to a woman having a truly blissful life. Many works depict women who are not under Hypnoman's mind control as being constantly plagued by self doubt, indecision, and utterly lacking any idea of who they truly are. The free woman, in works created by Amnestic Artists, has no end of questions and insecurities. She second guesses herself and spends years upon years trying to understand herself with no guarantee that she will be successful in this endeavor. She is constantly afraid of making errors in judgement and the consequences of those errors.

Sleepwalkers, on the other hand, are depicted as being confident, decisive, and having a full understanding of their personal identity. She knows what is expected of her as Hypnoman's slave girl. She never second guesses herself when carrying out his orders, and she does not ask questions about who she is, fully knowing what it is to be a Sleepwalker. She does not fear making errors in judgement or what could result of such mistakes because she follows Hypnoman's will instead of her own, and she is always correct in carrying out his will. A Sleepwalker's place is not to question, it is to obey.

Thus, the Sleepwalker is shown to live a life free of worry due to Hypnoman's mind control. She does not need to question her motives, her beliefs, or her methods in achieving her goals. She understands herself completely.

This particular theme frames Hypnoman as a sort of benevolent totalitarian, one who demands abject submission from the women under his control, but provides them with happiness the could never have achieved otherwise in return. He is someone who knows what is best for his slave girls, and all they must do is carry out his bidding.
