"Hi, Amy. Have you seen Kate recently ?"
"Hey, Julie." I said to the screen. "Erm. This morning, but just in passing."
"Damn." Julie sounded annoyed. "We're supposed to work on our project, but nobody has seen her today. Except you."
"Sounds kind of sus, Amy." A voice called out - Nina, my roommate, could apparently hear us.
A moment passed.
Then Julie and I both burst out laughing.
Julie shouted playfully. "Nina, you're just as sus."
Then, casually, she continued. "Anyways, if you hear from her, call me. Alright ?"
"Sure. Catch you later !"
I ended the call, and walked into Nina's bedroom.
"So, after apologizing about third impostoring all night yesterday except when I was impostor, Kate will have to apologize to Julie too."
"I mean, sure." said Nina, still browsing her phone. "She should be done shortly anyways."
In front of her, with a blank stare and headphones over her ears, Kate was kneeling. Her hand kept rubbing between her legs, with a rhythm only her could hear.
"Though I was thinking, Nina. This works next time we're impostors, but what happens if it's just one of us ?"
"I'm glad you asked." Nina grinned, turning her phone towards my eyes.
