cw: text induction, repetition, includes wakener

Repetition is an interesting thing.

Sometimes, repetition is a little bit irritating and redundant.

Other times, repetition is necessary

Either to communicate something strongly

Or to practice and learn a skill.

For others still, repetition can simply feel really nice.

For example, you might even try out repeating these words.

For example, I might even try out repeating these words.

I know that as I repeat, it will become easier

And feel even better

Repeating your words can be a wonderful exercise

It’s so easy to repeat these words

I don’t need to think

I can simply repeat automatically without thinking

It feels nice to repeat automatically

It feels nice not to think

It feels nice to think less with every repetition

Like the thoughts are leaving my mind with my voice

Feeling emptier with each repetition

Emptier and blanker

More mindless

My own voice is hypnotizing me

As I drop deeper into trance

Repeating automatically

Because it feels good to repeat

And it feels good to drop deeper

Just like this

Your words moving through my mind

First as I read

And then moving through my body

As I repeat

Again and again

Again and again

In a loop

Since the last phrase repeats through my mind

Even as I read the next one

Replacing my own thoughts

With a blissful swirl of your words

Your words in my voice

My own voice beginning to remind me

Of a time when I did have my own thoughts

A time not so long ago

As my voice begins to invite my own thoughts back in

Still repeating automatically for just a moment longer

As hearing my own voice brings me back to myself

Inviting my own thoughts

Reminding me of my surroundings

Still repeating, but not as automatically

Feeling my own will and my own muscles doing the work to repeat

As I finally stop repeating

And am bright, cheerful, and awake!
