Maria, in her guise as Twister, raced through the night on her motorcycle. The wheels skidded across the wet ground, the drizzling rain streaking the glass of her helmet.

Normally Maria wouldn’t drive so recklessly, but she needed to clear her head. Stephanie’s words still echoed in her mind. “Don’t think about it,” she muttered to herself.

Her hand cranked the throttle and the engine gave a satisfying roar. She whizzed around a gray car that was only moderately speeding.

Part of Maria wanted to crash. It would be a distraction at least, not that it would hurt her rubber body. She could withstand all kinds of injuries, but words, words could cut her deeply.

“Oh wow, I didn’t know you thought of me that way,” Stephanie said in her memory.

Don’t think about it.

It still hurt. All the speed in the world wouldn’t outrun her own memories. Sam and Allison had just been so close lately. Maria wanted that for herself. She wanted it enough to work up her courage and talk to the girl she liked, the girl she had rescued.

“I’ll always be grateful to you for saving me. But I just don’t think of you that way.”

Don’t think about it.

Maria knew she shouldn’t be taking it so hard. She couldn’t blame Stephanie for being who she was. It was just that Stephanie knew her secret identity. She was one of the only people who could date Maria and Twister. So losing her meant being alone.

“I hope we can still be friends.”

So alone.

A stubborn rain drop wouldn’t roll off her visor. She shook her head. Then she realized it was inside the glass.

“So are you running towards something or away from something?” A voice shouted.

The words shook Maria out of her reverie. Who could have said that? She looked to one side and saw no one. Then she looked to the other side and saw a woman running, running alongside a speeding motorbike. “Away,” she yelled back.

“I thought so,” the woman responded. She didn’t even sound winded. “You should try running towards something.”

“Like what?” Maria answered.

“Like me. Catch me if you can,” the stranger said gleefully. She sped up, easily outpacing the bike. Her long-sleeve, green shirt became a blur as she zipped into the night. She was hard to see beyond that.

“What a weirdo. I’m not just gonna chase her for no reason,” Twister mumbled. Then she considered further and decided it beat feeling sorry for herself. She leaned down, hugging her body to the cold metal of her bike as she let the throttle all the way out. The wind roared around her.

“That’s more like it,” the stranger’s voice carried back to Maria. “Now try to keep up.” She veered sharply around a corner, briefly disappearing from view. Twister’s tires screeched in protest as she matched the turn.

They dashed along a straight section of road after that. Twister started to gain, until they reached the train tracks. The arms were already lowering as they approached. The train’s horn blared over the engine. Every instinct in Maria’s mind told her to stop and turn around, but the green streak didn’t slow down so Maria didn’t either.

The stranger deftly leapt over the arms and the tracks. Twister didn’t have it so easy. She veered around the arm. The light of the oncoming train sliced the darkness like a knife, a knife that Twister narrowly avoided. The bike kicked off the iron of the tracks and shot into the air. It wobbled on the landing, barely staying upright. “That was crazy. You’re crazy!” Twister shouted ahead at the blurred figure.

“I’m crazy? I had plenty of time. You’re the crazy one,” she said.

“Well I’m not going to just let you win,” Twister answered, laughing. Her heart still pounded.

The chase continued. The stranger tried to lose her in a tight series of turns, cutting down one street after another. But Maria had lived in San Angeles her whole life. She knew these streets better than anyone. That was why she smiled when the stranger turned down a dead end. The building’s shadow loomed over the end of the alleyway. “Looks like I win,” she goaded as they sped towards the end of the alley.

“Funny, I was about to say the same thing,” the stranger yelled back. Then the green blur turned and raced straight up the wall of the building.

Maria slammed on the brakes and skidded to a halt. She watched in amazement as the mysterious figure shot up the brick wall and disappeared over the roof.

But Maria wouldn’t give up yet. She dismounted the bike, and doffed the helmet. She would need to see well for this. Then her arms stretched into the air, straining to reach the building’s parapet. Her fingertips wrapped onto the wall’s coping. She tensed her legs and rocketed into the air like a slingshot. Her arms pulled back to her body as she spun in the air. For a moment she could look down onto the rooftops. It was like she had left all her troubles down on the ground. For that brief instant she was just flying. Maria grinned, reveling in the freedom and the adrenaline. The street lights shone through the mist in a hazy glow. The rain rushed past her as gravity pulled her body back to the earth.

The other woman had stopped on the opposite side of the building. Twister could vaguely make out her form, bent over catching her breath. She angled her descent towards the stranger. Her rubber legs absorbed the tremendous impact. “9.0” she rated herself, hitting the slick ground with poise. As Maria landed she placed a hand on the stranger’s shoulder and instinctively yelled, “Tag!”

The woman straightened up, stunned. Maria finally got a good look at the stranger. She had light tan skin and a pixie hair cut, shaved on one side. A row of piercings ran down the opposite ear. A pair of goggles covered her eyes. She wore a bright green, long sleeve shirt, fingerless gloves and black pants. “Oh wow. . . No one’s ever . . . Caught me before. . . Call me Bolt,” she panted.

“I’m Twister. You were right. I needed that. I forgot all about . . .” Stephanie, she thought but didn’t say. A touch of sadness crept through the rush of the chase. “So how come I’ve never seen you before?”

Bolt grinned. “I mostly keep moving and . . . enjoy the rush of the wind and the freedom.”

“So why slow down for me?”

“You were driving like a lunatic and you seemed so upset. Speed is supposed to be fun. So I thought I could help you enjoy yourself.”

Maria blushed, looking the woman up and down. She was cute in a punk sort of way. Maria realized she’d been staring a bit too long and cleared her throat. “Anyway, it was fun.”

Bolt appeared next to Maria in an instant. “It was fun. Next time I’ll catch you,” she whispered in Twister’s ear.

Maria could feel the heat of breath on her cheek. She shivered and not from the cold. In fact she felt warm. Then as suddenly as she had appeared, Bolt zipped off down the alleyway, leaving Maria alone again. Maria walked slowly around the block to retrieve her bike. She did her best to keep her thoughts on the joy of her game with Bolt and not, well anything else.

She remounted the bike and turned to go home. Her police radio buzzed to life. “This is squad 504. We’re at the Moderna bank downtown. Things are getting out of hand. There’s this woman here and . . .” some static interrupted the recording. “And I’ve got to go,” the voice sounded dreamy and distant. Maria sighed and turned her bike around. There was only one villain in San Angeles that could be.

The bank tellers and security guards happily emptied their vaults with blissful smiles. Even the cops had joined in the fun. Twister took in the scene from the front windows, finishing her protein bar. She needed to refuel after that jump. Sure enough, Maria spotted a familiar figure standing among the enthralled employees.

Her long, blonde hair brushed against her shoulders as she gave orders. Frilly, white lingerie hugged her petite figure. An ornate bow and a quiver of arrows hung across her back. There was no mistaking Euphoria.

Maria tossed her wrapper into the trash and strode confidently into the bank. “I’m not in a great mood tonight, Euphoria. You willing to come quietly or do we have to do the usual song and dance?”

Euphoria turned to face her with a devilish grin. “There you are, my sweet. I was beginning to think you would leave me by my lonesome.”

Maria shook her head, approaching the blonde. “I don’t know why you still bother. Your arrows bounce right off of me, every time. Just make it easy on yourself and give up.”

Euphoria’s eyes lit up. “But where’s the fun in that? Your resilience just makes me want you all the more. It’s the treat you can’t have that tastes the sweetest,” she cooed. Her hands pulled the bow free of its strap and nocked an arrow.

Maria sighed and continued walking. At least she would get to hit something today. None of the employees made a move, which she found unusual. Generally Euphoria’s only way to beat her was to dog pile her with love-struck zombies and inject the hero slowly with her chemical concoction. Well whatever her plan was, Maria figured it wouldn’t hold up to being punched in the face. She stretched her elastic fist across the empty bank floor.

Euphoria released her arrow at the same instant. It out-sped Twister’s punch and struck the hero square in the chest. As it did, time slowed down for Maria. She expected it to bounce harmlessly away. But instead, it dissolved into a shimmering light and vanished. As the arrow disappeared, Twister felt all her hostility towards Euphoria evaporate. Her calm composure erupted into a giddy nervousness. Had she really been about to punch this woman? She couldn’t do that to someone so sweet and beautiful. In the nick of time, Maria was able to stop her blow short.

“What did you do to me?” Maria stammered.

“What I’ve dreamed of doing since I first met you. I made you mine,” the woman replied.

“Yours? No I don’t belong to anyone,” Twister responded, sounding unsure. Suddenly the idea of belonging to Euphoria gave her butterflies. But she still knew that was wrong.

The blonde closed the distance, swaying her hips the whole way. “You didn’t belong to anyone, dear, which is a dreadful shame,” she said. Then her tone grew more firm. “But now you belong to me and it feels wonderful. Just focus on that feeling. Someone desires you so deeply that they want to own you completely. Doesn’t it feel lovely to be wanted?”

“I . . . Um . . . Yes it does,” Maria whispered, blushing. This gorgeous woman wanted her that much. She almost couldn’t believe it. But a distant alarm bell still sounded in the back of her mind. “No . . . I . . . Shouldn’t.”

Euphoria’s arms wrapped around Maria and began gently rocking her from side to side. “Belonging to me isn’t anything scary. It just means having someone who loves you, and cares about you and takes care of you. That doesn’t sound so bad, does it?”

“It sounds nice,” Maria said. Her head spun and the rocking wasn’t helping. Any time she tried to form a critical thought, it just slipped away. The harder she tried to think, the more her head spun and the easier it became to just listen to Euphoria’s words. She had such a pretty voice.

“Exactly,” Euphoria purred into Twister’s ear. “You know, I feel bad for you sometimes, always working alone, carrying so much responsibility. But your Mistress is here now. You don’t have to feel alone anymore. In fact, you don’t need to worry about anything at all anymore.”

Maria only responded with a soft mewl of pleasure. All Euphoria’s suggestions slipped so easily into her pliable mind. It felt so nice being in her arms, feeling wanted. That was all Maria could think about.

“So I just need you to say those two pretty words for me, darling,” Euphoria said, gently teasing Twister’s bottom lip with her finger. “Just say ‘I’m yours’ and you’ll never have to be alone again.”

Those words echoed in Maria’s mind. She felt so foggy and numb that she could barely follow her mistress’s words. But she knew she didn’t want to be alone, so there was only one thing to do. “I’m yoursss,” she said dreamily, words slurring a little.

“Now don’t you feel better my dear?” Euphoria said, beaming.

Maria did feel better. She couldn’t even remember why she had been resisting. But now that she’d stopped, a weight had lifted off her shoulders. The swimming sensation in her mind had resolved itself into a low and constant hum of pleasure. “Yes,”

“Yes. . . Who?” Euphoria said, giving Maria’s cheek and playful pinch.

“Yes, Mistress.”

“Mmm that’s music to my ears, slave. We are going to have so much fun together.” Euphoria giggled, her hands gently sliding between Twister’s legs.

Twister shuddered with pleasure at her mistress’s touch. “Oh that feels nice, Mistress.”

“Like I said dear, I’m going to take very good care of you,” she said, unbuttoning her slave’s pants. Maria obligingly shimmied out of them.

No sooner than the fabric hit the floor, Euphoria’s fingers were there. They stroked over her panties slowly and sensually. “Beg,” she said in a firm voice.

“Please touch me Mistress,” Maria squealed.

“God, I don’t know if I’ll ever get tired of you calling me that,” Euphoria purred as she pulled Maria’s panties aside. Her fingers slipped easily into her slave’s pussy. The thick scent of her arousal and the sound of her moans filled the chamber.

“See, now doesn’t it feel lovely to obey your mistress?”

“Yes, Mmmistress,” Maria moaned happily. She could feel all her thoughts washing away under the touch of her mistress’s fingers. Every stroke, every gentle caress pushed her old life further and further away. She didn’t forget exactly. Those memories just took on a hazy, dream like quality.

As Euphoria’s fingers danced inside her, Maria could feel her body trembling, her mind sinking into a delirious haze. But she knew one thing for sure, she would never be alone. Mistress would always be with her. She could feel the steady drumbeat of Euphoria’s control marching through her mind. Mistress would always want her. She could see the delicious smile on Euphoria’s lips as she stared down at her. In fact Mistress wanted her the most, Maria recalled. That realization pushed her over the edge. The last thread of her self control snapped and she came. “I’mmmmm Yooouuurrrs,” she moaned.

“I knew you’d understand eventually. I only wanted what was best for you. You’ll never disobey again, will you, dear?”

Maria shook her head. “No, never Mistress. I couldn’t dream of it.”

“Such a good slave. Now my other pets have loading the money under control. I have something more important for you to do.”

Maria scrambled to her knees. “Yes, Mistress. Anything for you,” she said.

“I knew you would say that,” she purred. Her fingers ran through Twisters hair and gently pulled her between Euphoria’s legs. Twister needed no further guidance. She pulled her mistress’s panties down with a giddy eagerness.

The tips of her fingers gently stroked her mistress’s tender flesh. Euphoria sighed with delight. “Oh Mistress,” Maria purred. “You haven’t seen anything yet.” Maria plunged her fingers inside of Euphoria’s slick pussy. Effortlessly she sculpted the shape of her hand to fit Euphoria, sliding inside all the way up to her wrist.

“Oh Twister,” she gasped in rapturous ecstasy.

Twister smirked in satisfaction, watching her mistress squirm. She smoothly pumped her arm in and out, every movement sending shudders of pleasure through Euphoria. Euphoria’s knees went weak. Between labored breaths, she pushed Twister away so that she could lower herself onto her back. Euphoria spread her legs, exposing the valley of her pale flesh to her eager slave.

Maria pounced, her mouth latching onto Euphoria’s pussy. Her rubber lips molded to the contours of her mistress’s body. The heady taste of arousal flooded Maira’s senses. The sensation only grew, as her tongue delved between Euphoria’s moist folds.

Euphoria arched her back, chest heaving with ragged breaths. Maria could feel the tension building in the slender woman’s muscles. She was nearing the brink. Then Maria used her powers to extend her tongue, pushing far deeper inside than anyone else ever could. For a moment Maria gloated to herself that Stephanie had no idea what she passed up on. Then that thought vanished as her attention returned to the task at hand.

The tongue-fucking quickened. Every thrust, every lick pushed Euphoria deeper into her namesake feeling. Her body twitched and squirmed, but none of that slowed Maria down. Maria was relentless, mercilessly eating her out. Until finally, her Mistress could hold no longer. Her gasps climbed into screams of pleasure, echoing and bouncing off the bank’s marble floor.

—-

Twister sighed contentedly as she looked out the window of the armored car. If she’d known being mistress’s slave would feel this good, she would have surrendered long ago. The leather seat felt cold on her bare legs and hips.  She had never put her pants back on. Her hips now carried an exaggerated shape, embellishing her already well endowed curves.

She had never used her powers so cosmetically. But after seeing what Maria could do, her Mistress had a couple of ideas. The constant use of her abilities was a slight strain, and sure the leather seat was cold. But a little cold and a little effort would be a small price to pay to please Mistress.

The tank of a car lumbered away from the bank, carrying her mistress’s various prizes. Twister drove carefully into the night, Euphoria in the passenger seat beside her. Mistress had left the other pets behind to slowly wake up. She had explained that they weren’t worth keeping, like Maria was. Those words made her heart soar.

Her ear felt naked without her comm unit. But Mistress had told her to destroy it, so of course she obliged. Maria knew she would miss being a hero. But now she understood she was always meant to be a slave. Helping her Mistress was so much more fulfilling than helping strangers. Mistress always appreciated her and strangers could be so ungrateful. Mistress was talking to someone on the phone, but had instructed her not to pay attention. Still Maria’s ears perked up when she heard her own name.

“You won’t have to worry about Twister anymore. I assure you she'll be quite preoccupied,” she said proudly. There was a pause while the person on the other end spoke. “So I’ll be keeping the girl and the bow, as we agreed. Pleasure doing business with you as well.” Then she hung up the phone and turned to Maria. “Glad that’s settled. Now we can get back to what’s important,” she said. Euphoria leaned over the console and planted a kiss on Maria’s neck.

Maria let out a joyous whimper. She would never have to feel unwanted again. She drove into the darkness of the night, ready to start her new life.

A loud bang came at the back door of the truck. A moment passed. Then the knocking moved to the ceiling. It sounded almost like footsteps.

Maria and Euphoria both stared up at the ceiling of the moving car in surprise. A second later a head poked over the windshield, upside down. It had a black pixie haircut, a row of piercings down one ear and a pair of goggles. Bolt stared in at them and waved.

“Who the hell is that?” Euphoria yelled.

Maria winced at the anger in her Mistress’s voice. “Her name is Bolt. She’s a speedster I met earlier tonight. She’s of no consequence.”

“No consequence! No consequence! Twister, if we’re followed it’s certainly a consequence,” Euphoria snapped.

“But Mistress, she should have no way to breach the armored car. We can ignore her,” Twister stammered.

Euphoria rubbed her finger to her temple. Her cherry red lips curled in a frown. “I thought you were smarter than that. We’ll never outrun a speedster in this thing, and if she follows us to my hideout, it could meet serious trouble. Stop the car. We’ll have to deal with her.”

Maria obediently pulled the armored truck to a stop. The street was deserted this late at night.

Bolt ran down the hood of the car and waved again.

“It’s your fault this moron followed us here, slave. So you deal with her,” Euphoria scowled.

“Yes Mistress, right away Mistress!” Maria snapped to attention. She couldn’t believe she had let her mistress down already. The guilt welled up in the pit of her stomach. She needed to make it right. She opened the door and stepped out into the damp air. “You shouldn’t be here, you’ve upset my Mistress,” she said coldly to the woman waiting outside.

“Mistress huh? Earlier it didn’t seem like you had one of those,” Bolt answered, her eyes lingering on Twister’s exaggerated body with a look of confusion.

“Well I have one now. Why were you following me anyway?” Maria huffed.

Bolt bit her lip. It looked like she was debating whether to talk or not. “I was gonna follow you home. I didn’t know how else to find you again.”

Maria’s heart skipped a beat. Bolt had wanted to see her again. Was she hitting on her? But that thought quickly drowned in her submission to Euphoria. What did it matter if Bolt was interested in her? Maria only needed Euphoria now. “Well you don’t need to see me again. I’m happy with Euphoria as my Mistress and she wants you gone, so beat it!”

Bolt started to turn and walk away, but she froze with her back turned. “No.”

“What did you say?”

Bolt turned to face her. “I said no. You’re not happy. I could tell before and I can still tell now.”

“Excuse Me?” Twister balked. How dare this woman suggest that she wasn’t thrilled at being Mistress’s slave.

“You’re lonely. I know because I’m lonely too.”

Maria fumed. “I am NOT LONELY! I am an obedient slave and I live to serve my Mistress. I couldn’t be happier.”

“I don’t believe you. You looked so happy when you jumped over that building. You don’t look like that now.”

“That’s because I have an annoying pest who’s in the way of my Mistress. If you want me to be happy then leave!” Maria lost her patience. Her hand shot forward in a fist.

Bolt easily ran out of the way. “Ok, I’ve made up my mind. I don’t usually do the whole hero thing, but I’m gonna save you,” Bolt said with conviction.

“I don’t need saving!” Twister shouted. Her arms fired like bullets from a gatling gun. Each punch stretched across the pavement, but none found their mark. Bolt kited her around the streetscape. She dodged and ducked, always too fast for Twister to pin down.

With every miss, Maria’s frustration grew. Bolt on the other hand seemed to be enjoying this. She leaned against a light pole, grinning broadly.

Maria growled. She tensed both arms and shot them out for a grab. This time Bolt didn’t dodge. She grabbed Maria’s elastic arms, and in a flash, tied them around the light post.

Twister’s jaw dropped in amazement. She tugged on her arms, trying to retract them but they wouldn’t budge. No one had ever done that to her. She was stuck.

Bolt appeared over her shoulder. “Sorry. I wanted to tie you up at some point, though not quite like this.”

Maria couldn’t help but imagine herself bound on a bed for the stranger. She didn’t mind that. Then she shook the image from her head. She shouldn’t be thinking about someone besides her Mistress.

An arrow raced through the air straight towards Bolt’s head. It would have hit anyone else. But Bolt dashed out of the way.

“Well, aren’t you a spunky one?” Euphoria called as she stepped out of the truck.

“You must be the Mistress I’ve heard so much about,” Bolt responded.

“That’s me. You sure are giving my slave a lot of trouble. We’ll have to teach you some proper discipline.” Her fingers reached for another arrow, but felt only air. She pulled her quiver around to see it had been emptied.

“Looking for these?” Bolt asked, twirling an arrow between her fingers.

“I . . . You . . . When? How?” Euphoria stammered. Then she realized the bow had vanished from her hand as well.

“I’m pretty quick,” Bolt said with a laugh. “If you want them back you just have to ask.”

“Give them back to me, you whore!” The blonde shouted, face flushed with rage.

“Okie dokie,” Bolt answered. She dashed towards Euphoria and dug the arrow into her thigh. Immediately it turned to light and vanished.

Maria felt a strange tickling in the back of her mind.

The color drained from Euphoria’s face. “Do you have any idea what you just did?” She hissed.

“Not really. I thought you would go ‘ow my leg’ or something. What’s the deal with the light show?”

Euphoria tenderly reached up to caress Bolt’s cheek. Her look of shock melted to one of sweet adoration. “Oh silly. I’ll tell you. Those are magic artifacts that make anyone struck by the arrows fall madly in love.”

Bolt’s tan skin turned beet red. “Oh. . . That’s um . . . Oh I mean, huh. I didn’t expect that,” she murmured. “So are you in love with me now?”

Euphoria blinked a few times. “Who me? Am I that obvious? I can’t hide anything from you, my love.” She tried to pull the speedster in for a kiss, but Bolt resisted.

“What about her?” She asked, gesturing towards Twister.

“Since you took the artifact, her love for me has transferred to you. We’re both yours now. You can do anything you want with us, anything at all,” Euphoria cooed.

Maria could feel the truth of Euphoria’s words. She felt so silly to have been in love with Euphoria. Clearly Bolt was always meant to be her Mistress. She longed to go to her, but she was still tied to the post. “It’s true, Mistress. Please untie me so I can serve you,” Maria pleaded.

Bolt pulled away from Euphoria’s embrace and began rapidly pacing the street. “So you’re both under my control? My control? I can do anything? Really, anything?”

“Yes, Mistress,” the two women answered in unison.

Bolt paced quietly for a while and then dashed to the car, returning with a pair of handcuffs. She gave them to Euphoria. “Put these on.”

“Of course Mistress. I see you like bondage,” she answered playfully, snapping them on.

“What? No I just . . . never mind. Now, I want you to march back to the bank and turn yourself in.”

“Would that really please you mistress? They’ll lock me away and then I won’t be able to serve you,” Euphoria said, voice heavy with worry.

“Yes it would.” Bolt said.

“Yes, Mistress,” With no further objections, Euphoria turned around and headed back to the bank.

Then Bolt turned her attention to Maria, walking slowly over and untying her. Maria could see a frown on her new Mistress’s face.

“Mistress, you look concerned. Is there anything I can do?”

Bolt pulled her goggles off, revealing her dark, almond shaped eyes. “So you’re really in love with me now?”

“Yes, Mistress.”

“You’d do anything I say?”

“Yes, Mistress.”

“I could take you home with me right now and you’d be all mine forever.”

“Yes, Mistress. Gladly,” Maria smiled.

“That’s really something.” Bolt ran her hand down Maria’s side, resting it gently on her hip. She stared off into the darkness, lost in thought. “But that’s not what I want,” she whispered.

“You don’t want me Mistress?” Maria’s heart sank. The memories of her recent rejection came crashing back into her mind.

Bolt turned and tossed the arrows onto the asphalt. “That’s not what I mean. I want the chase, the pursuit. I want to feel wanted and not just because of some magic. I want to feel like you want me so much you’d chase me to the end of the world.”

As soon as the arrows left Bolt’s fingers, Maria’s head began to clear. Her unyielding devotion to Bolt gave way to a deep gratitude. She also became keenly aware of her exposed legs. With a sigh, the shape of her hips returned to normal.

“Of course I want you,” Bolt whispered. She leaned in and kissed Maria, softly, tenderly.

Maria placed her hands on the woman’s back and held her close.

Finally Bolt broke the kiss. She nuzzled up to Twister’s ear. “Tag,” she whispered. Then Bolt turned and ran into the night, leaving Maria alone again. She watched the green streak fade away.

—-

Maria trudged slowly up the creaky wooden stairs, wearing ordinary street clothes. Her legs still ached from her huge jump the night before. She spoke into her new comm unit. “You sure this is the place? It looks like a real dump.” She glanced up at the peeling wallpaper.

Saphira’s sing-song voice came back through the earpiece, “Yes, I’m quite positive I saw her enter this building. I wish you the best of luck.”

“Thanks Saphira.” Then Maria closed the comm channel and turned down the hallway. The whole place smelled faintly of mildew. She stopped in front of the designated door, number 357.

Maria rapped her knuckles against the cracked wood. A rustling sound emanated from the other side. Then the door swung open, revealing a familiar face with a shocked expression. Even without the goggles, Bolt was unmistakable. “Twister? How did you find me?” She stammered.

“Call me Maria. I guess I just wanted you enough,” Maria said, stepping against the other woman’s body.

“I’m Asuka,” she answered, fidgeting nervously. “No one’s ever . . .”

Maria interrupted her with a kiss. They held each other for a long time, neither one pulling away. Finally, Maria came up for air. “Oh and Tag!” She gasped.

Asuka broke into a deep laugh, practically falling over. She took Maria’s hand and led her inside, closing the door.
