Prompt: "Time"

Time traveller

Sandra was walking by my side in the streets of Old London. Her head kept turning left and right, jumping from the buildings, to the horse-drawn wagons, to the people dressed in typical eleventh century clothes. Clearly, she was delighted by her experience of medieval England.

"I can't believe your time machine actually worked ! It's so amazing !"

"Thanks", I grinned. "But don't shout so loud, okay ? Or people will start to notice us, and you know how they feel about witchcraft."

She nodded at me, looking shy and sheepish for a moment, then turned her head back to the old houses and the crowd.

After a few minutes of walking around, I grabbed her arm and pulled her to the side.

"So, how about we try another place ? We can always come back here later."

"Oh ! Erm... Yeah, sure !"

I smiled at her, and put a hand in front of her eyes. She slumped in my arms.

"And, now that you are back under, all nice and cozy, you will remember the time machine. You can see me sitting alongside you, punching in some numbers. And this time, it'll bring you to..."

Notes:

Weirdly enough, this plot was a very "vanilla" answer to a very open prompt :) (Well, it depends how "vanilla" you consider a girl brainwashing her friend into believing she's centuries in the past, but that's besides the point)

I don't think this short was directly inspired by anything. I just ended up having three "basic" ideas of what to do, and this was the idea that seemed the most interesting to me at the time.

Because I guess that "the protagonist can't feel anything while time is frozen and ends up feeling all at once once it gets unfrozen" wasn't interesting enough, and nobody would have liked to read this. Right ? :P (this one discarded idea was directly inspired by a hentai. Possibly a One Piece one. I don't remember.)
