Hi.

Disclaimer: I own nothing except this dark fantasy. For now.

An explosion of light, a burst of holy heat crawling upon her skin. They licked easily at the flesh of her upper bicep, parting it like butter to reveal the black bone underneath. Maeve hissed and clasped a hand over the wound, dark ichor seeping between her fingers. Her dark, bat-like wings had tears in them that weren’t caused by battle, yet still she was aloft, floating quite a ways from her enemy.

Maeve’s thick red hair fell in front of her eyes, but that did nothing to weaken her seething glare. She yelped and twirled head over heels in the sky as a spear of holy light sizzled past her.

“It’s not looking good for you, demon!”

She hovered, Maeve’s barbed tail lashing behind her as she spewed a divine list of expletives. “Fuck off you damned pigeon!” Below them, a scrawny human girl watched them and imitated a goldfish with wide eyes. ‘No measly human soul is worth this.’ Maeve seethed.

No, it certainly wasn’t, but her pride would not allow her to simply hand her prey over to a fucking angel with a divinity complex. ‘Fucking angels always cock blocking my fun!’ But the demon was forced to fly spirals in the air just to keep from being incinerated by divine fury. Enough was enough.

With a mighty roar that sent shock waves of earth rising and dipping like the ocean in the middle of a storm, Maeve launched two successive lances of darkest night with her one good arm. They shot through the air and writhed like living vines on the surface. The human screamed and back-pedalled frantically. She would not dodge in time.

The angel was there, she dived straight down like a swallow, pulling up at the very last minute with her feet brushing the ground and her golden sword flashing. Her strikes were deft and precise, the dark lances dissipated in a miasma of heavy vapour. The angel threw her head up in a sneer, but Maeve was no longer there.

__________

Angels and demons are able to exist for an eternity. And though it hasn’t quite been that long, the burning indignation within Maeve definitely made it feel so. Over and over again, she tasted defeat. The humiliating taste of it; served each time by the same angel, mixed with the acrid taste of her rage.

Maeve stood in a crowd of retreating demons. Her kin bumped and pushed against her as they ran from angelic fury. This time having lost a massive battle between good and evil. Even backed by the power of a demonic horde, she had lost. She had not been the one to lead them; nor had they been particularly powerful or strategic, but the fact remains. She had lost.

She wanted retribution, she demanded satisfaction. But even presented with a whole flock of angels, Maeve’s vengeance zeroed in on one angel in particular. Aurelia. That was her name. The dove of peace, the hawk of righteousness. The thorn in her side ever since their first battle. The humans Aurelia rescued always looked at her as if she was the most beautiful noble thing to have ever existed. Remembering the look of awe and worship in their eyes filled her with as much disgust as it did anger.

As if sensing her ire, Aurelia’s head turned in Maeve’s direction. The demon’s eyes narrowed into a glare as their gazes locked. She watched furiously as Aurelia’s full lips quirked into a smirk. Her sky-blue eyes glowed with triumph. Stray strands of her pale blonde hair floated serenely around her angular face.

Stepping backwards slowly, Maeve came to a decision. She wanted Aurelia to grovel. She wanted Aurelia to break. She wanted to absolutely destroy everything the angel stood for. Dove of peace, hawk of righteousness. “Never again,” thought Maeve. She melted into the shadows seething and scheming.

It was time to cage a canary.

____________

“Slow down, cutie.” Maeve chuckled at the human pressed against her. She was eager for many things. Pleasures of the flesh, wealth, power. All things Maeve could provide. But there was something she needed in return before she could enact the covenant.

They were in a secluded corner of the bar, lost somewhere within the dark maze of its back rooms. The halls seemed to stretch, branching off into infinite possible hallways with never ending dim red carpets.

The human, Emily, with her hair the colour of a barn owl and eyes a deep chocolate; pulled away from the kiss with a happy sigh to lean against the brick wall. She looked around briefly and seemed to notice that the dimensions of the hall far exceeded that of the building they were in.

“Did we wander that far from the bar?” If she was worried or confused, she did not show it. Her hands wandered up the tanned muscular body of Maeve to link behind her neck in a loose hug. Not that one could blame her with the present company.

“I didn’t want us to be disturbed.” Maeve devoured her lips in a fierce kiss. She rested one hand on Emily’s waist, while another squeezed a breast. Her fingers were deft and precise, pinching the nipple even through Emily’s top and bra. The human groaned, and when Maeve let go, the stiffened nipple poked through the layers of fabric.

To say that it’s easy for Maeve to work Emily into a frenzy would be an understatement. It could be an attribute of her infernal blood, or it could simply be experience. Either way, the demon stoked the flames of lust until it consumed the human, writhing and panting. And she didn’t even use magic.

She teased and she pleased.

A nibble on her neck, a pinch on her nipple.

She poked and she nudged.

A hand under her skirt, Emily’s gasp devoured with a kiss.

She stoked and she stroked.

A finger parted her slit, played with her clit.

She tested and she tasted.

Two fingers pushed inside. Emily arched in delight.

She FUCKED.

Maeve lifted one of Emily’s legs, spreading her wider, opening her body and her mind to everything she had to offer. ‘Mind-blowing sex, wealth, power.’ The human nodded, her eyes dark and hazy in the throes of pleasure.

She didn’t hear Maeve as much as she FELT her. Her mind too far gone to comprehend, to panic. It was just something that happened, and she accepted it. Just as she accepted Maeve into her. Her lips, her tongue, her touch, her fingers, her mind.

The demon sneered at her, not looking the slightest bit strained as she held Emily’s soft, weakened body against the wall; simultaneously holding a leg up and fucking her thoroughly with one hand. She watched her whine and gasp and buck mindlessly closer and closer to her peak.

Emily’s hands clenched her shoulders until the knuckles turned white and the nails dug desperately into supple skin. But no blood was ever drawn. She felt Maeve’s hand on her chin, tilting her eyes up. Though Emily knew the unspoken request, she did not think her eyes could focus now that she was lost in this haze of lust.

But she was mistaken. It was a demand, and her gaze sharpened only to get caught in Maeve’s eyes. They glowed a stunning purple. Rich and deep, dark and full of promises. Emily FELT Maeve once more, and this time she understood.

A covenant.

Anything. EVERYTHING.

Only one thing needed in return.

Her fingers hit deeper, harder, faster. Was it even possible to reach that deep? To stroke Emily in all those places she never felt before. To fill her so well and to push her to heights never before seen?

‘Imagine what else a demon could do for you.’

The very thought sent waves of adrenaline and arousal through her. She was excited to find out. She needed to find out. The demon seemed pleased, Emily didn’t know how, but once again, she just KNEW.

‘Do you want this?’

Emily nodded, frantic. Her eyes locked with the demon’s as she rode those fingers harder. Her cries rose in pitch and fervour, encouraging Maeve to push her over the edge, to just TAKE.

Maeve lowered her face to Emily’s, their foreheads touching.

“Do you accept?” She intoned lowly, and within it Emily heard the warmth of a lover beckoning, inviting.

She was lost in the purple.

“Yes.”

She was lost.

Her orgasm crashed into her, roiling through her body like a violent wave as she shook and screamed and fell limp against Maeve; a shuddering mess.

Emily couldn’t help the languid smile from growing on her face when she felt the demon stroke her back rather sweetly.

Yes, her body was sated. But she was far from satisfied.

“There is much to be done.” Said Maeve, and the world blurred. In the blink of an eye, Emily found herself being cuddled on a massive, plush four poster bed.

She had her work cut out for her.

_______________________

Call it cliche, but chilling after a date by an abandoned stable (and possible love shack) under a starry night was pretty romantic.

Tia was in the passenger’s seat, making out with her girlfriend of six months. Six whole months of dating the girl of her dreams. She could hardly believe it. She would probably still feel the same once their first anniversary came knocking. ‘Gosh. One year! And then another, and another, and ten more after that-’

“You’re over-thinking things again.” Her girlfriend’s warm voice twinkled with mirth. She placed one last chaste kiss on Tia’s lips before sitting back in the driver’s seat. “Should I take those away?” Her brown eyes twinkled in the way that Tia so loved.

“Well, I wouldn’t be opposed,” She looked down to the side almost meekly, and there was a light dusting of red on Tia’s cheeks.

“Who would have thought you would enjoy it so much hmm?” Her girlfriend replied with a smug smirk, taking off her glasses and placing it safely on the dashboard.

Already, Tia could feel the tell-tale tingles on her arms, the languid weight of her limbs dragging her down. It was almost unfair how she melted just from a change in tone. She sighed happily, leaning into the lowered seat and letting the sensations take her.

She felt her girlfriend tap her nose affectionately, and she wiggled it in response.

“Well, I was already half in love with you, Emily. It’s not that much of a jump.” Tia felt another kiss on her lips.

“Rather than jump, why don’t you drop for me? Just relax and drop into that nice, comfy trance.”

Tia took deliberate deep breaths, letting herself sink, and be enveloped by the warmth of her girlfriend’s voice.

“It’s easy to give in.” Emily breathed.

‘It’s easy to give in.’ Tia repeated in her mind. It was getting easier and easier to let the words guide her. She was unsure if that was due to affection, or simple ease of practise. Not that it mattered. Nothing mattered except the words. They floated into her mind and knocked all other thoughts out of the way until only Emily’s will remained; pulsating.

Emily gently held Tia’s hand and turned it palm up. With one delicate finger, she traced a familiar pattern.

“Your skin is so sensitive now, isn’t it?” The pattern circled Tia’s palm from the outside in. And then looped back into the outside. Over and over again.

‘It is.’

“You can feel the spiral on your hand so distinctly, can’t you? Focus on it. Let your mind latch onto the sensation of my finger on your skin. Of the spiral, being tattooed onto you, into you. Deeper and deeper. Follow it. As you drop deeper and deeper for me.”

The spiral circled her palm. Again and again.

‘Deeper and deeper.’

That’s it, follow the spiral. Go deeper and deeper for me. So calm, so relaxed.”

‘Deeper and deeper.’

“Drop deeper and deeper. So deep now, so very deep.

‘So very deep.’

“How do you feel Tia?”

“Good…re-laxed…” She sighed dreamily, there was no other way she could answer. Dimly, she felt the smile on Emily’s lips as she pressed a kiss to her palm.

“Good girl.”

The smile on Tia’s own face grew at the praise. She felt the familiar touch of Emily’s fingers, this time tracing a line from her forehead, down to the tip of her nose. She felt her eyes almost roll up into her skull. The touch started again at the top, dragging lightly all the way to the tip. Tia tilted her head upwards, into the touch, almost like a mewling kitten as Emily stroked her repeatedly.

“It feels good to be in trance. Yes?”

“…yesss.” Tia sighed and gave a little wiggle of happiness.

“You can feel my touch more than anything else. And it feels so good.”

“It feels so good.” She intoned, gasping as Emily’s finger trailed past the tip of the nose, and started tracing her lips instead. They parted at the slightest of touch, quivering just a little at the tease.

“Mmn, so sensitive to my touch. Aren’t you?” Emily leaned closer, her warmth radiating beside Tia. “Feel yourself grow more sensitive to me, each stroke of my fingers making you more and more aroused.” Warm breath tickled her ear, coaxing a little whine.

“Making you wet. So wet for me.”

“So wet for you.” Tia repeated shakily, feeling two fingers trail down her throat…and continue downwards.

“That’s right. Down…down…down...deeper and deeper…more and more aroused…feeling so good….” Emily brought her fingers to one of Tia’s nipples and started tracing around it. Tia gasped and arched her back with a soft cry.

“Ssshhhh…Let the pleasure wash over you…as you go deeper and deeper into trance. Follow the spiral Tia, follow it around your nipple. Making you drop deeper. And the deeper you go, the better it feels. Deeper…Deeper…feeling so good as you drop into deep trance. So deep for me Tia…”

Tia squirmed, feeling the sensations take over just as her girlfriend described. Which felt so good. Of course it did. She was following instructions, obeying, being a good girl. A fresh wave of needy moans escaped her, to Emily’s obvious delight. There was a sudden pinch on her nipple, making her choke and spasm as a deep giggle rang out from beside her.

The echo in the car almost made it sound as if there were two voices laughing.

Heat spread across her inner thigh. It was Emily’s hand, hot, firm, unyielding as she spread Tia’s legs open. But she stopped short of slipping under her skirt. Tia blew a short puff of air through clenched teeth; equal parts frustration and pleasure.

Emily’s hand caressed her so gently, so teasingly. Up and down, up and down. It was delicious-her hand slipped higher up, Tia’s hips bucked to finally feel-!…her hand slide back down-it wasn’t enough!

She whined and writhed, but she was held still by trance and the slightest touch of Emily’s fingers.

“So needy, so deep in trance. You’ll do anything to keep feeling good, yes?”

“Y-yes!” Tia gasps, lifting her hips imploringly against her fleeting touch.

Good girl.” Emily croons, cupping the wet heat of Tia’s pussy. She laughs deep and low, almost sounding like a different person as her fingers begin to stroke the shape of Tia’s clit into her panties.

Deep in trance, feeling your arousal grow. Feeling your need overflow. Deeper and deeper, needier and needier.” She kisses along Tia’s neck, her hand stroking firmly with each word she feeds into her mind. “Feel your need grow, feel your orgasm near. You want it, don’t you?”

“Yes! I want it, I want it!” She chokes out. Her hands gripped the sides of the seat, her hips gyrating into Emily’s touch with legs spread as wide as the hiked-up skirt would allow. Fingers slip past her panties and start thrusting hard and deep. Hard and deep.

Deep.

Deep.

The inside of the car was starting to fog up with condensation…or was it sweat? It misted on the edges of Tia’s brow, along her exposed skin. Sweet angel…was the air-conditioning up that high?

It felt like it was blowing smoke into the car, it tingled and caused the goosebumps to raise on her arms and nape-but it also felt so good! Like the caress of a lover. Like Emily. As if Emily’s very will was stroking against her, coaxing her, leading her to the…edge…edge, edge-!

A heat flared from her chest, steadily growing stronger at an alarming rate. The haze in her mind cleared just a little. Tia cracked her eyes open a hair to notice the red irises of Emily’s. It felt like a miniature sun was going to burst out of her, and it snaps her out of trance just as Emily’s fingers hook inside and brush unforgivingly against her G-spot.

It burns…so good!

Tia screams, jolting up as one hand wraps around Emily’s arm so tight her knuckles turn white. But as she rides her peak, hips stuttering and chest heaving, she slowly starts to notice a ringing in her ears. She blinks dazedly at Emily, and gasps when she sees the bright red in her eyes. The sound of something sizzling draws her attention to her hand…and the arm she’s holding onto. Tia recoils in horror.

She yelps and hits her head against the window, hissing from the pain.

“E-Emily?! What’s happening?!”

“It’s going to be okay, you don’t have to do anything more.” Her girlfriend strokes her cheek, the tenderness in her eyes soothe her more than any touch could. This was still her Emily. Tia’s eyes caught the burn on Emily’s arm, it was blistering and red but was already rapidly fading into a soft pink.

Her mouth opened with many questions perched on the tip of her tongue, but the ringing in her ears flared suddenly like feedback from a speaker. She covered her ears with a pained whimper.

Through it all, she saw the red in Emily’s eyes flicker until it eventually disappeared. And so too did the weird shrill in her ears. But her girlfriend’s eyes widened and she bent over the dashboard to look outside.

“Get out, now!”

“What?”

“Out!” Emily reached across Tia to fling the passenger’s door open. Tia obeyed, shaken by the urgency in Emily’s voice. She looked back in time to see her dive out the driver’s side. There was a glare hurting Tia’s eyes, and she held a hand up against the night sky, squinting in confusion.

Was that a meteor? Coming right at them?

Emily tugged her hand, pulling her towards the stable. “Come on! We have to get inside!” But Tia felt something stopping her. The meteor was starting to look familiar. And as it neared, she felt a tell-tale pull. The realisation hit her just as she made out the blonde hair and eyes of the bluest blue.

“Aurelia?” She asked, her face pale with disbelief and jaw slack with awe. Emily remained frozen beside her, she had never been faced with divinity before. Tia looked at her, breathing a sigh of relief.

“It’s okay, it’s just my guardian angel.”

But Emily did not seem comforted by that revelation. She watched with silent trepidation as Aurelia landed on one knee a short distance before them. The angel rose to her full height, and pointed her sword at Emily.

“This one is mine, demon. You will not corrupt my charge.”

“What?” Tia looked at Aurelia, then Emily, then back again to Aurelia. “No! You have it all wrong-”

Aurelia leapt forward so quickly the words died in Tia’s throat. Her eyes noticed a shadow over Emily, and she barely had time to turn and look before the divine blade slashed down.

A scream tore from her throat.

Emily fell to the ground. In front of her stood a beautiful woman with red skin and bat wings, blocking Aurelia’s sword with her own ebony blade. She blinked, trying to comprehend it all, when she noticed a barbed tail curling behind the woman. A demon.

The demon’s laughter was playful yet sinister. “Come now Aurelia, what makes you think I was after one of your little humans? You know I’m not into frail good girls.”

“When will you leave them alone, Maeve?!”

The demon, Maeve, held a hand to her heart with a mock gasp.

“You know my name? How flattering to hear that the mighty Aurelia, famed even amongst angels, knows the name of one such as I?!” She laughed nonchalantly, as if she was not fighting for her life. As if she had not been defeated by the same angel many times before.

Sparks flew as they traded blows and banter. The angel advanced onto her, aggressive and unrelenting with her attacks. Maeve deflected her attempts, back pedalling slowly but not looking concerned.

Tia pulled Emily to her feet, and both humans watched wide-eyed whilst shaking against each other. “Tia…I don’t feel safe out in the open, let’s watch from inside.”

She felt her girlfriend pull her towards the stable with one of its doors open wide. There were so many questions running rampant in her mind right now. But this was not the time. Even if they made her head hurt-

‘Emily can make me nice and empty.’

Tia shook her head violently, following behind her girlfriend who hurriedly pulled her along.

‘This was definitely not the time.’

They reached the relative safety of the stable, at least now they had a roof over their heads and a place to hide if things got too wild. She had never seen an actual divine battle before, but she did not want to get swept up in the crossfire.

“No! Don’t go with her Tia!”

“To the back, Tia. Come on!”

Two voices shouted at once. Tia looked behind her even as she followed Emily further into the stable, spotting the angel zooming towards them, flying so low to the ground her chest brushed grazed the tall grass.

They had just reached the back of the stable when the angel caught up to them. She stopped in the middle of the stable, her wings beating a slow rhythm as she hovered above the ground with a hand out-stretched.

“Tia, stop! I’m trying to protect you from them!”

“Aurelia? What’s-”

“Sorry babe.”

She felt herself being yanked backwards. The roof of the stable tilted past her, and instead she found the starry sky above. Tia pushed herself up from the soft grass and watched in muted shock as Emily slammed the back door shut with a loud grunt. A similar slam echoed almost instantly. Red light bled from the edges of the door, as Aurelia’s fists pounded from the other side.

“Maeve! Maeve this is your doing!” There was more struggle on the other side, a lot of dull heavy thumping. It sounded as if the angel was trying to break through. “Let me out demon!”

Laughter, dark and triumphant echoed in the night. She appeared beside Emily, patting her head proudly. Emily offered a shaky smile. The red light grew brighter and brighter until it painted everything around it in a sinister glow.

Until everything was red.

Until there was only red.

And then...darkness.

___________

When Aurelia came to, she was suspended in chains. She lifted her head and found that the demon had bound her ankles to the ground, leaving her standing in her captivity with her arms chained spread eagle above her head. But there was a weird tightness in her back. She checked behind her and saw something that made her seethe.

Her wings. Pulled taut with intricate manacles that clipped at the joints and the very ends without piercing the flesh. Her entire wingspan forcefully displayed in all their glory.

“Got your bearings yet, little birdie?”

Her head snapped back to the front with a glare that she wished had the power to banish her mortal enemy then and there. It was odd, but she had not noticed Maeve before. But only now, after she spoke, did Aurelia notice shapes coming into focus; materialising into being.

A lush crimson and ebony four poster bed revealed itself, with Maeve lounging against the headboard. Her arms were splayed across the back of it, and her legs were crossed, giving the impression that she was merely lounging as she delighted in Aurelia’s capture.

“Welcome, dear Aurelia,” Maeve waved a hand at the dark space surrounding them. “To my place of power.”

‘That makes a lot sense.’ The angel thought to herself.

‘Fuck.’

Can't wait for you to melt at the upcoming events. Heh heh.
