Jess was pulling me by the hand towards our seat. Just in time, too, the movie was about to begin.
"I still don't know why I accepted to see this. I didn't even see Timehopper !"
"Don't worry !" whispered Jess enthusiastically. "Return of the Timehopper is the best half ! Way better than the original."
Jess was all smiles. "The first few minutes are a bit weird, some avant-garde stuff. But critics say that it's definitely the movie of the year !"
The lights dimmed, and I turned my focus towards the screen. As expected, it was... unexpected. The screen was filled with broad strikes and flashing colours.
"Oh." My voice sounded so far away. "So that's... the weird... part..."
"Well, that was a waste of time."
I turned towards Jess, then immediately regretted my words upon seeing her face.
"I mean, erm... Spending time with you was cool. Just, the movie..."
"Oh !" She exclaimed, immediately happier. "Well, Timehopper is only the first half. Apparently, Return of the Timehopper is way better."
"Huh. We should've seen this one then !"
"Hehe. We can return here tomorrow to see it. Geddit ? Return."
I groaned as Jess opened the door for me.
